And again, Jeno knocks the breath out of Jaemin when he says, without hesitation, "I haven't felt lonely since I met you."
Jaemin opens himself up a little more, hoping Jeno doesn't hear the way his voice shakes when he replies, "Yeah. Me either."

Summary
Jaemin Na is a lot of things: vulgar, excitable, intelligent, honest, beautiful. Jeno thinks he's a firecracker, a supernova, the sun shining bright and burning everything in his path as Jeno revolves around him. They don't make sense, their friendship defying the laws of social order. Jeno doesn't think he deserves to know Jaemin because he can never keep up, but that's because he doesn't see the way Jaemin is always looking back for him to make sure he's still there.
TLDR; Jaemin Na likes trouble, Jeno Lee likes Jaemin, together a story is born.

Summary
Marriages were always a political gesture. You, marry your daughter to my son, and then our diplomatic bond will be public and non-reversible. It was a statement more than anything. A show of trust. Insurance against a falling out. Jaemin did not want that. Jaemin did not want to marry a princess. He wanted to marry someone of his own choice.
Why did the princes in fairy tales always get to marry their true loves, but the princes in real life did not?
Jaemin looked out the palace window to the twisting waves, and wondered how fast they could carry him away.
