Excerpt:

“Kid let me do the talking.” Tony Stark's infamous voice shouted before landing in front of Eddie, blasters drawn. “What are you doing here?”
“Saving your life?” Eddie said putting his hands up, which Venom shot back down. Eddie rolled his eyes, not wanting to get in a fight over control of their body.
“We mean the goo!” Spiderman popped up from where he previously fell.
“Well that's a long story. But I have an alien living in my body and sometimes we eat bad people.”

Chapter 1: Tell-Tale Signs

Chapter Text

Welcome to the best (or worst) fanfic I've ever written.

THIS IS NOT CANON AT ALL.

----

In all honesty, Eddie had no idea how he ended up hitching a ride on a spaceship. He was only supposed to be in New York for a couple days. His sister was getting married and demanded he come to the wedding. He also wanted to show Venom where he used to live before he moved to San Francisco with Anne. Now that he had a job and a bit of his reputation back, he was actually looking forward to this trip. He and Venom had figured out a routine over the last few months, and Eddie has never been happier. They were truly learning how to be “we".
It’s two days before his sister's wedding, and Eddie wanted to show Venom some tourist sites.

We are hungry Eddie.
We have a deal. No eating anyone in New York. It's protected by the Avengers. Eddie thought back. That's why I let you eat those extra two human traffickers before we left.
We didn't eat breakfast. It's nearly one.

Eddie thought back, and Venom was right. They hadn't had anything to eat.

“Then let's get hot dogs.” Eddie said aloud with a smile. A woman gave him a small once over, before continuing walking away. Great thing about New York, people mind their business.

Hotdog?

“Yeah. Its meat with condiments. Kind of what New York is known for.” Eddie said and played with the strings on his heather gray hoodie.

I love eating dogs. Venom thought fondly.

Eddie felt an uncomfortable heat blush his face. On hunts they would eat almost anything without tags. He always felt guilty, and just hoped they weren't someone's pet.

“No not that kind of meat.” Eddie chuckled to himself. “Mostly ground up pig parts.”

Hmmm… okay. Venom thought for a moment.

“I only have enough cash for like 4 or 5 and a tip.” Eddie said and fetched out his wallet from his denim jeans. After a couple minutes of searching, they found a hot dog vendor.

“What do you want?” The vendor said when they approached. He was a teenager, and he barely looked up from his phone to talk to Eddie

“Two chili dogs, two New York style.” Eddie said handing the kid a $20. He looked Eddie up and down for a moment before making the order.

A few minutes later, the kid had wrapped and bagged the food. Eddie thanked the kid and immediately pulled out both of the New York style first. He slipped it into pocket of his hoodie. He could feel Venom poking around before eating it whole. They spat the wrapper out

It stinks like onions. Eddie could hear the frown in his voice.

“Yea but I like them, and plus I saved the best for last.” Eddie said as he shoved his dog into his mouth. Venom slithered a tendril down Eddie's arm and into the bag. Venom ate both of them before Eddie could swat them away.

“You little shit!” Eddie shouted at them.

You were right. That one was better. Venom sounded smug.

“But you ate mine.” Eddie grouched.

Let's go get more.

“Okay fine. A different vendor though. And no eating mine this time.” Eddie warned. He hoped his tone would be enough of a threat. Venom chuckled, but Eddie knew he'd mind.

Before he could pull out his phone to search for food, someone crashed into his shoulder. A girl looked up in terror before scrambling away from him. More and more screams filled the air as a stampede of people ran towards them. Dust and wind swept into their eyes. Eddie squinted and looked up. That's when he saw it: a giant O shaped spaceship landing in the middle of the street. Anger and terror that wasn't his own shot down his spine
Thanos .Venom growled.
“Who is Thanos?” Eddie yelled over the wind from the spaceship.
Venom hesitated for a moment, before they shot him some of their old memories. Ones of when they would take over planets with Riot and other Klyntar. Venom showed him memories of the ones who survived the Mad Titan's destruction. He would send his people in these O shaped space crafts, before destroying half the life on the planet. Just for Klyntar to destroy the other half. Eddie could feel Venom's deep shame, but didn't press the symbiote. They didn't have a good life before bonding to Eddie.

He is a very bad guy. Venom stressed. If he has already sent his scouts, he will return and lead an army to destroy half of Earth.

“What why?” Eddie couldn't fathom the brutal and relentless destruction.

He calls it population control.

Eddie felt rage for all those other planets Thanos had destroyed. Who knew how many innocent lives were destroyed by this mad man. “What should we do Vee?” Eddie asked. He weaved through the crowd towards the floating craft.

We should kill him before he can return. He's after the infinity stones. One of them opened the portal on the attack on New York. Venom explained.

Eddie was in New York the day Loki led an attack against Earth. He barely survived when the Daily Bugle was struck by a flying Chitauri whale. Many of his friends there did not make it. For awhile he did old fashioned reporting until they rebuilt. Not much later he wrongfully accused a man of murder. He spent months recovering from that. The Carlton Drake incident was supposed to be the nail in his coffin. Until it gave him the story of a lifetime.

“But that means we have to…” Eddie jestered up.

Close your eyes Eddie.

Eddie sighed and closed his eyes. Venom stretched over him and he barely felt him jump. He did, however, feel when they hit the ship. Startled Eddie opened his eyes. Their vision was far superior in this form. Just one of many perks Venom offered. They felt around the edge looking for a weak spot. Venom saw a lose panel, and ripped it open. They slid in between the cold panel, and shimmied into the vents. They found a grate that put them into the main control room.

Creepy . Eddie shivered. Everything seemed so futuristic, but had no life. The navigation system was the coolest looking part of the ship. Eddie brought out his phone and snapped a few photos. He was only able to get a few shots before the ship began to pull up. Eddie sighed, how much higher could he get now that they were in outer space. "No turning back now.”
We will be heroes Eddie. And you can use this for an article right? Venom purred in the back of his mind. Venom sank back into Eddie to be more inconspicuous.
They heard a noise, and they ducked behind some freight boxes. A man floated into the room, surrounded by floating knives.

An ugly gray alien, floated next to him. He spoke in hushed tones, to give an extra level of creepy.
“That's Doctor Stephen Strange.” Eddie gasped in a hushed tone. “I did an article on him when he wrecked and ruined his hands. He disappeared after that.”
I can feel his energy. He's a master of the mystic arts . Venom said.

Huh. Well wouldn't you know. Eddie thought back. He was amazed that Strange was still alive. He went completely off grid last year. No one heard from him in over a year.

The gray wizard set a destination on the navigation system. The ship began to move on autopilot. He turned back to Strange

“Give me the stone, or you'll only wish you were dead.” The alien threatened. It slowly caressed Dr. Strange's face, and it took one of the knives and put it up against his eye.

“Mask.” In a fluid motion Venom covered Eddie’s body.

“Copy.” Venom roared to draw attention away from Dr. Strange.
“A Klyntar? How?” The gray alien asked, confused by his sudden appearance. Venom was quick and bit his head clean off, before he could fight back. The knives and Doctor Strange came crashing to the floor. Venom retracted back into Eddie's body, content on a full meal.

“Oh my God! Mr. Stark what was that? ” A young voice yelled out from somewhere high. There was a crash somewhere behind a pillar.
But I have an alien living in my body and sometimes we eat bad people.” Eddie offered.

“Wait, you eat people?” Spiderman gasped and threw his hands to his face. Tony took a step back. He powered up his blaster, this time he was actually going to shoot them. Strange kept his distance after seeing first hand how sharp their teeth are.

“Well I mean, you just saw us do it…  we have to, if we don't, they will have to start eating my organs.” Eddie put his hands up again, and this time Venom didn't argue.
“So you have a parasite.” Spiderman deduced.
NOT A PARASITE!  Venom took over Eddie's body to yell. He flashed his teeth through Eddie's mouth. Which was more horrifying than when it was just Venom. Spider-man jumped back and hid behind Tony.

“Hey, Love, he doesn't know that he's an idiot.” Eddie regained control and a soft look was on his face. Tony and Spider-man looked at each other. Tony seemed grossed out, but under his mask Peter was smiling. “They are a symbiote.” Eddie explained.
“Sorry Mr…” Spider-man stuck out a hand to shake but stumbled realizing he never asked for their name.
“Eddie Brock. Eddie is fine.” Eddie shook his hand, realizing how small Spider-man actually is.

We are Venom.” Eddie’s and Venom’s voice mixed together in a creepy tone. This time Spiderman was prepared and only flinched a little.

“Like the reporter?” Dr. Strange floated next to Eddie.
“The one the only.” Eddie said with a shaky smile.

“I actually really liked the piece you did on me. You only reported the truth, and didn't get your emotions involved. You have a level head.” Strange complimented.

“Oh. Thanks.” Eddie blushed. He never really knew how to respond to compliments.

“Oh yeah the Brock Report. Didn’t you have to move after the Sin-eater incident?” Spidey said and Eddie blushed even harder.
“Yea. My informant was using me and gave me the wrong person. But we really don’t need to go over my embarrassing highlight reel.” Eddie waved it off. He had spent too long trying to explain what went wrong that day. It wasn't worth the hassle.

“Why are you here?” Dr. Strange asked, because well… everyone was thinking it. Venom formed a small head on Eddie's shoulder. The group was shocked by the new addition.
Thanos needs to be stopped. I have seen planets touched by Thanos. His army goes across the universe, and won't until half of every planet is killed off.
“How can we even trust you?” Stark waves his hand at Eddie. “I mean we know nothing about your… alien's kind. How do we know it doesn't work for Thanos?”

Venom covered his teeth in an imitation of a frown. Eddie could tell Venom was trying to hide their emotions. But their anger was boiling Eddie.

“Obviously not.” Eddie sneered at the billionaire. Stark rolled his eyes.

“We just saw you eat someone. Safe to assume you have been killing people on Earth too.” Stark said. Eddie cringed at that, but continued on smoothly.

“Only really bad people, and unchecked billionaires.” Eddie smirked, he actually wished they had eaten Carlton Drake instead of frying him.

“Is that a threat?” Stark got in closer. But kept enough distance to defend himself.

“I don't know, are you going to fight me, or are you going to use another kid?” Eddie growled, and Stark lit up his blasters.

“I will take you on right here and now.” Tony challenged. Eddie was half tempted to take the first swing, but then sighed. Eddie knew he would have to be the better person. He put his hands halfway up in surrender.

Eddie. Venom churned. Why are we giving up? Can we eat him?

No. He's a good guy. Just is getting on my nerves. Eddie thought back to his symbiote.

We could take him. Venom tried again.

If we did, they would separate us. Eddie shivered and remembered how painful separation was when Anne used the MRI machine against them.

Never again. Venom purred. Eddie could feel himself blushing.

Stark must have said something, because he shouted at them.“Oh my God you're talking to each other right now, aren't you?”

Eddie blushed even harder from being called out. He probably looked like a tomato. Venom didn't help him conceal the embarrassment. In fact, he seemed smug that they had that ability on their host.

“More like flirting.” Strange mocked.

“Oh shut up.” Eddie rolled his eyes, but didn't deny it. Spidey looked excitedly back and forth between the alien and their host.

Eddie, let's eat the rich. Venom chuckled deeply, and coiled around his host's neck.

Eddie and Spiderman burst out laughing. Stark glared at the young hero. But the kid couldn't stop for a moment, and after he caught his breath he tried to defend himself.

“What? I'm Gen Z, that's funny.” Spiderman gave a small shoulder shrug and a chuckle.

Eddie, I want one . Venom purred in the back of his mind.

“Not yet.” Eddie immediately said back. He was shocked with the slip, he had never thought about kids with Venom before. He didn't think it was possible. Maybe...

“You’re not going to eat me yet?” Stark interrupted with a raised skeptical eyebrow. Eddie was confused for a second and remembered they couldn't hear Venom and their thoughts.

“Oh no, sorry we were talking about something else.” Eddie tried to waved off, but Strange's interest was peaked.

“Don't you get tired of another voice always inside your head?” Strange asked. “Does it control you?”

“No, control isn't what symbiosis is; it's two minds, one body, and our combined wills. I'm so used to them there, I would be devastated if they were gone.” Eddie explains.

“Ok you two, keep it in your pants.” Tony waved at them. Eddie rolled his eyes. “You two, we need to talk.” He gestures at the heroes, who step aside to talk.

Why are we here again? Eddie thought to his other.

Venom hesitated for a moment before answering. I want Thanos dead. He has taken so much. Also Thanos's army might have already destroyed most of Earth. We wouldn't win.

Eddie was taken aback. But Anne and Dan. Eddie couldn't find the words, but sent his feelings to his partner. Venom was for them too.

I don't know Eddie. Venom thought back sadly. We will be okay Eddie. We kill Thanos, and go home and save Earth, again.

Yeah we'll be okay. Eddie thought back. He pet his symbiotes head until the Avengers broke apart having reached a decision.

“Ok so the kid talked us into letting you help us. But when we get to Earth we are going to have to figure out a solution to the head eating problem.” Tony said as they approached the couple. “This ship has been self correcting, so it's on autopilot. We decided to get the jump on Thanos on his turf and keep the war away from Earth.”

“Okay.” Eddie agreed easily.

Thanos has shit you've never seen before. Venom warns the group.
“Our priority is to not let Thanos get the time stone. That is why if we are in a situation where we are going to lose, I must escape with it.” Strange said holding out his amulet for Eddie to see.
“Can someone explain the stone thing to me,” Eddie asked, and everyone stared at him. “What? I have never heard of this stuff before today.” Eddie blushed.

Here Eddie. Venom purred. They loved showing Eddie things, on Earth they were always asking questions. They poured over his eyes, letting Eddie see their memories. They showed him the stones starting with the tesseract.

Loki used this stone on New York. It's the space stone.

They flashed over the soul, power, reality, and finally the time stone in Strange's possession.
“Woah.” Spiderman whispered.
“Almost 2,000 years of alien knowledge does come in handy.” Eddie grinned after regaining his eyes. “I feel like a space geologist.”
“Weird… kid you’re an Avenger now.” Tony patted Spiderman's shoulder and the kid nearly jumped with joy. Tony went of with Strange to formulate a plan of attack.

“So kid, want to give your first interview as a new Avenger?” Eddie smiled at him and that was all that was needed to get him going.

“Oh gee I don't know.” Peter hesitated at the offer.

“We'll make it fair kid, we can alternate asking questions. We know you have them.” Eddie gave a soft smile. “You can tell us to take anything you want off the record, no questions asked. We are great at keeping secrets.”

Peter pondered for a moment. “Ok, this is my first interview, but I want to start. How did you two... happen?”

“Well the infamous Life Foundation wreck brought back some alien life. There were four: Venom, Riot, and two others. Their plan was to take over Earth and feast on humans. However after the wreck they were too weak to escape from the cleanup crew. They were experimented on for a few months, and after Carlton Drake ruined my career I decided to sneak into his lab and ended up breaking free Venom here.” Eddie tried to explain quickly. “So you sound very young. How does a kid go from an average life to swinging from building to building?”

“I'm still pursuing an education so It's really hard man. One day I'm bitten by this spider, the next I can climb on walls. My uncle used to have this saying ‘with great power, comes great responsibility’.” Peter imitated his uncle Ben, but couldn't hide the sadness in his voice. Nevertheless he continued “Anyone could be Spiderman. It's what you do with that power is what counts.” Peter finished. Eddie couldn't help but feel bad for the young hero. He must be constantly tired. “Venom, what was your homeworld like?”

Venom stirred at hearing their name. The Klyntar are a hivemind. The strongest among us would make the decisions and the weak would follow. I was kind of a loser there, like Eddie.  We match. Spiderling will you be part of our hive?

Eddie fucking choked and Spiderman stared at him before laughing straight in their faces.

“Vee, who is in our hive now?” Eddie asked after regaining the ability to talk.

Anne and Dan. Venom looked at Eddie smugly, as if that was the only possible answer. They locked eyes for a moment, obviously communicating to each other. Peter began to feel like a third wheel for a moment.

“He's asking if you'd like to be our friend,” Eddie clarified for him.

“Yes.” Peter grinned at both of them. In a teasing voice he added, “Does that count as a question?”

“Does that count as yours?” Eddie quipped back at him.

“Well that definitely counts as yours.” Eddie shrugged a response, but it felt fair. Peter paused a moment to think up a question. “What happened to Riot?”

“Oh well.” Eddie blushed and looked away. “They were going to bring back an army, so we blew up the rocket they were on.”

“Wait the one that killed Carlton Drake? He was going to bring back an army?” Peter asked.

“Yea, he was a really bad dude before too.” Eddie remembered the interview with Drake, and how his career was destroyed that day.

