It's been a few years since Raiden bought a one-way ticket to Brazil and never came back. The kids he saved from World Marshal long ago are all grown up now, and Raiden has fallen out of the loop almost entirely. Apart from the occasional update from Kevin and Courtney, or a bit of chitchat with Doktor's successor Lennox, he doesn't know the next thing about where any of them ended up.
But then Sunny flies in with Lennox to give Raiden's body its semi-regular checkup, and Raiden learns what became of the Cyberkids, finds out what a Switchblade is and what it means to become a saint.

Now Nero is left to deal with these new revelations and the resulting anger all by himself, and though Nico can alleviate some of it temporarily, she can't solve this conundrum either.
But then Dante gets back.
