Link just stares at her. He can feel the pounding of his heart in his ears. This is so stupid and ridiculous and an absolute cliché that Zelda, who he has been crazy about for ages, is now asking him to pretend to be in love with her and to care for her as if he hasn’t already been doing that since they took that Bioethics seminar together back in school.

Sometimes it takes an awkward dinner, a snowy weekend away, and some of Nayru's holiday magic for things to change. Especially when you've been in love with your best friend for years.
