Summary
From the age of five, Izuku was aware of how cruel the world could be.
Parents who should have nurtured and cared for him turn their backs on him. His words were dismissed as those of a child with an overactive imagination by the heroes who were supposed to protect and help no matter what.
Don't get it wrong, he does have a broad imagination, however, even at the tender age of 5, he knew the difference between reality and a figment of his mind. It is hard to believe that any child would want to imagine their mum beating them black and blue, locking them up in an abandoned flat, or not feeding them anything more than a cup of stale, old rice each day?
At the orders of his mother, Izuku had to live like a shadow, hidden in the background so that no one would notice him or his family. All Izuku wants is to save people like himself, both those in the light and those in the shadows.
Will he be able to make it into the light before he's consumed by the darkness forever?

All Might proceeded to tell Izuku of One For All, the Olympic torch of quirks.
When the hero was done, Izuku stood and all he could do was start laughing. A genuine laugh with a touch of hysteria as the number one hero looked lost.
