Tenna's potential partners needed to learn one thing as soon as possible: Ann was an incredibly anxious and nervous darkner. So when her girlfriend suddenly disappeared in broad daylight, the first thing she did was start to worry. No note, no warning, none of the staff even caught a glimpse of her – it was as if the woman had simply vanished. Even Ramb, who always managed to stay on top of even the smallest events while remaining in one place, knew nothing. When she managed to reach her by phone, Spamton told her some utter nonsense that made Tenna's wires feel like they were twisted.
As they said goodbye and the room fell into a heavy silence, the same words kept repeating themselves in Tenna's head.

At first, becoming a ghost was great! Spamton was free from the strings of his deal, and he can finally get revenge on everyone who abandoned him. But as time went on, Spamton realized that what he really wanted was his life back. An opportunity comes in the form of a creepy puppet made by his old partner. This new body is far from ideal, but it's at least something. If only anyone believed it was actually him in the puppet…
AKA Spamton's benefactor turned Spamton into a ghost, and he can possess a puppet version of himself that Tenna made.

Summary
TV World is dying, and Tenna, lord of this Dark World, has long since begun his descent into obsolescence. When a Lightner unexpectedly finds themselves on his stage, Tenna and his crew finally have a chance to entertain again and bring TV World back from the brink for a little while longer, but things do not go as planned. The Lightner, having no idea how they got onto that stage or why, proceeds to have a panic attack right then and there under so many eyes, sounds, and lights. They flee the stage and escape into the Static Wastes, one of the many decaying lands of TV World. Soon they discover just how dangerous this dying world is for a Lightner while Tenna and his crew follow in close pursuit.

He brought his hand to the side of Spamton's face. He was tiny in his hold — his thumb ran from his forehead to his chin and his fingers easily wrapped around the back of his skull. "Please? Whatever you're afraid of—o-or you're worrying about, we can face it together! That's...that's what this means, right?"
“…yeah," he said quietly. "Yeah, it is, Ant." He looked to the side, froze once more, like he was waiting for something again. Whatever he was waiting for didn't seem to come, because Tenna felt the moment those tense strings were cut.
The stiff line of his shoulders softened, that wobbly smile on his mouth returned, and he leaned into Tenna's hand, his own coming to rest near Tenna's thumb knuckle.
"I will," he said after a beat. "As soon as the [[tell the papers!]] are signed, I will. I...I promise."

Instead of picking up the phone, Tenna chases after Spamton. Unfortunately, he's far too late to save his little mailman from his fate, and his own might just get tangled up in the strings.