“That's crazy.” Peter was shocked to say the least.

“You're telling us. We had to fight him!” Eddie said with a laugh, and then asked in a serious tone. “Does Stark make you go out and fight crime?”

“Are you kidding? He hates when I try to help. He wants me to help stop bike thieves all day long. I can literally pick up a car!” Peter exclaimed in faux frustration. “Can Venom see everything you've ever seen before?”

Yes when I first bonded with Eddie I went through all of his memories. I try not to go through them too much. Eddie deserves privacy. Venom's form relaxed into a soft pile of goo on Eddie's neck. Peter would have never thought that the scary monster from before would be this soft looking.

“I was not happy about that when I found out. Made me feel like I was being put under a microscope.” Eddie frowned at the old memories. “We have come a long way. What is one thing you want the people of New York to know?”

Peter hummed in thought. “Please don't poop on the subway.” Eddie made a stink face, but didn't add anything to it.

“Why were you considered a loser Vee?”

It's a long story. Are you sure you want to hear it?. Venom asked. Peter nodded excitedly. That was Venom's favorite thing about humans, their curiosity was unbelievably vast.

Symbiotes were agents of the cosmos, helping warriors complete their quests. Now they just live peacefully on Klyntar. My first host used my innocence to destroy a world, so I became corrupted. I was put on trial for what we did. I was exiled and had to join a hive of corrupted symbiotes. They believe that all hosts should be food and vessels to be discarded after use. We would go planet to planet feasting on the inhabitants. But that's not what I wanted. I wanted a partner, something no symbiote was supposed to want. So I was still a loser amongst the losers. No other host had ever wanted me in the same way as Eddie; I am truly grateful.

Eddie's eyes watered for a minute and he had to look away from the teen. He remembered the day Venom told him about his trial. They were quiet all day, and Eddie knew something was wrong. After they stopped at Mrs. Chen's shop for some groceries Venom confided in him. They were petrified of Eddie's reaction. Venom feared that Eddie would ask them to leave. But to the contrary, Eddie cried for them. He was mad that Venom was even on trial to begin with. They spent the whole night crying and eating chocolate ice cream.

Spiderling are you aware you might die on this mission? Venom asked, and Peter jumped. He was always aware that every time he puts on the suit he might die. However if he didn't, countless more would. But out in space, maybe no one would ever know what would happen to him.

“Yes. I'm overly aware,” Peter stated sadly, making the air thick with tension. He could see that Eddie was scolding Venom through their telepathic link. “Who are Anne and Dan?”

“My ex-fiance who is also my lawyer, and Dan, her doctor boyfriend. We had a pretty bad breakup but Venom was able to help me regain her friendship.” Eddie smiled at the change in topic. “Ok do the webs come out of your wrist or out of a machine?”

“I have a machine attached to my wrist. But don't put that on record, kind of a weak spot.” Peter showed him the web shooters attached to his wrist. “I came up with the web fluid compound and made a prototype web shooter. The one Mr. Stark made for me is so much better.”

Told you. Venom chuckled.

“Whatever. It seemed like a possibility.” Eddie crossed his arms.

“So why did that one

“I can't think of anything else to ask you.” Peter paused before taking off his mask. “Since we are going to be here for the next few hours, I'm Peter.”

“Nice to meet you Peter.” Eddie grinned and shook the kid’s hand. “After we beat Thanos, want to do another one of these? I'm going for a Pulitzer.”

“You bet. I'm going to go catch up with Mr. Stark.” He ran off with a wave and a toothy grin.

For a split second, Eddie thought about having kids.

Let's go document this. I'm glad you made me get the battery pack. Eddie thought to Venom.

You'd be dead without me. Venom purred back. And for some reason, it was more endearing than it should be. Eddie couldn't help but giggle at the symbiote.

We are going to win a Pulitzer Eddie. We are going to be rich, and we can buy many cows to eat.

Eddie laughed again, and pulled out his phone. We have to earn it first.

Eddie recorded the metal walls and the cold metallic architecture before flipping his camera over. Venom held out his phone like a selfie stick, making sure to angle it for the best view. Eddie looked somber as he walked the metallic halls.

“This is Eddie Brock, and I am here with three of Earth's mightiest heroes in an attempt to save the universe. We do not know if anyone will get this. We are deep in outer space, traveling back using their ship. Iron man and Spiderman are here with me as we have learned of an extraterrestrial being who is planning to destroy the universe. Godspeed.” He stopped recording for a moment to take a few more photos.

He was starting to get worried. Eddie had never been so far away from home before. He was also terrified of what was going down on Earth.

Venom swirled around in Eddie’s chest cavity. He was anxious because Eddie was anxious. And Eddie was more anxious because Venom was anxious about him being anxious. It was a feedback loop of anxiety.
Eddie, why are you scared? Venom came out to swirl around on his hand.
“I'm not scared.” Eddie sighed, but was glad Venom was letting him hold them. Venom knew he was lying and waited for him to continue. “Okay, fine. What kind of monster goes planet to planet slaughtering half the population?”
Eddie. Venom said softly. He could feel Venom shift in discomfort, nervous about what Eddie would say. Venom's self doubt and shame towards themselves hit Eddie like a wave.
“You’re not a monster!” Eddie shouted quickly maybe a little too loud, but continued in a quieter voice. “I will never think you are a monster.”
Venom shook in delight and Eddie brought his hand to give them a little kiss.
Perfect host. Mine forever.
“Forever.” Eddie repeated and a feedback loop of love began.

Tony and Strange watched as the symbiote and Brock flirted with each other. They were documenting the ship with their phone, but having a private conversation while working. Eddie would burst out in giggles every once in awhile. If one didn't know better, they'd assume he was crazy.

“What do you think about them?” Strange asked Tony.
“The thing is kind of scary looking, with all their teeth.” Tony replied and tried not to stare at the couple.
Peter snuck up behind Tony, accidentally spooking him when he said, “I think it's kind of romantic.”
“Jesus kid. ” Tony jumped clenching his chest. “You could have given me a heart attack.”
“Sorry Mr. Stark.” Peter smiled at his mentor, clearly not sorry. “It is kind of cute though. Venom can hear Eddie’s every thought and they still love each other.”

Tony couldn't help but smile at that. There is too much bad stuff in the world to frown at a little thing like love.

“I don't know if I trust them yet. That thing is the ugliest thing I've ever seen.” Strange made no effort to hide the fact that he was staring at the duo.

“It's the teeth, right?” Tony joked lightly.

“Definitely the teeth.” Strange laughed back.

“What did you and Brock and Co talk about?” Tony asked Peter.

“Lots of stuff. They are actually really fun to talk to.” Peter cheerfully said. “For being an alien, Venom is really down to Earth.”

“Did he talk about himself, or is it itself, or themselves?” Tony asked, curious to know more about the surprise additions on their intergalactic road trip.

“I didn't really ask, but I'd assume they. Or maybe he, because Eddie is Male, and it is an extension of him? I don't know if Venom even identifies with Earth's genders.” Peter rambled before deciding on they or him pronouns.

“Ok that's great, but what is it?” Tony pressed.

“Venom was exiled, and forced to join corrupted symbiotes. They'd go planet to planet eating them.” Peter shared, and Tony scoffed.

“Not a parasite my ass.” Tony glared over at the two, who were still walking around and talking.

“I believe they have a more mutualistic relationship.” Peter cheerfully added. “Venom mentioned that they were a loser with the corrupted symbiotes. They wanted a partner instead of a meat vessel.”

“Kid you have a soft spot for him, it is bad news.” Stark

“You're profiling them Mr. Stark. It's Xenophobic.” Peter stood his ground. “They don't want to eat people, I'm sure if they had another solution they would take it. They'd be a great ally.” He held eye contact with his mentor, until Stark ran a hand through his hair.

“Fine. When we get back on Earth I will look into finding a cure to their head eating problem.” Tony gave in. The kid had good instincts, so he would just have to go with it.

“You'll see Mr. Stark. They are pretty cool.” Peter boasted.

“UM guys!” Eddie shouted pulling them out of their conversation. “Does this thing self park because we are getting pretty close to that planet and we aren’t slowing down.”
They all raced to the control panel.

“It was designed for that huge guy to fly.” Stark said, and everyone looked at Eddie.

“I don't even have a driver's license.” Eddie grumbled, but let Venom cover him. They grabbed the controls, and tried to get a feel for the ship. Neither Venom nor Eddie had ever flown an aircraft before, and it showed. They hit the planet with the bottom of the ship. Strange cast a protection spell over the cockpit, and they bounced when they hit the ground.
“Everyone okay?” Tony shouted. He got a mix of groans in response.
No one expected their ambush to be ambushed.

The cockpit was lit up with a flash grenade, completely blinding Eddie and causing his head to ring. Venom instinctively covered his host, determined to eat the intruders’ heads off. Three assailants burst into the room.

“THANOS!” The big guy charged straight at Strange, who sent his cloak into his face. One of them propelled above the group, throwing a  grenade straight at Stark. He batted it across the cockpit, and flew after him with blasts of his own. The blast knocked Peter off his feet, and the female intruder towered over the fallen teen.

“PLEASE DON'T LAY YOUR EGGS IN ME!” Peter screamed, backing away from an alien girl with glowing antenna on her head. He began rapidly firing his web shooters at her. She was able to dodge the first two, but he was able to web her feet down. He fired more shots at her tying her up.

“I'm not going to lay eggs in you!” The girl screamed back, fear in her voice.

Don't eat her. Eddie psychically warns, and he can feel Venom's equivalent of rolling his eyes. But even Venom can see that she has never done anything wrong in her life.

“That's exactly what you would say if you were about to lay eggs in someone!” Peter shouted back, and stood on his new metal limbs.

“We just want our friend back!” She shouted at him.

“Who's your friend?” Peter asked. Before he could get an answer, he was shot in the back with an electric blast. He screamed before he collapsed on the floor.

Venom roared, looking for the source of the attack. A man in a mask with glowing red eyes was bombarding Stark with an array of firearms. Stark was struck with a magnetic blast making him cling to a wall. He frantically tried to free himself as the masked man recharged his electric blaster. Venom jumped up slamming into the man. Strange took the opportunity to float up to aid Tony.

“What the hell? Not another one of you assholes.” The masked man shouted at them. Venom opened his mouth wide ready to chomp down, but was met with fire from the intruder's propulsion system. Venom screeched, retreating into Eddie as they fell back onto the ground with a painful crack. Eddie gasped as all the air was knocked out of their lungs.

The masked man took the opportunity to drag Peter up and put him in a choke hold. Peter was dazed and confused, but felt the familiar press of a gun to his head. Stark and Strange aimed their attacks on the big guy Strange knocked down earlier. Eddie was caught in the middle of a standoff.

“Alright everybody chill out.” The masked guy took off his mask to reveal a human face. He drew his gun away from Peter and pointed it at Stark. “I'm going to ask you this one time. Where is Gamora?”

“I'll do you one better, who is Gamora?” Stark shouted back.

“I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?” The big guy pinned down by Stark and Strange's cloak shouted.

“Tell me where she is, or I'll blast this little freak.” He pulled his gun back onto Peter's head.

“Let's do it.” Stark yelled back transforming his blaster into a large cannon. “You blast my guy I'll blast yours.”

“Do it Quill, I can take it.” The guy grinned into the cannon like a crazy man.

“No you can not!” The girl shouted.

“Alright you don't want to tell me where she is? Fine I'll kill all four of you and beat it out of Thanos myself!” Quill pressed deeper into Peter's face.

“Ok let me ask you this one time. Which master do you serve?” Strange asked.

“What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say, Jesus?” Quill scoffed.

“You're from Earth.” Eddie stated.

“I'm not from Earth. I'm from Missouri.”

“That's on Earth. Why are you messing with us for?” Tony angrily asked.

“So you're not with Thanos?” Peter asked Quill, gently pulling out of his choke hold.

“With Thanos? He stole my girl. Wait who are you guys?” Quill lowered his gun. Peter slipped out and faced his captor.

“We are the Avengers man. Thanos attacked Earth.” Peter explained lowering his mask.

“You're the ones Thor told us about.” The girl grinned happily.

“You guys know Thor?” Tony got excited hearing his old friends name.

“Tall, blonde, not that good looking. He needed saving.” Quill listed.

“Where is he?” Tony asked.

“He needs a new weapon so he left with Groot and Rocket to go forge a new one.” Quill explained. “But what I don't understand is, where are the other Klyntar?” Quill asked glaring at Eddie.

There are no other Klyntar, here or on Earth.” Eddie and Venom explain.

“I can't buy that. Hive minds always stick together.” Quill tightened his grip on his gun.

Venom's head formed on Eddie's shoulder.

We don't care about my species. We only care about Eddie.

“Bullshit. Buddy, listen to me, you want that parasite out of you. Only corrupted Klyntar leave the hive now, everyone knows that. It will eat you from the inside out.” Quill never lowered his weapon as he glared directly into Eddie's eyes.

“Quill stop it!” The girl shouted angrily at him.

“Listen Mantis. You haven't actually been out in space very long. The Klyntar are disgusting parasites that destroy worlds. You don't want that thing near you.” Quill spit out at them.

Venom was furious, he wanted to rip Quill's head off his body. He was seriously contemplating it until Eddie spoke.

“I beg your pardon?” Eddie patted Venom on his shoulder. Hesitantly Venom retreated back into Eddie. Eddie got closer to Quill, and his gun slightly quivered. “Quill, is it okay if I call you Quill?” Eddie asked as he slowly walked toward Quill.

“I prefer Starlord.” Quill glared, unsure what Eddie was doing.

Quill,” Eddie stressed, walking calmly up to the other man. “have you ever heard the expression, talk shit, get hit?” without hesitation Eddie fucking decked Quill right in the jaw. Everyone gasped as he knocked Quill down, gun tumbling out of his hand.

“What the hell man!” Quill yelled at him and cupped his face.

“You will not lump us together with the other Klyntar. We are Venom and we are here to fight Thanos. Are you with us or against us?” Eddie asked holding out his hand to Quill. Quill reluctantly took it and got up.

“Enemy of my enemy.” Quill said and put his gun away. He glared at them. Eddie nodded, silently challenging him. Quill caved, and introduced his team.

“We are the Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm Peter Quill. That's Drax,” He pointed at Stark's captive, then nodded to the tied up woman. “and that's Mantis.”

“Tony Stark, Spiderman, Doctor Strange, and Venom or Eddie.” Tony stepped off Drax, and pointed as he listed off the group.

Peter came up to Eddie, a little shaken from being held hostage. “Man, people don't like the Klyntar huh?” Peter asked.

“No, they don't. But we are working on being better.” Eddie answered for Venom. Venom has retreated into their own thoughts, still angry from being mistreated. They watched as Tony cut away at Peter's webs, freeing Mantis.

“Thank you Tony Stark.” Mantis grinned as she came up to Venom and Peter.

Her antenna glowed in excitement as she approached. Without permission she rest her hand against Eddie's arm. Venom growled at her intrusion, but felt themself losing against her powers. Their natural instinct to submit into a psychic bond was overwhelming, but Eddie was furious. He was able to wrestle away from her bond and rip his arm away from her. He was going to start yelling at her about consent when he saw the tears in her eyes.

“I never thought I'd meet a bonded pair of soulmates!” She jumped excitedly.

Soulmates? Venom regained independence, and was fascinated with new term.

“Yes! I could sense it the second I walked in the room. I had to know if it was actually true though.” Mantis clapped cheerfully. Eddie felt his face burn in embarrassment.

“Well thanks, but don't do that kind of thing without consent okay.” Eddie let it go this time.

“I am very sorry. I am still learning about personal space. Quill is a good guy once you know him. He just doesn't understand your relationship.” Mantis sincerely apologized.

Eddie shrugged. He didn't like when other people would apologize for their friends. He didn't doubt Quill was a good guy, but he should be the one to apologize.

What are soulmates Eddie? Venom asked.

Perfect matches but deeper. Eddie could feel Venom purring in delight from this news.

Told you Eddie.

“Yes you did love.” Eddie whispered to themselves.

“That's sooooo cute.” Peter cooed at the soulmates. Eddie rolled his eyes at Peter.

“Whatever, we need a plan.” Eddie said and headed toward the rest of the group who went outside.

------ meanwhile with Gamora and more bad writing----

Gamora sat on the step of Thanos’ throne. She hated this room. It was a painful reminder of what she and Nebula had to go through. She has countless scars littering her body from all the fights she was forced into. She could hear Thanos’ distinct heavy footsteps come closer. She stood from her step when he walked in. She glared daggers at him as he approached her with a bowl.

“I thought you might be hungry.” Thanos said as he handed her the bowl.

