“I—“ Dazai swallows thickly, eyes darting to meet his lover’s own, “I know I messed up, but I really didn’t mean for… that to occur. It— Some things just happened and I didn’t know how to fix it.”
“What things?”
The bandaged man simply hums, making the mafioso grit his teeth while his unreasonable emotions fly through his mind, far too fast for him to wrestle them down back into a state of calmness. It’ll be no help to his lover if he lets his temperament get to him, so he takes a few breaths before continuing.
“Explain what all went wrong,” His tone is carefully crafted to be as neutral as possible, only a small tinge of frustration tainting his words, “Exactly why my men were killed.”
Or; Dazai had messed up on a mission, leading him and Chuuya to fight which ends with Dazai having a mental breakdown. This is the morning after where they talk though their emotions.

For a moment, they stay there, staring at each other, fear slowly growing in the younger’s eyes, pushing the ginger to try and rectify his actions, “Dazai—”
“I’m sorry,” Comes a small, shaky voice.
Chuuya finds himself unable to speak — his words lodged in his throat — and instead listens to the thud of the brunet’s knees hitting the ground. He feels the way trembling hands clutch at his pant leg, pulling him towards the other.
“I’m sorry!” Dazai cries, fingernails digging into the ginger’s thigh.
Or; Chuuya says something hurtful, and Dazai breaks down because of it.

Dazai makes a call to the person he wants to be his last memory.
So Dazai was actually supposed to die in this but for some reason i decided to let him live. (I know I’ve lost it when do I ever do this? Help I’ve gone soft)
Also it’s been raining non stop it’s so depressing and honestly that’s what inspired this fic. That and I’m crazy stressed and living off off like 2 hours max of sleep per day. Hehe I’m so silly goofy.

After a few seconds, his slug speaks up, “Sh-shut up, you stupid mackerel,” The door then promptly slams shut, closing off the outside chill from entering.
The stuttering is what catches the brunet’s attention, especially after he sees the other violently shiver. It makes an odd emotion churn in his stomach.
“Has my hat rack been staying in the cold for too long?” He says after he finishes his conclusion on what’s bothering his lover, “Could he possibly be contracting a bad case of hypothermia?”
As if there was a mental delay, Chuuya suddenly begins to object, “I don’t have h-hypothermia.”
Or; Chuuya stays in the cold for too long, Dazai is there for him in the aftermath.

Except, he doesn’t get that irritated look he always desires, instead a face washed with thinly veiled horror greets him. Dazai’s smile falters, his hands lowering the paper, “What is it, Chuuya?”
“What the fuck?” Suddenly he has a face full of ginger as the shorter rushes over to him. His arm is gently tugged forward as his lover examines the bloodied bandages. “What happened?”
Dazai squirms uncomfortably for a second, weight shifting between both feet, “Nothing you need to worry about.”
Or; During a mission, Dazai’s bandages bleed through leaving Chuuya to take care of him.

In a burst of panic, San Lang used spiritual energy to turn the body snuggled in his arms into ashes and then willed them to take a form of a diamond ring. The ashes mended themselves to his will very willingly then almost made his palm burn when he gripped them too tight. That was the last thing he did before he once again appeared in the Heavenly Capital.
He stayed, this time. Somebody had to take care of all the trash up here.

It had been five months since Hua Cheng’s third disappearance from the world, faded away in a flurry of wraith butterflies that eventually faded with no trace. Xie Lian had waited patiently the entire time, waiting for his beloved to return.
He just wanted to be embraced by the red-clad ghost again. It was hard not to fall into a dissociative spiral sprawled on his small bed in his depressing little shack on Mount Taicang, daydreaming solemnly about when Hua Cheng would return home. Xie Lian finally pulled himself out of his thin sheets and walked out into the small gusts of wind, having pulled his hair back in a disheveled, tired mess.

Dazai slumps. “Chuuya’s ignoring me,” he admits. He doesn’t say any more, because that truth alone is risky enough. If he continues speaking, he’ll end up admitting how much it hurts that Chuuya won’t talk to him, how he misses Chuuya, how he just wishes he knew what he did wrong. How he hates Chuuya so vehemently it burns his chest, but the fear that Chuuya might hate him in return splinters each of his ribs and sinks a knife deep into his heart.
Dazai cannot fall victim to a direct attack from Chuuya’s ability, but he imagines this is what it feels like to have his weight pulled downward, crumpling beneath the unseen pressure of For the Tainted Sorrow until it’s stolen all the oxygen from his lungs and finally granted him the sweet release of death he so longs for.
“Ah,” Ango says, and then he drains the rest of his drink.
