Wayworn - Mean Team

Summary:

While Gibbs vacations in Mexico, Tony struggles and what happens when Gibbs comes back?

Another dictionary.com word of the day drabble. This time from 12/02/2002 for the word wayworn.

Work Text:

Tony hated feeling this way, being team lead should be something to celebrate, not something to dread. Unfortunately, Ziva and McGee had made it more than obvious how little they respected him. They were being more than mean.

They were being downright cruel. Tony half wanted to take a trip to Mexico himself. At least, then he’d have a reason to feel so wayworn. Not that he didn’t have a reason now, but he was supposed to be the one that let things roll off his back; that didn’t let them get to him.

Between Jenny, Gibbs, Ziva, McGee, Abby, and Ducky, though, he was getting worn to a thread. He was barely holding on and that didn’t count Ms. Benoit that he was supposed to be seducing in his “free time”. By this point in time, he hoped Gibbs came back simply so that he could have a break from the stress that his leaving caused.

Of course, when Gibbs did come back all he did was dump Tony’s stuff on his own desk. Needless to say that was not the relief from stress that Tony was looking for and only made him feel more wayworn.

Notes:

The dictionary.com series has 12 stories already written for it after this one, so I will be posting at least 12 stories before I stop posting again. I'm hoping to get more stories written before then, so that I don't stop posting for a while. Wish me luck!
