Summary
Vi raises a shoulder in a shrug. “Poet is a bit of an overstatement.” Nostalgia begins to crawl over her face again, turning the gray of her eyes hazy and quirking the scarred corner of her mouth into a reminiscent smile. Her head eases back against the top of the cushions, and she stares out at the evening sky above them, eyes darting around as if trying to find memories written in the stars. “I liked to pretend I was all big and smart like Vander. I’d steal his copy and underline words I really liked, and then I’d copy them down and try playing with them to make my own little poems.” Vi scoffs lightly. “The pieces I wrote back then were pretty shit, though.”
“I’m sure they were beautiful.” Caitlyn rests her head against Vi’s shoulder, and Vi twists her head to meet her gaze now, the corner of her jaw brushing against Caitlyn’s hairline. “Did you ever get to share them with anyone else?”
This pulls a rich, genuine laugh from Vi, so deep that it reverberates through her muscles and rolls into Caitlyn’s ear. “No,” she huffs adamantly.

Caitlyn sighs into her skin. “I’m sorry.”
Vi looks away from the reflection of the two of them, too afraid to see what might appear in her own face. She only closes her eyes and clenches her jaw. “I know,” she murmurs.
“I am, Vi.” Caitlyn’s voice comes more solid now, anguished and determinedly passionate, like she’s trying to assert a point at a council meeting. “I- I don’t want to go into battle without you knowing how regretful I am. To you. To the Undercity. To-”
But Vi isn’t a council meeting. She’s Vi.
“I know, Cait.” Vi feels her knuckles curl into the sink again, and she has to fight to release them.

Summary
Caitlyn & Vi talk about Vi's emotional and mental state after losing most of her family. It's set just a few days after season 2 ends, and for context, Caitlyn hasn't found Jinx's bomb yet. (tw for blood mention)

Caitlyn knows, in truth, that she would have eventually learned to live with Vi’s loss. Sure, it would have hurt, but dealing with Vi’s decision to leave would have been a walk in the park compared to the things they’ve had to go through just to be together. It would have stung, but it would’ve only left a scar, not a festering wound.
But now, knowing the kinds of sacrifices they’ve made to end up at this point, the kinds of sacrifices Vi’s made to end up here now, she knows that their wounds are going to take a long time to heal. Vi’s might bleed for years.

Summary
Jinx & Vi share a moment of reconciliation while they're at the commune (in-between moment of season 2 ep 5)

“I’m glad she found you,” Vi says, then blinks. She wasn’t even aware she was speaking, but she finds that she means her words. “She seems to really like being around you.”And you seem so alive around her. But Vi doesn’t say this. She’s afraid she might set off some sort of trigger if she admitted that to Jinx. Still, a new chill builds up in her ribs at the thought, and when she looks up at Jinx, whose gaze isn’t fully on her, an ache pulses in her throat.
It shocks Vi, every single time she looks at her sister, how grown up she is now. Vi remembers how small she used to be, her arms and legs almost nothing but bones, her eyes large and hungry as she took the world in. And Jinx still is concerningly thin, but Vi doesn’t miss the lean muscles on her arms, the bright tattoos all over her body. She’s not the little girl Vi left alone at the raging fire all those years ago - but she’s not exactly grown up, either. There’s still a little girl trapped in there, and she peaks through every now and then, through the curiosity in her eyes and the dumb jokes.

Summary
basically my take on caitlyn guilt arc because we didn't see much of it in s2 and i was unhappy with her. she gets drunk at a gala and becomes guilty and angry and starts hallucinating. tw for drinking & alcohol!

Caitlyn tries on another smile, but still it doesn’t fit right. In fact, at the mention of Mother, it only feels heavier against her. She turns back to her reflection and regards herself. She knows, objectively, she looks fine; she looks like any other gala-goer, with her long lilac gown and her shining jewelry winking in the lights. But she doesn’t feel shiny; instead, she feels brittle on the inside, like her intestines have been chopped up and put through a grinder and then sewn back inside her.For a brief, confusing second, she wonders what Vi would think of her like this. She’d probably laugh, tell her she looks like some rich bozo on her way to debate the political climate and get drunk off prissy booze.
And isn’t that exactly what Caitlyn’s going to do?
A wave of dread washes over her, and her grip on the sink tightens. Her eyes squeeze shut. No, Caitlyn thinks. I won’t let you taunt me tonight.

Summary
caitlyn and vi bump into each other after one of vi's pit fighting matches. angst and hate sex ensues (but it's not smut because i don't go into that much detail about the actual sex). important content warnings for blood & injury, vomiting, alcohol use/abuse, sexual content.

Vi leans back on her hands as she watches her. “Do your Enforcer friends know you’re fraternizing with the enemy?” she crows. “I don’t think sleeping with an illegal pitfighter is considered very commander-ly of you.” Then Vi scoffs. “With my luck, you’re going to arrest me after this for aggravated assault of an officer.”
Caitlyn glances at her with an almost comical look of irritation on her face. At one point, maybe this would’ve made Vi laugh, but now it only makes her heart feel heavy in her chest. This moment doesn’t feel real; it feels like she’s getting a glimpse into some alternate universe, where maybe her attempts at being annoying might have come across as more lighthearted plays of flirtation. But instead, in this universe, in this moment, their existences are in complete opposition of each other. Two girls who’ve lost themselves.

