Chapter 1
Summary:
“Is that a….” Taehyung begins to which Jimin nods. “Are you…” Another nod. This time much slower, hesitant. Jimin didn’t want to answer the question. Figured Taehyung would have picked it up and read it. “You’re pregnant, Jimin?”
Notes:
So, first off hello welcome to the story. I hope you enjoy it and thank you to the commissioner for being so patient with me. I hope I did this some good.
Second, it’s in the tags but I’ll address this here as well. Everyone is over the age of 20 in this story. There’s no underage relationships. Jimin is in college and 22 years old.
Third, if there are any more tags I think of while this story is progressing I will add them but if you see I’m missing one please comment below so I can add it.
Thank you and enjoy :)

Chapter Text
Jimin was never much of a party person. Instead, he preferred staying inside reading textbooks, doing his homework, or studying. He was someone who cared more about schooling than what was happening at those parties with drinks or the drugs that were being passed around so that no one remembered what happened in the morning. To Jimin, grades were everything. Knowledge was everything.
There was always going to be time after he finished college for him to party. After all, he was only twenty-two he had a long way to go before he hit the age where partying wasn’t cool anymore. He could wait until after school had passed before he decides to stay out until three in the morning chugging alcohol after alcohol.
Though sometimes during the summer, he would party though it was after his best friend Taehyung convinced him. But even then it was rare. And now summer was ending. Their last year of college was upon them and Taehyung managed to convince Jimin that they should have fun one last time before Jimin stuffed his face in a book again.
And it was great. The entire night was great. But one drink turned into two. And two turned into three until Jimin lost count of how many he had.
Jimin was never much of a party person.
And now looking down at the pregnancy test he had been so reluctant about buying he regrets ever being convinced by Taehyung weeks ago.
He has to cover his mouth with his hand as he stares at the two lines indicating that he is indeed pregnant. For the past few days, Jimin has been sick. Throwing up whenever he felt nauseous, not wanting to move and even craving weird things. But it didn’t make sense to Jimin and pregnancy was the last thing to cross his mind.
He probably wouldn’t have even thought about it if it wasn’t for Taehyung mentioning that it could be possible since they went to that party. And as much as Jimin hated to admit it he and the other guy - whose name he never got, or if he did doesn’t remember - did sleep together that night. Too intoxicated to care about simple things like a condom. He remembers the Alpha smelling like Vanilla and that alone being something that caught Jimin’s attention but he can’t remember the important things like his name or even getting his number. He can’t call and scream that he’s pregnant. He can’t-
A sob echoes through the bathroom as Jimin lowers himself down to the ground carrying the pregnancy test with him. He doesn’t want it to be true. Doesn’t want to be pregnant. This wasn’t planned. Maybe in years to come but not now. Not while he was about to start his last year of college and get his degree after years of working on it. He couldn’t let all that work be ruined because of this.
He was expecting to worry about studying for hours on end until looking at a book hurt his eyes so much that he had to drag himself to bed and get a few hours of sleep. He was supposed to worry about homework. Making sure he understood the lessons and did everything without forgetting something because the teachers always assign way too much for you to do. Making sure that he took all the notes and memorized everything the teacher taught them in case they had a pop quiz, or maybe he’d be selected in class to answer one of the questions on the board.
He wasn’t expecting to have to worry about if he’s eating enough for the child. If he’s sleeping enough. Getting the right vitamins, right vegetables, amount of exercise. He wasn’t expecting to have to change his whole schedule because there’s a baby inside of him that he didn’t even want.
What was he supposed to do? How was he supposed to tell anyone? How would he tell Taehyung? Seokjin? His two roommates, best friends, what if they yelled at him? What if they...what if they kicked him out because they don’t want to deal with a baby in the apartment? What would Jimin do if he was homeless? If he had nowhere to go. Would he become a college dropout? How would he explain that to his parents? The golden child dropping out because he got pregnant. That would go so well.
Jimin truly has no clue what to do for the first time in his life.
There’s a knock sounding at the door. Quiet at first - almost hesitant as if they don’t actually want to be knocking in the first place. Jimin’s breath hitches in his throat, tears falling silently down his cheeks as he lifts his head from where his eyes have been glued to the test stick towards where the sound came from. There’s a whimper that escapes him before he can stop it. Before he can try to collect himself into a non-crying mess.
He doesn’t want anyone else in the bathroom. Doesn’t want to be seen crying. Doesn’t want the test to be shown to anyone. Doesn’t want anyone to know about what’s happened. He wants to be alone. But he doesn’t at the same time. He wants to be told that everything will be okay and that he doesn’t need to cry because they’re here for him. He wants to be told that maybe this is scary but he’s not alone.
The knock comes again - louder this time - as if the person on the opposite side knows something is wrong. As if they heard Jimin’s sobs and are trying to console him. The door is locked from the inside though, and Jimin still doesn’t know whether he wants anyone in or not yet. Does he want to be alone or no? Does he want to deal with this himself? Stay curled up on the floor crying over something that’s already happened?
He knows he’ll have to tell them eventually. He knows that he needs to as their roommate. As his best friends, they need to know. But he’s scared. Scared of rejection. Of being turned away. But Taehyung is the one who suggested it. The one who mentioned that he should buy a test. He wouldn’t turn him away would he?
“Minnie,” Taehyung’s voice comes from the outside. The deep baritone is soft and quiet. Almost like he’s walking on eggshells. Like he’s afraid if he speaks louder Jimin might crack while he’s locked out. “I can...we can hear you crying...please let me in. We’re here for you Minnie. We just want to make sure you’re okay.”
Jimin shakes his head, pushes his body up from where he curled into himself and moves closer towards the tub. Allows the coolness of the surface on his back to try and soothe him. He brings his hands up to his face and sets down the test. He doesn’t want to look at it anymore. Doesn’t want to be reminded of its presence.
Maybe if he stops looking at it he’ll forget it’s even a thing and he’ll be able to go in with his day. He’ll be able to lay back down and enjoy the last few days of his break before classes begin.
Shit. His classes.
What is he supposed to do about those? He can’t just go to class as an unmated pregnant Omega. Everyone will try to go for him. Try to court him and he’s very much not looking for anyone right now. Shit. He didn’t even think about that. Too involved with crying that he forgot about the most important thing to him.
What is he going to do once he starts showing? He can’t just say “Yeah, I went to a party this summer and got knocked up by a random Alpha.” That’s the last thing he would do. And even then he probably wouldn’t do that.
He’s a mixture of anger, sadness, and frustration. Angry with himself for letting this happen. Sad because there’s a living child inside him that he doesn’t want. And frustrated because this is already ruining him and his future.
“Jimin, please.” Taehyung’s voice comes again. He had forgotten the younger was there waiting by the door in hopes Jimin would open it. “As your best friend, you can talk to me about anything. You know that. So please, open up. Even if you don’t want to talk I just want to hold you.”
There’s desperation in Taehyung’s voice Jimin notices as he finishes his last sentence. And part of Jimin feels guilty for keeping Taehyung in the dark when he’s always been here for him. When Taehyung has been through every little thing. Be it a break-up, or a small injury which had Jimin crying because he isn’t good with the pain. Taehyung has been there for everything during the past twenty somewhat years. They’ve been stuck like glue ever since they were toddlers. Growing up in the same neighborhood, always having the same classes and even now doing the same major. Taehyung has always been there.
Even now.
It takes Jimin a few moments. A few more minutes to collect himself as best as he can. Brushes his hair back with his hands. Wipes at his eyes to get rid of any tears that threaten to fall. But he knows Taehyung will notice them anyways. Knows that Taehyung is still going to worry even if he acts fine because that’s just the younger Omega’s nature.
Jimin picks up the pregnancy test. Sets in on the counter and glances in the mirror. He looks like a mess. Bloodshot eyes and swollen lips. He looks like he’s just gone through a bad break-up and is in need of a jug of ice cream. But that’s far from the truth and ice cream isn’t enough to fix anything this time.
He unlocks the door. Inhales a breath and opens it slowly, eyes downcast to avoid contact with Taehyung. He’s not ready to meet his eyes. Not yet. He knows if he does he’ll break down again if he doesn’t when Taehyung sees the results.
Almost immediately Taehyung’s arms are circling around Jimin’s waist pulling him in for a tight hug. One of Jimin’s favorites - when he feels so safe in Taehyung’s arms that he feels he doesn’t need to worry so much. Because with Taehyung, things get better.
Taehyung is Jimin’s therapy.
“What happened Minnie?” Taehyung asks quietly, head resting on Jimin’s shoulder. “Why are you crying?”
Jimin doesn’t respond. Buries his face in Taehyung’s neck and waits. He knows the Omega will see it soon. He knows that when he does he might cry again so he just stays put. Tried to calm himself down and maybe just maybe he wouldn’t break again.
He can feel the warmth from Taehyung. Warm and inviting. Sometimes when Jimin is cold he’ll just cuddle with the younger until Seokjin yells at him for stealing his boyfriend. It’s soothing. To have Taehyung right here in his arms. To be comforted by the younger even if he hasn’t figured out what caused the whole ordeal to break out.
A hand makes its way up to the back of Jimin’s head, running through his hair as another means to calm him down as Taehyung takes in the silence that follows his questions. But Jimin knows when Taehyung spots the test because the same hand stops moving and Taehyung basically freezes.
“Is that a….” Taehyung begins to which Jimin nods. “Are you…” Another nod. This time much slower, hesitant. Jimin didn’t want to answer the question. Figured Taehyung would have picked it up and read it. “You’re pregnant, Jimin?”
A small whimper leaves Jimin at that question. The words being spoken into reality. Taehyung seems to take that as a hint as he brings both hands down and picks Jimin up to carry him towards the couches.
“It’s okay Minnie.” Taehyung whispers as he sets Jimin down on the soft dark blue surface, and plops down next to him. “Hey, look at me.”
Slowly and reluctantly Jimin looks up at Taehyung. He can already feel the pool of tears ready to form and fall down his cheeks as their eyes are locked together. But he tries to will them away. Tries to be strong during this.
“I know this isn’t what you wanted. It wasn’t what you planned Minnie. I know that. But trust me, Jinnie and I will be here for you the entire time. We’ll help you take care of the baby, help you take care of yourself. You’re not alone in this Min. Never have been and never will be.” Taehyung begins, reaching out and taking Jimin’s hands into his own. He squeezes them reassuringly.
“I feel alone,” Jimin speaks softly. “I don’t know the father’s name. I don’t even have his number. How am I supposed to tell him? How am I supposed to find him? I-I...what about school Tae? Am I supposed to drop out now? Quit during my last year?”
Taehyung shakes his head. “No. Minnie, people go to classes regardless of if their pregnant or not. You don’t have to stop your education because of this. You can still go. And honestly, it’s good that you do. You worked so hard, spent years preparing for this. The baby is just a minor thing...well, major, but you get what I mean. You can still attend classes even while pregnant. And if it makes you feel better I’ll have Jin pick up some suppressants to mask your scent so others don’t know for a while, okay?”
Jimin nods his head slowly. Takes in everything Taehyung says to him. Even knowing he can still go to school...he struggles with that. Struggles with knowing that he’ll be there pregnant. That the suppressants can only hide so much until he starts showing. Then people will talk.
“Do you…” Taehyung bites his lower lip as he looks down at Jimin’s stomach for a second. “Do you want the baby? Or-“
“I don’t know yet Tae.” Jimin cuts him off before he’s allowed to finish the sentence. “I just...I don’t know. I don’t want to hurt the baby, you know? But at the same time I’m not ready to be a dad and I-I...I don’t know. I need time to think about this. Just...have Jin buy some suppressants for now I guess.” Jimin shakes his head as he moves to stand up. “I’m going to lay down for a bit. Join me? I could use some of your cuddles.”
Taehyung nods his head, and stands from the couch as well. “My cuddles are always available for you, Minnie.”
Jimin smiles. The first time since he learned the news as he walks towards his bedroom. “Thank you.”

Chapter Text
Classes start in a blink of an eye. It feels like only yesterday summer began and he fucked everything up for himself and now classes have come back to haunt him.
But he doesn’t go.
He misses the first day and the following two, ruining his perfect attendance.
But Jimin doesn’t care about that anymore. Doesn’t care that his phone has constantly been ringing with calls from the school probably having hundreds of questions as to why he’s missed classes. Doesn’t care that eventually his parents are going to call and ask him how his first few days have gone only for Jimin to either lie and say that they were great. Or tell the truth that he hasn’t attended yet. He doesn’t care that these first few days are crucial to him gaining his degree at the end of the year.
Jimin doesn’t care about school right now even though he knows he should. He knows that he shouldn’t be letting this stop him from attending but he can’t bring himself to even leave his bed unless it’s to use the restroom or shower. It’s even gotten to the point where Taehyung and Seokjin have to bring his food to the bedroom or else he won’t bother to eat anything.
All he’s doing is sulking in his misery. Grieving over the death of his future.
He wondered how long they would let him sulk like that. Wondered how long Taehyung and Seokjin would continue bringing him food while he just laid in bed sleeping or staring at the ceiling. Wondered why they haven’t come in to talk to him. Come in to try and make him feel better. Remind him that his life isn’t over.
He wonders if they gave up on him.
But just as soon as those thoughts cross his mind they leave.
It’s Jimin’s fourth day of staying in his room. Trying to hide away from reality. From the truth. When Taehyung comes in carrying another tray of food that Jin had probably prepared for him. They always did love when Jin cooked for them.
But unlike all the other times, Taehyung doesn’t drop off the food, ask if Jimin needs anything else and leaves. No. Instead, he sets the tray of food down on the nightstand for Jimin to see there are two servings there. One for him, and one for Taehyung.
Taehyung plans on staying this time.
It takes Jimin a few seconds to come to that realization though. But when he does he’s almost immediately sitting up, feeling a bit better at knowing Taehyung would be there this time. He extends his hands out for when Taehyung picks up his serving and passes it over. Takes it with a small smile and scoots over a bit so Taehyung could have more room on his little twin-sized bed.
It was a tight fit but they made it work. They always did.
“I’m sorry.” Are the first words to be spoken as Jimin lifts up the chopsticks Taehyung passed him and began digging into his rice. The first words he’s heard in a while that aren’t ‘are you hungry?’, or ‘do you need anything?’.
Jimin turns his head slowly to look at Taehyung. Head tilted slightly to the side as he chews on the rice. He doesn’t know what the younger Omega is apologetic for. Only waits instead for Tae to continue if he wishes to.
“I said I would be here.” Taehyung does continue. “Said that you wouldn’t be alone for any of this and the last few days you were. It was just you. Jin and I...we didn’t do anything besides bring you food. We didn’t ask if you were okay. Or how you were dealing with everything. I-I mean...you missed school, Jimin. And you never miss school. I should have realized this was affecting you worse than I thought but I didn’t.”
