Tommy looked over at Evan Buckley and admitted something that changed Buck’s entire worldview:
“Look, Evan, I want us to always be honest with each other. Which is why I feel like I should tell you that when we all first started hanging out, it was actually Eddie that I was into, not you.”
Buck blinked. Processed the information. Then grinned.
“Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Eddie’s a hot guy. I’m always surprised when people aren’t attracted to him, you know what I mean?”

There it was again, getting called one of Tommy’s boys. There was something about it that made Buck shift in his seat. He looked over at Eddie, who showed no reaction.

Summary
Buck hated hospitals. It made him think of his first date with Abby, of the truck bombing, of the embolism, of the tsunami. Just, a lot of bad memories, is all.
Which is why he had wanted to tell everyone so quickly. Just so he didn’t have to go to this appointment on his own. Last week he had gone alone, thinking it would be just another check up and then his doctor had looked at him with pity in his eyes and told him they’d found abnormalities in his blood work and they needed him to stop taking his blood thinners and come back in a week.
His doctor had been simultaneously vague and clear when he told him what they would be looking for. Listing all the possible reasons that his blood cell counts were off. But on that list was cancer and Buck knew that with his fucking luck, it would be that. The look on his doctor’s face made him think that he thought so too.

Buck had meant to tell everyone, he had, really. But they were angry with him and he didn't want them to forgive him just because he might be dying. He needed to fix things first.

Summary
Christopher was gone, missing.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault, but as Eddie watched the man he loved break right in front of him, he knew Buck blamed himself, that the guilt was already eating him alive.
Eddie had the urge to be in two places at once, wanting to comfort Buck, but needing to find his son. Chris was his whole world; Buck had stepped right into it.
They didn’t find Chris that night, or the next. He was gone, swept away with the storm. Some things floated back to shore, while others, well—they were lost forever.

He knew that this family he found for himself would eventually start pushing him out when they remembered all these things about him. Once the negatives he felt about himself started to outweigh the positives. He gave up being the one trying to show himself if he had a place in their lives. That's how he ended up here alone in his empty quiet loft hoping to not be noticed anymore.

Once they finally arrived in the early afternoon and everything was assembled in their new spaces Buck looked around and finally felt like this was finally home, he may not stay here forever since it was only a rental but he was glad he was home.

Set after Eddie is shot, Season 4, episode 14, but we are pretending that Eddie and Ana never dated. When Eddie’s gunshot wound puts him into a coma, Buck discovers that he is the one appointed to raise Christopher. It doesn’t go over well when Eddie’s parents arrive and start to demand to take Christopher back to Texas with them. Buck isn’t going to lay down and take their crap. Eddie didn’t want Christopher with them and Buck was going to make sure they never got any time with Christopher. But as the days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months, Buck is struggling to pay not only his bills, but also Eddie’s at the house. Buck never expected to be a single parent, but he wasn’t going to let Eddie down. He loved the man too much to fail either him or his son. But when Eddie wakes up, how will he feel about all of the changes? And will his own growing feelings for Buck still be there? One second Eddie was standing on the street and the next he was waking up in a hospital bed with a war going on all around him. Unlike before though, he isn’t alone and him and Buck were not going to let his parents win, no matter what.

Summary
What if Chimney didn't just punch Buck? What if he was so blinded by his own rage and desperate need to find Maddie that he injures Buck far deeper than a single punch? When Eddie finds his best friend unconscious and barely breathing on his own kitchen floor, it starts a tidal wave that no one saw coming. With Buck fighting for his life, the 118 is divided on if Chimney actually did this to Buck or if Buck was just lying to get back at Chimney for taking Maddie from him. Regardless, Chmney is AWOL with a warrant out for his arrest. And he's on the run with Jee-Yun.

But when Chimney is arrested and Jee-Yun is placed in Buck's custody, can Tommy and Eddie manage to keep Buck from drowning? Or will Eddie finally lose his best friend? And will Tommy lose the man that he quickly fell in love with? And just how long will it take for Buck to realize that he was madly in love with Tommy?
