  Summary

  An AU set in the 1980s in which Francis Crawford becomes the renowned musician Lymond. He struggles to free himself from a restrictive slave contract made in his youth, discovers that the mob really does have interests everywhere, and goes on to spend the decade trying to prove that music really can make a difference. Via the Eurovision Song Contest, West (and East) Berlin, Music for Miners benefit gigs, Sannyasin ashrams, the glasnost-era USSR and the massive charity festivals of the decade, Lymond has to figure out how to navigate the world's adoration, expectations and ambitions for him.