Jimin inhales a breath, sets down the chopsticks and rice on the nightstand and turns his body so that he’s facing the younger now. He shakes his head at Taehyung’s words.
“It’s not your fault,” Jimin says slowly, watching as Taehyung too set his food down so they could talk to each other. “I...I don’t know. I don’t know how I’m handling this. I’m frustrated still. Angry with myself. Upset for letting this happen. But I’m not angry or mad at you and Jin. You two helped a lot. You fed me. Kept me and the baby full of delicious food. If you hadn’t...I probably wouldn’t have eaten at all honestly.”
“But I still could have been here more. You know? I’m your roommate, your best friend. I could have cuddled you, held you, just ran my hand through your hair and tell you everything will be alright.” Taehyung urges, reaching out to take Jimin’s hand in his own. “I know you’re scared Jimin. Terrified honestly about what’s happening. I know that. And when I say things will be alright I mean it. A-and I know I haven’t been here for you much yet. But I will be. I’ll be here throughout the entire thing. But Jimin…”
“But Jimin what?” The Omega asks, bringing his other hand up to run it through his own hair. Brushes back the brown locks only for them to fall into his face once again. He lets out a small huff of defeat at that.
“But Jimin...you can’t skip school. Can’t lose your chance to gain your degree. After so many years it isn’t time to quit. It never is, never was. So please, come to school. I’ll be with you every step of the way, Minnie. I promise.”
Jimin sighs. He looks away towards the window behind his bed. The curtains are up, probably something Taehyung or Jin did when they came in earlier in the day. But he can see the way the sun sets. Can see the way there are clouds moving to cover it before night blooms over the sky.
A frown forms on his face. He knows he needs to go. Knows Taehyung will be there for him. But what about the others? What about the people there? The students? Once they see Jimin pregnant won’t they talk? They would, right? He doesn’t know if it’s worth it.
“Please, Jimin.” The younger Omega pleads, bringing Jimin’s attention back. Almost like a slap to the face. “Think about your future. If you have your degree, getting a well-paying job will be easier. Having your degree you can be confident in yourself when you tell your child one day that you graduated from an amazing college. Would you rather say you’re a dropout?” Jimin shakes his head no. “Then, please. I’ll be there. And you know if anyone says anything Jin and I will beat them.”
Jimin laughs dryly, shaking his head. “If you beat someone you’ll be kicked from campus. Then I will be alone.”
“Okay. You have a point. Jin will kick their ass then and I’ll record it for you.” That brings out a laugh from both of them. Then Taehyung squeezes Jimin’s hand. “I’ll be here for you, Minnie. Every step of the way. So let’s go to class tomorrow and get you that degree at the end of the year, okay?”
He thinks about it for a moment. Silence looming over them. Taehyung has a point. He can’t stop his life, his future, because of this. Just because he’s pregnant doesn’t mean everything is over. It’s just another thing that shows he’s growing up. That shows that he’s not a little kid anymore. He’s a full grown-up now.
And he will get that degree and have his child.
“Yeah.” Jimin nods his head, a small smile forming on his face. He doesn’t miss the way a bigger and brighter one forms on Taehyung’s face. “Let’s go to class tomorrow.”
***
One thing Jimin loves about their campus is how huge it is. Granted, running to his classes with barely thirty seconds to spare wasn’t always fun. But nonetheless, the campus was huge, spacious, and gorgeous. With colours of cream, rose and gold it was hard not to like. Plus, the sunset from was always a sight to see. Pictures always looked amazing especially if you took them in front of the fountain.
Even though Jimin happily agreed to return to class with Taehyung he couldn’t help the nervous feeling piling in his stomach the closer he got to his first class. Would everybody stare at him once they learn he’s finally returned? Would they ask him why he was gone in the first place? What would he say if they did? Maybe he could make an excuse that he was on vacation and he didn’t get back home until last night? Maybe that would work. Maybe it wouldn’t. He just hoped no one would even bother to question him.
It was a bit comforting though, to remember that was on suppressants after Jin had bought them when Taehyung informed him of the news. To not have to worry about others learning of his pregnancy until he begins to show was maybe enough time for him to stop caring what other people decided to think anyways. And it also helped that Taehyung was naturally all over him like always. Always the touchy-feeling Omega that he was became something that comforted Jimin when he was nervous or anxious about something.
“I think you’ll like our professor,” Taehyung says, wrapping an arm around Jimin’s shoulder as they walk closer towards the East Building where the first of their classes took place thankfully. Jimin was definitely not in the mood to run just to make it to his class. “He’s new. But he’s around our age, and really hot.”
“Taehyung.” Jimin shines, shrugging off the other’s shoulder. “You have a boyfriend. You shouldn’t be gawking over another person.”
“I can look but not touch,” Taehyung replies with a click of his tongue. “It’s like when your mom says you can get one candy bar so you pick one you really like but then see another one so you stare at it but can’t get it. You know?”
“Did you just relate Jin to a candy bar?”
“We both know if he were here right now he would say something like ‘We know I’m delicious.’ Or ‘No one can help but stare at me.’ I don’t think he would have cared honestly.” Taehyung barks out a laugh, opening the front door to let Jimin into the hallway. “Anyways. My point is, he’s just hot. But not hot enough to the point I would break up with Jin for. Jin definitely is the hottest person I know.”
“Excuse you? I’m supposed to be the hottest person you know.”
“Okay okay. You’re the hottest person I know. But if Jin asks it’s him, deal?”
“Sure thing Tae.”
“Who knows. Maybe you and Mr. Professor could hook up.” Taehyung teases.
Jimin tenses at that. He stops walking and turns to Taehyung with a frown on his face. “You shouldn’t joke about that, Tae. No one is going to want a pregnant Omega. Especially if the child isn’t theirs.”
Taehyung stops too turning back to look at Jimin with a small frown. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking. I just thought maybe if you had someone to be their for you in a way Jin and I can’t...things would be easier.”
“It would be easier if I could find the father of my child.” Jimin replies, walking towards the classroom once again with Taehyung following beside him. “If I find him then things will be easier. But I don't know anything except what he looks like.”
“Maybe we can go to the person who threw the party and ask if they know?” Taehyung offers. “They should, right?”
“Not necessarily.” Jimin sighs, “People learn about parties and spread the news around. There’s a chance half of those people don’t even go here. I don’t think we would have much luck there.”
Taehyung frowns but nods his head hurrying forward a bit so he could open the door for them to go inside the classroom. Jimin offers him a small smile of gratitude as he waits, stopping near the doorway.
As he enters walks into the room, a small thank you rolling off his tongue he takes notice of the dark red haired male standing in front of the classroom writing on the door. He stops halfway into the room trying to catch a better glimpse at him. For some reason the red hair is familiar. But maybe he’s crazy.
“Jimin, are you okay?” Taehyung asks, voice laced with confusion behind him.
The male in the front perks up at that, and turns his head to look in their direction. “Jimin?” The guy repeats.
Jimin’s breath hitches as he takes in the appearance of the other.
“Oh fuck.” Jimin breathes out, taking a step back. And another one and another one until he’s nowhere near the doorway. Until Taehyung is staring at him with wide eyes filled with confusion and the other male is standing there wondering what he did wrong.
But Jimin knows.
His professor is the guy he slept with.
His professor is his baby daddy.

Chapter Text
“Jimin?” He can hear Taehyung call as he takes steps further and further away from the door. He can’t be there right now. Can’t stand to be in that classroom. Can’t stand to be in front of the teacher. The Professor. The father to his child. He can’t do this.
Coming to class was the worst mistake of his life right now.
He feels sick to his stomach thinking about how he slept with his professor. But at the time he didn’t know that. Hell, he still doesn’t even know his name. Just knows him as his baby daddy that he was worried about not finding. He never expected to find him here of all places.
Or sure, he had thought he would find him here. Prayed that he would because it would make it easier for him to tell them. But he thought they would be a student. Not the fucking teacher.
Could his luck get any worse?
He can hear Taehyung call his name again, along with the professor. And damn, why does it have to roll off his tongue so nicely? Why does it have to sound so nice to hear? He can see why his drunk self was so easily wooed to bed.
But Jimin doesn’t stop for the voice. Doesn’t stop for Taehyung’s voice either. If anything he speeds up his pace, turns around so he can leave the building through the doors he came in from and bolts. He doesn’t care that there’s people staring at him as he passes by. He just needs some fresh air right now and time to clear his head. Time to wrap his head around this.
It’s not like he can skip the class altogether. He needs the class to graduate and it’s the only one being taught here. He knows he’ll have to go back, and he will. He will go back at some point. But for now...he can go without it.
For now, he just needs time alone.
He rushes out the doors into the outside world a slight breeze picking up and blowing his hair back as he runs. His lungs burn; he hasn’t run in a long time, hasn’t had the need to. Maybe he should get out more again. Exercise and maybe dance. With the baby that might be a good thing.
But even with the slight burn, he doesn’t stop. Runs past the fountain he’s admired for the past four years. Runs past trees, teachers, other students walking to their classes. He just runs until his legs feel tired, he can barely breathe in any oxygen and he wants to sit down.
He doesn’t realize he’s made his way to Taehyung’s car until he leans over resting his hands on his legs to inhale air and sees the license plate. TAEBEAR stares back at him. A silly little joke they made years ago that Taehyung decided to make permanent. Everytime Jimin sees it he’s reminded of all the times he and Seokjin called Taehyung a Momma Bear for the way he looked after both of them. At some point, it evolved to Tae Bear and just stuck.
Jimin pushes himself back up, heaving a sigh as he walks to the edge of the pathway and sits down next to the car. He lets his head rest against the purple paint closing his eyes tightly in hopes that maybe he could just sleep this all away. It wasn’t the most comfortable of positions and really he doubted he would even get a second of sleep but he willed himself to try anyways.
The breeze picks up some more. Sends a chill throughout Jimin’s body that wills him to wish he had brought a jacket with him when they were leaving the house. Taehyung had mentioned it might get chilly later in the day but Jimin didn’t really expect to be outside in it so he didn’t bother to grab a jacket. Now he wishes he had listened to Taehyung's warnings.
There’s something bothersome about knowing who the father is now. About knowing that his professor is the one who got him pregnant. The mere fact that if anyone knew what happened could end the professor’s career. And even if he barely knew the man he wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Especially since he knows it’s his first week here. He’s barely just begun and this silly little thing could ruin everything he worked for.
But there’s also the fact that now Jimin has to be taught by him. The fact that he needs to be in his presence more often than not now and he doesn’t know if he can handle that. If it had been another student here then he would be great. They would probably hardly see each other. But considering he had this class three times a week not seeing each other was impossible.
A loud groan breaks through Jimin. The car no longer comfortable (though it never was) is enough to send Jimin standing up on his feet again. He brings a hand up to his hand and pushes it out of his face through the wind seems to be doing a good job of that as he paces back and forth in front of the car.
There’s an hour before the class is over and if Taehyung decided to attend the class rather than follow Jimin he would be waiting that long since he doesn’t have keys to the car. But the thought of standing there for an hour is enough to set Jimin into an annoying fit. All he wants to do is go home but he refuses to head back to that classroom to get Taehyung. Refuses to see the professor.
Maybe right now he’s acting childish. He knows that. But right now he doesn’t really care about how he’s acting. Especially since no one is around to tell him to act otherwise.
Maybe he could just-
“There you are.” A breathless voice says from Jimin as he continues to pace the opposite way of which he had come in the beginning. He can hear whoever the other is heaving in deep breaths of air and feels a twinge of guilt knowing he made them run. Them being Taehyung.
He turns his head to the side to find Taehyung with a tiny bag in his right hand and his other hand wrapped around his waist holding his rib as he quickly intakes breath. A small frown tugs at his lips as he moves to lean against the front of Taehyung’s car.
“I’ve been looking for you.” Taehyung continues lowering his hand from his rib to the bag, opening it up and pulling out water. He passes it over to Jimin. “Here. Figured you would like this.”
Jimin slowly extends his hand and takes the bottle from Taehyung offering a small thank you. But he doesn’t open it up yet. Not until he sees Taehyung reach into the bag again and pull out a second water. If there was only the one water he would have given it back to the younger. He needs it more than Jimin does at the moment.
Opening the bottle, Jimin watches as Taehyung moves to lean against the car as well. A sigh escapes the youngers lips as he opens up his own bottle and takes a drink greedily. Seems he really needed the water after racing off to find where Jimin had gone to.
There’s a beat of silence that follows. The two stay standing side by side leaning up against the hood of the car, drinking their water and trying to catch their breaths. It stays like that for a while. The campus is quiet with students attending their classes, only the dim sound of the fountain can be heard besides their breathing.
Everything is quiet.
Until it isn’t.
“What happened?” Taehyung asks slowly. Lowering down the water bottle and capping it. Jimin can see out of the corner of his eye that Taehyung is staring at him. I can see the confusion written all over his face at his little scene that was caused earlier. He feels bad for worrying Taehyung. Feels bad because he probably startled the professor and made him feel bad too.
Jimin just feels bad in general.
“The teacher…” Jimin begins, eyes looking up at the sky. Clouds are beginning to cover the sun, the light that once was shining bright beginning to fade and be replaced with shade. A storm appears to be coming in. Jimin sighs, “That professor is who I slept with Tae. He’s the father of the baby.”
There’s no response at first. An unsettling dull silence falls between them again and it leaves Jimin feeling antsy. He pushes himself off the car, lowers his head and wills himself to look at Taehyung. But all he finds is Taehyung staring back at him in bewilderment and shock.
Jimin finds himself biting his bottom lip as seconds turn into minutes of Taehyung not replying anything. Feels a nervous sensation in the pit of his stomach and he almost regrets ever mentioning anything to Taehyung, to begin with. Almost. But he doesn’t. This is his best friend. The one he can tell anything to.
It would just help if Taehyung had better reaction time.
“Tae Tae?” Jimin speaks, quiet. His voice almost muffled in the wind that follows but he knows Taehyung can hear him because he lets out a long breath.
It’s almost like seeing Taehyung and his connection to reality slip and then fall back together. It would be amusing if the circumstances were different.
“Professor Min...is your baby daddy?” Taehyung finally manages to say. A quiet voice as if he someone were around to hear them. But there isn’t anyone. Everyone is in class. It’s just the two of them.
Jimin nods his head slowly. “That’s him.” He replies, sucking in a deep breath. “ I don’t know his name or anything but I recognize him.”
“Isn’t that a good thing then?” Taehyung asks, setting the water bottle onto the pathway and crossing his arms over his chest. “You can tell him now. Let him know of what’s happened and figure out what you’ll do from there.”