How ridiculous. Does he think I'm stupid. Gamora thought to herself as she stared at the titan. She threw the bowl against the throne, shattering it on the seat.

“I've always hated that chair.” Her anger present in her voice.

“So I've been told.” Thanos sighed as he took a seat on the steps. “Even so, I hoped you'd sit in it one day.”

“I hated this room, this ship. I hated my life.” Gamora listed.

“You've told me that too.” He reminded her. “Everyday for almost twenty years.”

“You took me as a child.” Gamora spat back.

“I saved you. Your planet was on the brink of collapse. Too many mouths, not enough resources.” Thanos said calmly.

“We were happy. I was happy.” She cried clutching her chest.

“Your people were going to bed hungry, and scrounging for scraps. I saved them. Children born have known nothing but full bellies and clear skies. It's a paradise.”

“Because you murdered half the planet.” Gamora whispered.

“A small price to pay for salvation. It's simple calculus. The universe is finite, it's resources are finite. If left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correction.”

“You don't know that!” Gamora shouted. She remembers the pain of losing her family when he , when Thanos stole her from her home.

“I'm the only one who knows that. At least, I'm the only one with the will to act on it.” Thanos said as he rose from the step. “For a time, you had the same will. As you fought by my side, daughter. You corrupt everything you touch.”

He approached Gamora, and gently brushed the hair from her face. She glared daggers at him as she swatted his hand away.

“I am not your daughter.” She said with conviction. “Everything I hate about myself you taught me.”

“You became the fiercest woman in the galaxy. I wish I could say the same of your sister.” Thanos said walking towards the corridor.

“What have you done with her.” Gamora could hear the panic in her own voice as she followed him.

“Some time ago, your sister snuck aboard this ship trying to kill me. She almost succeeded. So I brought her here.” Thanos said as he raised the gate.

“Nebula.” Gamora gasped in horror as she rushed to her sister. Nebula's entire body was stretched out, disassembled floating in a torture device. She was shaking and gasping in pain, but trying not to move.

“Don't do this.” Gamora begged.
“Your sister is weak. That is why I put you in charge of finding the soul stone.” Thanos used the stones to stretch Nebula more. She screamed in agony, and Gamora put a soft hand on her.

“I'm sorry to disappoint you.” Gamora glared and tried to hide her emotions.

“I am disappointed. But not because you didn't find it, but because you did, and you lied.” And he continued to pull Nebula apart.

“I swear on my life I never found the soul stone!” Gamora pleaded.

“I never taught you how to lie. That explains why you're so bad at it.” Thanos sighed and stopped torturing Nebula. He pressed a button on Nebula's head, and a projection of Gamora popped up.

“Accessing memory files.”

“Thanos is finally ready, and he's going for the stones. All of them.” Nebula said.

Gamora felt her heart sink. She remembered this conversation from when they were on Ego.

“He won't get all of them.” Gamora's past said.

“But.” Nebula started.

“He can't Nebula.” Gamora interrupted. “He won't be able to get the soul stone. I found the instructions and I burned it.”

The projection flickered off and Gamora stood in silence.

“Where is the soul stone.” Thanos pressed standing behind her. She said nothing. “Very well.” He began his torture on Nebula again. This time he went further, testing to see how far until she broke.

Gamora looked away as her sister screamed. She couldn't handle it.

“Stop. I'll tell you how to get it.” Gamora gave in. How could she not? “You need the time stone. Its location lies beyond time. It's caught in stasis during the big bang.”

“Very well. The time stone should be arriving on Titan soon anyway.” He let Nebula go, and she crashed to the floor. Gamora rushed to her side as Thanos locked them in the room.

After lots of arguing and planning, the team of misfits finally agreed on a plan. Well, for the most part. All they all could really agree on was that they have to distract Thanos and not let him use the stones. Mantis would be their ace as her telepathic powers would be able to hold Thanos down when he was weak.

While everyone wanted Venom to do heavy fighting, their weakness to fire was too risky. Especially with Stark's plan to use his heavy duty missiles. Venom would also have to wait until the heavy fire was under control. Which meant a lot of pacing.

Eddie was nervous. His only real fight had been with Riot, and that left him emotionally damaged for months. He still wakes up in the middle of the night in cold sweats.

Eddie.

I know what you're about to say. That we will be okay, and I have nothing to fear. Eddie thinks back to his symbiote.

Actually we were thinking we should have stayed on Earth. Venom says. Eddie can't help but laugh.

Me too bud. Eddie thinks back. He wished he could see what was going on. Like that would somehow prepare him for their doom.

Eddie… No matter what happens. I love you. Venom said for the first time.

“I love you too.” Eddie says without hesitation. They both had always felt it, but never needed to say it aloud.

With no warning, Strange teleported them into the heart of the battle. Eddie landed flat on his ass.

“Ow!” He yelled. He looked up and a purple giant with a ballsack for a chin towered over them. Instinct took over and Eddie backed away from the Titan.

“What are you supposed to be?” Thanos mocked and dodged an incoming attack from Strange.

“We are Venom.” Venom took over Eddie's body and pulled them upright to begin their attack.

“The Venom symbiote?” Thanos laughed and used the power stone to push them away. “So this is what happened to you. I thought killed you.”

Eddie was floored. Venom never told him that they fought Thanos before.

He was my first host. Venom said. The one who corrupted them, was Thanos? Eddie couldn't believe it. I'm sorry I didn't tell you Eddie. We will talk later. Venom apologized.

Forcing them forward, Venom charged the Titan. Tendrils wrapped around Thanos's gauntlet as Venom's heavy fist collided with his head. Thanos took a step back, wiping a drop of blood from his face. He chuckled and used the reality stone. A ring of fire formed around them and began shrinking.

“I won't fail this time.” Thanos cackled and drew the fire in closer.

I get why not telling them, but why not me? Eddie's anger made them unstable. They couldn't move, and the fire was getting too close.

Tony flew low and fast, blowing out the fire. “Welcome to hell guys! The Mantis idea didn't go so well, she and Quill are both knocked out.” He shouted and used his blasters on Thanos. Drax swooped to cut Thanos's Achilles, causing him to fall onto one knee. But he wasn't fast enough to escape. Thanos grabbed Drax and threw him at an unsuspecting Stark. They crash landed with a bang.

Strange opened a portal behind the Titan. Peter and Stange popped out of the portal.  Peter latched his webs onto Thanos's hands, holding the Titan back. Strange floated on the other side reciting a long incantation.

He made me do terrible things Eddie. I was worried you'd want me to leave.

You idiot. You could never scare me away. Eddie and Venom were too distracted by their emotions to notice Strange summoning hundreds of himself. Each formed a magical whip. Together they wrapped around the Infinity gauntlet. Thanos used them to his advantage. He threw his hand back and with all his might, he threw the wizards towards the distracted duo. They collided into each other, and Strange's clones absorbed into him. However he absorbed each clones wounds. He collapsed from his injuries into Venom's arms.

“Hey Eddie and Venom!” Peter shouted as he kicked Thanos. He aimed his webs at his eyes. “This guy is really tough!”

I'm sorry Eddie. No more secrets. Venom sent him a silent plea for forgiveness, and Eddie nodded.

Peter shot webs on Thanos's shoulders, and propelled him forward. He landed a satisfying kick, and flipping over him. Peter managed to land some serious blows on Thanos's back, but he got cocky, and tried to do the same move twice on the Titan. He shot onto his shoulders again, and pulled back extra far this time to get more speed.

Thanos grabbed Peter's leg on the kick and slammed him against the ground. Something snapped and Peter screamed out, clutching his leg.

PETER!” Venom shouted. Thanos used the opportunity and grabs onto their head. The space stone started to glow. Venom and Eddie desperately pushed away from Thanos's grip. The space stone filled the gaps between Venom and Eddie, pulling them apart. It was absolute agony. Like flesh being ripped from his skin Eddie and Venom cried out in pain from their separation.

Thanos threw the limp Venom away. He held Eddie up by his arm.

“I can't believe it would pick such a loser to bond with.” Thanos said with a laugh.

“Fuck you.” Eddie tried to kick himself free.

“It was always sentimental. It will probably try to return to you.” Thanos said with mock pity. “So, just to be safe.”

He took Eddie's head in between his fingers. Eddie spat at the Titan. Thanos sighed and broke his neck. He dropped Eddie's limp body on the ground.

An inhumane screech filled the air, and black webbing shoots out at Thanos. Peter crashed into him, and sent Thanos back 10 feet.

“I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!” Venom screamed from Peter's body. “ YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME!”

Spider-Venom shouted and sprung toward the Titan. Peter's knee collided against Thanos' chin, knocking him on his ass. He was underprepared for how strong they were together. Peter's web shot onto the Infinity gauntlet and ripped it off of Thano's arm. Spider-Venom climbed on top of Thanos, punching him over and over again. His nose and mouth bled from the repeated abuse.

“YOU USED ME! OVER AND OVER AGAIN. YOU MADE ME KILL, YOU MADE ME BAD. EDDIE MADE ME GOOD!” Venom hissed into Thanos's face.

Peter's hands wrapped around Thanos's throat, as Venom seeped out of Peter and into Thanos. Peter gasped and let go after the transfer was complete. Sobs racked his body with the leftover emotions from Venom.

I want you to feel everything. Venom said in Thanos's mind. He forced Thanos to open his mind. Venom showed him how when they were hatched on Klyntar. How they had no purpose in life. They felt like part of them was missing. They would later know that they were incredibly lonely and became so desperate for a purpose they joined a Titan. His people were dying, and no one listened to his plan. He promised they would save the universe together. He deceived the symbiote, tricking them into bonding with him.

Do you remember Thanos? What you made me do?

Thanos was shown one of their memories together. Moments after being bonded the Titan tested their new abilities together, praising them on a job well done. Thanos brought him back to his dying planet, and together they killed every single one of them. “To end their suffering.” “For their own good.” Justification for the atrocity they had committed. The Titan continued his rampage planet to planet. The symbiote wanted to leave, but every time Thanos had convinced or threatened their cooperation. It went on for many tortuous years, so long they had spawned a symbiote named Carnage. The little symbiote was stronger than Venom, and had so much potential. Until Thanos got the reality stone.

Realizing the reality stone was stronger than the symbiotes, he tried to burn the symbiotes alive. Venom was able to escape, but their spawn perished in the flames.

They hopped host to host, and returned home. They wanted to rejoin the hive and try to put the horrors of Thanos behind them. But their people turned on them. The trial was humiliating. The Klyntar forced them beg for mercy, and then exiled them to a planet of corrupted symbiotes.

Even when I thought I was free, you took more from me.

They flooded Thanos's mind with more memories. This time of being an outcast with the other corrupted symbiotes, and their hunger. They had never felt pain like it before. Thanos had left them a hollow killing machine, searching for another planet to feast on. The exact same torture that they had suffered with Thanos. A fate worse than death.

They wished they would die, and then they met Eddie. The planet they were trying to conquer seemed unremarkable enough. A planet that no one really knew or cared about because it was so underdeveloped. They were making primitive attempts of space travel, so the symbiotes developed a plan. They got onto a comet that would get in range of Earth's reach, and let them take them home. Hundreds of other planets fell to the same plan. However they underestimated humans. The containers they had were much stronger than they originally thought. Only Riot was able to escape. But when the humans came to pick up the other symbiotes, Riot didn't come back for them. Leaving them to be tested on by the humans.

They were held there for, what he would later know, was six horrible months. Humans quickly learned that they needed hosts. They were so hungry they would desperately attach themselves to any host they could find. The first human host was terrible. So incompatible the symbiote burned through his cells. Their bones marrow melting away until crumpling to the floor in a mess. His last host they tested on was a woman. She had many voices in her head, so she hardly noticed Venom's presence. The symbiote liked her. They would shuffle through her memories, learning more about this planet. Not many people were kind to her. She didn't seem to mind. But there was a man that always made her smile. He was down on his luck, but always had a dollar or even sometimes twenty to give her.

Then I met him .

Fate would bring the two souls together. Eddie came one night to get evidence of Drake's wrong doings. Two losers, who fit together perfectly. The symbiote had never felt such a perfect match before. Eddie was perfect. They were made for each other, and slowly they fell in love. They became Venom. Their love, their joy, and their sadness. Everything that made them, them. Every laugh, every kiss, every pet name; Eddie belonged to them, and they belong to Eddie. You can't have one without the other.

They forced Thanos to feel their love, and then the unbearable pain of being separated. The hole they felt when they weren't together. How incomplete and wrong it was to be with anyone but him.

It was too much. Thanos couldn't stop the tears from falling. Do you understand now? Do you understand what you stole from me?

“I'm sorry.” Thanos says weakly. Venom began to eat him from the inside. He screamed, but there was nothing he could do. Venom went excruciatingly slow, making it the most painful death in existence. They devoured all of his organs until it was just his heart beating rapidly. Venom coiled around it, giving one last painfully slow squeeze until Thanos died.

Venom seeped out and crawled desperately towards Eddie's body.

Everything was wrong when they entered Eddie's body. Dead . They stitched the severed nerves back together. They pieced everything back to way it was before. Venom forced Eddie's heart to beat. They didn't want to stop, but there was no response. Peter ran over with Stark. Peter's eyes were red from crying.

Please Eddie. Please. Venom gave one last desperate plea. I don't want be alone .

Venom's life was nothing but pain and abuse. Eddie was their home, and their entire life. So they curled around his heart, petting it gently. If they couldn't save Eddie they would die with him, so they let go.

Bump bump Bump bump

Eddie? Venom prayed.

“Owwww.” Eddie sat up and groaned loudly.

EDDIE! Venom formed a head and arms. They pulled Eddie in for a tight hug. Their relief .

“Vee...” Eddie cried as he pulled his symbiote into a tighter hug.

Eddie. My Eddie. They both cried as they embraced.

“Gross guys. Save it for the honeymoon.” Stark said obviously relieved and still held a hand out to help them up. Eddie grinned and took the help. He dusted off his jeans and hoodie.

Eddie was in far better condition than everyone else. Stark's suit was battered and torn, and he was bleeding from a head wound.

“Glad to see you're okay. I'm going to go check on the others.” Tony patted Eddie's shoulder. With a small smile he took off to go help the Guardians get down from Peter's web. Leaving just Peter and Eddie.

Peter looked embarrassed not knowing what to say to them for a moment.

“Venom, thank you for healing me. Eddie I'm glad you're not dead.” Peter said sincerely before realizing what he said. “Wait let me rephrase that.”

“No need kid.” Eddie said and put a hand on Peter's shoulder. “We are glad you're okay. After Venom and I talk, can we come find you and talk about that second interview?”

Peter met them with a huge grin. “That sounds great. Come find me after you're done.” Peter waved as he bounded off to help his teammates. When he was out of earshot, Eddie spoke to his symbiote.

“Come on out.” Eddie held out his hand. Venom's head extending out from his chest, their jagged teeth covered in an imitation frown. Eddie reached a little, and Venom hesitantly rubbed against their host's hand. “Tell me everything.”

Venom pulled their head away, and avoided eye contact.

You'll leave me. Venom said shyly.

“Vee,” Eddie said softly. “I can't be with someone who hides things from me. I need you to be honest with me.”

Venom looked away from a moment. They gathered their thoughts, and tried to fight away their fear. They opened their minds to Eddie.

They feed them memories of their relationship with Thanos.

Their relationship with Thanos was an unhealthy one to saw the least. At first he always complimented the symbiote, making them feel proud. Over time the compliments were replaced with insults. Venom was not allowed to have an opinion or a voice. They sat in quiet discontent, unsure of their own feelings. They knew what they were doing with Thanos was wrong, but Thanos's mission was their mission right? They didn't want to hurt these planets, but that was all they knew.

“If you didn't agree with him, why didn't you leave?” Eddie asked.

It was complicated Eddie. Before Thanos had an army, it was just me and him. The only way I could leave is joining a host on a planet we conquered, so he'd know where to look. I was stuck Eddie. Venom explained. I tried only tried once to argue with Thanos.

They relaxed into Eddie's mind. They were brought back to the day Thanos had set his eye on two neighboring planets. The planet they called X344, was wealthy and rich with beautiful seas and rolling hills. Truly a paradise. The neighboring planet, X345 was in terrible condition. Things were so bad, mothers were selling their children to be slaves to X344.

The people were hardy and worked in the mines collecting simple metals. They were rich in lead, and had pockets of iron. But the soil was nutrient deficient, only the toughest vegetables survived. X344 used this to their advantage for centuries, and kept the planet of x345 under their control.

Until Thanos decided to intervene.

Thanos, we shouldn't kill half of x345, it's x344 that's using them. Venom suggested as they got closer to the sister planets.

