Summary
“You didn’t tell me your agent’s name was Dick,” Eddie says, halfway to a laugh.
Buck tries to force a smile onto his face, but it won’t come. “Yeah, he didn’t mention that before. Apparently, that was info he only wanted to share with you.”
“Oh, weird,” Eddie says, like it’s not worth thinking about. “Still funny, though.”
“Hilarious,” Buck says as he pulls into the street and Eddie types in the next address.
OR
The problem isn't that Buck's real estate agent is into Eddie or that Eddie seems to like it; it's a matter of professionalism.

Summary
“My best friend almost died.” Eddie says, every word feeling heavy in his mouth. “And then he confessed his love for me.”
“Is that a bad thing?”
Eddie laughs, something hysterical bubbling up in him. ”It’s—I don’t even know.”
“So, what's the problem? Oh no,” he winces, “Is he ugly?”
“I'm straight.”
That gets him a look. “Honey, you know you’re in a gay bar right?"

Summary
“What’s your face doing?”
Buck makes an affronted noise, shooting Eddie a look. “My face isn’t doing anything.”
“Yes, it is.”
“No, it’s not.”
“Yes, it is.”
“Eddie. It’s not.”
“Yes, it–”
“I’m horny,” Buck blurts. Instantly, his face flushes, body going warm with humiliation. Eddie’s eyes go comically wide.
Or: Buck's really trying to keep it in his pants. Eddie's not exactly keen on letting him do so.

Summary
Hen folds her arms over her chest. “You told Buck he’s like a father to you?”
“Well, no,” Eddie says, voice coming out casual, like this isn’t the weirdest conversation he’s ever had in his life. He rallies himself, tries to organise the words in an order that makes sense before opening his mouth. Still, what comes out is, “He’s like a brother-father-cousin figure. Three-in-one.”
Hen visibly reels back. “Okay,” she says after a moment, grabbing her tea. “Not touching that.”
Or: Eddie comes to terms with his feelings for Buck. Unconventionally.

Summary
Maybe he just needs to meet the right person. That’ll help with the giant best friend-shaped hole in his chest. He clicks the end of his pen and writes:
I’ll meet the love of my life tomorrow.
Or, Buck's journal grants wishes. It's not his fault that the only things he wants are the things he can't have.