“Tell him?” Jimin hisses, shaking his head. “I can’t tell him, Tae. He’s a teacher. Our professor. That’s like...a major violation. If people find out what’s happened then…”
“But Jimin.” Taehyung’s baritone voice cuts in.“Minnie, look at me.” Jimin finds it hard to not look at him. “I get it. You’re scared. You don’t want to tell him because you don’t want people to find out. But Minnie, this is important. This is someone’s life you’re carrying. And...that’s their father. Professor Min has the right to know what’s happened.”
Jimin knows Taehyung is right. He knows he needs to tell him but… “But Tae Tae.” He whines, pouting ever so slightly at the thought.
“No buts, Minnie. I’m not saying waltz into class right now and tell him. I’m not saying do it today either. I’m just saying it needs to happen and soon. You can’t avoid the man forever, and you can’t ignore the fact that you are pregnant.” Taehyung steps away from the car and reaches out to take Jimin’s hands into his own. “You know that Seokjin and I will be here for you the entire time. And when you decide to tell Professor Min we’ll be right there if you want us to. But you have to promise me Jimin that you’ll tell him. You can’t let him sit in the dark.”
The Omega sucks in a breath. Squeezes Taehyung’s hand and nods his head slowly. He can’t tell him today. Can’t even process the thought of doing so. But he knows he will soon. And he can soon. He just...he just needs to figure out how exactly he’s going to do that when he can’t even say a single word to the man yet.
“I promise Tae Tae.” Jimin whispers as a few drops of rain begin to fall from the sky. “I’ll tell him soon.”

Chapter 4
Summary:
Looks like they both have things to get off their chest.
He’ll definitely need Taehyung and Seokjin tomorrow.
Notes:
I have chapters 5 and 6 written up already too so maybe I’ll post them this week if I can get the other chapters done as well~
That being said, Yoongi officially and permanently comes in starting the next chapter so I hope you’re all excited for that because I know I am.
I realized I didn’t have much Seokjin in yet so I decided this was the perfect time to bring him in so here’s a little JinMin chapter of sorts.
I hope you enjoy.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Much to Jimin’s liking after that whole ordeal Taehyung and Seokjin stop pressuring him to attend that class. Sure, they mention it briefly over the course of the week. Taehyung always talking about the things that had been taught and giving Jimin the notes so he could keep up a little bit. But Jimin knows that behind all the help and the non-existent words they’re both secretly telling him he needs to go back to class. That he can’t continue to go on like this and skip it. And he knows he can’t.
He attends his other classes of course. He can’t miss everything now. He knows that he’s so close to being through with college and soon he won’t ever have to worry about going to classes. Or waking up at nearly seven in the morning just to shower before Seokjin and Taehyung decides to take over the bathroom for an entire hour.
But there’s a lingering feeling of guilt piling inside Jimin’s stomach. An empty feeling that he knows won’t go away until he does what’s right and tells Professor Min the truth. He knows he can’t keep it held in forever. He knows that as soon as he starts showing people will question who’s the father. And if Professor Min is as observant as he would think he would piece things together himself before Jimin got the chance to mention anything.
The promise he made Taehyung settles in his head. Plays over and over again until Jimin is tired of hearing himself say those words.
‘I’ll tell him soon.’ He had told the younger. But soon can’t come quick enough. It’s been days now since the whole thing went down. Since he found out everything, and yet he’s still here in bed sulking.
It seems that’s all he does nowadays. Stays in bed dreading his actions. Regretting everything that he’s done during his summer vacation. Wishes he had just stayed nose stuffed in his books preparing for the last year - the most important year of his life.
Why Jimin ever bothered to join them was beyond him. But now he knows he won’t be doing that anytime soon. It’s not like he can drink anymore anyways. Despite not being too excited about everything that’s happened Jimin has looked into and researched things about pregnancy. Decided that he still wants to take care of this baby. The life growing inside of him. And he’ll be damned if he does anything that could injure his child.
He learned a lot of things through his research. Like certain foods, he can and can’t eat. That he definitely shouldn’t drink alcohol - which worked in his favour since right now that was the least of his worries. He learned multiple comfortable positions to sleep in when he gets bigger and that he may be a bit more grumpy than usual. That would be a fun experience for Taehyung and Seokjin.
But there’s one thing he knows will come in the seeable future and it’s not one he’s looking forward to. Needy. Learning that he’ll want an Alpha there with him. To hold him. To just be there for him. That alone brings a frown to his face as he thinks back to when he read that.
It’s not as if he could just ask Taehyung, “Hey Tae, can I borrow your boyfriend for a bit?” That wouldn’t go over well. Though he knows that Seokjin might be more than happy to help Jimin couldn’t bring himself to voice the words even if he was desperate.
Yeah. He definitely wasn’t doing that. If there was a whiteboard of ideas that he could think of to help when that time comes it would be the first one crossed off the list. At least it’s crossed off in his mind.
A knock sounds on his bedroom door bringing Jimin back to reality as he sits up on his bed a flick of confusion running over his face. Taehyung was at class - Professor Baby Daddy’s - and Seokjin should be at the gym. Unless he had come home earlier than he thought. But Jimin never heard the front door open.
“Jimin?” A voice says, definitely Seokjin. He must have come home while Jimin was off somewhere in La La Land. “Are you awake? Taehyung said you might be asleep, but if you’re not I was wondering if I could come in and talk to you.”
Tilting his head to the side Jimin climbs out of his bed, a soft groan escaping his lips because he was comfortable where he was. He walks up to his bedroom door and pulls it open revealing a wet haired Seokjin. Seems he even showered while he was here. Jimin must have been too far in his head.
“Oh!” A smile pulls at Seokjin’s features, taking a step back as he looks at Jimin. “You are awake. I hope I didn’t wake you.”
Jimin shakes his head as Seokjin moves further out of the doorway so they could head towards the living room and talk. Jimin finds himself wondering what Seokjin has to say. They might be extremely good friends, almost best friends if Jimin didn’t have Taehyung. But normally whenever Seokjin had something to talk about he sent Taehyung to do it for him. So for Seokjin to be the one to do the talking for once is a bit worrying for Jimin and he finds himself playing with his fingers as he plops down on the cream coloured couch filled with coffee stains that they could never manage to get out in time. They’ve been meaning to get a new couch for months now, but funds weren’t exactly up to new furniture standards.
That reminds Jimin, soon he’ll have to go shopping to get everything for the baby. For his child. He doesn’t know the first thing about baby furniture.
Hopefully, Taehyung does. He remembers Tae taking care of his younger siblings are they grew up. So maybe he’ll have some experience with everything. Jimin knows he’ll definitely need it.
“Jimin,” Seokjin says quietly bringing Jimin’s attention up to where the Alpha is sat turned slightly towards Jimin while the rest of his body was faced towards the table beside them. He watches as Seokjin props his arm up on the top of the couch leaning against it as he nibbles on his bottom lip. It’s obvious to Jimin that he’s nervous. That he isn’t sure how to start this conversation though he knows he needs to.
There’s a quick inhale of breath from Seokjin, head-turning towards the wall. Jimin is almost certain he can see the gears inside Seokjin’s head-turning to figure out what to say first.
“How are you?” Are his first words. Definitely not what Jimin had expected. But then again he doesn’t know what he was expecting to hear from Seokjin. “I’m sure you’re eating enough since Taehyung and I won’t let you go without food. But I mean...mentally. How are you dealing with this all? The news of your pregnancy and now knowing that your...um...Professor is the father. How are you handling things?”
Jimin sighs. He probably should have figured it had something to do with this. With everything that’s been going on. But still, he can’t help but feel a bit thankful that he’s able to talk about it rather than keep it bottled up until he explodes.
“It’s…” The Omega inhales a sharp breath, hand lingering over his stomach. As if maybe the baby could calm him down. Could just show it’s presence and give him the words he needs to express himself. “It’s a lot. I’m trying to figure everything out. Trying to process everything. Nothing feels right. Everything was so sudden, y’know? One second I’m basically a prodigy to my family and next I’m this pregnant Omega that can’t even bring himself to tell the Father.”
“Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t make you any less of a prodigy to your family Jimin. You’re still attending school. Still going to graduate. You’re taking care of your child. Staying healthy, eating what’s good for you, I would hope exercising too but Taehyung and I haven’t really said much about that.” Seokjin says, “I know it’s a lot. I know it’s a quick change. It’s hard to get used to. You were used to one thing for so long that suddenly you’re shifting and getting used to new things. It’s hard. I know that.”
Seokjin pushes himself off his arm he was laying on and reaches out for Jimin’s hand. It’s always been their go-to thing. Even if they weren’t having serious talks. If they knew Jimin was stressed, upset, or anything but happy they always held his hand. Something about it was always reassuring for the Omega. It made him feel like things were going to be better. That one day whatever is bothering him now wouldn’t bother him again.
“You’re probably tired of hearing this at this rate but we’re here for you,” Seokjin said as he squeezes his hand. “And I think Jimin...that things would be a little bit easier if you finally told your Professor. The weight would be taken off your shoulder if you told him the truth.”
Jimin frowns. He knows he has to but… “But Jinnie-“
“No buts Min.” Seokjin shakes his head, “This is eating at you. I can tell. You want to tell him. You need to tell him. But you’re scared. Taehyung and I can go with you if you’d like.” The Alpha scoots closer to Jimin using his other hand to grab Jimin’s open one. “You need this class to graduate Jimin. You know that. Skipping it for this...it’s not worth it. Tell your Professor and if he’s a dick about it then Taehyung and I will kick his ass.”
“But Hyung.” Jimin looks down at his hands, “This baby, was never supposed to happen. He or she...what if Professor Min wants nothing to do with me or the baby? It happened to suddenly. What then? How am I supposed to attend a class with the father of my child if he doesn’t even want them? What do I do then?”
Seokjin sighs, “Taehyung told me that Professor Min has been worried about you.” He says suddenly. “That everyday you attend class he asks Taehyung about you. Wondering if you’re sick. Or if he did something to offend you. Apparently after you ran out of class a few days ago he was really worried about you.”
“He worried about me?” Jimin finds himself asking.
“According to Taehyung, yes.” Seokjin squeezes Jimin’s hand again. “I’m not sure what he’ll say Min. But I get that he wouldn’t react like that. You won’t know until you tell him though.”
Jimin pulls away from Seokjin. Brings his knees up to his chest and wraps his arms around them. Seokjin is right after all. He won’t know until he tells him. And he needs to tell him. If he doesn’t the guilty feeling lingering in him will continue to be there until it suffocates him. Even if telling Professor Min scares him.
“Okay.” Jimin whispers, inhaling a heavy breath. “I’ll tell him tomorrow then. Okay?”
Seokjin smiles, “Taehyung and I will be there with you the entire time if you’d like?”
“Yeah. I would like that a lot.”
It’s then that there’s a notification sound coming from Jimin’s room indicating someone messaged him. He spares Seokjin a look as if asking if he can go check it.
He gets up from the couch heading over to his room to grab his phone. Picking it up and turning the screen on though he realizes it wasn’t from a text message but an email.
An email from a Min Yoongi…?
Min...Yoongi?
Professor Min.
So his first name is Yoongi. Jimin supposes it’s nice to know that so he doesn’t continue to call him Professor Min.
His heart stammers in his chest as he unlocks his phone and goes to read over what was sent to him. He inhales a deep breath as his eyes scan over the message.
Jimin,
I’ve noticed you missed a lot of class since the beginning and I was hoping you could come in so we could have a chance to talk about it. There’s a few things I would also like to speak with you about.
-Min Yoongi (Professor Min)
Well...that doesn’t calm Jimin’s nerves at all. What could Professor- Yoongi want to talk about?
He supposes he’ll find out tomorrow.
Looks like they both have things to get off their chest.
He’ll definitely need Taehyung and Seokjin tomorrow.

Chapter Text
“Are you sure you’re ready for this?” Taehyung asks as they approach the classroom. Jimin has been pacing around the entry door the past ten minutes gaining the attention of the other students around him. He doesn’t care though. Not that he should anyways. He’s none of their concern.
Ever since last night after his talk with Seokjin, he’s been trying to figure out how exactly to go about this. It’s not as if he could just drop the bomb and be like, “Hey Professor Min. Remember a few weeks ago when you dicked me down? Yeah. Well, I’m pregnant now. And it’s your child. And that’s why I’ve been avoiding you ever since school started.”
Jimin shakes the thought away. He definitely could not do that. That’s almost like asking Professor Min to hate him.
Yoongi.
Jimin huffs. He’s so used to calling him Professor Min that even remembering his name now that he knows it seems like a challenge on its own. Is he supposed to refer to him that way when they talk after class? Or does he continue speaking to him the way he knows?
It’s nearly time for class and even though both Taehyung and Seokjin are standing right there with him he’s still a bundle of nerves to even enter the room. It’s been two weeks now and he’s just now about to attend the class? He’s surprised Profess- Yoongi hasn’t kicked him out of the class yet. Hasn’t taken him off the attendance record. He wonders if there’s a reason why behind that. Maybe Taehyung said he was sick and Yoongi was just waiting for him to get better? Maybe. Who knows?
Will the people look at him like he’s crazy? Would Yoongi comment on the fact that he finally came to class? Or would he just acknowledge him for a split second before starting the lesson? Whatever that may be.
Now that he thinks about that he’s grateful Taehyung was kind enough to provide the notes. He doesn’t know how challenging this would have been without them. Especially since he’s technically behind.
Jimin turns towards where Taehyung and Seokjin are standing against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway. Adjusts the straps on his backpack, huffing heavily with how much it weighs even with a few books inside. He always hated having to carry them around with him. Why couldn’t the school just provide them? Then students would save money instead of spending it to buy books for the class.
“For someone who’s been nagging me about doing this I’m surprised you’re asking me that question.” Jimin replies crossing his arms over his chest giving Taehyung a pointed look. “I figured you would be a bundle of joy knowing that I’m actually attending this class and telling you know who about you know what.”
Taehyung pushes himself off the wall and walks towards Jimin wrapping his arm around the Omega’s shoulder. There’s a bright smile on his face that Jimin can’t help but return. Taehyung’s smiles always made everything better.
“Don’t get me wrong.” Taehyung begins as Seokjin approaches them too. “I’m stoked that you’re finally coming with me. The class was boring without you. But I know how scared you are. And I just want to make sure you’re ready for this even though we’re here. As much as I want you in there with me today I rather you be comfortable.”
Jimin’s smile brightens. Pulls until his teeth are showing and turns to give Taehyung a thankful hug. He doesn’t know what he would do without him. How lost he would be in the world without his light to guide him through everything.
