Summary
Following the events of Bride of Re-Animator, Dr. West and Dr. Cain escape to a small desert town in the hopes of continuing their work. Herbert’s new theory about the aggression of their re-animated subjects is related to the pineal gland, so he proposes that they make use of the Pretorius Resonator, an ill-fated invention created by a Miskatonic professor. However, when the machine has unexpected side effects, the two men are forced to confront feelings they have kept dormant for years.

This wasn’t turning out how he imagined reuniting with the Zeroman would go. Of course, he never considered that Luger would be dumb enough to break into the UNITUS headquarters, nor that he would somehow manage to escape maximum security detainment with only a gunshot wound to show for it. Still, he had always hoped that when they did meet again he would show Luger he had become a braver man…
