“Good thing I’m here now, then,” Sapnap mumbles back with a reassuring smile.
“Seriously,” Karl groans, strikingly sincere. “You’re different, obviously.”
Sapnap’s mind freezes for a moment, processing, not entirely certain what he means by ‘different’. There’s relief in the assertion that their friendship is something special to Karl too, so he decides not to question it, though it nags at the back of his mind for the rest of the night.