“I’m fine.” He replies, looking between both of his friends. “I can do this. I’ve put it off for far too long now. I have to do this sooner rather than later. It’s like you’ve both been saying. He has the right to know this. He needs to know. And I’ll never get this weight off my chest, this guilty feeling clawing at me from the inside until I tell him. Yes, I’m scared of what the outcome might be. But even then...I’m going to do this. And if things turn ugly I have you two beside me.”
Beside him, he hears a sniffle coming from Taehyung and looks up at him with big bright eyes filled with concern. Why was Taehyung emotional all of a sudden? Did he say something wrong? “Tae?”
He’s pulled into another hug for his response. A tighter hug that has them pressed together even through the beginning of their lecture. “I’m just...they grow up so fast. Look at you? Days ago you didn’t think you could do it. Didn’t think you could come to school and now here you are and you’re doing this.” Taehyung pulls away from the hug and giggles. “I feel like a proud mom.”
“You’re younger than me.” Jimin points out.
“And I would be the mom. You’re the cool dad that the kids go to when Mom won’t give them snacks.” Seokjin adds.
“I’m Tae Bear. I’m going to get emotional at these things. I’ve been with you since we were babies Minnie.” Taehyung hums, a smile forming on his face again. “And as much as I would love to stand here and talk about all things emotions we are kind of missing our lecture right now. And we may have a test in the upcoming weeks so I think we should get inside. You can’t miss anything else from this class. Wouldn’t want to start the year with a failing grade.”
Jimin scoffs, “Please. Me? Fail? That’s like impossible.” He huffs as he walks over to the door opening it up for the three of them. He hears as the voices chatting among the classroom all stop one by one until their heads are turned towards the door to see who’s entering.
He can feel the eyes of one Alpha in particular. Feel the stare of Yoongi as Taehyung and Seokjin enter before him. His heart stammers in his chest. More out of fear than uneasiness. Slowly, Jimin inhales a breath as he trails in behind them following as they walk up the stairs towards the back where there are open seats still.
As they take their seats in the back of the room Jimin can still feel the lingering state of Yoongi. Can still hear the almost never-ending silence that follows them. If Yoongi wants to make any comment on the fact that Jimin has finally come to class he doesn’t make any moves to do while everyone is present. If anything, Jimin gets the feeling they’ll do it after class.
Though considering the email, Jimin finds it a bit surprising that Yoongi is so taken aback by his sudden appearance. Did he not expect him so suddenly? Or did he expect Jimin to come at a later date? Whenever he had the chance to?
He can’t begin to figure out, but as he reaches into his bag to grab out his belongings to take notes showing that he’s indeed staying in class this time and has no intentions to run off Yoongi continues talking about the lesson once again.
He spares a glance towards his best friends. Tries his hardest to not laugh at how bored Seokjin looks playing on his phone while Taehyung is already busy copying down whatever it is upon the board in the front. He feels a bit bad knowing that Seokjin is stuck here for the next hour with not much to do, but also feels thankful all the same.
Just one more hour until he tells Yoongi the truth. Just one more hour until he reveals that he’s pregnant and that Yoongi is the father.
***
The lecture ends sooner than Jimin would like it. Or, maybe time just went by faster because he was so focused on getting everything written down that he didn’t have a chance to care about anything else. But it ends. And now everything that Jimin has to do right after class comes crashing back into him.
He’s finishing highlighting some key terms that Yoongi said would be on their exam in the upcoming weeks when he starts noticing everyone leaving the class. When he hears the words, “Class is over. Make sure to do the assignment I told you all about.” coming from Yoongi.
On the outside one might think he’s just trying to finish with his notes. Trying to jot down everything he might think he needs. But on the inside, Jimin crashed. He still hasn’t exactly decided how he’s going to reveal the news to Yoongi. Hasn’t exactly determined whether he’s supposed to go down there and greet Yoongi or if Yoongi will come to him.
He lifts his head curtly. Glances down towards where Yoongi is gathering his own belongings and does the same. Beside him, he can see Taehyung and Seokjin sitting against each other waiting patiently for Jimin to finish up with whatever it is he’s doing.
Closing the notebook, he stuffs it inside his backpack followed by his highlighters and pencil pouch.
“How are you holding up?” Comes Taehyung’s voice. Faint and quiet almost as if they speak up any more Yoongi would hear them. “You made it through the lecture. I’m proud of you for that.”
Jimin offers a smile towards Taehyung as he zips up his backpack and swings it onto his back. “I’m...hanging in there.” Jimin returns just as quietly. “Nervous a little bit though about the conversation to come but...I’ll have you two with me, right?”
But before Taehyung or Seokjin is given the chance to answer his question there’s another voice entering the conversation.
“Jimin?” He hears Yoongi call from where he’s standing at his desk. Slowly, Jimin turns his head in that direction. Eyes locking with the Alphas. “Could you come down here? I’d like to speak with you now if you have the chance.”
The Omega inhales a breath, takes a glance at Taehyung and Seokjin who only nod in response before he’s taking off his backpack and setting it on top of the chair. He walks around the chair towards the staircase and slowly makes his way down to where Yoongi is waiting for him. Bringing his hands together he tries to will away any nerves he may have. Any fears that could stop him from telling Yoongi what he needs to be informed about.
As he approaches the final steps he inhales a heavy breath, closes his eyes for a split second before he heads closer towards the desk where Yoongi is standing on the other side. He lowers himself down slowly to bow before he’s standing straight up.
How does he start this? A simple hello might be nice right? A ‘Sorry I’ve skipped your class the last two weeks but I’m here now’? Would that be good?
“Jimin,” Yoongi says slowly beating him to the start of the conversation. “How are you feeling? You’ve missed a bunch of classes. Have you been sick recently?”
Jimin shifts his weight to one leg, keeping the other one in front of him. He doesn’t meet Yoongi’s eyes, doesn’t bother to spare a glance at him again. He doesn’t know if he could tell him what he needs to if he meets his eyes.
“I’ve been...better,” Jimin replies honestly. Which is true. He has been better. He has been in a place where he wasn’t stressing constantly, a weight that wasn’t on his shoulders. “Can I ask what this is about? I wasn’t expecting to suddenly receive an email from you requesting to see me.”
“I wasn’t really expecting to send an email either,” Yoongi replies, a small shrug falling off his shoulders. “But you’ve been avoiding this class and I know you need it to graduate, Jimin. So I decided to see what the cause of your absences was.”
A small huff escapes Jimin. Of course he would notice that, and of course, he would know Jimin needed this class. It only makes sense.
“Is it…” Yoongi speaks slowly, voice becoming a bit quieter. Almost like he doesn’t want to risk Taehyung and Seokjin hearing. Though it wouldn’t matter if they did. They know everything already. Nothing Yoongi would say now would be of any surprise to the two best friends. “Is it because of what happened during summer break? Because of what happened between the two of us? Because Jimin...I promise you I didn’t know you were to be my student at the time. I didn’t even know you attended this college.”
Jimin shakes his head. Sure, that’s slightly the reason behind his missing classes but it’s not the entire reason. Not the main reason he’s been avoiding Yoongi for so long now.
He doesn’t respond at first though. He doesn’t know what exactly he can say right now. Just waits and hopes Yoongi will continue on with whatever it is that he’s saying.
“Do you regret it?” Yoongi ends up asking surprising Jimin. He hadn’t expected to hear those words come out of his mouth at all. “Sleeping with me I mean. Do you regret that? Because if you do we can put it-“
“I’m pregnant.” Jimin blurts out without sparing a second to think about whether it’s a great idea or not. From behind him, he can hear both Taehyung and Seokjin intake a heavy breath followed by Seokjin saying a brief “shit”.
There’s a silence that follows after that. And for the first time, Jimin lifts his head up to meet Yoongi’s face. He looks pale. As if he had just seen a ghost. And for a brief second Jimin is uncertain if he’s breathing or not.
“You’re pregnant?” Yoongi asks breathlessly. It sounds as if he’s run a marathon though they’ve been standing in the same place the entire time. “But...that means…”
“The baby is yours,” Jimin whispers, lowering his head again. Almost in shame. “That's why I avoided you. Because I was scared to tell you. I was scared to even believe I was pregnant. That this actually happened. I worried if I told you there’s a chance you would reject it. Reject me and the baby.”
Another beat of silence follows until Jimin sees shoes in front of him and feels his hands being taken into someone else’s. Until he looks up and sees Yoongi standing right in front of him.
“You’re telling me I’m going to be a father?” Jimin doesn’t miss the tears welling up in Yoongi’s eyes. Whether out of excitement or sadness he can’t tell but from Yoongi’s voice alone he sounds almost hopeful. Jimin nods his head for an answer, doesn’t trust his own voice to speak for him right now. “That’s...Jimin that’s wonderful news. Why would I ever reject that? I can’t believe this. I’m...wow...I’m going to be a dad.”
But then Yoongi stops. And Jimin dares to look up at him.
“I am going to be a father, right?” Yoongi asks and for a second Jimin is confused by the question. That is, until Yoongi adds, “You’re having our baby, right?”
“I’m not sure.” Jimin answers, “I think so. As crazy as this has been. As crazy as this is I want this baby. It’s just...challenging. I’m trying to balance school and this now. And it’s just a lot. I struggled this long to even let you know about my pregnancy and now…”
“I want to help,” Yoongi says before Jimin can say another word. “If you’ll let me. I want to be a part of yours and the baby’s life. This is...this is the best news I’ve gotten in a while. To be a father? That’s a dream I’ve had for years and it’s finally coming true.”
“You...want to be a part of their life?” Jimin asks quietly. He doesn’t know if he can believe it. He doesn’t know if he should believe. But something inside him says he should. That having Yoongi in his life is something that he needs.
“I do,” Yoongi confirms, nodding his head. “Only if you’ll let me.”
“I will. You deserve a spot in their life. You’re their father after all.” Jimin offers a small smile to Yoongi.
“I’m glad you told me Jimin. I’m glad you’re letting me be here.”
Jimin doesn’t respond to that. Only turns to away to look towards where Taehyung and Seokjin have been sitting. He smiles towards the two of them reaching out with a hand to signal them to come down.
The weight that had been building on his shoulders, the guilty feeling filling inside of him vanished. Telling Yoongi was the right decision and now that he has he feels relaxed. Feels like he can do this.
Having Yoongi in his life will either turn out to be a blessing or a curse. For the baby’s sake, Jimin prays it’ll be a blessing.

Chapter Text
Yoongi has become a permanent figure in Jimin’s life.
After Jimin came out and told Yoongi about his pregnancy he had been keen on being more a part of their lives. Jimin had obviously agreed, had liked even that Yoongi was wanting a place in the baby’s life. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to do this by himself. Even if he had Taehyung and Seokjin it wouldn’t be the same as if he had the baby’s father.
It had become a routine of sorts that every time class was finished Jimin and Yoongi would spend time together discussing things, getting to know each other and talking about the baby. Jimin stopped avoiding the class and even managed to pass the exam he was worried about a few weeks ago.)
He felt better knowing Yoongi was aware of everything now. Felt better knowing that he was no longer hiding it and that he didn’t have to avoid attending class. It’s almost like the news made Yoongi the happiest person in the world because every time they saw each other and Yoongi’s gaze flickered to Jimin’s stomach he would always wear a fond smile.
Fatherhood looked good on Yoongi. Made him look more attractive. But don’t tell Yoongi he thinks that.
However, as nice as it is that Yoongi is now a part of their life sometimes it still throws Jimin for a loop. Still confused and worries him. He worries about if they’re caught together. If someone were to rat them out to the school and Yoongi would lose his job. Would they think Jimin is getting special treatment because they have a blossoming relationship? Because that was far from the truth.
Even if he was carrying Yoongi’s child he was still as strict with him in class as he was with the others. Still got mad if Jimin didn’t complete the assignments that were given to him. Nothing changed between their student and Professor relationship. It’s outside of class that changed between them.
Outside of class, they weren’t a professor and student. They weren’t strangers. They were friends. Friends that were awaiting a baby.
That would be interesting to explain to the school if the time ever came around. Jimin just hopes it wouldn’t.
It’s become a thing where sometimes Yoongi will come over to Jimin’s apartment carrying bags of groceries and other things he read about that Jimin might need. Which ends up with Seokjin and Taehyung always reminding Yoongi that they’re taking care of Jimin just fine.
Jimin wouldn’t admit it out loud but he always finds their bickering funny. He enjoys that his best friends seem to get along with Yoongi. It makes him think that he chose a good person to sleep with. Or well, his drunken self has good taste.
He learns a lot about Yoongi. Learns that teaching wasn’t what he had dreamed about becoming for the longest time. Learns that originally Yoongi just wanted to work in a daycare. Wanted to be surrounded by children. When he learned that it clicked why Yoongi had been so happy about the news.
Learns that Yoongi is really picky about vegetables and says he’ll only eat them if it’s the ones Seokjin prepared for him. Apparently his cooking was something Yoongi looked forward to whenever he came over.
Learns about Yoongi’s own friends. Learns that one of them also attends their college and is two years younger than Jimin and Taehyung. While the other two are older by a year. Jimin often wonders when he’ll get the chance to meet them. Yoongi’s already met his friends. So when will he meet his?
“Soon.” Yoongi would tell him. “I haven’t told them about the news yet. I didn’t know if you wanted me to go around telling people.”
Jimin would reply with, “This is your child too, Yoongi. You can tell whoever you want.”
Though even then he’s not sure if Yoongi has told them. Not sure when he’ll meet his friends. But he hopes soon.
Especially because he wants Yoongi in his life for a long time.
***
It’s nearly two months after Jimin has told Yoongi about his pregnancy that the guilt starts to kick in again. The constant fear that he’s been pressuring Yoongi into this the entire time. Thoughts that Yoongi doesn’t actually want this, doesn’t actually care for the baby cave into his mind. That he feels he has to be a part of Jimin’s life because he’s the one who caused this.
Feels he left Yoongi no choice in the matter.
Though part of Jimin knows that’s not true. He knows that Yoongi wants this because he loves kids. And yet he can’t get that other part of him to stop thinking that way. And it poisons his mind.
So Jimin limits their time.
Tries not to text Yoongi if he doesn’t have to doesn’t ask him to come over as much for their normal cuddle time that Jimin has become needy for. Something about the Alpha’s scent was enticing. Was something that Jimin loved to be around so when he finally mustered up the courage one day when Yoongi was over he asked if the Alpha would cuddle him. And ever since then it’s been a normal thing.
During class, Jimin doesn’t spare any extra glances over at Yoongi like he normally does. Instead focuses solely on his notes or Taehyung if he was trying to bother him. And whenever class ended and they were supposed to have their usual talk Jimin just makes up an excuse for why he can’t stay. Always something different.
