“Rose Landry.” Rozanov’s voice is deep and quiet, rumbling across the pavement like one of his infamous sports cars, accent curling around the “r’s” in her name like a snake. He tilts his head to her, a facsimile of a nod.
Rose nods back—what else is she supposed to do in this situation? “Ilya Rozanov.”
Rozanov’s lips twitch. “Ah, you know me, yes?”

Rose Landry meets Ilya Rozanov for the first time outside Bell Centre after a Montreal-Boston game while trying to surprise Shane. He is not at all what she expects, and it changes everything.
