Summary
Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will are forced to spend the summer at a Mr. Murray Bauman’s house (bunker more like). Mike would say it was because god hates him, but really, their parents had schemed with Joyce to get the kids out of the house this summer. Mr. Bauman also owed Joyce a favor.
During an incredibly competitive game of hide and seek, Dustin discovers an ancient looking wardrobe, distinctly different from any of the modern furniture in Mr. Bauman’s hole of a home. Inside the wardrobe, is something Dustin has never seen before. It’s like a real-life D&D campaign in there. Now he just has to convince the rest of the party to venture into the unknown with him.

Mike blinks once. Twice. He opens his mouth to offer a rebuttal to Will’s comment, but he’s drawing a blank. Will didn’t ask if he had eaten dinner, he said it point-blank, like he was 100% certain of what he just said. It teeters the line between a statement and accusation, but Mike’s now reminded of the fight at the roller-rink they had early that day that resulted in this tension-filled mess in the first place.

Summary
To prevent Will from being a vessel for Vecna's spying through their shared link every time he gets a tingle in his neck, Mike has to be touching Will to ward Vecna's influence away. It could be a hand hold, a hug, or even a cuddling session. It's awkward for both Mike and Will, especially since Mike is still dating El and El is a big supporter of it if that's what it takes to keep Will safe. But being Will's temporary cure isn't the only problem of Mike's. He's hiding symptoms of being cursed.

Mike hates Valentine’s Day. It was fun as kids, when teachers would make every student decorate a little shoe box with pink and red heart stickers, that by the end of the day would be filled with cheesy Valentines and sweets.
But this isn’t kindergarten anymore— there are no school-enforced rules that his classmates have to give him a Valentine. He has to earn them. And he hasn’t.
