What follows is an excruciating interrogation worthy of the SSS themselves, and Damian is forced to reckon with new and terrifying questions, such as:
Since when has Anya been into these girly magazines?
And more importantly, what the hell does she mean by ‘I was just thinking about this exact question’??
OR
Anya is fed up with waiting for Damian to ask her to the dance, so she takes matters into her own hands.

Laughingily, Rin rocked to her feet. Mirth danced in her eyes, so her glance to Sesshomaru as she absconded from his side could not be called properly apologetic. Barefoot, she cut through the grass to the river’s edge, tucking the panels of her violet kosode into her green obi.

He is the first of many who will ask her this. Another village, another hero, another time, and this story will repeat. Soon she will have the rhyme and meter of the epic poems they are subverting down to an art until she really can write these villages their new favorite legends, until she is a creature playing at being human to them and that rumor spreads. Today, she is feeling playful.
She smiles wide. “Can I tell you a secret?”
The hero of a story that doesn’t concern her leans in with rapt attention.

Safe Childbirth.But Rin is not pregnant. She is not married. She doesn’t even has a suitor, because although she and Sesshomaru have been growing close as of late, their relationship is still undefined. Spurred on by this unexpected gift, Rin is determined to make it come true, and decides to pursue Sesshomaru.
