Giyu knew that Sanemi hated him. So it made no sense for Giyu to be at his house, particularly in the middle of the night. But after failing his last mission, Giyu needed something to take away the emptiness in his heart. He didn't want to be comforted. He didn't want anyone's concern. He wanted someone to be angry with him. He wanted to feel alive.
When Sanemi opened his door, a sneer already in place, he only had time to ask, "What the hell-?" before Giyu took his face in his hands and kissed him.

Sanemi even catches him wiping Tokito’s mouth! Who is this man?

Sanemi groaned, rolling over to face him. Giyuu looked down at him, hair tussled, cheeks faintly flushed. His hand slipped beneath Sanemi’s mismatched pajamas without hesitation, fingers grazing warm skin.Maybe that was another reason they were inseparable.

Summary
Everyone knows one thing, you can’t change the way the wind blows.
This is something that Sanemi knew for sure; being the Wind Pillar, he probably knew it better than anyone. The other thing that Sanemi knew for sure was about demons. Demons, murderous, blood-thirsty creatures willing to kill anything that threatened to do them harm. Regardless of what that ‘thing’ was. It didn’t matter if it was a parent to them, or a sibling, or their own child.
Sanemi tried forgetting his past, forgetting the fateful night, in which he saw his siblings killed. Murdered. By his own mother, who had been turned into a demon. The only survivor, besides himself, was his younger brother Genya. Who had called him the murderer, after Sanemi had no choice, but to kill their mother to protect the both of them from their own deaths.
That night is what changed Sanemi forever, and it forever solidified his opinion. Demons were evil, and there was no point in letting them survive.
All they deserved,
Was to be slain like the beasts they are.

The apartment smelled faintly of rain and cigarette smoke. Sanemi slumped against the doorframe, jacket half-off, shoes kicked somewhere near the wall. The night out with the other teachers had ended in the usual way—cheap beer, bad karaoke, and the long quiet walk back to his empty flat.
He was halfway through wrestling with his tie when he realized something was off. The air inside his living room didn’t feel like it normally did—too still, too cold, like a winter wind had slipped through a crack.
And then he saw him.
A man stood near the window, framed by pale moonlight. His clothes looked like something out of an old period drama—a black uniform under a strange, half-and-half haori patterned with a design Sanemi didn’t recognize. A katana hung at his hip, the steel whispering as it shifted with his movement.
But it wasn’t the sword that rooted Sanemi to the spot. It was the man’s face—beautiful in a way that almost hurt. Pale skin kissed by silver light. Eyes the colour of deep water after a storm. A solemn expression that didn’t belong in this world.
“What the hell—who are you?!” Sanemi's voice cracked with drink and adrenaline.
