“Wait,” Changbin says, taking a moment to process what Chan just said. When it continues to talk, it’s in its mother tongue, “You speak Korean?”
“Yes,” Chan replies in Korean, giggling.

“You’re coming with us, right, Innie?” He asks then, and though he wants to say No, I’m too tired, the hopeful glint in Chan’s voice already made the decision for him. “Please?”
He can’t deny Chan anything, never has, never will.
Even though he’s not thrilled to stand by the bar and watch strangers ogle Chan all night, he knows he will, simply because his friend wants him there.
“Alright.” He says like it pains him.
Chan leans over and slaps his shoulder encouragingly.
Three times. That’s a bro move, everyone knows that. Once is aggressive, two is awkward, three is yeahhhh buddy let’s party.
Because that’s all they are. Buddies. Friends. No matter how much Jeongin’s pathetic heart wishes it wasn’t so.
