Summary
It started as a harmless feeling of being deprived of love. Having grown up as an orphan, Akito pushed himself to believe that he didn't need any kind of affection which he painfully lacked.
That is, until he met this doctor and figured just how caring humans could be towards others. All those smiles and asking him about how his day had been made Akito want to throw up. He wouldn't have cared if Toya did it only because it's his job, but he was genuine. Toya did care about Akito deeply and he hated it. He didn't need all that, did he?
But on the other hand, he also couldn't ignore a pang of comfort that he found in Toya’s care. It humiliated him to know that someone finally cared about him instead of throwing him around.
or: akito's a mental patient who's concerningly besotted with his psychologist, and his feelings grow to a perturbing extent even as they remain unrequited.