Though his attempts at avoiding Yoongi don’t last that long. Jimin never expected them to, to be fair, but he had to at least try. Maybe he would feel a bit better about Yoongi wanting to be in his life if it’s not as often. The Alpha has other things he needs to attend to after all. His own friends, work, grading papers, making assignments, taking care of himself. He can’t spend all his time with Jimin.
Even if part of Jimin wishes he could.
He’s relaxing on his bed, phone propped up on his chest as he scrolls through countless videos on YouTube trying to find something that peaks his interests to watch when there’s a knock sounding on his door. A small exhale blows from his lips as he pushes himself off the bed, sets his phone down on the nightstand beside him and walks over to the door opening it up.
He’s expecting maybe Seokjin who always knocks on his door but it’s rare for him to actually want something that involves him coming over. Taehyung rarely knocks, normally decides to just barge in because Jimin is his best friend and he has the right to do so. But he’s definitely not expecting to see Yoongi standing on the other side of the door dressed in what looks to be his most comfortable clothes and a bandana brushing his hair back.
Well, Jimin didn’t think Yoongi could get any hotter but apparently he was wrong there.
Though that doesn’t help the confusion he has when staring at the Alpha. He manages to spot both Taehyung and Seokjin sitting on the couch behind Yoongi and gives him a pointed look. The only response he gets from either of them is a shrug of their shoulders. Either they don’t know why Yoongi is here or they’re refusing to tell him.
“Yoongi, what are you doing here?” Jimin asks, returning his attention back to the elder. He has a small idea of what the reasoning is but he prays he could be wrong and Yoongi just wants to spend time with him like normal. Jimin could definitely use some cuddling time. He has missed that.
“You’ve been avoiding me. Again.” Yoongi replies crossing his arms over his chest. Something about the way Yoongi says ‘again’ sends a shiver through Jimin. A bad feeling to his stomach that he doesn’t like. He hates that he says that. It’s not like he wants to avoid him. He just feels bad constantly being around him. What else is he going to do? “Come on. Let’s go for a walk.”
Jimin tilts his head to the side at the sudden invitation. “A walk?” He repeats, nibbling on his lower lip. He’s not even dressed to leave the apartment right now and Yoongi wants to go for a walk? He hasn’t even showered yet. Pure laziness taking over so he’s barely left bed all day.
“Yep.” Yoongi nods a small smile on his face as he steps into Jimin’s room, walks past him and plops down on his bed. “Taehyung and Seokjin-Hyung always say you need exercise. So let’s go for a walk and we can talk while we’re on it. Get two things done at once.”
Jimin huffs, shaking his head to the side. “I’m not dressed, nor have I even showered yet Yoongi.” He whines, closing the door behind Yoongi so they’re alone. A little privacy.
“Then I’ll wait in here and you can go shower. I’m in no rush. I’ve finished everything I needed to do today.”
“Something tells me you’re not letting me say no to this, are you?”
“Nope.” Yoongi shakes his head already moving to lay down on Jimin’s bed. Early on in their friendship when Yoongi first came here he had mentioned Jimin’s bed was ten times more comfortable than his own. “Exercise is good for you and the baby. And the weather is nice today so a small walk seems appropriate. Plus I want to know why you’ve been avoiding me. There’s something on your mind and I’m curious about it. So please, shower. Then we can go.”
A small grumble escapes Jimin’s lips as he walks over to his closet to find an outfit to wear. “Fine fine. I’m going.”
He really shouldn’t have expected anything less from Yoongi.
***
Like Yoongi said it is nice outside. There’s a cool breeze that sends Jimin’s hair back, brushing it out of his face. And there are clouds filling up the sky. Not dark enough to create a storm, but enough so that they block out the sun so it’s not as bright. It’s nice to not have to constantly shield his eyes.
They take a path that sends them towards the park. One thing Jimin was excited for when the baby grew older. The park was nearby where they lived and if things worked out he might not have to move from that apartment for a long time. That would be nice. To be able to bring his son or daughter over to the park, take pictures and have a little picnic.
Just imagining all the things he’ll be able to do one day is enough to send a smile onto the Omega’s face. Who knew pregnancy could be so exciting? So emotional.
He can feel the lingering presence of Yoongi behind him but he doesn’t say a word. They don’t speak for a good portion of the walk and Jimin wonders what the point of this was if they don’t talk. But Jimin can’t find it in him to care much. Maybe he should do this more often. Take simple little walks like this with Taehyung or Seokjin.
He could get used to something like that. Watching the children play on the playground and just imagine the future. How things can turn out. How he’ll be as a father.
“Are you okay, Jimin?” Yoongi’s voice comes from behind him, startling the Omega. He jumps a hand clamping over his chest as he turns around to face Yoongi with a huff. “I’m sorry.” But the words don’t meet his eyes. Instead, there’s an amused look in them. As if he found Jimin being scared funny.
Jimin huffs crosses his arms over his chest and inhales a breath. “I’m fine. Why?”
“Because you’ve been...I don’t know distant? You don’t text me a lot anymore. You don’t stay after class so we can talk, and it’s like you’re disappearing.” Yoongi explains shrugging. “One second you’re a major part of my life, spending time with me any chance we have and then the next you’re just poof gone. I kept asking myself what it is that I did wrong. What I could have done to keep you with me and yet I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on in that head of yours because you don’t express yourself. You keep it bottled in and I’m confused Jimin. What did I do? Why are you distancing yourself from me?”
A sigh escapes Jimin’s lips. A deep heavy sigh and he doesn’t know where to begin. He doesn’t know what exactly he wants to say. He reaches out for Yoongi’s hand, slips his fingers with the elder and pulls him along closer to the park. He doesn’t pay attention to the way he loves having Yoongi’s hand in his own. Not a word is said between the two of them until Jimin finds a bench and sits them down on it.
“I feel guilty.” Jimin murmurs, squeezing Yoongi’s hand. Even sitting down he refuses to let go. Holds it tighter if he can without hurting Yoongi.
“Guilty?” Yoongi repeats, confusion lingering in his voice. “For what? You’ve done nothing wrong.”
“I…” Jimin frowns, looks away from Yoongi turning towards the park. He watches the children. Hears them scream in excitement and happiness. It brings a tiny smile to his face before he reminds himself of why they’re there, to begin with. “I feel like I gave you no choice in this. That you’re being forced to play a part in the baby’s life. You have so much more to do, Yoongi. So much more important stuff and yet you spend so much time with me. With the baby, and I feel guilty for it.”
“Jimin…” It’s Yoongi’s turn to squeeze Jimin’s hand, reaching out to turn the younger towards him so they’re facing each other. “Hey, look at me Min.” Jimin does so hesitantly. “I don’t feel pressured at all. Not in the slightest. I want to be here. I want to be in your life and the baby’s life. Remember, I’m the one who asked for a place here. If I didn’t want to be here I never would have asked.”
The breeze picks up again, sending Jimin’s hair flying back. For once he hates it. Wishes his hair would stay covering his eyes so Yoongi wouldn’t meet them. “You and the baby are my family now Jimin. And I’ll be here throughout the entire thing. Through your bad days and your good days.” Yoongi offers a smile to the younger. “Besides, I won’t lie. I wanted to keep in contact with you after that night.”
“That night?” Jimin asks, lifting his head to look at Yoongi confused. “What night?”
“The night we met. At the party.” Yoongi answers with a laugh, “I wanted to spend more time with you after that, but you disappeared before I could get your number or anything. Then when I saw you appearing in my class I figured it was my second chance. Though you ran off before I could attempt to get it but I guess it worked out in the end? I never expected it would be because you got pregnant though. But to be honest, I’m glad you did. I’m glad we’re bringing a life into this world.”
There’s a cheerful scream coming from the slides where the kids are sliding down and climbing up again just to slip down. Jimin can’t help but look over and smile at them. Kids were always funny to him. Always full of energy.
“This is my second chance Jimin,” Yoongi says brightly, bringing Jimin’s attention back to him. “I’m here for you through this entire thing and I will be even after our child is born. I won’t leave you, and I don’t feel pressured to be in your life. I chose this. I don’t regret my choice. So don’t worry your pretty head over it, okay? And please don’t avoid me anymore.”
Hearing Yoongi explain that to him has Jimin exhaling a breath of relief. A breath of happiness knowing his mind was just playing tricks on him. That Yoongi wants to be here. It makes him happy to know that.
He’s not alone in this, though he never was. He has Yoongi. And he knows he always will.

Chapter 7
Summary:
“Thank you.” He begins, “For taking care of me. Forgiving us a chance. For just being here.”
He doesn’t get a response from Yoongi. But words don’t need to be said for Jimin to know what Yoongi means.
Notes:
So there’s some things I’ve been meaning to address but they always slip my mind. In this fic I had the school system running around what I’m used to. Which is beginning in August and finishing May/June.
That being said, Yoongi and Jimin hook up in July. Jimin finds out he’s pregnant in August and now they’re in November/December area.
Also, since the final chapters have been written I will be updating once every week. The day I will is undetermined but it’ll be once a week. We’re almost done with the story and chapters 8-10 are extremely cute in my opinion.
Enjoy~

Chapter Text
School becomes draining for Jimin.
Against what most people say this last year of college is definitely not going easily. It’s not even giving a chance to breathe. Constantly putting more and more assignments on top of one another, exams to study for, and midterms coming up within the next week. It’s like Jimin doesn’t get a chance to even relax. He’s busy most of the day trying to sort through and do everything he can.
But one assignment done becomes two more assignments added. And it’s starting to pile up to the point where Jimin hasn’t slept a decent amount in days.
Whenever he’s not in class he’s at home in his bedroom studying or doing assignments. It’s gotten to the point where he’s so busy he doesn’t even spare a second glance to his phone. Doesn’t text Yoongi or call him. Ignores all the text messages and calls he knows he’s been getting and focuses on his studies alone.
He’ll see Yoongi when he attends class. Right now he has more important things that need his attention and as much as he hates to admit it Yoongi isn’t one of those things.
He knows the way he’s going about this isn’t the smartest. He knows that there are better ways to spend his time so he’s not stressed out like this. He knows it’s not good for his baby, but his studies are important to him. One of the most important things if he was being honest. He’s done this before. Spent days without sleep to figure everything out. It was hard and he dreaded it but he completed everything. And if that’s what he needs to do again then he was going to.
He’s already gone two days with barely any sleep. He’s fine for now.
Things would have been worse if it wasn’t for Taehyung or Seokjin coming in constantly bringing him food. Unlike the other times when he would do this, he can’t go without food this time. He can’t endanger his child and he wouldn’t.
It was times like these that he was thankful for his best friends. Times when they took care of him, made sure he was doing well. Jimin has an idea that if it wasn’t for Tae and Jin being there he wouldn’t have eaten at all. Preparing food takes up quality time. The quality time he could use studying.
He’s tired. Jimin won’t lie. He could use the sleep. Could use the rest on his brain because he feels if he keeps going he might dissolve and become a puddle thanks to everything he’s trying to memorize and learn. But he doesn’t stop. He knows that at this stage it would probably be the best time to stop, but he pushes on.
There’s not much left besides studying for his exams and midterms. An essay for one class, a reading assignment for another and then two assignments from Yoongi’s class. Not too much. If he’s lucky he’ll be able to do the essay and reading assignment today.
Yoongi’s, on the other hand, might take a bit more effort.
Jimin was glad they had to decided to keep their relationship during class hours professional. Made no indications that they knew each other outside of the classroom. It helped people to not catch on to what was growing between them. Especially with Jimin’s pregnancy getting further and further and he’s beginning to show.
But the downside to that was Yoongi treated Jimin like the rest of the students. Exams, essays, and projects were all the same. He didn’t go easy on Jimin just because he was carrying his child. No, he was the same strict Professor Min inside the classroom to everyone.
It was nice to not get special treatment. But at the same time, he did wish Yoongi would lay off a bit. Give him a chance to breathe. Sometimes he wonders if Yoongi’s professors had been this hard on him and that’s where he picked it up from.
It’s a quarter after seven now. Jimin has a coffee in front of him that Taehyung offered to buy him because he knows nothing he says will break the Omega from doing what he’s doing. But it doesn’t help. He’s tired and his body wants to sleep right here right now. It doesn’t even care that he’s in the most uncomfortable position.
So he stands up. Pushes his chair back away from the desk, stands up and decides to take a breather. Decides to pace around the room, do a little dance and hopefully wake himself up a bit.
But really it does the opposite and he dreads ever trying to do an exercise. It tires him out more to the point he plops on his bed and lets out a huff.
“This isn’t working,” Jimin grumbles rolling onto his side to face his desk where he’s left his book open and coffee resting. He watches the ice shift in the cup as it gets smaller. “Don’t teachers understand we have more classes? You can’t pin everything on us at once.”
He pushes himself up from his rolled position until he’s sitting up once again. Takes another glance at his bed and almost wishes would just lay down and sleep. Wishes he would just will himself enough motivation to quit working. But he doesn’t. Knows if he stops he’ll regret it and never be able to sleep comfortably.
Jimin moves to get up so he can go back to his desk. Go back to the essay he’s trying to complete. He’s one page in and only needs four more to go. He hopes he can finish it tonight since it’s due the next day.
Hopes to finish all the assignments he needs to do.
But before he’s able to sit down there’s a knock on his bedroom door.
It throws him for a loop for a good minute because he knows Taehyung and Seokjin aren’t home. Knows they left a while ago to go on a little date. Something they haven’t been able to do in a long time, so there’s no way they’re here.
Maybe all his sleep deprivation is causing him to imagine things.
But then the knock comes again. Followed by a “Jimin? Are you awake? Your light is on so I assumed you were.” Coming from the voice of…
Yoongi?
What’s Yoongi doing here? And how did he even get in? Didn’t Taehyung and Seokjin lock the door before they left today? Jimin knows he never gave Yoongi a key to the apartment.
Hesitantly Jimin walks to his door and pulls it open. Sure he’s dreaming this right? Maybe he’s already fallen asleep and his want to see Yoongi is making him dream he was here.
But as he opens the door the light from his room illuminates Yoongi’s face. Reveals his little gummy smile Jimin finds endearing.
“You are awake,” Yoongi says, stepping into the room as Jimin moves out of the way. “You look awful. Taehyung and Seokjin mentioned you weren’t looking too hot but...wait...that came out wrong. You do look hot Jimin, just...pale? Like you haven’t slept in a long time.”
“That would be correct then.” Jimin hums closing the door behind him. He doesn’t have the will to feel offended by what his best friends said to Yoongi. “What are you doing here? How are you even here? The door was locked.”
