It wasn’t long before Flux found himself tracing the curve of the other man’s shoulders with his eyes, memorizing the casual way he leaned against the railing, the way the sea glittered in his gaze, or how the sunlight didn’t just paint the sky lovely, but him too. He tried not to notice the sound of his friend’s laugh spilling into the warm afternoon, or the faint scent of sandalwood wafting in the air, something that made Flux’s heart tighten for reasons he couldn’t name. He shouldn’t be staring, shouldn’t be noticing, and yet he couldn’t bring himself to stop. Gods, what was wrong with him? Saps, his best friend, his constant, his… unfortunate counterpart, an impossible weight on his chest.
The truth coils within him until it aches: that he is hopelessly, unbearably, pathetically, in love with his best friend.
Alternatively, how to not tell your other half you love him.

Zam’s eyes snap open. He gasps for breath, clutching his throbbing forehead.
He is no longer in the hole he’d fought Wemmbu in. His armor is heavy, and it’s intact. He feels light on his feet, no longer in an adrenaline-fueled state of exhaustion.
Figures on elytras are gliding through the onslaught of rain, pursuing a blur of purple. Presumably Wemmbu, but that doesn’t make sense, because Zam swears that he just killed Wemmbu. And maybe Spyder drank too much, because to his horror, Schpood is right. He's smiling lightly and laughs at his stupid dad jokes. It's embarrassing to realize. His face flushes, but this time not from the alcohol he drank.

“You’ve worked all day on your vacation home, you deserve a little bit of rest. Nobody would judge you if you aren’t there right away.
Saps sighed, turning to face his friend to the hand connecting them. “Maybe just a short nap.” Saps finally decided Flux was right; he didn't have to be there right away.

Parrot has plenty of time, nowhere better to be, and an echo of his once dead best friend. All of his attempts to escape Paragon have been futile, all because of one reason.
Wifies knows Parrot better than anyone else. Allegedly.
So, Parrot gives up on prison break (for now) and switches gears. If Wifies knows everything about him, it's Parrot's turn to know everything about Wifies.
He will face the Director head on and claw Wifies out of him, whoever that may be.
(Or, Parrot stays with Wifies to try and understand him... and things change from there. Because I love them and their terrible toxic friendship.)

After the events of Infernus, Saparata withdraws from the world to live in a hut in the middle of the forest, just like he originally planned. Retirement, at long last! If only those scheming violet eyes would stop haunting his dreams.
Unfortunately, fate just loved to play tricks on him. Two days after settling in, an injured Fluixon shows up at his hut in the woods. Charred, battered, and missing a large chunk of his memory, but certainly not dead.

Summary
There were days when Parrot seemed to disappear off into his own world. His eyes, usually bright with greens and stubborn golds and determination, would glaze over with fog and death. The constant fidgeting that characterized his movements would suddenly cease and still. And his voice, already quiet, would disappear off the face of this world into wherever he went instead.
The Director had expected one of these days to arrive sometime during Paragon. But these things were hard to predict, much less how soon it arrived.
That’s what he thought when he looked down at Parrot, lying down in the cherry blossom field, suddenly loose with fog, eyes glazed over, staring dead in The Director’s eyes with no quiet thought.
(Wifies & Parrot self-indulgent small-fluff-before-Wifies-died-fic. Can be read as platonic or romantic.)