Thanos said nothing for a few moments, and Venom began to wonder if they were ignoring them again. He thought they talked too much, and would give the symbiote the silent treatment for days if the symbiote tried to have a conversation. They could never tell what he was thinking. He had a lock on his mind, one that Venom couldn't crack.

“No, we have to be fair, random. We don't get to bend the rules for any reason.” Thanos had waived off symbiote.

What rules? Venom scoffed, but they soon regretted it.

“Are you questioning my rule?” Thanos questioned the symbiote.

No I just don't think it's fair. Venom tried to explain.

“Enough! You don't get to have an opinion, parasite.” Thanos shouted at them. They immediately darted away from the Titan.

Those people are being used, it's not fair! Venom shouted back, flashing their teeth. Thanos said nothing, but walked over to the main console.

What are you doing? The symbiote asked as the Titan began to type in some codes.

Wait! Venom shouted as he realized what Thanos was typing in. The Titan ignored them and continued programming. Venom took control of their body, and pulled their hands away from the keyboard.

Thanos was furious.

“Don't you ever do that again!” Thanos shouted and slammed his hands back down on the keyboard. Two powerful beams shot out, punching holes through the planets. “Those deaths are on you.”

That was the 344th and 345th planet their “mercy” had reached.

I spent many years destroying planets with Thanos. I have spent even more trying to forget what he had done to me, and our spawn. Venom said, and relived the horror of watching their child burn to ash by Thanos.

Eddie processed everything Venom had shown him. He felt his partner's deep sorrow for their lost spawn.

“But why not tell me?” Eddie asked. He still couldn't understand why Venom hid this from him. They told them all about their trial, and the abuse from the other Klyntar. He shared all of his fuck ups with Venom too, he thought they had no barriers. “He was awful to you, but I thought… I thought we were.. Venom.”

For once, Eddie couldn't find the words. How could he? Their relationship ran deep, words would do it injustice.

Eddie. You're so good, how could you forgive me for destroying the universe? Venom pleaded.

“Because it wasn't you!” Eddie shouted at them, and Venom recoiled. Eddie softened his tone and expression. “You didn't want to go and kill the universe. You just wanted a partner, but we are partners.”

Venom was beyond relieved. They were unsure if Eddie would still want them after this. We love you Eddie. More than we ever thought possible. We are sorry, and we will never lie to you again.

“I know you won't.” Eddie smiled slightly at his partner. “Come here, love.”

Venom didn't hesitate to form arms and shoulders. They scooped their host in another hug. Eddie melted into the embrace. My perfect, wonderful Eddie. No secrets, I am yours.

Eddie laughed into the embrace, but he knew Venom was sincere. He pulled away to look up at Venom's opalescent eyes. He could spend a lifetime looking at them, and never get bored. He wondered if Thanos and Venom had ever…

No Eddie, our relationship was never sexual. What we have is special. Venom answered their thoughts.

“Then how did you have a kid?” Eddie asked, suddenly concerned.

Venom chuckled deeply. I spawn asexually. About every 10 Earth years.

“Cool cool.” Eddie said immediately. “How long until you spawn again?”

Riot was our last spawn about 8 years ago. I'm due anytime within the next two years.

“We killed your kid!” Eddie shouted in disbelief.

Yea, but they were a little shit.

“But I feel terrible now, .”

Don't, they were born corrupted, and they were going to destroy Earth.

“They were still your kid.” Eddie said in defense.

Klyntar don't raise their young. Riot got what they deserved.

“When you spawn next, we will raise our child together.” Eddie decided. “That way they turn out perfect.”

Venom wrapped themselves around his neck, and purred happily. We will be a family.

Yeah, I'd like that. Eddie thought back.

They came down to meet the group of heroes. They were all talking amongst themselves. Peter waved with a grin when he saw them. Eddie returned the smile and rushed over. Tony and Strange greeted them with smiles of their own.

When Eddie got there, Tony patted Eddie's shoulder.

“You guys did good today.” Tony said sincerely. “You all did.”

Tony turned to the makeshift team. They all were dirty and had injuries, but wore proud smiles. Peter propped Drax up against his right side, and Mantis stood nearby just in case.

“Hey Venom and Eddie. I'm sorry I called you a parasite. I know I was wrong now.” Quill said, and stuck his left hand. Eddie laughed and took his hand with his own.

“No hard feelings.” Eddie said with a grin and a shake. Venom was still a little mad, but didn't say anything.

“Hey guys, I don't know if it's because we all almost died together or what, but you are all invited to my wedding.” Tony grinned and played with the infinity gauntlet. “No gifts.”

"Mr. Stark, I think you have a concussion." Peter joked, and everyone laughed.

"Your probably right kid." Tony said with a chuckle of his own.

Eddie felt a sudden chill go down his spine. He had never felt anything like it before. He jumped back at the same time as Peter. A low whirl hummed above them as a spaceship lowered itself by the group

“You guys need a ride?” A voice shouted overhead. The ship lowered itself, standing onto was a green woman with flaming red hair.

“GAMORA!” Quill shouted and rushed to the spacecraft.

“Peter.” Gamora jumped into his arms. Their lips locked in a tearful kiss, as they reunited. Mantis supported a limping Drax to go hug their friends.

A blue robot woman landed the ship, and climbed out.

“Nebula!” Every Guardian shouted except Gamora. They quickly pulled her into the group hug that they were sharing. She seemed uncomfortable, but reluctantly accepted it. They were so caught up in their emotions they seemed to forget the Avengers.

“So Eddie, after we go back we have to work on this whole head eating business.” Tony said interrupting the mood.

“Yea, figured.” Eddie rubbed the back of his neck.

“But, maybe, after we find a solution; you could join the Avengers.” Tony suggested.

“I don't know.” Eddie was hesitant, but Venom swirled excitedly.

Say yes Eddie, we are heroes. Venom was practically jumping for joy.

“How about only world ending events?” Eddie asked. If he brought Venom public too soon, people may figure out the secret alien and the reporter were together.

How much of this piece go public anyway? Is it worth writing? Eddie thought to himself.

“We can work out the details.” Tony said with a business demeanor. But lightened up, and with a smirk said, “I heard you wanted to interview view me and the kid after all this.”

“Yeah, if you wouldn't mind. Also I want the scoop on your wedding.” Eddie said in an overly friendly mannerism, but Tony didn't mind.

“We will see.” He said, but Eddie could tell he said yes.

“Hello Avengers,” Gamora greeted. “it is very nice to meet you. My name is Gamora and this is my sister Nebula.”

Nebula kept her distance but gave everyone a friendly nod.

“I heard the Venom symbiote was the one to kill Thanos.” Gamora stated.

Venom swirled inside Eddie. He gave her a nod, and she opened her arms for a hug. Which Eddie awkwardly accepted.

“We heard stories of what Thanos did to you.” Gamora pulled away with tears still in her eyes. “He threatened to do, or did do, the same to us; it was terrifying.”

Venom formed a head of his own to respond.

Thank you, Gamora. I am sorry you two had to go through Thanos's love. They hissed in spite, not holding back on teeth. I hope you two can both find what love means to you, like I have.

It struck deep and warm in Eddie's heart. He knew all eyes were on him, so he tried really hard not to react. Mantis's hand rested on her heart as she smiled at the couple.

“Thank you.” Gamora smiled.

“Thank you Venom.” Nebula added too.

Before an awkward silence could form, Gamora brought the group back to reality. “Earth is still in danger, his army doesn't know he is dead. We need to get over there and fight the invasion force.”

“It would take days by spacecraft.” Nebula frowned, and looked at the large group and little ship.

“I am a master of the mystic arts, and guardian of the time stone. I can use the infinity gauntlet to make a portal back to Earth.” Strange brought up. Tony, who was carrying the gauntlet, handed it to Strange.

“That's useful.”

“Let's go home.” Strange said as he opened a portal to Earth, big enough for the stolen ship to fit through.

“Let's go kick names and take ass!” Mantis cheered.

“That's right!” Drax said enthusiastically, and the whole team laughed.

What do you say? Wanna go save Earth, again? Eddie thought to his other.

With you, always.

Chapter 3: The End

Summary:

It's been real y'all

Chapter Text

This was not my original idea. However I didn't quite get the response I wanted so I waited to see what Endgame had to offer. I have mixed feelings about it. Also, as always: I'm not compliant with cannon. Nor is this chapter beta read, so we die like men. (I didn’t get any response from that either.)

---

Eddie sighed as he undid the crooked knot on his neck. He had been trying to get it straight for ten minutes now and he was about to throw a fit.

Let me do it. Venom said and formed a torso with arms.

"Go for it." Eddie gave up and let his symbiote wrap the bowtie around them. "Where did you even learn how to do this?"

Anne and Dan's wedding. Venom stated. Their claws gently trace Eddie's neck and jaw. Eddie had to fight to keep his heart from racing. Why can't I be your bowtie this time?

"Because I spent $75 on this and I want my money's worth." Eddie said.

Ok, that is reasonable. Venom concluded. When will Peter get here?

"Soon, love." Eddie pet his symbiote's head before they slipped back inside him.

It has been one year since Thanos, and almost two years being Venom. A lot has changed since their impulse decision to board that alien craft.

At the time he didn't realize how that decision would change his life forever. Eddie decided not to use the evidence he gathered to get a Pulitzer. In return, Tony gave him exclusive rights to his interviews. Which made him quite a bit of money. Also Tony was able to synthesize a chemical to combat Venom's craving for human brains, and with that they introduced Venom as an official Avenger. Life was amazing.

He's here. Venom said as someone knocked on the door. Peter walked in with a huge grin on his face.

"Hey Pete." Eddie greeted with a matching grin. They had really gotten attached to the web head, especially Venom.

"Hey guys." Peter grinned. "Can you believe it's already been one year since Thanos?"

"I was just thinking about it. Of course Tony would get married on the same day." Eddie laughed.

"I can't believe Pepper agreed." Peter rolled his eyes.

"She had to be tricked into it." Said Venom, forming a little head.

"Or bribed." Peter laughs. Eddie was happy they became friends with Peter. He was a pretty good kid, and since moving to New York he has been a good source of entertainment. That, and Venom absolutely adored him.

"Probably a mixture of both." Eddie added with his own laugh.

"There you guys are." Aunt May came into the room. "Pete I told you to get Eddie, not talk his ear off. We only have 8 more minutes until it starts."

"Oh right." Peter laughed and they all went to stand by the alter.

Rhodey was obviously Tony's best man, but Tony asked all the male avengers to be his groomsmen. After the battle at Wakanda, Tony was able to rekindle his relationship with Steve. Together they introduced new legislation to help create order and rectify some of the damage caused by the Avengers and other well-meaning rouge mutants.

Thor caught Eddie's eye, and the Asgardian came up to wrap an arm around their shoulders.

"Hello Eddie and Klyntar." Thor said in a cheery voice. Turns out Thor had a long history with the Klyntar, even helping them escape an evil tyrant named Knoll years ago. "This is my first Earth wedding. Will there be a race, or perhaps a goat sacrifice?"

I want to sacrifice a goat. Venom thought excitedly.

Eddie burst out laughing. "No, no. There will be vows, cake, dancing, and other stuff. Pepper would never let that happen."

May was one of Pepper's bridesmaids, and was glaring across the aisle. In retrospect it probably wasn't a good idea to put Eddie next to Peter and Thor. Tony walked out from the back in front of his groomsmen. He had a giant grin on his face.

"Ok we can start to shut up now." He said raising his hand. There was quite of few people at his wedding. Even the infamous Nick Fury. Everyone settled into their seats and not long after Here Comes the Bride starting playing.

Pepper walked out in a beautiful silky wedding dress that highlighted all of her best features. Her veil was lace and flowed slightly over her face. Tony was star struck and had to hold back his tears.

Eddie something's wrong. Venom thought.

What? Where? Eddie looked around him. Everyone's eyes were glued on the happy couple.

I don't know. I feel something is coming. Venom became restless under his skin. He could feel Venom forming beneath his clothes, just waiting to take over.

Eddie kept looking for someone acting funny in the crowd. But a glance over Peter's shoulder figured it out. The ground next to him starting swelling with colorful dots. Eddie threw Peter out of the way as soon as it suddenly grew bigger. Eddie swore as he fell in place of the kid.

"Venom!" Eddie yelled as he tried to grab the edge of hole he fell into. Venom had already covered him but the hole closed leaving them to fall into a pit of blackness. That was until he hit a brick wall going 1000 mph.

Eddie woke up with a horrible headache. He blinked slowly adjusting to the light around him. He brought his hands to his eyes and tried to stop the pounding.

"Vee?" He moaned.

Here. Venom's voice was quieter than usual.

"What happened?" Eddie groaned and tried to sit up. His whole body ached.

We hit a building. I've been repairing us for hours. I'm hungry Eddie.

"Explains why I feel like we got hit by a bus. Do you know where we are?" Eddie stretched his tender muscles.

It smells like New York. But different. Venom said after a moment. Less piss.

Eddie couldn't help but chuckle. If they were in New York all he had to do was find the Avengers tower. They would know what to do. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Cracked, but still pulled up his lockscreen (a picture of his motorcycle). He pulled up google, but received an error saying he didn't have service.

"Damn. Guess we have to do it the old fashioned way." Eddie swore as he looked up at the skyscrapers. He could feel Venom grinning. Truth be told, he gave up on his fear of heights, but he didn't want to give Venom the satisfaction of knowing it was because of them. Venom would never let Eddie die.

But Eddie didn't like going Venom during the day. Even though he was an Avenger, people were still scared of them. And they only want to scare bad guys. But Venom was never one to be shy.

They were on the roof in a flash. All they had to do was find the Empire State building and go two blocks south. They swung from rooftop to rooftop, soaring higher every time. Luckily they weren't two far from central park, so finding the Empire State Building was easy enough.

It's gone Eddie! Venom landed on a building. Where the Avengers tower once stood; now housed a different company.

"Oscorp? What the fuck?" Eddie swore. "This doesn't make any sense."

Eddie. What if… Venom hesitated. We are in another dimension.

"But how?" Eddie rubbed his temples. He was good with a lot of subjects but physics wasn't in his repertoire.

I don't know. Venom answered honestly.

"Ok, but we could be on the wrong street or something." Eddie tried to reason.

Maybe. Venom hesitantly agreed.

"Let's go down and try to figure this out at the library?" Eddie suggested. Venom didn't respond and went back inside Eddie. Eddie grumbled and luckily the buildings roof was unlocked. He was down about three flights when a kid in a Spiderman outfit was climbing up. A shiver went down their spine as the kid got closer. The same sensation he sometimes gets around Peter.

"Pete?" Eddie asks instinctively, and the kid jumps. Eddie could now see the brown skin poking through the eye holes of his mask. Definitely not Peter Parker.

"Too soon man." The kid says and takes off past him.

"Too soon?" Eddie asks themselves as he continues down the stairs. He reaches the main doors and walks into a crowd of people dressed as Spiderman, many of which were crying. Across a sea of Spidermen, was a giant screen of a blonde smiling man. Underneath saying New York's hero, Spiderman, found dead. Eddie's emotions started going crazy.

Alternate universe Eddie, our Peter is okay.

I know, I know. But this is crazy. I can't wrap my mind around it. Eddie thought back.

I'm betting that whatever killed this Spiderman brought us here.

I'd bet you're right. Eddie agreed. He started walking down the street away from the memorial for Spiderman. Then a small screaming figure landed on top of a taxi and landing on the sidewalk. The same kid as before. The same tingle from before came back.

You don't think he's…

He could be. Eddie knew what Venom was implying. After Venom was in Peter, they had adapted some of his powers. Venom could now shoot webs, stick to walls, and has what Peter calls spider-sense

"Hey kid. Are you alright?" Eddie rushed over to help the poor boy up. He saw a flash drive that was crushed in the kid's hand. The kid was quick to hide the broken drive.

"Yea I'm fine." He groaned as he stood up. "I was never here." Without another word he started running away from them.

"Did you get that darling?" Eddie asked aloud.

Alchemax. Venom purred.

"I love you so much." Eddie grinned as they strolled down to the library.

For the most part, this New York was the same theirs. Rats and trash in the alleys, and interesting characters on the street.

Eddie, what are we going to do? Venom asked.

We are going to look up all of our friends, and see if they can help us. If that doesn't work, we are going to research Alchemax and find out who is in charge of the physics department. Eddie explained.

I knew that, but what are we going to do if we get stuck here?

We will be okay, we have each other. Eddie reassured his symbiote. But in all honesty, he was scared for their future.

It wasn't hard sneaking onto a library computer. Eddie could be really stealthy when he wanted to be. But in reality he just piggybacked off someone who forgot to log out.

