Summary
(I guess we'll have to see)
“Did you catch anything?” Dream asks, and George shakes his head. Dream frowns, mouth opening to ask another question, or maybe suggest a new spot to try—he’s taken to asking his family for their secret places, which melts George into an irreparable puddle of goo—but George kisses the words from his tongue with an easy slide of his hand down Dream’s face to tilt his head at the right angle.
They don’t talk more of fishing, or anything at all. The bag lies nearly forgotten, save for the soft press of it against George’s memory, a sister awareness to the physical press of Dream’s body to his as they sink into sleep.
George dreams often of things he once desired.

“Well,” Dream splutters, and George is certain that he’s blushing. “That was like, obvious. That it was your chocolate because it was that British shit. I had to seek it out. So I remember my gifts when they have intention.”
“So the Florida cup you presented to me the day I got here didn’t have any intention?”
“None,” Dream says, crossing his arms. “Can I have the cup back.”
“Only if you admit that you were drinking from it because it’s mine.”

Summary
"My, like, night terrors," George had been telling him one night three Halloween’s ago, the one before his first one in Florida, "they get bad the night before Halloween. They get really bad. I don’t know why. They just do."
"What were you dreaming of just now?"
George took a while to answer, the only reason Dream knew he would do so was because of the way he could hear his lips part hesitantly before coming back together again. He heard his muffled sighs of frustration, his breathing deepening with each second the time dragged on.
"You don’t have to tell me."
"You," George had said almost at the same time. "I was dreaming of you. And, like, bad things happening. To you."
It's often that Dream wishes he could climb inside George's head.

Summary
Dream feels a pit open up in his stomach. “Did I miss your birthday?”
George blinks, “It’s today. I already streamed.”
His heart drops, “I missed your stream?”
“Don’t worry about that, you’re sick. I still had a good time.”
“But it’s your first birthday here, and I said I was going to be there.”
“Dream, stop.” George scolds, taking his empty bowl with gentle hands and scooting closer to sit in front of him on the bed. “I said don’t worry. No one was upset, everyone understood. I’m not upset. I purposefully didn’t wake you up because I knew you would’ve joined anyways if I did. I just want you to feel better.”

Summary
It was always implausible; he’d known that from the start, but there had been a part of him that had hoped – hoped – that maybe this was something they could go through with, a little life that he and Dream could create together, even if it was in labs and test tubes and however cloning works. In some strange, alien sense, it has that same sharp aftertaste as the knowledge that they’ll never have a biological baby of their own.
Or, Patches, cloning, baby fever, and family.