“I have a key,” Yoongi replies, and to prove it he pulls a singular silver key out of his pocket and shows Jimin. “Taehyung and Seokjin gave it to me a while back. In the off chance, something happens to you and they’re not here. Safety precautions.”
“I wasn’t aware of that.” Jimin huffs plopping on the bed next to where Yoongi has taken a spot. The Alpha is already moving to get comfortable on the bed pulling the covers down and on him. Now that Jimin looks he realizes Yoongi is already in his pajamas. “What are you doing? Are you staying here?”
“Of course.” Yoongi grins pulling the pillow down until it’s in the right spot. “Taehyung and Seokjin called me saying they were worried about you.” The elder looks up at the ceiling. “I should have noticed something was off when you stopped texting me. You barely even spoke to me in class.” His gaze lowers to the desk, “Now I see why.”
Jimin huffs, “It’s not my fault all you teachers give us so much work to do. I still have so much to do and I haven’t even started any of your assignments yet.” The Omega stands up to head towards the desk so he can begin working again. But before he’s able to take so much as a step there’s a hand wrapping around his wrist.
“Stay.” Yoongi comments, pulling him closer. “I’ll pardon you from the assignments. Just stay, lay down and get some rest. Please? You don’t look good and all this not sleeping isn’t good for the baby either.”
“I thought we agreed to no special treatments?” Jimin asked, crossing his arm over his chest. “You excusing me is special treatment.”
“Consider it me helping out a friend. Making sure you and our baby stay healthy Min.” Yoongi murmurs, scooting closer towards Jimin. Again, he pulls on the Omega’s hand until Jimin is once again sitting on the surface. “Special treatment is okay every now and again. I won’t do it often if you really don’t like it but please...this time it’s important.”
The Omega hesitates. Wonders if it’s a good idea. Wonders if he really should take Yoongi’s offer. He knows it’s probably the right thing to do. Working himself to the bone isn’t healthy for them, and he shouldn’t be doing it. He knows that. And normally he’s good at this. Good at finishing everything way ahead of time. But sometimes things pile up and he has to do this.
But the more he debates it the more he feels himself moving towards Yoongi. Feels himself moving until he’s in the embrace of the Alpha’s arms, his vanilla scent swarming him. It’s comforting.
And within seconds of Jimin laying his head on Yoongi's chest, he’s already fallen asleep.
——
When Jimin wakes up it’s to the bright light of the outside world shining in and the smell of bacon cooking. He’s no longer in the embrace of Yoongi’s arms and pouts slightly. But he knows Yoongi has classes he needs to teach today so he doesn’t blame him for leaving. Though he does wish he could have woken up in the Alpha’s arms.
He doesn’t know how long he’s slept. He doesn’t want to check the time to see how late in the day it is. How much time he’s wasted by sleeping. All he wants to do is relax. Sleep a whole day away if he could. But bad choices aside Jimin pushes himself out of bed.
The first thing Jimin wants is breakfast. Even if it’s noon or sometime later than that he’s still eating breakfast first. And if he’s lucky maybe it will be that bacon he smells being cooked right now. His mouth waters at the thought.
Pulling his bedroom door open he’s greeted with more than just the smell of bacon. There’s eggs, sausage, maybe some toast if his nose is in the correct mind right now. It smells like an entire feast, and as if on cue Jimin’s stomach growls at him.
Yeah, he really was hungry.
He’s expecting to be met with Seokjin in the kitchen. Hair brushed back, apron on, and maybe Taehyung walking around trying to steal some bacon before Jin catches him. But instead, he’s greeted with Yoongi standing in front of the stove concentrating hard on whatever it is he’s cooking in the pan.
A smile tugs on Jimin’s lips at the sight.
So Yoongi hasn’t left yet. That’s nice to know.
“Good morning,” Jimin mumbles walking over to one of the counters so he could lean against it and continue to watch the Alpha cook. He doesn’t miss the way Yoongi jumps at the sudden greeting, probably startled since he was so concentrated.
Yoongi turns his head and offers a small smile, “Good morning, Jimin. Did you sleep well?”
Jimin nods his head, leaning against the marble countertop looking at all the food that’s already been prepared and what still needs to be made. He didn’t even realize they had this many groceries. Unless Yoongi went out and bought some this morning.
“Don't you have class today?” Jimin asks tilting his head to the side as Yoongi flips over what Jimin now realizes is French toast. “Or is it still too early?”
Yoongi barks out a laugh, motioning towards the microwave which shows the time to thirty minutes after one. “I called in sick today. You needed me more than the students needed me. They’re smart they can handle things on their own. And if not they can email me.” The Alpha shrugs, “You’re more important to me than they are.”
Jimin doesn’t respond. He doesn’t know how he’s supposed to respond to that so he opts for moving closer to where Yoongi is currently cooking and stealing a piece of bacon. His stomach grumbles as he picks it up causing his cheeks to flare up.
“You sound hungry.” Yoongi teases, opening one of the cabinets so grab down a plate. “Go sit down. I’ll make you a plate. I wasn’t really sure what you wanted so I made a lot. Whatever you don’t eat though we can wrap up as leftovers for the Taehyung and Seokjin.”
“Yes, sir.” Jimin giggles going to the couch to sit down. He lets out a small yawn, rubbing away the rest of the sleep from his eyes as he waits for his food. “Where are Tae and Jinnie?”
“Taehyung is at school. Seokjin said he was going to the gym for a bit. So you’re stuck with me.” Yoongi replies walking out of the kitchen carrying a plate piled high with food. “Which reminds me, I was wondering if you wanted to go out today? Or maybe tomorrow. Whichever one you’d like.”
Jimin thanks Yoongi as he takes the plate from his hand and lowers it down onto his lap. “Go out? Where?” He questions picking up the fork and stabbing a sausage with it. Once again, his mouth waters.
“Well, you don’t have anything for the baby, do you?” Yoongi asks earning a no from Jimin. “I was hoping we could go shopping for stuff. I’m buying of course. But I didn’t know when you wanted to go honestly.”
“You want to go baby shopping?” Jimin repeats, blowing on the sausage so he could take a bite of it. “I still need to finish some assignments but we can go tomorrow? Today I just want to relax and later tonight I’ll work on the assignments.”
“Sure. Tomorrow sounds good.” Yoongi smiles brightly, turning on his heel to walk back to the kitchen to finish cooking. “You go baby shopping with me and I’ll excuse your assignments. Deal?”
“Shouldn’t baby shopping be a mandatory thing? How does that work for an excuse?” Jimin asks shaking his head.
“That’s our excuse for you not doing them.”
“Fine fine.” Jimin huffs as he takes a bite of the sausage.
Baby shopping was something Jimin bad worried about since he learned of his pregnancy. Worried how he would be able to afford everything. Worried where he would place the baby’s crib. But with Yoongi here maybe they’ll figure everything out. Hopefully, they would.
“Hey Hyung?” Jimin calls, moving to his eggs.
“Yes, Jimin?”
“Thank you.” He begins, “For taking care of me. Forgiving us a chance. For just being here.”
He doesn’t get a response from Yoongi. But words don’t need to be said for Jimin to know what Yoongi means.

Chapter 8
Summary:
Jimin stops in his tracks turning around to face Yoongi’s head tilted to the side. “What’s wrong?” He averts his eyes to where Yoongi is looking at only to be met with a photo booth. “Do you want to take photos?”
Yoongi looks at him with pleading eyes, “Please?”

Chapter Text
With Yoongi’s help, Jimin managed to complete the assignments he needed to do. Unlike what Jimin had originally said he decided to get his assignments out of the way first so that he could have the rest of the day to spend with Yoongi. Which ultimately worked out in his favour.
For a while, after Jimin completed the essay and reading assignment, they ended up crashing on the couch and watched some movies. Both pressed up against each other each though there was enough space for them to be apart. But to them, it was almost like personal space didn’t exist anymore.
And Jimin wasn’t going to complain.
If Jimin was being honest he much preferred being near Yoongi. Preferred being in his grasp in his presence. Something about the Alpha was calming. Maybe it was his enticing scent. Maybe it was just because he was a good company. Or because he was his unborn child’s father.
Whatever it was, Jimin felt safe with him around.
He doesn’t know how to describe it. The feeling he gets when he sees Yoongi, the overflowing amount of happiness he gets when his name is brought up in a conversation. How much harder it is for Jimin to pretend they don’t have a personal relationship outside of class. Because they do...and it’s growing more personal.
They’re friends. Jimin knows that much. He knows he enjoys Yoongi’s company. But it’s not just the enjoyment of it. He craves Yoongi’s company, constantly wants to be with Yoongi, sometimes he’ll just text Yoongi an ‘I miss you’ which leads to Yoongi coming over and just cuddling him for hours. They don’t talk, they don’t do anything but cuddle until Jimin manages to fall asleep. And then when he wakes up Yoongi is gone but his scent lingers and that’s enough to comfort him for the time being.
Sometimes, Jimin finds himself pondering over what Yoongi might think their relationship as. Is it just strictly platonic and all the cuddling he does is to help with the pregnancy. Because he knows Jimin is needier in this state? Or is it something more? Something better? Just what exactly did Yoongi feel towards Jimin?
And what did Jimin feel towards him?
He remembers one day after Yoongi had left Taehyung had come into the bedroom wondering the same thing. He asked if their relationship was more than just friends. And even then Jimin didn’t have an answer.
Did he like Yoongi? Sure, he enjoyed their more intimate touches. And sure, maybe he did think about kissing the Alpha quite a few times. He does remember kissing him that night at the party, remembers how good he was at it. He could definitely see them kissing again.
And then he thinks about the baby. For their sake what does he want with Yoongi? What is he supposed to tell his child in the future if they ask about Yoongi and his relationship? ‘Daddy and I are just friends, little pup. That’s all.”
Jimin sighs loudly, brings his hands up to his face causing Yoongi beside him to inch closer. There are no words spoken, just the soft sounds of Yoongi’s breathing as he feels his hands being pulled away from his face and intertwined with Yoongi’s. A tiny squeeze to them has Jimin looking towards the Alpha, a small frown tugging at his lips.
He’s so confused about what he wants now.
Does he want Yoongi as a friend? Or something more?
“What’s wrong?” Yoongi asks, removing their hands and wrapping them around Jimin’s torso pulling him closer until Jimin is pressed up against the Alpha with his back at his chest. “You smell distressed. What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?”
A soft and almost inaudible whine escapes Jimin at being pressed so closely to Yoongi. He’s used to this but still, every time it manages to make his heart flutter. Manages to make butterflies swarm around in his stomach as if he’s some love-struck teenager once again.
He lets himself lean against Yoongi. He rests his head against the Alpha’s chest and just relaxes. Doesn’t say anything about what’s been on in his head. He doesn’t need Yoongi to know about it. How does he explain something when he doesn’t understand it?
All he knows is that he loves being like this. Loves being in Yoongi’s arms, and he wants to stay there. Wants to stay as a piece in Yoongi’s life. As a friend or lover...he’ll figure that out eventually.
“You must be tired still.” Yoongi murmurs resting his chin on the top of Jimin’s head. His hands are still wrapped firmly around the younger Omega, as if he’s fragile and if he moves he’ll break. “We should probably go to bed soon, huh?”
Jimin lifts his head up until he’s met with Yoongi’s eyes locking with his own. “We?” He questions, tilting his head to the side. His heart pulls at the way his mind screams to kiss Yoongi. To just spin around in the Alpha’s grasp, pull him closer and smack their lips together.
Maybe eventually was sooner than he thought.
Maybe Jimin really did want Yoongi.
But that doesn’t mean Yoongi does.
He inhales a heavy breath, moving to pull away from the Alpha but his grip stays firm. He doesn’t allow him to even scoot away from the hold. Yoongi doesn’t want to let go.
“Yes, we.” Yoongi answers offering a small smile.
“You’re staying the night again?” Jimin purses his lips together in thought. “But don’t you have classes to teach tomorrow? Or are you calling in sick again? What about our plans for tomorrow?
Yoongi laughs shaking his head back and forth. “Yes, I have classes to teach tomorrow. We’re gonna go after my last class. It should be done around three.”
“But...you’re staying here tonight?”
A raise of Yoongi’s eyebrow as he responds with, “You sound like you don’t want me to.”
Jimin gasps, quickly stuttering over his words to say no. “T-that’s not-“
Another laugh rips through Yoongi, “You’re so easy to tease Min Min.” He grins, pulling Jimin to the side so he could get a better grip on him to lift him up into his arms. “I’ve noticed you sleep better when I’m here. And since you’ve been working so hard the last few days I figured I could stay again so you get a good night’s sleep. Besides, I’m lazy and I don’t want to drive home.”
“Ah.” It clicks in Jimin’s head as he squeaks at suddenly being lifted into the Alpha’s arms. “So you’re only staying because you’re lazy. I see now.”
“Did you just skip the whole first part of my speech?” Yoongi scoffs shaking his head as he carries Jimin to the bedroom.
“Maybe.” Jimin giggles wrapping his arms around Yoongi’s neck and resting his head against his shoulder. So safe. So secure in these arms.
“You’re a brat.” Yoongi huffs, leaning down to put Jimin on the bed. “You’re lucky I like you.”
Part of Jimin wants to question him on that. Whether he means as a friend or more. But he doesn’t. Instead just waits for Yoongi to lay down as well so they can cuddle once again.
It’s quiet after that. The lights turned off the room, door closed and curtains shut. Jimin is covered with the blanket and Yoongi’s arms. He can feel the soft delicate breathing from Yoongi on his head as he tries to close his eyes and fall asleep.
But his mind ponders on a question as he thinks about the baby. About how they’re shopping tomorrow.
“Hey, Yoongi?” Jimin whispers, in the off chance that Yoongi has already fallen asleep. He doesn’t want to wake him if that’s the case.
“Yeah Min?”
“What do you think we’re having?” Jimin asks, but when he doesn’t get an answer for a few seconds he adds, “The baby I mean. What do you think their gender is?”
Jimin can feel the low rumbling of Yoongi’s chest as he hums in thought. Even he hadn’t thought about it before. The Omega never felt like he had the chance to do so. But now that he can...he wonders. Are they having a boy or a girl?
“Honestly.” Yoongi begins, Jimin lifts his head up so he could look at him. Eyes full of wonder and curiosity. What does Yoongi think they’re having? “I don’t know. I never thought about it honestly. But...I know either way I’m going to love them. They’re my world now. And I’ll do everything I can to be there for them. I’ll do everything in my power to be a good father towards them. And I know you will too.”