Ew this universe uses Internet Explorer as its main search engine. Eddie thought mostly to himself.

Let's see if Tony can help us out first. He typed in Tony Stark in the search bar, and only a few results of some mayor in Idaho. He then went down the list of all his connections, with no success.

So he began his research into Alchemax. They were an alternative science institution. Kind of like the Life foundation. They researched into theories trying to prove them. Eddie dug through the employee records, but the name Olivia Octavius really stood out to him. She had a few educational videos explaining her theories. She seemed a bit quirky, but nice.

Says shes the main scientist for alternate dimension research.

Bet she would know how to get us home.

If she won't I'll eat her head. Eddie could practically hear Venom drool.

"We're not doing that." Eddie accidentally burst out. He glanced around, but no one reacted.

Eddie bit his lip and typed in his name. There were thousands of articles. Most of them from 5 years ago. About their death.

He couldn't believe what he was reading. He and Venom attacked Spiderman, and killed Harry Osbourne. Spiderman ended up killing them both with a grenade. But before that he and Venom would terrorize the city. Many, many times. The more he read, the sicker he got. Until he saw a picture of this universe's Eddie Brock.

Eddie, we are hot! Venom mentally exclaimed.

Holy shit. Eddie thought. This Eddie was tall with well defined muscles, bodybuilder strong. He had a strong chiseled jaw covered by a thick blonde beard. And those gray sweatpants didn't leave anything to the imagination.

I just realized something. Venom purred.

Eddie suddenly became curious.

In this universe and probably many other universes we are together. Venom formed a small ball of goo in Eddie's hand for him to play with.

That's really cute. Eddie brought up his hand to plant a kiss on the ball.

All of Eddie's nerves lit on fire. He gasped in shock and pain as he and his symbiote fell out of their chair. Venom screeched from pain.

"Vee, what's happening." Eddie gasped in pain as he tried to brace himself.

After a moment, the pain subsided.

"We have to go." Venom took over for Eddie. Normally Eddie would freak out if Vee went full Venom in public, but he was in too much pain to care. They tore out of the library, leaving disturbed library goers in their wake. Luckily it was dusk and it hid Venom weaving through alleyways until they found a secluded spot.

"What was that?!" Eddie exclaimed. He had never felt pain so intense. Venom formed a head and sadly rubbed against their host's neck.

"Our cells are being disintegrated from this universe." Venom said sadly. "I can only heal us so much. We need to eat."

"This is some bullshit." Eddie wanted to cry in frustration. He was starting to get overwhelmed by the whole situation.

"The situation is not ideal." Venom agreed. "But we need a plan."

"Right," Eddie took a deep breath. "We are going to pretend we have an interview with Olivia Octavius tomorrow. But for now, let's go look for something we can eat."

A bottle crashed somewhere in the alley.

"Just come a little further honey. I'll find your mommy for you." A man's voice echoed off the brick alley. A man in a grey suit was holding a young girl's hand. She seemed wary of the stranger but not sure how to react. She tried stopping, and he pulled harshly on her arm. She cried and tried to fight the man.

Bad guy?

Very bad. Eddie stormed over to the man. It had been almost a year since they had eaten a human. Every once in a while Eddie will get Vee a chicken or something live as a snack.

Wait. Venom said as they covered their host. Let's steal his clothes.

You're perfect. Eddie complimented. There was no way that their torn up tux was going to get them into Alchemax. The man's button down white shirt and grey slacks would. Eddie didn't really want the coat.

The man was too preoccupied by the girl to notice Venom behind him. Venom growled deep and intimidating. They turned and faced them in shock and fear.

The little girl took off, screaming all the way. Giving a perfect opportunity for Venom to grab the pervert.

"You will never touch another person again. Get naked." They growled in his face. The man horror stricken slowly takes off his clothes.

"Please, don't do this." The man begged. "I have a wife and two kids."

"You have children and you were going to rape a little girl!" Venom roared.

"I'm sick, but please. Please don't kill me." The man pleaded. He fell to his knees as the last article was shed. "I swear, I'll get help."

I feel like we can’t kill him. Eddie mentally sighed.

Doesn't mean we should let him go. Venom argued back. Venom shot Eddie a mental image of what they wanted to do to him.

Oh, I agree.

"Then let's take a way your urges then." Venom grinned and picked up the man. They gave them a swift kick in the balls. So hard the man passed out on pain. Venom retreated back into Eddie.

We're still hungry. Venom complained as their meal lay on the ground tempting them.

"I know love, but dinner is on him." Eddie asked as he put on the man's clothes. He frowned because pants were slightly too big. Venom slithered around his waist acting as a belt.

"Thanks." He dug into the man's wallet to see if he had any cards or cash. They were in luck the man had a ten thousand dollar bill. "What crazy inflation here." Eddie flipped the bill over. It was a picture of John F. Kennedy.

"Is this supposed to be a their 10 dollar equivalent or 100?"

Doesn't matter. He has credit cards. Let's go get a motel. Venom sounded exhausted. Venom didn't actually sleep, but they need to rest like everyone else. Plus it would be nice to sleep on something instead of the street.

They walked around looking for the ugliest motel front. One that wouldn't ask any questions or any ID. It wouldn't be too hard, this is New York after all.

Burgers. Venom stopped Eddie in his tracks. Please Eddie.

I'm so down. Eddie grinned as he looked to see if the road was clear before proceeding. They came inside the little diner like restaurant.

Eddie took a seat at the bar, grabbing a menu from the side. Order whatever you want.

A waitress came up to greet them.

"Hi, what can I get started for you to drink today." She asked with a smile.

"Water please." Eddie replied with a smile of his own.

They have tater tots. We want tots.

"Sounds good." Eddie agreed. He thumbed over the menu, and his ten thousand dollar bill would only last him one meal. Which was kind of a bummer.

"Here you go." The waitress said as she set down his water. "Have you had a chance to look over our menu, or do you need another moment?"

"No we're ready." Eddie closed the menu. "We will take a cheeseburger with extra pickles and no onions. And instead of fries can we do tater tots?"

The waitress stared at him for a moment. "Umm, we?"

Eddie blushed. It was extremely difficult not using their chosen pronouns I public.

"Oh sorry. I'm usually with my partner. I forgot they weren't here." Eddie explained. She seemed to buy it, and scribbled down his order.

"One cheeseburger extra pickles, no onion, with tots. What do you want as a dipping sauce." She asked.

"Ketchup and a side of mayo." Eddie said and handed the menu back to her.

"Right away." She said and took the order to the kitchen.

For the first time today, Eddie relaxed. He put his head against the bar and closed his eyes. Thankfully Venom was quiet, so Eddie could focus on his breathing. He thought back to the old meditation tracks Mrs. Chen would sell him. He really missed her, but the Avengers moved him out to New York City. He didn't mind the move, but he did miss his friends in San Francisco. Venom let him have 5 minutes of silence before he started poking at the edges of Eddie's mind. Which Eddie opened without hesitation. Venom canvassed his mind, trying to sense Eddie's feelings.

We will be okay. Venom reassured.

How do you know that? Eddie asked. All he wanted to do was go to a wedding. How was he supposed to know he was going to be sucked into an alternate dimension. Let alone know how to get back to their universe before they would painfully disintegrate in this one.

We weren't supposed to be the one's here. Venom corrected Eddie's spiraling thoughts. Peter was.

Maybe the way out of this is to solve who killed this universe's Spiderman. Eddie theorized.

Way to steal my thunder. Venom huffed.

Sorry Love. Eddie smiled.

Do you think your phone can connect to wifi? Venom asked. Eddie was full on grinning.

It's worth a try. He dove into his pocket and brought up his cracked phone. Luckily enough it still had about 21% left. He went to the wifi signal and opened the settings. The little gear spun for a moment, and Eddie held his breath. Soon a few free wi-fi signal names had popped up. He wasn't sure if he wanted to cry, scream, or a combo of the two. So instead let out a large sigh of relief, and went to work.

Let's scroll the local news.

The local news included some interesting stories, Bernie Sanders was president and was rolling out life changing policies.

"God I wish." Eddie accidentally said aloud.

Focus . Venom reigned him in.

"Right." Eddie said aloud, again, and he could practically hear Venom's facepalm. Two years together and they had mastered being in public. They can communicate internally with little facial expression. Sometimes they can get too fully emerged in their conversations to notice other people. Work in progress.

This is odd. Eddie scrolled past an article about an earthquake in Brooklyn. Some people as far as Manhattan felt it. The map was highlighted on a small part of Downtown Brooklyn. Right over the subway lines, where this Spiderman died.

It's no coincidence. Eddie could feel it in his gut. Eddie dug deeper. The surrounding land was a privately owned hotel and apartment complex, and some large trading companies. With a little digging, he found out that the hotel and apartments were owned by PinKing Inc.

Wilson Fisk. Eddie hissed. When Eddie lived in New York before moving to San Francisco, there was a masked Vigilante dubbed the Daredevil. He was able to bring down a man of Wilson Fisk.

Fisk used his hotel as a front to smuggle in weapons, drugs, and women. He ran the most secretive human trafficking operation ever uncovered. His wife and son fled the country after everything went down.

Eddie, we saw his name on the website, he owns Alchemax. Venom pulled up their memory from earlier that day. Eddie was super focused on Dr. Octavius that he just skimmed by it.

"Shit." Eddie gripped his phone tight as he glared at his phone.

"No one's ever greeted me like that when I'm bringing the food." The waitress laughed. She set down the plate loaded with tater tots. "Asked them to make extra, considering you aren't from around here."

Eddie's heart began to pound in his chest as he asked. "Why do you think that?"

"Well because around here, ketchup and mayo is called fry sauce." The waitress tapped off his water cup and asked. "Do you need anything else?"

"No, thank you." Eddie relaxed and picked up a couple of tots. He presented one to his sleeve where Venom swiftly took it.

He dipped a few in the fry sauce, enjoying how good restaurant tots were. He left some tots and moved on to his burger. He didn't realize how hungry they actually were, even with Venom's nagging.

They made short work of the burger. Eddie wiped off his hands and went back to work.

So Wilson Fisk owns Alchemax and has buildings on top of the subway that killed Spiderman. Safe to assume that Dr. Octavius works for him too. Eddie sighed. He ate a few tater tots, slipping Venom a couple.

Maybe we could trick them? Venom suggested.

How? Eddie asked, he was open to any suggestions.

Well they know us a bad guy. Maybe we try to team up and trick them into letting us go home. Venom answered.

That's a good idea. Let's see if we can come up with more. After we find a motel to stay in. Eddie started looking up nearby motels, and found the one with the worst rating.

Got it? Because once we leave here we lose our wifi. Eddie asked.

Got it. Venom confirmed.

Eddie grabbed the remaining tots, and left his bill on the counter. He ordered cheap so he could give the waitress the rest as a tip. Once he was out of the building he let Venom lead the way.

Short cut. Venom turned down an unpopulated low-lit street.

"Ok." Eddie shrugged. He wasn't afraid of anyone or anything anymore. He threw one of the tots in the air for him to try to catch. Venom shot up and grabbed it before he could catch it.

"Hey!" Eddie shouted out looking at his symbiote with betrayal.

"You couldn't have caught it anyway." Venom taunted.

"Could too." Eddie rolled his eyes. "Watch."

Eddie threw the tot up and tried to line it up his catch, when his tot shot away faster than a blink of the eye.

"Dude!" Eddie growled at his symbiote, but his symbiote retreated into his body. A pair of footsteps creeped up behind them. "Who's there?"

"You're not from around here." A man stepped forward from the shadows. He was wearing a Spiderman outfit but with sweatpants underneath and a trenchcoat on top. His nose was broken many years ago, and he was sporting a slight black eye.

"What's it to you?" Eddie took defensive. He could feel Venom's nervousness pulse through him, but he couldn't let it get the better of them.

"Normally, nothing. But you both know that I'm talking about a different kind of around here." The man pressed, and Eddie swallowed hard.

"Then you should know to leave us alone." Eddie stood their ground, but eyeing any possible escape route. You know, just in case.

"And I usually would, because of what you did to my best friend, I would let you die in this dimension." The man leaned against the building. He glanced over his hand, before glaring at Eddie. "But my spider sense was going crazy when I tried to leave you. Also you can thank the kid."

Eddie sat there calculating in his mind. "Peter?!"

"Peter you're so old!" Venom formed a head.

"I'm old?! You have to be in your forties." Peter stood up straight to defend himself.

"In our dimension you're 17." Eddie was shocked. To be fair the Peter from this dimension was 26.

"I'm grossed out now." Peter put his hands in his pockets.

"What? Why?" Eddie asked. He didn't know what was gross about a 17 year old Peter.

"Because Venom was inside a minor." Peter looked at him in disgust.

"It was only once!" Venom defended for no reason.

"Venom saved your life, and the lives of half the universe." Eddie defended his partner.

Venom rubbed their head against Eddie's palm.

"Wait, you don't want to kill me in your dimension?" Peter asked. He honestly seemed shocked by it.

"No you're just a kid. Also we have like this giant superhero team called the Avengers. And the leader, Tony Stark, took you on as an apprentice. If anything were to happen to you, I'm sure he would invent time travel just to save you."

"We are your friends Peter. House rule we don't harm any spiders." Venom reassured Peter.

"No." Peter took a step away from the couple. "You blamed me for Anne's death, but I was trying to save her."

"I don't know what happened there, but Anne's fine. We got engaged and moved to San Francisco, but I fucked that up. I went and saved Venom from the Life Foundation, and then we went on to save the Earth."

"And then we took down a bunch of drug smugglers, human traffickers, and mob bosses." Venom added their more recent ventures for good measure. Peter looked conflicted, before distancing himself.

"No, Venom tricked me into thinking that it was just a costume. Then wouldn't let me go when I found out. It was almost too late, we would have been permanently bonded." Peter shivered. His time with Venom was an unpleasant one.

"He kind of tricked me in the beginning too." Eddie remembered the second experience with the MRI machine.

"For like a day!" Venom barked at him. "He's telling the story wrong. I told you from the beginning what I wanted to do. Apologize Eddie"

"He's right, he did tell me that he was going to bring an army back to Earth." Eddie explained to Peter who looked really shocked. "But he didn't tell me that he was snacking on my organs."

"TO HEAL US FROM YOU GETTING HIT BY THAT CAR!" Venom yelled back growing arms to throw in the air.

"Alright, enough!" Peter stepped in. "You've obviously have made a life for yourself in your universe. I wish I could say the same in mine, honestly."

"Thank you, we really worked hard to earn it. Can I tell you something pretty crazy in my universe?" Eddie asked.

"Sure."

"Donald Trump is our president."

"You too?!" Peter gasped.

"You have to be kidding me!" A young voice shouted from the shadows. "Your president is Donald Trump. And you called my dimension bad!"

It was the same kid as before.

"Yea it's awful." Eddie shook his head. "He ran on a campaign against metahumans."

"My Trump is so much worse. He ran on a campaign against Mexicans. We straight up have concentration camps." Peter said. Eddie's jaw dropped.

"Peter's right, his is so much worse." The kid confirmed. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"So, Spiderman, my name is Eddie Brock." Eddie stook out his hand, which he eagerly took. A small shock rippled through them. "And we are Venom."

"You can call me Miles." Miles took of his mask, and grinned.

Fire ripped through them again. Venom screeched as they fell to the ground. Eddie grasped at Venom, but they recoiled from his touch. What felt like a lifetime passed before it finally subsided.

"Fuck." Eddie gasped and tried to catch his breath. Peter laid beside them, equally as tired. Miles stared at them in wide eyed panic.

We want to go home. Venom retreated back into Eddie.

Me too. Eddie agreed internally.

"So, same team?" Miles asked once the men stood up.

"Yea, I guess so." Peter confirmed and stuck him hand out to Eddie, which Eddie happily took.

---

Eddie, there is something I have to tell you. Venom quietly said in their shared mind.

"Hmm" Eddie hummed back, resting his head on the bus window.

We will tell you when we get home. It is good news. Venom purred.

"Ok." Eddie didn't argue and tried to get some sleep. Thankfully he was so exhausted he was able to fall asleep quickly. But Venom was awake doing maintenance on Eddie, and listening to the other spidermen.

"So, that's really Eddie Brock?" Miles asked Peter.

"It looks like it. I never thought I would see him again." Peter sighed.

"What really happened? In my universe, everyone spun the story saying you killed him." Miles asked. "I obviously didn't buy it, Jameson is crazy."

"Venom, it… it made me stronger, faster. But it corrupted me, made me hurt everyone I loved. I was so relieved it was off me, I didn't know it went and corrupted Brock. When I finally saved Brock from it's hold, I was going to end it once and for all. But Brock jumped into the fire to try to save it." Peter rubbed his eyes. "I tried to save him."

