Basil had learned that to survive his friendship with Henry, there would have to be things that he’d just have to accept. If Henry wanted to be a pedant, then Basil was better off letting him be one. If he wanted to meet Basil’s muse and then whisk him off to some club, then Basil wouldn’t try to stop him.
