Summary
There are street lamps shining down from the bridge, the moths that flutter in their light casting garish, shifting patterns over the corpse’s rotted flesh. This close, it’s impossible to deny. There’s no way that Soobin is hallucinating. What’s left of the corpse’s skin is a sickly, suffocated blue, and it’s wearing what appears to be a dirty, torn wedding gown.
--
Soobin is due to be wed to a stranger as his family's ticket to the upper echelons of high society - but fate always has other plans. When vows go awry and Soobin is dragged to the Land of the Dead by a deceased bride-to-be, he has to find a way to get back - and decide if he even actually wants to.
A yeonbin Corpse Bride AU! I've taken some artistic liberties with the plotline (and with the many gendered terms, such as bride and groom), but for the most part, it follows the plot of the movie fairly close.

Summary
“I don’t mind that you’re a beta, Soobin. None of us do. It’s not something that matters to me.”
For some reason, that hurts. He understands what Yeonjun is trying to say, but something about those words still prick and poke at something inside of Soobin that’s eager to hurt. Something that wants to find anything to ache over.
He wants it to matter. He wants Yeonjun to want him because he’s a beta, not in spite of it.
That’s not how it works when you’re a beta, though.

Soobin offers to help Yeonjun through his rut.

Summary
The creature eyes him suspiciously for a moment, but the heaving of his chest makes it clear he’s been struggling for a while. His tense shoulders slump with exhaustion, and the mistrust in his eyes gives way to broken acceptance. Despite his wariness, it looks as though he's decided to let Yeonjun help him.
Yeonjun finally gets close enough to take in the details of the stranger’s face. The man’s— dolphin’s— mer...person’s? What the f— face is pale and scared, with wet-dark bangs that are plastered against his forehead and dripping into even darker eyes. He looks up at Yeonjun through his hair, irises endless like the depths of the sea, and Yeonjun freezes up all over again.
-
Yeonjun is a lifeguard who had been expecting an average summer of eating pier fries and saving the day, and Soobin is a mermaid who hadn't been expecting to wash up on a beach.

Summary
Soobin had ducked away from a particularly powerful tail thrash that had sent a bottle of 5-in-1 sailing past his ear, and Yeonjun’s giant, fearful yellow eyes had caught the movement. He bared his teeth at Soobin in a growl, shrinking back against the wall. All of his fins were flared out, their spines sharp and raised like hackles on an angry dog. He looked dangerous.
He looked beautiful.
-
Soobin saves a mermaid. At least, he thinks he has- but can you really call it a rescue when you keep him confined to your bathtub for months on end? Yeonjun, while grateful, longs to be free, and Soobin struggles with feelings of guilt, selfishness, and the pain of loving something (or someone) in a way that hurts them.

Summary
“Ah… I don’t really remember names.”
A funny smile quirks Yeonjun’s lips. There’s something in his eyes, an emotion Soobin doesn’t know the name for. He squeezes Soobin’s thigh once, briefly, and lets his hand relax again. “You remembered mine,” he points out. “We’d never even talked before.”
“You’re not just any coworker,” Soobin starts, immediately jumping to defend himself. If there’s something Soobin can’t stand, it’s letting somebody get the last word. Unfortunately for Soobin, this usually backfires on him, and with a stab of mortification he realizes a second too late after the words slip from his lips that this is one of those moments where he’s been handed a shovel and has started to dig.
“Oh?” Yeonjun’s eyes glitter. “Am I not?”
-
Soobin has been living in a monotonous cycle of work-eat-sleep, and after a long day at the office, is resigned to head home and do it all over again. On his way out, he runs into his ethereally pretty coworker, Yeonjun, who changes his entire life in a single night.

Summary
Twisted halfway across the bed with his face smashed against Yeonjun’s tailbone, Soobin mumbles, “you're wearing too many clothes.”
Yeonjun reaches a hand back to card his fingers through Soobin’s hair. “Are you saying these shorts aren't short enough for you?”
The sensation of Yeonjun’s soft fingertips against his scalp tingles pleasantly down Soobin's neck. He closes his eyes, warm and content. “What part of ‘too many clothes’ are you misunderstanding?"
--
Soobin and Yeonjun spend their 1,000th day as a couple in a hotel room, basking in each other's company.

Summary
“Soobin-ah, have you ever thought… Do you maybe think… That you might be gay?”
Soobin snorts a laugh, so startled by the question that he almost spews orange soda out of his nose. They’re sitting on the floor of Yeonjun’s room, and Soobin’s got one elbow propped against the end of Yeonjun’s bed. “I can’t be gay, hyung. I like girls.”
-
In his last year of high school, Yeonjun comes out as gay, and Soobin has some revelations of his own.

Maid dress, the producer had said.
Cat ears, the producer had added.
“As punishment, in the next episode of TO DO, Yeonjun will be dressed as a cat maid.”
