The whole time during that false confession and the comedy of errors of Okazaki's making, Ryou was completely calm. She'd been thrown into a daze of sorts, with no trace of the usual nervousness and dread that she would feel when dating was involved. This was probably because they were both girls, she tried to rationalize, so it wasn't serious like it would have been with a boy.
But, Ryou thought of Nagisa's pretty face, her cheeks flushed with absolute earnestness as she was trying her best to phrase her question. It made Ryou's heart flutter; made her want to protect this girl, to hold her soft hands in hers. The instinct came as naturally as anything she's ever felt.

slice of life // high school + college au // overall fluff + comedy with some angst // all vocaloids and utaus are humanmain friend groups:

pikoyuuma, olilen, ritsu x ruko, rin x gumi, mikuluka, kaimei, seeuni, othersthis au takes place over four to five years and counting! it's basically a conglomeration of my headcanons along the years, all put into one au since the characters and hc's sort of grow with me. due to there being so much backstory and history leading up to where the characters are at this current point (oliver's junior year of high school; piko's freshman year of college), it will likely be hard or impossible for me to post the full au. however, i want to capture as much of it as possible, likely through oneshots!
overall an ambiguous au, so there may be continuity errors or worldbuilding hc's that aren't fully fleshed out (like how vocaloids are basically utaites, but with some elements of being an idol tossed in).
