But it doesn’t really work well when you’re in a country that almost equates beauty with success. He’s convinced that national figure skater Park Sunghoon’s face is the only reason he became a big shot. And while he may or may not defeat him at that, he believes he can surpass his name if he does more than well.
Park Sunghoon, on the other hand, only cares about creating relationships and building camaraderie with his fellow skaters since figure skating is rarely a team sport. Once more, since the Winter Games were coming up, he figured that it would be a good chance to mingle not only with other figure skaters but with speed skaters, especially the short track skaters—the bunch who looked the most fun. Sunoo is no stranger to the attention he receives on a daily basis.
Since he was little, strangers on the streets would randomly approach his parents and gush about what a beautiful baby he was, how he and his sister look so much alike. With a fan of long, dark eyelashes, skin that’s soft and poreless, and a shade of brown in his eyes that was uncommon, Sunoo’s gotten used to all the questions and comments about his appearance. Even with his acorn hair, he was still considered one of the most beautiful babies.
That hasn’t changed, even now that he’s an adult and in his 20’s. If anything, it seems like strangers have gotten bolder with their compliments.
Or, Sunoo keeps getting hit on and Sunghoon realizes that he needs to protect his sunshine from unwanted advances.