"It's not your fault Peter." Miles rested a hand on his mentor's shoulders.

"I didn't know that Venom could be so literate either. They connected by hijacking or manipulating my emotions. If I knew that it could speak, I don't know how things would have been." Peter pondered sadly.

"In my universe Venom had been a serial killer, eating heads off people." Miles told Peter.

"That's gross." Peter said. "I'm just glad somewhere out there, there is a Peter Parker who helped both Eddie Brock and Venom."

"And probably others." Miles reassured. Making the older man smile. They relaxed and enjoyed the ride to the country.

Venom wrapped themselves around their lover. The other Spidermens' experiences were their own. Venom couldn't comprehend why the other Venoms were evil. Once Eddie explained Earth's customs and laws, Venom knew this place was worth protecting. Everyday they learned more about humans, Earth, and most importantly about Eddie.

They let themselves rest and relax with Eddie's arms. Even if it would only last a few moments before they arrived, Venom wanted to enjoy the essence of being with their other. They baked in the warm sunlight peeking through the trees.

Eddie woke up before the bus stopped all the way. He stretched, and Venom melted into his skin. The bus pulled over and the three of them got out.

"I hate winter." Eddie shivered and pulled on the suit they stole. Peter's trenchcoat and Miles's parka taunted him. "Let's get this over with."

Eddie walked down the road towards the Alchemax building. Peter and Miles nodded and took off into the woods. He walked about a block, up to the giant research facility. It was definitely bigger than the photos made it seem. He stomped off some snow from his feet, before going in the sliding doors.

"Hi, how can I help you today?" A receptionist greeted with an overly fake smile.

"Yes my name is Tony Stark I am from the board of educational videos, I have an interview with Olivia Octavius today." Eddie calmly strode over to the girl. She grabbed a clipboard and looked through it.

"Oh you are not on Doctor Octavius's schedule." She said looking over a spreadsheet.

"I scheduled this out 6 weeks in advance. She told me she had a new idea she wanted to pitch. Can you call her down?" Eddie lied easily, the girl looked conflicted.

"I'm sorry but you need to be on the schedule, Dr. Octavius is a very busy woman." She stated.

"She made the appointment with me. I can't go to my boss empty handed, you understand." Eddie lied again. She bit her lip, obviously conflicted.

"I'll try." The girl pulled the phone to her ear and punched in a few numbers. She sat in silence for a moment before speaking. "Hi, Liv, a Tony Stark says he has a meeting with you today."

She sat in silence a moment more. "That's what I said, but he really wants to meet with you." She went quiet again, and after a moment she hung up the phone.

"She'll be right with you." The girl said, still a bit nervous for some reason.

"You're a lifesaver." Eddie thanked her and took a step away from the desk. A woman with big fluffy hair and circular glasses came from behind a door. She looked mad, and a bit disheveled.

"You must be Doctor Octavius." Eddie greeted with an extended hand. She took the hand shake with a quizzical look. "I was so very excited to receive your email a few weeks back about this meeting. Do you have an office where we could discuss it further?"

She stared at him for a moment before releasing his hand. "Right this way, Mr…"

"Stark." Eddie finished for her.

"Right." She said, but Eddie could have sworn she sounded amused. She led him down a hall into a section with many labs and office spaces.

"So Mr. Stark, remind me what we agreed upon in our last email." She asked opening one of the doors with a key.

"You had mentioned that you have found a way to converge multiple universes." Eddie threw out there to see if she would react. Instead of his expected reaction of fear, she grinned at him wildly.

"I think there is someone you should meet." She opened the door leading them inside. A man larger than life stood inside. Wilson fucking Fisk.

Eddie swallowed hard, and faked a smile.

"Eddie Brock this is Wilson Fisk, Wilson Fisk, this is Eddie Brock." She introduced them. Eddie's heart raced out of control. This was not part of the plan.

"I'm sorry, but I'm Tony Stark." Eddie tried to save his identity.

"Can it. Yesterday we heard of two separate reports of attacks done by Venom. Who has been dead for five years." Dr. Octavius pressed a button locking the doors.

"Fine, you got us." Eddie growled in Venom's voice. "Bad guy to bad guy though, we were hoping you could get us back."

"I think we can work out something." Fisk glared down with a sinister smile.

"But you know what this means Fisk?" Dr. Octavius studied Eddie's face, and Venom showed their teeth at her.

"Do you want to lose a hand?" Venom growled, not letting the woman touch their man. She slowly drew her hand back and readjusted her glasses.

"Our collider works." She grinned happily. She logged into the computer and pulled up a couple graphs and photos. "With a bit more time I think we'll be able to create a black hole with enough power to be successful this time."

"You have 24 hours." Fisk said. "Let's take a walk, I want to know more about how you got here Venom." Fisk led them out of the lab, and into his personal office.

"Well it's a long story." Eddie rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

"We have time." Fisk pressed.

"The ground collapsed below me, and we fell through into this universe. Slammed into a billboard and had to heal all of my bones. After that I just snooped around until I figured out you guys did it." Eddie summed up.

"No one did appreciate your nose Eddie." Dr. Octavius shook her head. "You will be the key to this whole operation. Shit, I forgot my coffee. You two talk."

She slipped out into the other room.

"I have a question for you." Eddie started. "Did you kill Spiderman?"

"Admiring my handiwork?" Fisk grinned and Eddie held in his rage.

"No, just knowing the right guy we have to kill." Venom covered his body, growing to the same size as Kingpin.

Fisk looked at them in horror before grabbing a gun. Venom roared and plowed into the giant man. Stray bullets breaking the glass walls. Venom knocked Fisk down and roared in his face. Heavy fists rained down on the man until knocking him unconscious.

Venom retreated back into Eddie. First step of their plan was complete, they just need to find Peter so they can meet up with Miles. Eddie ran down the halls.

"Run!" Peter called out. A floating computer monitor and computer were being carried by an invisible force.

"Miles?" Eddie questioned the invisible character.

"Help Peter!" Miles yelled back struggling to carry the equipment.

Dr. Octavius came out wearing four large controllable arms. One was wrapped around the limp body of Peter.

"Eddie Brock, I can't believe that you of all people would help Spiderman." Dr. Octavius said in fake shock. "When we dated you would only talk about the ways you were going to kill him."

"That's gross, I'd never date you!" Eddie yelled back. He let Venom take over.

"But you'd fuck that ball of slime!" Dr. Octavius shot one of her arms at them, but Venom dodged easily. They shot their own webs at Peter and pulled him away from her.

She roared in anger and shot more of her limbs out at them.

Venom grabbed one of her limbs and pulled her forward. They swung her up, then suddenly hard onto the ground. She groaned, stunned and out of breath.

"Good job Eddie!" Peter shouted and they both took off chasing after Miles who was still invisible. He took the monitor out of Miles's hand and threw it away. "Good news, we don't need this"

They ran into the cafeteria, and everyone stared in stunned silence. Peter took the time to select his bagel before casually strolling through the cafeteria. Once everyone started to realize what they were dealing with, scientists started whipping out guns.

"What kind of place is this!" Eddie shouted and ran through to the balcony. Bullets barely missed them as they took off over the edge. Peter pushed on one of his web shooters onto Miles's wrist before shoving him off the balcony. Eddie closed his eyes and jumped off the edge of the balcony.

Venom took over, swinging through trees and dodging stray bullets.

"We did it!" Eddie shouted in relief.

Not quite. Venom said as Miles missed a branch and fell to the group of scientists. Peter shouted instructions to try to get the kid back up.

Miles took off running but slipped on all of the snow, Eddie crashed into the snow below making a smoke screen. Giving Miles enough of a cover to make a speedy get away.

Peter showed Miles the thwip technique, and he seemed to pick it up fast. They were out of shot for the scientists.

Then Peter and Eddie glitched again. Miles dove for the computer they stole. Venom went unconscious and seeped inside of Eddie as they went crashing down. Dr. Octavius ripped a tree in half, throwing its remains to side.

"Shit." Eddie said looking up at the woman. He couldn't see her eyes, but her smile was full of evil intent. They scrambled away from her death claws. He started climbing up the tree towards Peter.

"Come on. Vee I need you here." Eddie tried waking the symbiote out of their state. A tentacle barely missed him. Eddie let out a very unmanly yell in freight and continued on his way up. If he wasn't going to die from the octopus woman, he would surely have a heart attack. Eddie had never been in control this high up before. Dr. Octavius shot again, this time taking out his next branch. Eddie swayed to regain his balance.

When he thought all hope was lost, the sounds of web shooters were a beacon. A girl in a white Spiderman outfit saved the computer, and shot Dr. Octavius's arms to the tree. She flew from her post, crashing both feet against the other women's jaw. Knocking her straight into the ground below.

"Hey guys." She said, removing her mask to reveal a teenager with an undercut.

"Gwanda?" Miles asked in shock.

"It's Gwen actually." Gwen corrected.

"Oh you know her, nice." Peter said hanging from the web she caught him in.

"Can you help me down?" Eddie asked hopefully.

"Yea." She swung by to Eddie and grabbed him. She swung him down but had to add. "Gosh you're heavy."

"Probably because Venom weighs like 50 pounds." Eddie rolled his eyes. With their name being said Venom stirred in the back of their mind.

Oh now you're awake. Eddie nagged as Gwen dropped him harshly.

"Why are you guys hanging out with Venom? He's like really evil." Gwen asked the boys who got down by themselves.

"We'll explain later. We need to get out of here." Peter said picking up the computer.

"Eddie, what's going on with Venom?" Miles asked.

"We are weak from restoring damaged cells. We are hungry." Venom groaned with his own head.

"Our Peter synthesized a chemical solution that curbed Venom's appetite. We haven't had it in two days." Eddie explained, and they looked sympathetic. The scientists caught up with them, and more bullets shot their way. Eddie gathered their remaining energy to form Venom.

They easily swung away with the Spider people. Landing right on time on the bus they originally came on.

"What incredible timing." Gwen said with a half laugh. She paid for Peter. Miles was generous to pay for Eddie. Eddie sat behind Miles, across from Peter. The bus took off with no sign of scientists.

"That was crazy." Eddie said after they all settled in their seats. "Miles I thought you were supposed to be look out."

"I was, but I couldn't stop worrying about you guys." Miles bit his lip, and glanced at a grumpy Peter Parker.

"That was cool that you could go invisible like that." Eddie grinned, not really caring that the kid broke the rule Peter made. He turned to Gwen and stuck out his hand.

"My name is Eddie. I don't have a Gwen in my universe." She stared at his hand, refusing to touch it. Eddie ran his hand through his hair, trying to play it off. "Okay then."

"This Eddie isn't so bad." Peter said with no emotion, but Eddie wouldn't hide his smile.

"Eddie, Lee, Flash. I don't care who it is, that parasite ruins lives." Gwen glared before turning away.

"We don't like that word." Eddie said calmly, but Venom was devastated and angry. "I especially don't like it because aren't I the only one who gets to decide what Venom is to me?"

"I call it as I see it." She scooted away from them, resting up against the window.

Eddie hummed in acknowledgement, but continued to stare at her.

"What?" She barked.

"Sorry I only answer questions when mine have been answered." Eddie scooted away from her against his own window. "Like Peter, what internet browser do you use on your Earth?"

"Google, everything else is garbage." Peter answered.

"Now that's a man with good taste." Eddie nodded.

"He's literally wearing sweatpants over his spider suit." Miles crinkled his face at Peter's wardrobe.

"I stand by my comment." Eddie gave the man a once over, only lying a little bit.

"Ok, fine." Gwen faced herself towards the aisle. "Venom got into my friend Lee. And something went crazy in him. Like he was possessed, mad with power." Gwen had tears in her eyes. "He was the last friend I had before Venom filled his head with evil. I couldn't save him and I couldn't save Peter."

More sympathetic, Eddie closed the gap between them, legs hanging in the aisle. "We are sorry. But we are not like your friend."

Venom took a chance a formed a small tendril hand to rest on hers. She pulled away at first, but relaxed into the touch.

"Venom is complex. Just because someone can be their host, does not mean they should." Eddie sighed. "Hell I've been Venom for two years now, and I still don't get them sometimes."

"What makes you stay?" Gwen asked sincerely.

Eddie blushed, there were so many answers and 10% was just about their tongue. He could feel his other's amusement.

"Uhhh, love." Eddie finally answered. Peter almost choked, and Eddie turned away from him. The two kids seemed to understand a little better.

"Eddie. Are you fucking Venom?" Peter asked with a serious face.

"Most definitely." Venom answered forming their own head, much to their host's dismay.

"You, shut up." Eddie grabbed them, and tried to shove them back inside. Peter laughed at Eddie's embarrassment. The kids were mortified and went up a couple of rows. Conversing with each other.

"So your universe is full of heroes right?" Peter changed the topic.

"Yea a ton." Eddie shrugged. It seemed like every day Tony was finding strays to turn into Avengers.

"Must be nice." Peter said. "Are there any striking differences between the people here and the people in your dimension?"

"Well, you're a brunette." Eddied answered before adding. "M.J. looks really different here. I didn't even recognize her."

"Really? She looks just like my M.J." Peter said.

"Well for starters M.J. is black." Eddie got out of the way. "Even though she is just a teen, she is scary smart."

"You've met her?" Peter asked.

"Oh yea. She figured out I was Venom after figuring out you were Spiderman. She's a spitfire, and will give you a run for your money. Always calling Peter out, she makes him a better person." Eddie missed home. He loved living in New York. His time in San Francisco was great, but he made a new home in the Avengers.

"Sounds like M.J." Peter smiled. Eddie could tell he was a little sad. "How is Harry?"

"I don't know, Pete has never mentioned a Harry in my dimension. I did some research into this dimension, there is no Harry Osbourne in my dimension." Peter deflated at Eddie's answer.

"Oh." Peter said sadly. "I was hoping, maybe, he got to live too."

"Sorry, Pete." Eddie looked away, letting Peter process. Peter spread out and laid across the bus into Eddie's seat.

Eddie didn't mind and rested his head against the window.

They must have fallen asleep, because he jolted awake when someone shook them. Miles woke him up, and Eddie thanked him. He stretched out his tired muscles.

"This is probably a bad idea." Peter said, leading them off the bus.

"For the last time Peter, we are going." Gwen lead the way down the street. Miles looked at Peter and gave him a sorry-bro shrug.

Where are we going? Eddie asked hoping Venom was paying attention while he slept.

Aunt May's. Venom answered. Eddie missed their voice in their mind. Venom would go radio silent when they were healing him.

Cute. I missed you too.

Eddie felt out of place here. The three spider people lead the way to Aunt May's house. They stopped in front of the house with a Spiderman memorial in the front. Eddie stayed on the side, to let Peter have his moment with his aunt.

"This is a bad idea." Peter tried to leave, but Gwen pulled him back and shot a web at the doorbell. An older woman cracked the door slightly open.

"You guys are really sweet, but.." The bat in her hand crashed down the stairs. "Peter?"

"Hey Aunt May." Peter started. "I know this is going to sound crazy…"

"You're from an alternate dimension." She climbed down the steps and faced her nephew. "You look tired Peter." She closed the distance between them. She put her small hand against his face.

"I am tired." Peter closed his eyes and rested his face in her hand.

"And older," she pulled at his coat. "and thicker."

"Yea I know." Peter covered himself with the coat.

"Oh jeez, are those sweatpants." May continued on her rant.

"Yep," Gwen confirmed."that's what they are."

"I was there when it all happened." Miles went up to May. "I am so sorry."

"And what dimension are you from." May asked him with sad eyes.

"I'm from here." Miles said, and held out the broken USB that helped Eddie find out about Alchemax. "Did Peter have a place where we could make another one of these?"

May held it in her palm. "Oh, a goober."

"You three can follow me, but Venom stays outside." May said in a serious tone. She stared unrelentingly at Eddie. Eddie couldn't help but roll his eyes in annoyance.

"He's cool Aunt May." Peter stepped in for him.

"I don't care." She didn't give him any time to argue, and she picked up her bat. She headed up her stairs. Peter and Miles looked conflicted. Gwen even gave Eddie a sympathetic glance before following the woman up the stairs.

"Aunt May." Peter tried again, but May put her bat into her hand.

"Venom is not allowed back into this house." May threatened.

"We'll be fine." Eddie reassured their new friends. They gave one last sympathetic look and went inside.

"Why do they hate us so much?" Venom formed a head, and sadly wrapped around their host's neck.

"They were hurt by someone who looks like us." Eddie answered. "Kind of how you don't like geese. One bad experience, and you want nothing to do with them anymore."

