He took a deep, shaky breath and buried his face in his arms. He didn't want to look at the city any more. It felt like it was taunting him. Everything going on as usual while he felt like he was falling apart.
.....
"Are you doing okay?" The question caught him off guard. He looked over at Hot Guy. She couldn't see his eyes, but the slight frown on his face and the way his shoulders were hunched held the same air of concern as his voice.
"I'm.." Was he doing okay? No. He wasn't. He should just lie and tell Hot Guy to leave. He didn't need to bother him with his problems. He should just say he was fine and move on. "I.."
