Summary
There, printed in black and white, was a missing persons poster. Max felt the air get sucked out of her lungs as her eyes followed the lines of details printed along the side of the page. She felt the ground beneath her begin to shift as she forced herself to look at the photo that stared back at her. The photo showed the steely eyes of someone that made Max’s stomach turn. She looked older now, her hair short, her features angular and set with the attitude of a sharp knife. Although she looked way different than Max remembered, there was no mistaking who it was.

Chloe turned around to find hazel eyes watching her closely, a single blue feather earring dangling loosely as Rachel tilted her head in amusement. “Don’t worry your pretty little head,” Chloe replied, “You’re about to have the best breakfast you’ve ever had.”
“So, you admit it,” Rachel said with a smirk, “You think I’m pretty.”

“You love it.” Emma replied, “We played this improv game that I used to play in high school though. It was pretty fun.”
There was a pause before a devious grin played at the corners of Emma's lips, “We should play!”
“Like right now?” Abi asked, eyebrow quirked in uncertainty.
“Totally right now! It’s easy.” Emma stood up from her chair to put away the box of paintbrushes, “It’s called ‘What If’ and it’s basically a cause and effect game.”

“Where does this lead to?” she says.
“Why don’t we find out?” Chloe says as she continues walking.
The two follow the candles up the hill to the train tracks where the old train lays still. The path leads them to a train car that has it’s door wide open. Chloe lets go of Rachel’s hand and hops into the open car. She turns around and sees Rachel standing with her mouth open in awe.
“Chloe…” she manages to say after a moment.
“Surprise.” Chloe responds.
