This piece is so vivid and well-written that I cannot recover, the subject matter is dark so do mind the creator’s warnings, but they paint such a spectacular picture with their words that I’m in awe. Definitely recommend giving this a read. I adore the style.
An excerpt that shines:
In the afternoon light, Lady Dimitrescu is pale and colossal, indescribable, ten feet tall and stippled with gunshots—glacially slowly, she stands up, titanic and unleashed, and all around Evangeline, the guns stop going off. The men stop fighting. The shouting dies down, and all of it is replaced by a kind of prickling, deadblanket awe—because in this moment, Lady Dimitrescu is nothing but magnificent. -