"That's different, geese are scary." Venom stated matter of factly.

Eddie waited until Venom understood the irony, but it went over their head.

"We are the geese." Eddie sat on May's porch step.

"Don't be stupid Eddie. We are not geese." Eddie's hand dragged down his face when Venom said that, missing the point.

"We scared them so badly, they need distance in order to feel safe. Like how you have a 10 foot perimeter from a goose." Eddie explained in better detail.

"Why did you say it like that Eddie, you know we don't like metaphors." Venom asked, feeling embarrassed at not understanding him.

"Sorry love." Eddie apologized quickly, not wanting to start an argument.

"Then how do we fix it?" Venom asked forming a hand to hold onto Eddie's.

"We can't." Eddie put bluntly. "This Eddie Brock fucked up. We will just have to hope they will help us get home."

"We miss home." Venom whined. "We are sad we didn't get to eat Tony's wedding cake."

Eddie forgot about how Tony ordered an extra chocolate cake with a brownie fudge base.

"We ruined Tony's wedding." Eddie hung his head. "Whole new low. Ruining the richest man on Earth's wedding."

"Still losers." Venom purred.

"Still losers." Eddie hummed in agreement.

"I like weddings. We should have one." Venom eagerly suggested.

"Which one of us would wear the dress?" Eddie joked.

"I could." Venom grew a larger body, but mimicked a dress and veil. It was doing things to Eddie's heart. "But I kinda want a tux."

Venom morphed the dress into a more suit look. Around their neck was a bow tie. That also was doing many things to Eddie.

"Let's do it. When we get back. Let's get married." Eddie

"Really?" Venom shrunk, but faced Eddie head on.

"You know I'm serious. Marry me." Eddie demanded. He would not take no for an answer.

"Of course." Venom surged forward and landed a sloppy kiss, which Eddie happily accepted.

"I know you've wanted one for awhile." Eddie confessed. Venom tilted their head, they had not mentioned wanting to marry Eddie.

"I saw it in our last mind meld. You want a wedding on the tallest building and with white lanterns." Eddie tried picturing the scene he remembered from Venom. Mind melds did not describe things visually, but were more dreamlike and conveyed things through emotions.

"And a balloon arch." Venom added.

"It's got to be a no on the arch. If they all pop we are going to have a serious headache.

"Fine, no arch, but we have to have a chocolate fountain." Venom gave in to no balloons.

"Two if you want it." Eddie joked, but he knew Venom would want it.

The door behind them hits them in the back. Eddie quickly jumps up and out of the way.

"Oh, sorry Eddie." Miles said. His eyes were puffy, and still wet from crying.

"Hey man, are you okay?" Eddie asked, and the boy stepped passed them. Miles continues walking away, but Eddie was already following him.

"There were more Spider people down there, and I failed their tests." Miles kicked a soda can down the street. He used his the back of his sleeve to wipe his tears.

Eddie didn't say anything for a moment as he walked behind the teen.

"You don't have to follow me you know?" Miles turned to face them, keeping his distance from Eddie.

"You've been the nicest one to us." Eddie shrugged. "Honestly it seems creepy to stand out in front of May's house. Someone will call the cops on me."

Miles smiled a little.

"That was messed up what she did." Miles slowed his pace to walk along side Eddie. Eddie shrugged, he was already over it.

"It's messed up that they made you compare yourself to them." Eddie added back.

"One was a cartoon pig." Miles threw his hands up in the air. "I can't even describe him. I have so many questions."

Eddie was somewhat taken aback, but it was nothing compared to his last 48 hours. "How many more were there?"

"Three." Miles listed them off with his fingers. "Noir is black and white. Peni has a giant robot. And Spiderham."

“Hmm.” Eddie hummed. “You shouldn’t compare yourself to them, you know?”

Miles sighed and put his hands into his jacket. He looked at the ground, looking for something to kick. “I don’t know why I am even trying.” He admitted sadly.

“My Peter always said that he was doing it because he knew his uncle would be upset if he knew he wasn’t using his powers for good.” Eddie told Miles. “But I think he just likes the attention.”

“I just got my powers, a few days ago. Then he… he… died, because he went back to save me. I couldn’t do anything then, and I can’t do anything now.” Miles’s voice was thick with emotion. He paused to gather himself. “He asked me to stop the collider, but then I broke the thumbdrive. The one thing I could do to avenge him, and I failed. If Peter and you weren’t here, everyone here would die. I did nothing, I am nothing.”

Eddie was suddenly mad at this world’s Peter. He couldn’t have expected a child to handle something like this so suddenly.

“You are not nothing.” Venom interjected for the first time. Eddie could feel their annoyance. “This guilt you carry is not fair. Peter knew the risks of this job. He shouldn’t have put that responsibility on you so suddenly.”

“Venom is right.” Eddie added.

“I’m always right.” Venom interrupted, earning an eye roll from Eddie.

“You are not the reason Peter died. He knew that. No one blames you.” Eddie added slowly. Miles refused to look up from the ground, trying to hide the new tears streaming down his face. “I’m actually really impressed by you.”

“Why?” Miles asked, voice hoarse.

Eddie smiled at the teen. “I know that if I were in your shoes, well, first I would tie them.” Eddie joked, earning a small laugh from the teen. “Second, I would be a thousand miles away from here. I’m not brave enough to go through everything you’ve been through in the last few days.”

“It’s true, he’s a pussy.” Venom jabbed at their host.

“What I am trying to say is, that even though you may have screwed up, you’re still here. You didn’t run, you tried to fix things. And that really says something about you Miles.” Eddie elaborated. Miles didn’t respond as he ran his sleeve across his eyes again.

They walked in comfortable silence for a moment. Miles was a lot smaller than Eddie originally thought. He was tall for his age, but his shoulders drooped making him look smaller. And he was too skinny for his height.

“So where are we going?” Eddie eventually asked. He was just following the boy afterall.

“My uncle’s apartment. I can’t go back to my parents’ place.” Miles kicked a rock down the sidewalk, only for it to fall into a storm drain. He let out a small exasperated laugh as it tumbled away for good.

“What are you going to tell them?” Eddie asked, he suddenly realised that Miles’s parents were probably worried sick.

“Ask Aaron to cover for me. That’s all I got so far.” Miles admitted. He sounded nervous even thinking about it.

“You’ll figure it out.” Eddie reassured him. Miles smiled at that, and he stopped in front of a tall apartment complex.

"We are here. I appreciate you walking with me. Gave me some perspective." Miles thanked them. His eyes were still a little red from crying earlier. He rushed in for a hug, and Eddie welcomed it.

"No worries Miles. We are going back to the group. See you soon?" Eddie waved the boy off.  Miles climbed up the fire escape like a pro. Not responding if they would see them again. But Eddie knew.

Eddie. You are aware, Queens is like 10 miles away. Venom groaned.

No it's not. Stop being a baby. Eddie turned

They didn't want us there anyway. Besides it's nice. Eddie argued back.

It's freezing. Venom shivered inside, to drive in their point.

Maybe we can find something to do. Eddie looked around trying to find some street names.

We are close to Fisk's hotel, not even four blocks away. Venom mentioned. We could do some reconnaissance.

"Recon, huh?" Eddie asked aloud, but remembered he was in public.

Why not? Shits and giggles?

I was curious what Dr. Octavius meant by being the key. Eddie remembered her odd choice of words.

Recon.

"Okay okay, recon. But only for a little bit." Eddie gave in, but Venom was already leading them the way. Honestly, it didn't seem like a bad idea. He didn't really want to walk back to Aunt May's just to sit on the porch all night. People would think he's a stalker or something.

He hated how people were treating them here. He was getting second hand guilt from something he wasn't even involved in.

His other formed in their hand. They learned long ago that it was a good stress relief for both of them. Venom got a nice massage, and it soothed Eddie's ADHD. Eddie instinctively did familiar circles on them.

Eddie forgot how New York felt in the winter. There was hardly any snow left on the street and roads, melted off by salts. The air was crisp and unforgiving. Eddie's face felt like it was being hit by pins and needles.

Venom made him *hardy. They upgraded his life in so many ways. Physically, Venom made them stronger than ever. Mentally, they were Eddie's rock, best friend, and partner.

Up. Venom snapped him out of his mind. Eddie looked up at Fisk's tower. It reminded him of Trump's tower, but in red.

Venom didn't wait for approval to start climbing the building. The roof was a slanted glass top. Below Eddie could see workers setting up tables and a stage for an event. Fisk was ordering the staff on where to place the podium.

What the hell? Eddie was confused for sure. Are they having a party?

Eddie, look. Venom pointed at the poster that was being lowered behind the podium.

We going to fucking kill him. Eddie growled internally. Behind Fisk was a giant poster of Spiderman.

Slowly. Venom agreed. They watched as the staff put on table clothes and Fisk oversaw the project.

Dr. Octavius came into the room in full octopus arms. She carried a laptop and a couple of graphs. Eddie couldn't hear what they were saying.

Let's try this. Venom pressed their head against the glass and made a cup effect against the glass.

"We just need the symbiote and we can begin." That was the only thing that they heard her say and Eddie wanted to shit bricks. They weren't after them, they wanted Venom. But why?

"Good. You're doing better than expected Liv." Fisk grinned, looking at her chart.

"I have even better news. The little spider boy that stole my computer, the prowler is following him as we speak. He's leading us straight to the symbiote!" She shouted in glee. She wore a large sinister smile.

"I'm coming with. I want to make sure we get them." Fisk said and followed her out of the room.

"Shit!" Eddie yelled and Venom jumped off the building. They swung skyscraper to skyscraper, towards May's house. They have never ran so fast in their life.

Venom receded into Eddie's body. He didn't bother knocking as he ran into May's house. Eddie was glad Miles warned him about the cartoon pig. It was just sitting on the couch next to the noir figure Miles's described. Besides Gwen, stood a giant robot spider with a little girl inside.

"Has anyone heard from Miles?!" Eddie shouted, startling most of them.

"Eddie, what's going on?" Peter was first to his side.

"We went to spy on Fisk, and they are on their way. But Miles…" Eddie was interrupted by a door slamming against him. Miles burst in the door.

"My Uncle!" Miles shouted. "My uncle is the Prowler. He tried to kill me."

"That's one heck of an origin story." Noir commented, earning a punch from Gwen.

"They want me for some reason." Eddie said. "They are coming right now."

Everyone's spider sense tingle just before someone rang the doorbell. Mechanical arms ripped off the doors, and Dr. Octavius came in.

"Cute place." She grew to fill the house. "Real homey."

Aunt may let out a heavy sigh. "Oh great. It's Liv."

"Eddie take the kid!" Peter shouted, and Eddie grabbed onto Miles's arm. He tried to take off out the back door, but a man stone gray in color stood in their way. The man cocked his gun and put it right on Eddie's head.

"You messed up big time kid. Very sloppy." He said. Eddie shielded Miles, as the man pushed through. Another man came behind him in a full metal outfit. He was armed with a metal scorpion tail.

"Would you guys take this outside." May ushered to the door.

"We don't pick the ballroom, we just dance." Noir got into a fighting stance.

"Eddie, what are you doing working with the spider people? That's not like you at all." Liv cocked her head to the side.

"Shut the hell up skank!" Venom yelled over Eddie. Her attention moved from them, and to the replacement thumbdrive hanging from Peter's neck.

"I'll be taking that." She sent her arms flying after it.

Chaos erupted, and Eddie was separated from Miles. Venom covered them quickly, and went after the scientist. She easily dodged, and grabbed them by their leg. She threw them at Peter who was fighting Tombstone.

"We brought someone special to deal with you." She shot another arm, that Venom barely dodged.

A man with flaming red hair and a brilliant white suit came walking through the door less frame. A man Eddie once interview a year ago to kick off his career.

"You brought a Cletus Kassidy to fight us?" Eddie laughed, having the Venom voice. "He's just a psychopath."

"Now that's not something nice to say about your son in law." Cletus said with a wicked grin.

"Carnage!" Peter shouted in shock and horror.

"Carnage is dead!" Venom roared. They mourned their spawn.

"Come on, Dads. Did you forget us so easily?" Carnage formed over Cletus's body. Their voice sounded like if the zombies from Black Ops could talk.

They are trying to mess with us. Don't get distracted. Eddie tries to cool Venom's rage.

"How dare you pretend to be my Carnage!" Venom didn't listen. They charged forward, taking Cletus head on.

Cletus anticipated it. He shot tendrils at them, and jumped into the attack. Venom was unable to dodge a few. One shooting through, cutting Eddie's side.

"There is no pretending Dad." It hissed coolly. "We are going to rip you apart."

Carnage grabbed them, and threw them outside the house. They landed hit after hit as Venom tried to block the repeated onslaught of attacks.

"We've waited a long time for this Dad!" Carnage yelled. "This is so disappointing!"

"Stop calling us dad!" Eddie shouted.

"Would you prefer papi, father, old man?" Carnage taunted. "You abandoned me! I can call you whatever I want when I kill you!"

Carnage kept landing blows. Knocking Venom on their knees. Carnage formed a sword on Cletus's arm. They put it to Eddie's neck, and pulled back to strike.

A loud siren went off. Both symbiotes screamed and retreated into their hosts. It got louder, and Eddie fell to his knees. Venom started to separate from him, and Eddie started choking. Venom integrated themselves into every cell in Eddie's body.

Eddie was going to die. He tried to find some solace in the fact that Venom might live. If Carnage doesn't kill them first. He barely felt the little prick on his shoulder before everything went black.

"I can't believe Eddie ruined my wedding, and now I have to go save his ass." Tony groaned as he typed on his holographic keyboard. Back at his lab, Tony had figured out a way to jump in between dimensions, in a matter of a day. The tricky part was trying to pinpoint his exact location in the infinite multiverse.

"I feel awful." Peter put his head in his hands. His spider sense was going off, but he thought it was because he was standing so close to Eddie. Not a giant wormhole that wanted to deposit him in another universe. Every Avenger was equipped with intergalactic GPS chips. The Guardians spent months putting satellites up. If they were in this universe, they would have found them.

"Don't beat yourself up kid." Tony said as he typed.

"I can't help but think that, that thing was meant for me." Peter confessed. The energy that came from the hole was so familiar.

"Why do you think that?" Tony asked, scrolling through more dimensions.

"Sometimes when I'm with Eddie, my spider sense goes off." Peter said, and Tony dropped his hands to face the teen. "Not in a bad way!"

Peter corrected waving his hands. Tony nodded, and went back to typing. "I don't know how to describe it, but it's like an extension of me?"

"Maybe because Venom absorbed some of you when he healed you." Tony suggested, but an idea struck him.

"Maybe it was supposed to be you." Tony walked up to the teen and plucked some of his hair.

"Ow!" Peter complained.

"Shhh. I figured it out." Tony ran over to his computer and set the hair on a scanner.

"Jarvis, run sweep of universes with multiple sources of Peter Parker's DNA." Tony demanded.

"Certainly, sir." Jarvis loaded through thousands of Earths.

"Why are you looking for more of me?" Peter asked his mentor.

"The wormhole wanted you, but accepted Eddie because you share some DNA. So theoretically there is another universe knows that Peter Parker is Spiderman. Chances are you're not the only Peter Parker they tried to nab." Tony explained. Somehow that made Peter feel worse.

"Scan complete." Jarvis said.

"That was really fast." Tony was shocked.

"This universe has been determined to be the epicenter of the interdimensional disturbance. I can detect six people containing radioactive spider DNA, and two Peter Parker. As well trace Eddie Brock's GPS signal." Jarvis confirmed.

"Program it into the device. Let the Avengers know I am going after Eddie." Tony said and plugged in the little watch he was working on.

"Very well." Jarvis began downloading the programming. Tony went to go grab an Iron Man suit.

"Wait Tony, I should go too. Obviously this world wanted me to go there." Peter asked.

"More reason to why you shouldn't." Tony argued back. Peter deflated and Tony sighed. He rested his hand on the teen's shoulder. "I know you're close to Eddie, but he will be fine."

"I know he will be." Peter said and looked up to his mentor. "I hope you forgive me."

"Huh?"

"Download complete."

Peter was wearing the Iron Spider suit as a bracelet. It also doubled as his web fluid container. He shot out a web to the watch, bringing it to his hand.

"Wait!" Tony shouted in horror as Peter pressed the button.

Peter closed his eyes waiting to feel something. The only thing he felt was a gentle breeze. He peeked his eyes open and he stood in front of a house in Queens. Only this one was in shambles. Spiderman memorabilia was scattered everywhere.

His heart dropped to his stomach. Peter recognized this place. Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and him all lived there before Uncle Ben died. They had to sell to pay all the funeral costs.

