And from the way Xiao Zhan looked at him, Yibo knew his feelings were not wholly unrequited. They had been at this for a month now, and Yibo never failed to notice how Xiao Zhan only visited the cafe on the days Yibo worked. Or how the touch of his hand always lingered when he took the coffee from Yibo’s hand. It was written in the way Xiao Zhan talked, how he laughed just a little bit louder around him, how he would blush just a little whenever Yibo called him ‘Zhan-ge,’ and it made Yibo’s head spin, his blood spike.
But no matter how reckless the feeling made him want to be, Yibo was still scared of it.