Jimin can’t help the fond smile that forms on his face listening to Yoongi’s words. He can’t help the overwhelming feeling of happiness that blossoms in his chest when he knows he can believe those words. When he knows that Yoongi speaks the truth. That he’ll be there for the baby. And him.
He falls asleep that night with a warm feeling in his chest.
——
“You’re going baby shopping without me?!” Taehyung cries as they enter Yoongi’s classroom for their lecture.
Yoongi had left early that morning saying he needed to head home, shower, and collect some things before he headed to the university for work. Jimin was reluctant to let him leave, enjoying the warmth and comfort of the Alpha holding him. But he knew he couldn’t be late and besides, he too, needed to get up and shower.
Jimin couldn’t help but laugh at Taehyung’s upset state. Couldn’t help but find it a bit funny that Taehyung is jealous he’s not joining them for their baby shopping. Though still be self-conscious he glances around the room to see if anyone had heard anything only to realize the room was empty besides them and Yoongi down at the bottom who’s wearing a smile on his face.
Well, he definitely heard.
“I’m sorry Tae.” Jimin pouts sitting down in his chair and beginning to pull out his notebook and pencils. “Yoongi-Hyung asked if we could go together today. If it makes you feel better though I’ll send you photos of the outfits we find so you can help me pick?”
“As the baby’s uncle I should be involved in this.” Taehyung huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. “Stupid Yoongi and his father privileges.”
“I can hear you Taehyung,” Yoongi calls from the bottom. “If you think it’s stupid I’ll do something stupid and lower your grade.”
“That’s just playing cruel,” Taehyung whines shaking his head. “Oh, wait, Yoongi come here. I actually have a question for you two.”
“I told you it’s Professor Min here at school.” Yoongi shakes his head as he walks around his desk and up the stairs.
“You think I’m going to call you that? No one is in here anyway. We’re fine.” Taehyung replies waiting patiently for Yoongi to make it to the top. “Now, so glad you could join us, Yoongi.”
“Jimin, can I fail your friend?”
“You fail him you’ll have Seokjin coming for you. Don’t think you want an angry Alpha do you?” Jimin comments shrugging slightly.
“Okay, you have a point.” Yoongi leans against the desks crossing his arms over his chest. “So what’s up Tae? The class starts soon. People will start coming soon.”
“I was wondering since Jimin just said you’re taking him baby shopping...what’s your plan?”
Yoongi and Jimin both tilt their heads in confusion. “What do you mean?” Yoongi asks.
“When the baby is born. They’re obviously staying with Jimin because I know how my best friend is. If he’s away from the little one he’ll go crazy. But...what about you? Are you guys going to move in together to make it easier for you both to take care of them? Or…what’s up?”
Jimin and Yoongi look at each other. Cluelessness washing over their faces. Jimin hadn’t even thought about that either. Now he’s realizing he hasn’t thought about a lot of stuff.
“Your faces are saying you didn’t talk about this.” Taehyung sighs bringing a hand up to run it through his hair as students start filtering in. “Oh great, and in they come. You two seriously need to discuss this. Figure out your plans for the future. What you’re gonna do both living wise and relationship-wise. Now, Professor Min I’m ready for today’s lesson.”
Jimin can’t help the laugh that escapes him at Taehyung’s comment, sparing a slight look at Yoongi. Only he earns a glare from the Alpha. “Sorry Professor, it is funny.”
Yoongi rolls his eyes, turning away to walk down to the front of the class to begin the lecture as the rest of the students come on inside. Jimin lets out a heavy sigh, looking down at his notebook.
What were they going to do about that anyway?
——
Baby shopping is probably one thing Jimin could never get tired of. Seeing all the cute clothes and imagining their little one wearing them is enough to make Jimin fall in love. He remembers all the times he and Taehyung used to come by these places just for the very reason that they’re adorable. Remembers all the times they used to be like ‘One day when I have my own child I’m gonna get them these.’
Knowing that today is the day when he can finally get them everything he’s ever wanted makes Jimin warm inside. He doesn’t even know where to begin. What does he need to get? Clothes, diapers, shoes, socks, food, definitely the food. What else? Formula, bottles, pacifiers, and a crib.
He didn’t realize how much he needed to get until he thought about it. Kids were more expensive than Jimin had thought.
“Are you sure you want to pay for this?” Jimin finds himself asking as they look around the store for a crib that was just perfect for their little one. “All of this I mean. There’s...a lot we have to get.”
Yoongi looks up from where he’s crouched on the floor reading about the cribs. There’s a nod to his head before he’s pushing himself up until he’s standing once again. “Don’t worry about the money, Min. I want to do this. We have to get stuff for the baby and I’m happy doing this.” There’s a small laugh that follows. “I’m not going to lie. I’ve been saving up actually.”
“Saving up?”
“Yeah.” Yoongi pulls out of the boxes of cribs to read that one over. “I told you, I’ve always wanted to be a father. For years now I’ve been saving up for the day I would finally be one so I can take care of them.”
Jimin stares at Yoongi with wide eyes. Yoongi really was passionate about having a child. The love he already has for their baby showing every second they talk about them. The way he’s so invested in being there, in providing the things they need. It’s...it makes Jimin emotional to think about.
How was he so lucky to get a man like Yoongi in his life?
“That’s so smart.” Jimin murmurs, “I never thought about that.”
From where he’s standing he can see a hint of a smile formed on Yoongi’s face. “I’ve got this covered. I promise.” Yoongi replies, moving to show Jimin the crib. “What about this one? It’s got little animals on it. Elephants, lions, hippos and some others. It’s cute.”
Jimin moves closer to the box in order to see what Yoongi was talking about smiling as he notices all the animals. “It is! It’s very cute. I like it. If you like it then we should get it.”
“Awesome,” Yoongi says picking up the box and placing it in the cart they picked up on the way into the store. “Should we also invest in a high chair or should we wait until they’re older?”
Jimin purses his lips together as he thinks about it. They don’t need it right away, and it would only take up room. “No, I think we can wait a bit. Let’s just get the other things that we need to get for now.”
“Alright. That works with me.” Yoongi nods pushing the cart forward to find another thing on their list.
“Hey...um Yoongi?” Jimin asks as they appear in front of multiple different baby bottles and pacifiers. “What do you think about what Tae said earlier today?”
“Do you mean about when he asked if we were going to live together?”
“Yeah. That.”
Yoongi hums, picking up a bottle and showing it to Jimin before setting it into the cart. “I don’t know honestly. We never thought about that. Never talked about it before and now...well I won’t lie I would love to live with you. But...not at your apartment. It’s tiny and Taehyung and Seokjin are there. With a baby that’s a lot of people.”
He turns around so that he can face Jimin once again, “And I know you’ve been with them for a long time now so I don’t want to ask you to move in with me unless you want to. So I guess...ultimately Min it’s up to you. If you don’t want to that’s fine. I’m more than happy to drive to your apartment to see the baby.”
“I guess…” Jimin inhales a deep breath looking down at his stomach. He rests a hand on it in hopes the baby would help him with an answer. “Give me time to think about it. We still have a while before the baby comes.”
“Of course Min. Take as much time as you to, okay? There’s no rush.” Yoongi smiles, turning back to the rack to continue shopping for the things that they need.
——
Shopping is exhausting Jimin learns. Especially when you’re not shopping for yourself. They spend hours in that store. Debating different colours, styles, whether they need one or two or three of one item. Figuring what size diapers to get, which brands are good and which ones aren’t. And Jimin couldn’t even bring himself to stand next to Yoongi while they were checking out. Too afraid of what the ending total came out to be.
They’re walking next to each other now. It’s nearly seven now and Jimin's stomach is growling. He hasn’t eaten anything since his lunch and now he’s ready for dinner. Maybe pizza sounds good. His baby is going to be a pizza lover.
“If you’d like for now we can leave all these bags at my place?” Yoongi suggests, walking down the marble flooring towards the exits. “Your room is a bit small for everything we just bought. And I have an extra room at my house we can place this all in.”
“Sure,” Jimin replies nodding his head. “That sounds good. Thank you. I don’t know where I’d put everything honestly.”
“That’s why you have-“ Yoongi starts but stops abruptly, as does his walking.
The younger scoffs, “You’re a big baby.” He says as he walks over to the photo booth and sets his bags down. Luckily the mall wasn’t too busy for now. There wasn't a big chance someone would steal their bags.
He waits until Yoongi approaches and sets his own bag down before entering the booth. They both get comfortable in their seats finding it easy to take four photos, giggling along the way. Jimin smiles knowing it makes Yoongi happy.
But before he can leave after they do their four photos Yoongi stops him. “Wait, let's do it one more time.” He says, already moving to pay for another set.
Jimin gets comfortable in his spot once again. Feels the way Yoongi’s arms snake around his torso and pulls him closer as the countdown begins.
Yoongi leans in close to Jimin’s ear, and before he can register what’s going on he hears. “I’m in love with you.” Whispered into his ear, and a photo of his shock being taken.
Somewhere in his mind, it clicks in his head why Yoongi wanted to do a second set of photos, and as the second and third photos are taken he shifts closer. Turns towards Yoongi and right before the fourth picture is taken Jimin pressed his lips against Yoongi’s.
“I think I’m in love with you too,” Jimin whispers as the photos print out for them to take.
Neither of them makes a move to grab them out. Or to move out of the booth though they know they probably should in case someone else wants to take some photos. But instead, they stay locked with one another, staring in the eyes on the one they loved.
“Since when?” Jimin asks. He didn’t expect to be confessed to by Yoongi, didn’t expect him to like him. Or do this inside a photo booth.
“Since the day we met. The first time we met.”
“The party?” Yoongi nods. “You’ve liked me since then?”
“Yeah, I have. I told you I was lucky. This was my second chance with you.” Yoongi says reaching out to hold Jimin’s hand again. “I love you Jimin. You and our baby. And I want to be with you. Not just as your friend. Not just as your baby daddy. But as yours.”
Jimin whines at the words. Feels the happiness fluttering inside him again as he nods his head. As he tells Yoongi that he wants the same thing. That he wants Yoongi in his life.
He doesn’t give Yoongi another chance to respond. Instead pulls him close once again and kisses him. That’s his response.
That they’re together. They don’t need fancy words to express it.
Him and Yoongi are one.
A couple.
Jimin couldn’t be happier.
“We should probably get out of here before someone yells at us for hogging the photo booth.” Yoongi laughs pulling away from the kiss. As much as Jimin wishes he could kiss Yoongi longer right now, especially since these are their first kisses as a couple, he knows Yoongi has a point.
“Yeah. We should probably go get something to eat. I’m starving.”
“Your wish is my command, my love,” Yoongi replies finally letting go of his grasp on Jimin. He moves out of the booth first, holding the curtain open so that Jimin can get out as well.
“My love. I like that.” Jimin hums as he gets out, thanking Yoongi for holding the curtain for him and grabs the bags once again.
“Well then, my love shall we go get dinner?”
“We shall.”

Chapter Text
If there was one thing Jimin was looking forward to a little more than his graduation, it was definitely Spring break. Every year since they began college Taehyung and Jimin made it a tradition to go to the beach for their break. A place they could relax, not worry about their classes, and make memories that would last them a lifetime.
It always helped that Seokjin joined them and brought along a picnic for the three of them to share while they sat in the golden sand, swimming clothes damp with water, and feet occasionally getting washed over by the shoreline. Watching the sunset together always reminded Jimin of why they came back, why they chose this place to be their special vacation every year. Why they always returned whether it was cold or not.
Finding seashells, sea life in the ocean, splashing at each other until their hair was soaked and they couldn’t see because the water was in their eyes. Running around the beach as if they were little kids having the time of their lives, building sandcastles that ended up being ruined by the ocean or crushed by them running through it purposely.
Whatever it was, Jimin always looked forward to Spring break. Always was a bundle of joy when he and Taehyung would talk about their trip. When they would discuss how long they wanted to stay out there and when they would leave and return. They had one week of vacation to enjoy before they were back to studying for the final tests of their college career. With the thought that after this he’ll be busy until May and a reminder that very very soon his baby will be born, Jimin is in desperate need of this vacation.
For now, though, he’s got to get through his final class of the day. And of course, it would be Yoongi’s.
Jimin isn’t going to lie. He loves the man, loves Yoongi to pieces and he can’t imagine life without him. But sometimes Jimin just wants him to shut up and not be his teacher anymore. He could do without the numerous amounts of assignments that Yoongi gives them to do. And since Jimin insists there’s no special treatment between them he’s stuck doing them.
He doesn’t mind doing the assignments. If it was any other teacher teaching the class he would still them without any problem. They are a vital part of the class and Jimin knows that. But...Yoongi could really be a bit nicer with how much he asks them to do.
He’s getting ready to pack his bag up. A glance at the time on his phone shows class should be over in about five minutes which means soon he and Taehyung can go home and pack their bags since they’re leaving tomorrow. Unlike the last times, Taehyung and Jimin both agreed that they should stay longer than normal since this is their last Spring break. So that meant leaving tomorrow and then coming back home that following Saturday.
It’s not like they had any assignments that needed to be done during the week so there was no reason for them to rush home. No reason for them to stay near campus when this is their time.
Of course, that’s what Jimin thought anyways. Perhaps he spoke too soon?
“Also,” Yoongi’s voice speaks up, his deep voice speaking low but still loud enough for even Taehyung and Jimin in the very back to hear him. “You have a reading assignment and essay you’ll need to complete over the break.”
There’s an echo of groans filtering through the class at Yoongi’s words.
Beside him, Taehyung sighs loudly and turns towards him. “Minnie,” he whispers, and Jimin moves closer to hear him. “I love you. And I love your boyfriend because he’s the father of my nephew or niece. But please let me murder him right now.”
Jimin can’t help the soft giggle that escapes his lips as he looks down at his stomach. He’s showing fully now. And like he feared a long time ago many people stared, many people wondered who the dad was. There was talk about he was an unmated Omega but nothing else was said, and when people realized Jimin wasn’t reacting to what was being spoken about him everything dropped.
Now, no one cared about his pregnancy. Though many asked when he was due and what the baby’s name and gender was.
He was due soon. Very soon.
But he and Yoongi refused to learn the baby’s gender. Decided it would be best if they were surprised when they were born. With that decision however they hadn’t thought of baby names.
Maybe during the course of Spring break, Jimin will message Yoongi and they’ll talk about it. If the baby was due soon then they were running out of time.
Jimin is pulled from his thoughts at the sound of people leaving the classroom. Bags getting picked up, notebooks getting stuffed inside and murmurs about the very stupid assignment that they were given. He turns his head to realize Taehyung is packing up his bag as well before he remembers that it would be smart to do that too.
“You can’t murder my boyfriend.” Jimin laughs, finally replying to what Taehyung had asked him a few minutes prior. “I kind of need him right now.”