There was a loud bang, a gunshot, and a car peeling away from behind him. Peter jumped activating the Iron Spider suit.

He saw another Spider Man carry away another person. Peter was half tempted to follow him, when a giant mechanical man came charging at him.

"KAREN!" Peter yelled, activating his AI.

"Yes Peter?" Karen came to life.

"Taser webs." Peter jumped over the charging man, shooting webs on their back. Karen electrocuted them as Peter threw them over his head and into the ground.

Around him his spider sense was going crazy. A man in gray came running out of May's house. Peter ran after him, when a girl in a white Spiderman outfit landed in front of him. She knocked the perp out, landing flat on his face.

"Oh God, another one?" A Male's voice sounded behind him. Peter turned to face a Spiderman who was wearing sweatpants. But his spider sense told him he was in good company. "Another Peter, or someone else this time?"

Peter figured he could show his face to them, and let the mask shed from his face.

"Hi, um." Peter put a hand to the back of his neck. "I'm looking for my friend."

"Eddie?" The girl asked in slightly shocked.

"Yes!" Peter said enthusiastically. "Have you seen him? One minute he's next to me at a wedding, the next thing I know he's in a hole. Oh gosh, I'm so worried about him. He's been gone for two days and Venom hasn't eaten anything..."

Peter could go on for hours. But stopped mid sentence when he saw a cartoon pig. "Is that a spider pig?"

"Look." The other Spiderman, was clearly not in the mood for narrative. More spider people caught his eye, and it took everything he had not to point it out. "Eddie has been kidnapped. But you missed a lot, and we have to go check on Miles. Make yourself useful until we get back."

"What?" Peter was confused as he looked at the other spider people.

"We will probably not explain later, but we will be back. Help Aunt May clean up this mess." The other Spiderman said as he swung away from the teen. Peter looked amongst the group and they all threw their hands up in pity and swung away.

"I can't believe this." Peter said as he watched them swing away. He was half tempted to follow after them.

"They will be back dear." A raspy but familiar voice said. He turned to face a slightly older Aunt May. She had more pronounced smile lines, and a bit of gray hair.

"What happened?" Peter asked, looking at the damage.

"You want answers, I want a clean house. I think we can work out a deal." May said, gesturing him to follow her inside.

"I haven't been here in so long." Peter said as he looked at the home. He smiled as he remembered sliding down those stairs.

"Why?" May asked shocked.

"We had to sell after Uncle Ben died. You got a job, but it wasn't enough." Peter explained. It wasn't until Mr. Stark took him on as an apprentice until they could start saving again. Peter refused most of Mr. Starks offers, but some he wouldn't take no for an answer.

"That was almost our situation too." May said as she threw out pieces of debris into the backyard. "But my Peter started taking pictures of Spiderman and selling them to newspapers. If I knew back then he was Spiderman, I wouldn't have been so impressed by his photography skills."

"Can I ask?" Peter started. The Spiderman memorabilia out front made his heart clench.

"He's gone. That other Peter. Peter B. Parker, is from a different dimension." She morosely said.

"Before I jumped, Tony told me he there were two Peter Parkers." Peter swallowed the knot in his throat.

"The one in all black is a Peter too. We call him Noir."

"I'm sorry." Peter was empathetic. He couldn't imagine the things she has been through.

"I was prepared for this day to come one day." She turned away from him. With a broken sob she added. "I wasn't prepared for it to come so soon."

Peter didn't hesitate to hug her from behind. She turned and faced him as she cried into his shoulder. He instinctively rubbed soothing circles into her back. He didn't say anything, but didn't pull away.

After a couple of minutes or so she sniffled and pulled away. She ran her sleeve across her eyes.

"Thank you Peter. I haven't cried that much since M.J. told me." May wiped her eyes. "You look just like him when he was your age."

Peter smiled at her. It was weird being almost the same height as her. At home she's got a couple inches on him.

"Let's change the subject." May got back to work. "How did you forgive Venom?"

"Forgive?" Peter was genuinely confused. Eddie and Venom were a close friend and ally.

"After everything it did to you, M.J., me, Harry." She listed like it was obvious.

"I don't know what you mean. You love Eddie, you gave him the recipe for the family secret chocolate mousse pie. I don't know a Harry." Peter was even more confused. Tony had Eddie moved to New York after Thanos, putting him very close to the Parkers. May invited him over for dinner plenty of times.

May look shocked at the young boy, and then down sadly. "You'll have to tell him I'm sorry."

"For?" Peter cocked his head to the side.

"In my universe, Venom tricked and used you. They made you try to kill someone. After it got off of you, and into Eddie, it was pure evil. It went on a killing spree, and then he killed your best friend." May gripped the debris she was holding tighter.

"That's…" Peter couldn't find the words he wanted to string together in a sentence, so he settled on one. "Heavy."

She chuckled a little. "Now I feel like a jerk."

"Eddie won't take it to heart. Venom will." Peter laughed. "I've never met anyone so dramatic before."

He remembered the time he told Venom that the world was running out of cocoa beans, and he flipped out. He didn't know that symbiotes could cry, but Venom lost his mind. Eddie was mad, because it took him three full days to calm Venom down.

"You really like those two, huh?" May asked, handing Peter a broom. All of the big pieces were out in the yard, and Peter started sweeping.

"Venom saved my life." Peter said honestly. "Eddie, he is just really hard not to like."

"I'm glad that you have some allies in your universe. Here, Peter took on all the responsibility of saving the city." May picked up some pieces of glass and threw them in the trash. "I'm glad you're not weighed down by that burden."

"Honestly, me too." Peter said truthfully. He was glad he made friends with people in high places.

"I'm honestly sorry for the new kid." May sighed.

"Miles?" Peter guessed. "That's who the other Peter was going to go see. What's he like?"

"Full of potential." May grinned. "Apparently he can shock people and go invisible."

"Wow," Peter was impressed. "When did he start."

"Yesterday."

"Yikes, he's got a lot to learn." Peter remembered the first months of him being Spiderman. It was really scary at first, and he made a lot of mistakes.

"Tell me about your universe." May asked, so Peter did.

He started from the beginning with the attack on New York, and how that one day changed the world forever. He went on explaining how Thanos sent his minions to Earth, and how he jumped on a spacecraft to go take him on. He talked about Eddie, a lot about Mr. Stark, and M.J.

May would ask questions, and add her Peter's antidotes. He could tell that she missed him terribly. They were cleaning and talking for who knows how long.

Peter's spiderman sense went off, and he heard something land in the front yard. He knew it was the other spider people coming back for him. They all came inside, and the older Peter was first to remove his mask.

Peter B. was scruffier than Peter imagined. His lip was busted, and he was sporting a faded black eye. His eyes were full of sorrow, much older than his body.

"It's time." He said to May, and she opened her arms for a hug. He accepted, having to shrink down to her height. "I'm going to miss you."

"Goodbye Peter." May said, giving him a final squeeze.

"Alright kid," Peter B looked at the younger version of himself. "Let's go save Eddie."

"Great, I've already tracked his position. He's at this hotel on Main St." Peter had Karen run a GPS check on Eddie. Luckily she was able to hack into their satellites on this universe to search for Eddie's signal.

"Perfect." Peter B. Lead the way out the door.

"I'm coming Eddie." Peter said as he followed the group.

---

Eddie woke up to fluorescent lights and bleach. He was trapped inside a cylindrical cage. He groaned and put his back against the wall of the cage.

Fuck. Eddie thought, unsure if it was to Venom or himself. He tried to remember what had happened before he got there, but his head hurt.

Aunt May, Miles, KingPin… Carnage. Panic set in, he put a hand to his chest feeling for Venom.

Here, just weak. Must tell you something. Venom whimpered in his thoughts.

Save your energy. It can wait. Eddie told his other.

Can't wait Eddie. Venom insisted.

Dr. Octavius and KingPin walked into the room.

"Oh good, you're awake." She grinned as she approached the glass wall.

"Soon Venom will be stressed enough to release their spawn early." She said to KingPin, showing him something on a screen Eddie couldn't see.

"What do you mean?" Eddie asked aloud to her.

"Your symbiote is carrying a spawn right now. We got an X-Ray when you walked into Alchemax." She typed some stuff on the computer, not looking at Eddie.

Is it true? Eddie asked.

Yes. Found out two weeks ago. We wanted to tell you when we got back. Venom thought back shamefully.

"Then what do you want with us?"

"We don't want you." Kingpin said for Dr. Octavius. "We want your spawn."

Venom let out a deep growl. Lower than Eddie has ever heard.

"You will not touch them." Eddie growled with Venom.

"You don't have a choice. Carnage has already offered up their spawn, all we need is yours." Kingpin lowered himself to Eddie's level.

"Why?" Eddie asked, still furious.

"They will act as a stabilizer after we use the collider." Dr. Octavius provided. Her glasses shone from the backlight of her computer.

"Well that won't work." Eddie laughed. "You don't think Venom would have stabilized me if they would?"

"Your spawn has been developing in our dimension, once it's born here, it can never go back to your dimension." Dr. Octavius said without a care, and then added. "Just like you."

She hit a button that played an annoying high pitched noise. Just below a frequency that really hurt.

"We don't want to over stress the subject. Symbiotes will reabsorb their spawn if pushed too far. We just want them to spawn early." Dr. Octavius said as she and Kingpin left.

Eddie tried covering his ears. It was a jarring noise. It wasn't high enough to make them separate, but it was giving Eddie a massive headache.

I'm sorry Eddie. Venom apologized. They sounded far away. Eddie wanted to respond in his mind, but he couldn't think over the siren.

"You're okay Vee. Spiderman is on their way. We'll be fine." Eddie said, however wasn't sure he believed it. "I thought you weren't due to spawn for another year."

Eddie knew that being with Venom would mean that they would have kids. And honestly he was looking forward to being a dad.

I don't know. Venom answered honestly.

"We will use protection from here on out." Eddie joked as he laid on the floor of his jail. Venom wrapped around his heart, trying to comfort him.

Eddie felt the Earth beneath them shake. Even though he hadn't eaten in hours, Eddie felt like he was going to blow chunks. They must have started the collider.

"Eddie!" A voice shouted. Eddie shot up, never expecting to hear that voice here.

"Pete!" Eddie was on his feet. When he took his hands from his ears he almost fell back down in pain. "Get us out!"

"Right." Peter tried mashing buttons on the computer.

"Look what we have here." Cletus leaned against the lab entrance door frame. "Your Spiderman is a Spider-brat."

"Watch out Pete." Eddie warned. "He has a symbiote."

"You don't have to spoil all the fun." Carnage took over and sprung at Peter. Peter dodged easily, shooting webs like bullets. They just bounced off Carnage like nothing.

"Shit." The teen couldn't help but say, but quickly changed tactics. When he landed, he tried to sweep out Carnage's legs. But they were quick to jump over them.

Carnage used their tendrils to grab lab equipment to throw at the teen. Peter was able to block or dodge most of the oncoming attacks. A stapler nailed him in the forehead. The distraction was all Carnage needed to pick up Spiderman. They threw him against the cage holding Eddie, cracking some of the glass.

Venom shot out a sharp tendril, striking the crack. The glass around them shattered, and the siren stopped. Eddie grinned as he sat up in his open cage. Venom flowed out of him, they were still weak from the siren and hunger. But they still had a few fights left in them.

With a roar, they charged at the other symbiote. Venom’s tendrils grabbed onto a desk as Eddie’s fist collided with their face. Carnage stumbled back from the blow. Venom slammed the desk into their side, sending them flying into a wall.

“Are you ok?” Venom asked Peter who was already by their side ready to fight.

“Better now that you’re out.” Peter answered, and they could hear the grin in the teens voice.

“How are you even here?” They asked, not that they weren’t grateful, but the logistics were over his head.

“Tony.” Peter answered. And that explained everything. They didn’t have time to get into details. Carnage emerged from the hole in the wall. Tendrils shooting out from all around them. With a horrible screech they charged at Venom.

They barely had time to brace as Carnage charged them. Their razor sharp tendrils wildly swiping at them, cutting through Venom’s skin, cutting into Eddie underneath. Venom rolled onto his back, using Carnage’s momentum to throw them behind them.

“I got an idea, distract them.” Peter said, and ran off the other direction.

Carnage tried to shoot a tendril at the fleeing hero. Venom grabbed it, and swung it over their head, causing the other symbiote to fly.

Unfortunately Carnage was able to use this to their advantage. They corrected their course to round-house kick Venom in the face.

“We are going to tear off every single limb off that spider you care so much about.” Carnage hissed as they ran towards the downed symbiote.

“Unlikely.” Peter said above them, holding onto a giant container of some sort. He quickly undid the cap, and steaming liquid fell onto the symbiote.

“Fuck!” Carnage screamed as the liquid hit them. They tried to run out out of it’s path, but they froze in place.

“Liquid nitrogen.” Peter said as he threw the container to the side. He rushed over to his friends, and gave them a hand up. Venom pulled the hero into a hug.

“Thank you Peter.” They said together. Peter pulled away when the ground below them began to shake.

“Don’t thank me yet. We still have a multiverse to save.”

“Lead the way.”

Peter ran ahead, and Venom was hot on his tail. Scientists were running out from every room, and they didn’t even try to stop the intruders. Peter turned the corner, and ran to the lab at the end of the hall.

“Holy shit” Eddie wasn’t sure if he or Venom had said it, but holy shit was an understatement. Skyscrapers shot out of a swirling vortex of color. More and more buildings began to shoot out of the center, it was the most beautiful scary thing he had ever seen. Well, second most beautiful scary thing.

A cop was the only one in the room, watching everything unfold before him. He watched in awe as the spider people fought against Dr. Octavius.

“Officer, it’s not safe here. You have to go!” Peter shouted at him, and the cop turned to face the young hero. When he saw Venom standing behind him, he drew his gun at him.

“Woah there! He’s with me!” Peter shouted and stood in front of Venom. Peter turned to face Venom. “You really pissed off a lot of people here didn’t you?”

“We aim to please.” Eddie said sarcastically, but he was watching the gang of spider people fight. Dr. Octavius had Peter B. all tied up, when an invisible force punched her in the face.

“That’s it kid!” Eddie shouted in joy. Venom charged past the cop and Peter, who was still trying to get the officer to evacuate. But gave up after a few moments.

“Eddie!” Miles shouted back as Venom jumped from building to building to get up there. “Did you see what I did?!”

“Yes, and it was amazing. We are so proud of you! Also, like the new suit.” Eddie complimented him.

“Made it myself.” Miles boasted.

“Eddie, Venom. I am glad I got to meet you.” Peter B. gave a warm smile at the couple.

“Us too Peter.” Venom pulled back so Eddie could smile back at the man.

“Guys! I’ve got control of the beam. Get over here!” Miles shouted, and all the spider people came up to the ceiling. Eddie’s Peter, landed beside him.

“You guys are invited to our wedding.” Venom said and covered Eddie’s face.

Peter gasped. “You’re getting married! I am so excited. Can I help you plan?”

“We will talk about it later Pete.”

“You’re up first guys.” Miles pulled Venom in for a final hug for pressing a button on the machine. The colors began to change into a red and black mix. “I’m going to miss you.”

“Us too.” Venom said sadly.

“Ready Eddie?” Peter asked, putting a hand on Eddie’s shoulder. Eddie nodded and let go of the ceiling. They both waved as they fell into the portal.

Eddie and Peter tumbled out of the portal, crashing into Tony’s lab. They both laughed as they sat up.

“Jesus!” Tony jumped in surprise. “I’m in my heart attack years!”

“Mr. Stark. I am so sorry.” Peter started on his damage control, and Eddie just laid on the floor. Too exhausted to move.

Tony didn’t say anything, but pulled the kid into a hug. “Don’t ever do anything like that again. You hear me?”

“No, Mr. Stark. Never!” Peter said, but Eddie could feel like that was a lie.

“And you! You ruined my wedding.” Tony let go of the kid and pointed at him.

Eddie waved at him from the ground. “We aim to please. Do you got any food? We are starving.”

Tony rolled his eyes at them. “Of course you are.”

“You would be too, if you were eating for two.” Eddie stomach growled loudly at the thought of food.

Tony and Peter stared at them. Tony’s jaw dropped and Peter let a squeal.

“No way. It’s too soon.” Tony had to sit down from the shock. “We aren’t ready.”

“I know. But it is time for operation Sleeper.” Eddie rolled on his side and closed his eyes. Letting himself drift out of consciousness. Tony and Peter gave a look at each other and Peter shrugged his shoulders. They would have all day tomorrow to figure out what they were going to do. Peter picked up his friend and threw them over his shoulder, taking him to the guest bedroom.

Tony put his head in his hand. How was he supposed to be a Godfather to a baby symbiote?
