Life hasn't been easy for Y/N L/N. Born into a traditionalist pack she was raised to believe her sub-gender made her a second class citizen. During her time in their home she was subjected to verbal and physical abuse, all of which she endured until she turned 16. After witnessing the death of her mother she reported the group to the authorities, resulting in the arrests of it's leaders, and the placement of it's children in child protective services.
Y/N made use of the outside world's progression, earning her high school diploma and finding work at a local bookstore as well as a cozy apartment to call home. She finally feels like her life is her own, until the onset of her first heat leads to a violent assault at the hands of men who behave just as the authority figures of her childhood, turning it upside down.
Left for dead in the rain she is picked up by two kind medical personnel who bring her home to their pack.
