“You have way too little faith in them,” Isagi said, still giddy with the promise of Chigiri’s now owed one thousand yen.
“No, I have just enough faith in them,” Chigiri argued. “Don’t you understand? When it comes to each other, they get so stupid. Something must have happened during the break!”
“This doesn’t take away from the fact you owe me.”
During the break after the U20 match, Reo wakes up with his genitalia replaced. This somehow leads to him and Nagi reconciling.

Nagi doesn’t answer right away. His gaze lingers on the girl’s retreating figure before it slides back to Reo, his expression still maddeningly calm. He shrugs, the movement causing his hand to press more firmly against Reo’s chest.
“She was wasting your time,” Nagi says, like it’s the simplest thing in the world.
Reo blinks, his heart stuttering in his chest. “It didn’t bother me,” he says softly, though his pulse betrays him.
Nagi tilts his head slightly, the corner of his mouth twitching into the barest hint of a frown.
“It bothered me.”

It was like his mind could only focus on one thing: Reo’s blood. He could hear it flowing under his skin, in sync with the beat of his heart; he could see it in the shadow of the deep red veins running down Reo’s neck; he could smell it, and god, did it smell good. He had always thought that, but it had never been as intense as it was right in that moment.
Reo’s voice shook slightly as Nagi buried himself deeper into his shoulder.
“You seem more tired than usual… Do you want me to call Ba-ya instead of riding the bike?”
Nagi wasn’t listening. He was currently finding the fabric of Reo’s jacket extremely annoying. With one hand he pulled it down, leaving Reo’s neck fully exposed. His mouth watered.

Reo is nice, cool, smart, all the positive adjectives mashed into one person, but he might be just a little too touchy. Aoto has never seen Nagi act the same, so he figures the guy is just putting up with it. Aoto can’t blame him. As much as he doesn’t like being touched, were it Reo, he’d probably put up with it, too.

“I don’t want to be a burden,” Reo says, seemingly already halfway to dreamland. “If you’re tired, then sleep.”
Seishiro doesn’t want anything more than to shut Reo up immediately, to tell him that this was anything but a burden. Sure, taking care of others wasn’t really up his alley, but Reo was far from being an ‘other’. Reo was his first for a lot of things— first person to show interest in him, first friend, first supporter, the list could go on and on. ‘Other’ was hardly the word he’d use; not when Reo was basically a piece of him at this point.
“You take care of me without even asking. You act like it’s nothing,” Seishiro traces his fingertips down his friend’s back as he speaks, realizing that he actually liked being the big spoon more than he thought he would. “I’m gonna do the same.”

It’s almost comical, Soushirou thinks, how exhausted he had felt before this and yet how immediately he reacted to it — suddenly fueled by a burning fervor that rivals him on his best days. The corners of his mouth already ticking upward as he considers what to say; what response would draw this out the longest. Would buy him enough time to turn Narumi’s pretty little eyes and starlit gaze toward him for even a fraction of a second, whether they be ruby red in their most natural state or blooming pink out of frustration. Willing to push himself through however many additional hours of physical exertion this might demand of him for it.

Nagi blinks again. The insult doesn’t even properly sink in with Nagi’s current level of bewilderment.
