Robby manages a smile, his eyes closing. “That’s better?”
“What?”
Robby beckons Dennis with both hands. Dennis’ heart drops. His feet almost carry him forward across the rug, but he holds steady.
“Call me out. Fucking lay into me. I’ve earned it.”Dennis receives a call in the middle of the night. He picks Robby up, and their dynamic might change completely.

Summary
His world shifted quickly, bright lights blurring past as he flew through a hallway. Dozens of voices shouted around him, none of which he could distinguish. A figure stood above him, frantically shouting orders to those around him. When he forced his eyes to open further, the figure slowly came into focus.
It was Dr. Robby.
Weird, Dennis thought idly, his eyes already beginning to fall shut
„Witaker! Eyes on me,” Robby’s voice shouted, startling Dennis awake.
He tried his best to open his eyes again, but his eyelids felt far too heavy. When he tried to close them again, Robby jostled him awake by shaking his shoulder roughly.
„Hey, keep your eyes open!” Robby ordered. „Do you know where you are?”

In which Dennis falls victim to a brutal stabbing by a vengeful family member of a patient he couldn't save, and Robby has to nurse him back to health.

Summary
“Come here, kid.” One of Robby’s hands catches Dennis’s and lands against his sternum, trapping his arm against his chest, while the other stays in his hair, fingers winding into damp curls. Dennis’s attention is everywhere and panicked. He catches a flash of Perlah readying the needle and a desperate sound punches out of him.
“Nope, don’t look at that,” Robby says, using the hand in his hair to force his head back, angling his vision away from the commotion and up towards him. Dennis’s eyes lock onto his, pupils blown wide. “Look at me. Yep, good. I’m right here. You’re doing so good, honey. Just keep those eyes on me.”
The IV tourniquet snaps into place and panic flashes anew in Dennis’s face. ”Robby—”
“I know. It’s just Dana and Perlah. We’re just pushing some fluids, no more drugs. You’re safe.” Out of the corner of his eye, Robby can see Perlah speeding through what has to be the fastest IV placement of her career, Dana keeping her grip on Dennis’s hand to stop him from jerking away. Dana shoots him a glance of warning and Robby tightens his hold. “Okay, quick poke now. Still just us. Deep breath, Dennis. I've got you."

“You think my hands are nice?” Dr Robby questioned, folding his eyebrows in investigation.
“Yeah.” Dennis replied, swallowed back the spit that had filled his mouth and met his attending gaze as innocently as possible.
“Yeah?” There was a brief silence where the older man’s eyes fell down to Whitaker’s lips, “Do you think it’s nice when I put them on you?”
