To arrive on-cycle is to contend with the Haunting, the guards and envoys once holy overcome with the violent urge to banish intruders. It is a dangerous time.
But to arrive off-cycle unprepared is to condemn oneself to death. Take heed, pilgrim, for while the Haunted all fall still at the last bell toll, embedded silk all fallen loose like little more than stray cobwebs, the halls grow utterly silent.
Your steps, your song, your presence, it echoes. When the off-cycle comes, take heed and sleep. Or else, prepare for hide and seek.

Summary
There were many steps involved in bringing a Weaver into Pharloom.
First, the locating. Then, the sendoff - like soldiers off to war. Then the capture. The return. And lastly, the handoff.
The principle was simple. Give the captured Weaver to the first available Poppet; the silk-spun creations of their God, free to carry the threefold melody, voices to uplift and bring the chosen up through the Cradle.
Poppets were becoming rarer and rarer. For this half-weaver, there was only one left to receive it.
What happened then was no error, nor coup. It had not been for her benefit. She'd only done it because, well.
Because she could.

Summary
In the kingdom of Hallownest, there lies a temple. In that temple, there is a great stone egg, blacker than night. Within the safety of that shell, chained up tightly, is a Vessel. And within the Vessel, there is a lonely dream.
The Dream, a goddess of determination, light, the hope for something better. The Vessel, a deity of peace, stalwart strength, the hope for suffering to end.
Together, the two clash and connect in equal turns.

Summary
Quirrel, the Teacher’s Hand, finds himself living with a small group of mysterious beings called Vessels.
Vessels are a god-born mix of biological and artificial, a never-before-seen balance of Soul and Void. Their voices make things quieter, they have invisible pouches that can carry and maintain literally anything, and they have a habit of waking back up after being dead for centuries.
While he used to know all the details regarding such an arrangement, the information was stolen from him by the blasted plains’ sands.
