Chapter Text
You softly shut your bedroom door, dropping your backpack unceremoniously on the floor near your desk. Another boring, tedious day of college down, another two-thirds of the semester to go. You flopped down on your bed, closing your eyes for a second and letting yourself relax before sitting up again. You had work to do.
Unzipping your backpack, you pulled your laptop out as you sat at your desk, plugging it in so you didn’t forget halfway through your work session. The “Please plug in your device” message always drew you out of your zone. The charger was shortly followed by your drawing tablet and you plugged the little devil of a piece of technology in before tugging the pen from its little holder on the top.
You were working on a game. An otome game with your best friend. They had been the one that suggested the idea, and you both immediately started character designing once you settled on a theme. Medieval Fantasy. You had designed all the girls already because let’s face it. Girls are cute. And your friend had created three of the male characters, affectionately naming them Elk Man, Elf Boy, and Scholar Dude… Names were not their forte.
At this current point in time, you were drawing alternate outfits at this point but remembered you had both agreed to have one main line story finished by the end of the month. You placed your tablet and pen to the side, rolling up the sleeves of your hoodie and crossing your legs. You opened up a google document and paused to think about who you wanted to write for first. You had designed most of the girls, so it was pretty reasonable to assume you’d be writing most of the female routes. Out of all of them, the pink little self-proclaimed witch seemed to be the most charming to you thus far, and you decided to start there.
You quickly realized while you typed that you and your best friend hadn’t established what kind of magic system you wanted to have yet, and you quickly texted them, asking what they had in mind. You briefly left your room to fetch a snack from the kitchen before returning a few minutes later to their response.
“Ummmmmmmmmmm…..
I don’t know?????
You’re good at this stuff right you can make it up for us
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”
Great. Thanks for the help, my dude.
You let yourself fall back into the office swivel chair and pulled yourself into your desk. A quick google search later had you on a peculiar site that supposedly had “real spells that any witch can use.” Not that you didn’t believe in magic, but this was the internet. Its not the most reliable place. Your eyes scrolled down the sidebar, lading on the link that said “Demon Summoning.” The girl you were currently writing for was obsessed with being able to summon a demon, so this was a logical place to start. You clicked the link and the page loaded. You scrolled down the website, occasionally stopping when a summoning circle caught your eye and you saved a mental image to use for reference later.
You stopped your scrolling completely when you came across a rather peculiar symbol, though. Was that a bush in the center of it? Strange. These types of things usually had stars, moons, and suns drawn all over them with illegible writing in the smallest cracks. Your eyes darted to the right of the circle where the supposed summoning spell was written with the usual warning message to be careful and take the necessary precautions before using it yadda yadda. You furrowed your brows, squinting skeptically at the phrase before you muttered it to yourself quietly. Nothing happened and you snorted. Yeah, like anything would happen by just reading it. You didn’t even prepare scented candles or sacrifice someone’s blood or anythi-
BOOM
…
What?
A cloud of pinkish smoke filled your room and you covered your mouth and nose with one hand, using the other to fan the vapors away from your face. A "What the fuck?" slipped from your mouth. It was soft. With a lot of feeling.
A “Kakakakakakaka!” echoed through the room and as the smoke cleared, you saw the figure of a male standing in the middle of your room. He had a blue suit jacket that was accompanied by a black tie and grey dress pants. To be honest, he would have looked pretty average if it hadn’t been for the small red candy corn horns atop his head and the long, thin tail that swung behind him.
“Ahhh, I got a cute little thing to summon me this time!”
