Because once a week, he had the house entirely to himself from nine am to eight at night while he had his usual day off at the library and Robin was in class all day (and Eddie was on tour). He didn’t need the run of it, of course, because Robin would actually kill him if she found out he was engaging in sex acts in the kitchen — but it was nice to know he could be, like, loud and shift if he needed to.
(That, actually, might have been the only other thing Robin judged him for, but, in his defense, he grew up alone in a big ass house — he never really had to learn to be quiet.)

I hadn’t paid attention to the author’s name when I started reading this, but it reminded me of beren’s awesome fics, and how thoughtful she was about Steve’s powers in another Steve Is Seven And Has Powers fic of hers. Well, turns out the author is beren, and the entire fic was, as usual, amazing! 😅🤭🤩
I love Steve’s protective powers, and that he psionically Bubbles enemies, like Steven Universe and the Crystal Gems do, to protect his friends, rather than the more common use of putting barriers around oneself and one’s friends as a shield. I liked seeing Steve “Cut off” the baddies from their corrupted power source that way to protect himself and his friends.

omg hilarious and adorable! Shen Yuan is an incubus as canonically oblivious to his own allure, sexuality, and LBH's attraction as ever, and comically in denial about all of it. That, combined with Airplane's bad writing, also makes Shen Yuan the last to know he's an incubus. XD I loved watching the blackening Protagonist fall in love with kind, helpful stranger SY in the midst of the Abyss, and seeing his heart thaw just enough to let someone in and develop a healthier outlook and life goal. Not everyone is like the Shizun SQQ--there are kind souls like his washerwoman mother, too--people who just want him to be healthy and happy.

I love this fic! It’s so tragic watching SQQ accidentally humiliate himself time and again to help a cold and ungrateful LBH, before LBH realizes he desperately needs that help, and that SQQ will always be in his corner, no matter the personal cost. 🥺
The resolution is adorable, though, and I loved watching LBH fall in love with SQQ (the last to realize he was in love with LBH) all over again, and realize through SQQ’s pursuit that his Shizun never stopped loving him. 🥹
And yasssss, the canonical “Regret of Chunshan” saga fanfic helping LBH realize what his amnesia (might’ve? 😆) cost him! 😍😆😅🥰

Modern cultivator, Wei Wuxian, dies in a train crash and is sent back in time to the period of Ancient China he had been writing his thesis on - transmigrated into his own body as a child, dying on the streets of Yiling. He has no money, no family, but a knowledge of modern cultivation and of the historical events that are about to unfold.
He recalls the recently-unearthed journal of a woman who was imprisoned in Cloud Recesses against her will, and decides that she’s a good place to start to find someone who might be willing to help him dismantle the corruption that had sent the Cultivation World into the Dark Ages so long ago.
Of course, he had no idea that the person he sought would be the mother of Hanguang-Jun, the object of Wei Wuxian's fascination (“obsession,” his friend had corrected), since he had first learned of his existence in the ancient texts he'd studied.

If Shizun was hoping to hide his mysterious visitor from his peak, his edict for everyone to leave and not remark on her made it impossible for her to go unremarked on. Ming Fan was currently scurrying around, punishing anyone who suggested anything untoward was possibly happening. This mostly meant people waited to gossip until he was gone. The leading theory was that the woman was from one of the brothels Shizun was rumored to have frequented in the past. Luo Binghe had never seen any evidence that this rumor was true (he was actually concerned that Shizun didn’t know what sex was), so he’d dismissed the claims as slander.
Then a woman had prostrated herself at the bottom of the stairs of Cang Qiong and begged that a message be delivered to all on the mountain. It was urgent, she said. She could not say more at this time, but lives depended on the right person hearing these words.
“What is the message?” a disciple had asked.
The woman raised her head. “Beyonce,” she had said clearly. “Internet. The general concept of astronauts.”