Vi’s smile melts even wider, and she finds herself crawling forward on her hands as Caitlyn pulls. “Wow,” she breathes. “You’re hot.”
Cait smiles, and the pressure on Vi’s jaw intensifies. She can feel the insides of her cheeks sinking into her teeth, and it makes her heart full. “You’re precious when you’re drunk,” Cait says, her voice echoing around Vi’s eyes.
As Cait leans forward with the prettiest smile in the world, Vi reaches and pulls her along into her lap. Her arms rest against Cait’s waist, and she can feel the warmth of her skin through the thin fabric of her nightshirt. Something falls out of Vi’s chest, something airy and soft, and Vi realizes she’s laughing. “Who says I’m drunk?”

In this new silence, Vi’s eyes trace Cait’s body. She starts at her face, radiant in the sunlight, then rolls over her neck, over her bare chest, down her abdomen. It’s kind of amazing the way Cait almost commands the light to fall on her. Her gaze catches on every scratch and gash and bruise on her body, and, impulsively, she reaches out and brushes her fingers over each blemish. Even bloodied and battered, she somehow has a way of stealing the beauty from the room.
She has the look of a warrior.

Summary
Vi and Cait spend a night at a club in Piltover.

“I became angry.” Cait lets out a soft breath, and Vi straightens herself to look at Cait in the eye again. “You know how the story goes.”
Another blade of light slashes against Cait’s face, right across her eye patch, and ignites her skin from within. Vi squints at her now, trying to soak in every detail that she can, but her mind wanders to those drunken nights at the bar. She remembers that rage that ignited her every choice, from demanding another round to glaring at any bar patron who even dared to look her way. But more than anything, she remembers the flashes of Caitlyn in every body, the way her ghost haunted her from behind curtains and from people’s smiles and from the shadows of the strobing lights at the bar.
But now, here Cait is, live and in the flesh.
And Vi doesn’t feel angry anymore.

Leo turns back to Jason with a grin and waves a dismissive hand. “Naaah. I’m sure the universe will bring them back to me when the time is right. Hey,” Leo chirps, his eyes brightening, “why don’t we get out of here and do something?”
Jason blinks in surprise. He wasn’t expecting the conversation to take such a dramatic turn, and Jason becomes a little concerned for how drunk Leo might actually be. “Like what?”
Leo shrugs, but he already has a hand on Jason’s wrist, gently tugging on it. “That’s for us to figure out.”

Reyna’s brows scrunch in confused frustration, but she chooses wisely not to say anything. Instead, she pulls herself closer and brushes a hand against Thalia’s face. Thalia’s breath hitches at her touch. “It’s sad that so many people see themselves as monsters,” she says, “and that the true monsters only see themselves as the hero.”
Thalia traces her thumb against Reyna’s jaw, down her chin, against her lips. “You’ve never seen yourself as a monster?”
Reyna tilts her head closer, and her eyes drift towards Thalia’s lips. “What do you think got me to Piltover to begin with?”

Leo has always been flirty. When he casually smirks at Jason and tells him how handsome he looks; when he bites his lip suggestively and tells Jason that no, he doesn’t mind if he changes his shirt in front of him; when Jason asks what’s for dinner and Leo responds, “Not sure, but I know you’re the dessert,” Jason doesn’t make much of it. Sure, an occasional blush and an attempt at jokingly flirting back, but Jason knows he doesn’t mean it. Besides, he isn’t special. If Jason had to count the amount of people Leo had made out with just in the past year, it might take both his hands.
But lately it’s been different. There’s a softness in Leo’s eyes when he catches sight of Jason, a more soulful smirk when he offers that they sleep in the same bed, a hopefulness when he asks Jason if he wants to come with him on his next haul.

It’s been a minute since he’s gotten to actually see him. Most of Leo is the same - the same raging curls that fly with every punch he throws; the same crazed glimmer in his eyes as he fights with his punching bag. But from this far, Jason can’t help but to notice the changes, too - he’s gotten taller, almost Jason’s height, and his arms - all open and bare, thanks to Leo’s muscle shirt - have undoubtedly become more defined, the lines of his muscles flexing with every punch. His hair’s grown a little longer, falling over his eyes and curling over his ears, and Jason thinks he spots new piercings twinkling around them. A window above Leo lets a little light seep through, and it drapes over him, turning his skin into gleaming bronze.
Jason’s breath hitches at the sight. Even sweating, even out of breath, he’s more beautiful than Jason remembers.
Then Leo turns to him, and all of Jason’s admiration gives way to pure terror.

Taking the internship meant Jason wouldn’t get to wake up to his humanly impossible shapes anymore. He wouldn’t be able to make him coffee, wouldn’t be able to see him get ready for work the next morning, wouldn't get to jumpscare him by hiding in the closet. But as much as he loved Leo, this wasn’t exactly something he could easily pass up.
He had his decision made. The only issue was how he was going to tell Leo.

Maybe the silences between them are normal, and she’s just starting to get antsy. Besides, it’s not like they’re having any serious fights or anything. As long as they’re not fighting, they’re good.
In fact, as Piper lays there, watching Jason come out of the water with the sunset glinting over his bare chest, illuminating each individual water droplet, the sun ringing his body with a golden halo, things are better than good. Great, even.
