Summary
Sirius recognized the gait first, the way Remus unconsciously favored his right hip, which he was doing as he walked slowly uphill. His brown hair was threaded through with gray, a small symptom of the lycanthropy, and he was dressed formally in black wizarding robes, with a Beauxbatons shield on his chest, much like his old prefect badge used to sit. He looked older, of course, perhaps older than his thirty-seven years would suggest, but not by much, not at this distance. He looked a little nervous, but not uncomfortable, or anxious. He was chatting with a student who was walking next to him, a young girl, clearly one of his students. The girl was tall, though Remus, of course, was taller, and she was an animated conversationalist, her hands moving in front of her. Remus looked like he was listening intently, though it took Sirius by surprise when Remus grinned, lighting up his face, and deepening the lines around his eyes that were apparent as he came closer.
