Summary
It is cold, in the high-ceiled castle that sits at the center of the Antarctic Empire. But Technoblade’s room is warm, as usual, kept so by the blazing fire on the hearth and the lava hidden under several layers of rock, keeping the floor warm.
Phil stopped feeling like an intruder here a long time ago, but he has that feeling tonight. That there is something not quite right, that perhaps he should not be here.
Techno’s injured, though, so he shakes that feeling off and continues into the piglin’s room.Series

Summary
Techno tries to strangle that part of him that wants to hope. It’s only going to make things worse if it doesn’t work out, if he has to spend more time in here for a murder he didn’t commit.
When they bring him into the courtroom for the first hearing, he scans the group of people gathered to watch by sheer force of habit. He’s not expecting to see Phil, and when he does, he nearly breaks.
His friend is smiling, small and tense but there. He looks tired, there’s gray streaking his hair, but he- he’s smiling. He’s there and Techno hasn’t seen him in nearly three years and Phil is right there.whumptober day 31: asking for help

There are no more bomb shelters. There’s no safety anywhere except a few secluded camps, and even then, Wilbur knows not to trust anybody. He saw a group of survivors kill his parents over a rifle and a backpack of canned food.
He’s been around long enough to know that when people get sick, they die. It wasn’t always that way, he knows, but it’s hard to find safe places to get better and even harder to get medicine.
Wilbur doesn’t have any medicine. He’s out in the cold, he’s wet, and he can’t reach his bag with his food and water and stuff.

Tommy rests his head against Techno’s shoulder, his hands closing in his brother’s shirt. “Are you in trouble?”
“A bit,” Techno says, a blatant lie. He’s not going to place all of it on Tommy’s shoulders- his desertion to escape an unjust war, the consequences that will await him if he’s caught, if they don’t find this money and escape to the north.
Tommy presses closer. “Are we gonna be okay?” he asks.
Techno should stay strong for his brother. He should lie and tell him it’s going to be okay.
