Summary
The first time Suguru met Gojo Satoru, he wanted to punch him.
Not because Satoru had done anything violent, loud, or inappropriate—though, actually, he had done all of that. Mostly, it was because Suguru didn’t like beautiful people who acted like they owned the place.
And Gojo Satoru strutted into Mononoke Books like it was already his.
“Yo, Suguru, got any tragic gay Shakespearean knock-offs today?” was the first thing he ever said. No hello. No introductions. Just loud, casual blasphemy with the familiarity of an old lover and the smirk of a chaos god in sunglasses.
Suguru blinked, halfway through cataloging a box of rare poetry books, a pencil behind his ear, and said, “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” Satoru replied, already ducking between two of the crowded shelves like he’d been here a thousand times. “You give off ‘hoards unreadable 17th-century erotica’ vibes. I bet there’s a whole shelf labeled ‘Horny Hamlet’.”
Suguru opened his mouth. Closed it. And instead of engaging, he just sighed—because fighting him would be admitting defeat.
That set the tone for the months that followed.
