It was just an ordinary walk to a restaurant. Tim had insisted that if they were going to talk, there would be no tape recorders or weird Archives ghosts listening in. A bit of fresh air wouldn’t kill him, Tim had said. What could go wrong?
By the time Jon spots the white delivery van, it’s much too late.
The Stranger kidnaps Jon. Tim comes along for the ride.

Summary
Tim can count on one hand the number of times Jon has asked him for a favor; every time has been because it was absolutely necessary, there were no other options, and Jon asked in the most awkward and roundabout way he could possibly manage, his face hot enough to fry an egg and his eyes glued to the floor and his hands fidgeting relentlessly.
This is no different, really, but for the substance of the favor. It isn't every day that Tim is asked so politely to rail someone's brains out, and if he had thought about it hypothetically before it actually came up, he would have put the chances of it being Jon at approximately zero percent.Bookmarked by squidray

Michael rolled his eyes inwardly at the pretension of ”recollections,”—it was a month and a half ago—but forged ahead.
“I wasn’t trying to seduce you! I mean, look at you.” He waved his hands, encompassing Elias’s aristocratic nose, his wavy dark hair, the artistic line of him perched on the fire escape, like a figure from a Leyendecker, slumming it. “I was just having fun.”
Elias preened, taking a long drag on the joint and tilting his head to let out the smoke in a thin stream, lip curled.
“And yet,” he murmured, watching Michael from the corner of his eye. And Michael, bold from the version of himself Elias had created, put his cool fingers against the side of Elias’s neck and kissed him.
Michael had this way of never pulling you to him when he kissed you. Endlessly giving, he always came to you.

Tim has only ever been full on, capital letters ‘In Love’ with three people in his life:
The first was one of his childhood best friends - Martin Blackwood, who’s curly hair and bright smile made Tim dizzy with joy and something else he would only learn to identify long after Martin had faded from his life.
The second he met in his first year of University in a writing class - Jonathan Sims, who had always made time for Tim’s antics and had shown a softer side under their scowl and eyeshadow that Tim had been determined to see more of, until they were pulled apart by busy schedules and varying life choices.
The third was his other childhood best friend - Sasha James, and while after three dates they had come to the realisation that they weren’t going to work as a ‘Proper Couple’, she had made the promise to stay his best friend, even if she has been ridiculously busy with her recent promotion to Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute, London.
It was at that point that Tim had consigned himself to the fact that maybe, love just wasn’t for him. So imagine the emotional rollercoaster he goes on when he is reunited with Martin and Jon, only to learn that they are both happily married. To each other.