Taehyung whines, glaring towards where Yoongi was packing up his own things. “Just a little?”
“How do murder my boyfriend ‘just a little’?”
“Very carefully?” Taehyung shrugs, swinging his backpack around his shoulder.
“Min. Tae,” Yoongi says catching their attention. “Come here.”
Jimin looks Taehyung as he picks up his own backpack. A baby blue bag with the words “lover” detailed on the front of it. It was a bag Taehyung had gotten for him while he was out shopping for his own things when Jimin had been sick in bed. He remembers Taehyung had the same one matching in a light pink colour but it broke early in the year due to all the textbooks he carried.
Now he just used a dark red bag that was covered in writing from Seokjin. Little messages saying ‘I love you’ littering the entire bag in multiple colours, languages, and sizes. Jimin can still remember watching Seokjin look up how to say it in all those languages. Remembers him being cautious so Taehyung wouldn’t see until he was done.
He remembers the bright smile on Taehyung’s face when Jin finally revealed it to him. The way he ran into Seokjin’s arms and kissed him all over his face until Jimin reminded them he was there.
Together they walk down the never-ending stairs to where Yoongi is standing behind his desk waiting for the two of them. When they reach the bottom Taehyung crosses his arms over his chest.
“I’m going to guess you aren’t happy about the assignment. Are you Tae?” Yoongi asks, an amused look on his face.
“Not in the slightest.” Taehyung replies shaking his head, “Jimin and I have plans this break.”
“You do?” Yoongi looks towards Jimin. “You didn’t tell me?”
“Sorry.” Jimin offers an apologetic smile. “We’re going to the beach. It’s a tradition of sorts. We do it every year.”
At the mention of the beach, Yoongi smiles widely looking between the both of them. “I see. I guess this works out then.”
“What works out...exactly?” Taehyung asks cocking his head to the side.
“I was actually going to ask you guys if you wanted to join me and my friends. My parents own a beach house and we’re staying there for the week. You’re more than welcome to join us. There’s plenty of rooms for everyone.”
“Your parents own a beach house?” Taehyung questions voice laced with shock.
“Yeah. It’s pretty nice.” Yoongi replies shrugging. “You don’t have to join if you want to keep the tradition between you guys going. I just figured it would be fun for all of us to be together since they want to meet you Jimin, and I know you’ve been wanting to meet them.”
Jimin nods his head. He has been wanting to meet his friends. It’s been months since they’ve already begun dating, months since this all began and yet it’s always been Taehyung, Seokjin, him and Yoongi. He’s never met Yoongi’s friends. He’s heard about them, knows their names, knows that the one named Jeongguk is Yoongi’s best friend and yet best friend or not they haven’t met.
To Jimin this seems the perfect opportunity. To spend time with them, get to know everyone and make even more memories with more people.
Glancing over at Taehyung, he sees the younger Omega is debating what to do in his head. It’s almost like he can see the gears turning in his head. “What do you think Tae Tae?” Jimin asks.
“This was our tradition at first, then we invited Seokjin, so I guess…” Taehyung looks towards Jimin with a smile. “Yoongi is family now. We share traditions amongst our family. I think it sounds fun, and I’m sure Seokjinnie will like being able to cook for more people. He always loves getting compliments.”
“Knowing Jeongguk,” Yoongi speaks up, “He’ll love Seokjin-hyung’s cooking. Trust me. That boy loves food.”
“Well, it’s settled then.” Jimin says smiling at his boyfriend, “When do we leave? Tae and I haven’t started packing yet. We weren’t leaving until tomorrow.”
“Then we’ll leave tomorrow.” Yoongi laughs, picking up the beige bag he used to hold all the papers and assignments he uses for the class.
“Wait. What about that assignment you gave us?” Taehyung blurts out as Yoongi starts towards the door.
“Oh. Right that.” Yoongi hums offering a shrug. “Don’t worry about it. And Jimin before you say anything, no it’s not special treatment. I gave the assignment but most won’t do it anyway. I’m curious to see how many people actually do an assignment they’re given during their break.”
“That’s not fair. I would totally do it.” Jimin whines, his turn to cross his arms over his chest.
“Yes, Min, I know.” Yoongi laughs opening up the door that closed after the students left. “As I said, don’t worry about it. Listen to your Professor. Now let’s go.”
“Taehyung, I give you permission now.”
——
“So you’re the infamous Jimin.” A tall bunny-like male says it’s easy to tell by the way he stands arm wrapped a smaller male with curly red hair that they’re a couple. If Jimin reminds correctly then the bunny-like male is Jeongguk and the one he’s with would be his boyfriend Hoseok.
Which made the one with his arm already wrapped around Yoongi’s neck Namjoon.
At least he figured that out before they actually introduced themselves. He felt like he learned a lot from Yoongi now.
“Yeah.” Jimin nods his head slowly, looking at the couple. “That would be me. What gave it away? The pregnant part?”
“No actually...it would be you’re smaller than Hyung and he had been boasting about that the entire time. It was easy to recognize you, but if I didn’t know that you were smaller than yeah it would be that you’re pregnant.”
“Well…” Jimin glares at Yoongi who has a sheepish smile on his face. “I’m like barely smaller than you.”
“But you’re still tiny, baby.”
“Says you. You’re like a little kitten.”
“At least I’m not the only one who thinks that.” The man around Yoongi says, “I’m Namjoon, by the way. The one who called you small is Jeongguk and the quiet one is Hoseok. But I should warn you now. Hoseok is only quiet until he warms up to you.”
So he did get them right.
A smile pulls at his lips, “It’s nice to meet you all. I’m excited to spend the week here with you.” Jimin replies looking back at Taehyung and Seokjin. “Oh, and these are my friends. Taehyung, otherwise known as my best friend. And his boyfriend Seokjin.”
“It’s a full house,” Hoseok speaks up for the first time. “It’s been a while since we’ve hung out together, and met new people. I’m excited.”
“Well, we have a whole week.” Yoongi hums moving from Namjoon’s side closer to Jimin. He reaches his hand out and takes the bag the Omega is holding and smiles. “I’ll show you three the place. I’m sure the others are gonna go down to the beach now, right?”
“Of course we are.” Namjoon smiles, “I’ve got to find crabs.”
“Every time you come here you look and yet you never find any. When are you gonna give up?” Hoseok asks as they depart down the walkway to the ocean.
“Never!” Jimin hears Namjoon yell watching as he rushes down to begin his search. He can’t help but laugh at that turning back to look at Yoongi.
“Your friends seem nice.” He comments following as Yoongi leads them inside the house.
“They are.” Yoongi replies, “Tae. Jin-hyung. I didn’t know if you wanted a room closer to mine and Jimin’s or if you were okay with being by the others. So there are two rooms for you to choose from.”
“We’ll take the one closest to you and Jimin,” Taehyung says without missing a beat. “My best friend is due soon and if I’m not near him and miss it I will go crazy.”
“I doubt you’ll miss it, babe.” Seokjin laughs, “We’d have to take him to a hospital anyways. So you’d be one of the first in the car beside Yoongi.”
“Good.” Taehyung chirps.
——
If Jimin thought that the beach was fun with just Taehyung and Seokjin he never imagined what it would be like if he had more people. If there were friends he could be with. The things they could, the stories they could tell.
It’s been three days into their vacation and already everyone is being friendly. As if they’ve all known each other for years and years. They’re all surrounding the fireplace that Yoongi and Jeongguk managed to get lit after finding the matches in the kitchen.
Seokjin came up with the brilliant idea that they could get cooking sticks and put hot dogs on them for dinner. It made it easier for him, and everyone could stay present for their time together. There’s also marshmallows but Taehyung and Jimin ended up eating all the chocolate beforehand unaware of what it was for.
Maybe another time they could make some S’ mores.
“So…” Hoseok begins, looking at Yoongi and Jimin who are sitting next to each other hands interlocked with each other. Just like Namjoon had mentioned, Hoseok is a lot less quiet once he warms up to you. But it’s a comforting less quiet. He’s the type of bright sunshine-like person you want in your life. “Have you decided on the baby’s name?”
Jimin stills, head turning to look at Yoongi who in turn is also staring at him. “Uh…” He tries, but there’s not much to say. They haven’t after all. “I was planning on texting Yoongi this weekend while Tae and I were here but now that we’re all together...do any of you have any ideas?”
“Do you know the baby’s gender?” Namjoon questions, eyes focused on the fire rather than them. Something about the swirling flames, the crackling of the wood, and the orangish-red colour is intriguing. Capturing.
“No.” Yoongi answers this time, “Jimin and I decided we wanted to be surprised.”
“That doesn’t make it necessarily easier on us.” Namjoon hums, “I suppose we could offer ideas then. And then when the baby is born you can decide then.”
“What about your plan?” Taehyung mentions. All eyes turn towards him and he squirms. “I remember you talking about it once Jimin, but did you decide your living plans?”
Jimin lets out an ‘Oh’ sound before he’s turning to look at Yoongi once again. “I never got back to you on that, did I? After we talked about it during baby shopping a few months ago.”
“Nope.” Yoongi shakes his head, “You said you wanted to think it over.”
“Oh.” Jimin giggled quietly, “Well I thought it over and...if the offer is still open I’d like to move in with you.”
“It is still open. It always was open and always will.” Yoongi smiles holding his arms out to hug Jimin. “I suppose we’ll be busy then after the break is over.”
“Yeah, we will.” Jimin laughs, “But I see five other people here who could help us.”
“Of course!” Hoseok chirps, “Family helps family. We’ll be there.”
Small talk erupts amongst them after that. Talks about what they do in their daily lives, how they came to know each other, and many good (bad) jokes told by Seokjin that ends up making them all laugh.
Jimin finds his eyes traveling to the sky where the sun is beginning to set. Watches the colours of the sky change from it’s blue, to yellow, orange, pink and purple.
“It’s beautiful.” Jimin whispers. He doesn’t notice that Yoongi is staring at him as he watches the sunset. He doesn’t notice the look of love in his eyes. Of fond endearment.
“You’re beautiful.” He hears in his ear. It reminds him of the day Yoongi confessed to him in the photo booth. Reminds him of how he timed it just perfectly, of how happy that day was for him. How truly in love with Yoongi he was.
Jimin looks at Yoongi. A flush on his cheeks as he smiles at the love of his life. “I love you, Yoongi.” He speaks quietly, forgetting the rest of their friends are there.
“I love you, Jimin.” Yoongi murmurs before leaning in and pressing a kiss to Jimin’s lips. It feels perfect. It is perfect. He’s here with Yoongi. Right where he wants to be.
Right where he’s happiest.
“Hello?” Namjoon says interrupting them. “There’s a single present. Go to your room if you’re going to be all gross.”
Jimin pulls away with a giggle turning back to the sunset with Yoongi’s hands in his.
Having Yoongi in his life really is a blessing.
——
It’s breakfast time when it happens. Seokjin, Jeongguk, and Jimin are inside making food for everyone while the rest are outside enjoying the morning breeze. Or rather, Seokjin and Jimin are making breakfast whilst Jeongguk eats it which almost gets him thrown out of the room.
It’s nearly eight in the morning, bright and early for them considering they went to bed so late. But no one wants to miss a chance to have the time of their lives right now.
Jimin is pouring apple juice for them to drink. Something Hoseok specifically asked for, but also something Jimin ended up craving so they bought a lot of it. He swears from where he is inside the house he can faintly hear Namjoon screaming, “I found a crab!”
But then it hits him. The first painful feeling in his stomach that has him dropping the juice onto the ground and leaning onto the counter for support. It’s a sharp pain that comes, enough to make Jimin let out a whimper.
But the pain alone is enough indication of what’s going on.
“Jimin?” Jeongguk is quick to be by his side, worry clouding over his face. “What is it? What’s wrong?”
He can’t see him, but he can feel Seokjin’s eyes staring at him. Can feel the intense worried gaze.
“T-the baby. I-I think they want out. Now.” Jimin breathes out, keeping his head lowered as he holds himself up against the counter. The apple juice is still spilling all over the floor, covering Jimin’s feet and he could really use without it right now.
“Oh crap. Oh crap. Oh crap.” Jeongguk says, and then Jimin doesn’t feel his presence anymore. Instead, all he hears is, “YOONGI!”
There’s shuffling of feet everywhere but Jimin can’t make out who’s who, or who’s even in the room right now. All he knows is that his baby wants out and he wants Yoongi.
He can feel someone beside him, and a towel at his feet probably trying to clean up the Apple Juice mess as quickly as they can so he doesn’t slip trying to move out of it. Can smell the distress on Jeongguk - the poor Omega panicked and probably freaking out a lot.
The sound of people running is what brings Jimin’s attention to the back door in hopes that Yoongi is there. And when he spots him standing there, mouth opened to inhale breath he smiles slightly.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Yoongi asks rushing to his aid, being mindful of whoever is cleaning below Jimin. A glance down shows that it’s Seokjin. “Is it the baby?”
Jimin nods his head slowly, another shot of pain going through him. He lets out another whine, another cry of pain hanging his head low again as he exhales a breath. “T-they want out.”
“We need to get to the hospital,” Yoongi says, already moving Jimin out of the Apple juice to pick him up. “Taehyung, in the car now. You’re driving. Seokjin, I’m assuming you want to come too. So let’s go. Namjoon, you’ll meet us there?”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
“Alright. Let’s go.” Yoongi says, carrying Jimin out the front door which Taehyung rushed to open and out towards the car so they could get to the hospital. “Don’t worry Min. It’ll be over soon. Our baby will be here soon.”
——
Hours later after everything is done, Jimin lays his head back against the hospital pillow. Sweat dripping down his forehead, and completely out of breath. But he smiles.
He smiles and lifts his head off the pillow. Smiles and looks at Yoongi, and then done to their little baby boy. A beauty.
Jimin brings him up to his lips and presses a kiss on his head. A sniffle ripping through him as his eyes well up with tears.
He’s a father. He and Yoongi are fathers.
“Welcome to the world little Jaehyuk.”

Chapter Text
The sound of crying is enough to rip Jimin out of his sleep. Or rather, what he could consider a nap. It’s rare that he or Yoongi manage to get a full night’s sleep nowadays, but when they do they’re thankful for it.
Beside him, he can see Yoongi stir as well. The little cries of baby Jaehyuk waking him up immediately and he’s sitting up without a second thought. It was something they had to get used to quick. Minimal hours of sleep despite how busy they would be later on in the day.
It’s been nearly a month since little Jaehyuk was born. A month since everyone hurried together to help Jimin move into Yoongi’s place before final exams came and went. It was times like those when Jimin was truly thankful for the family he had. Truly thankful to have them in his life.
Jimin wasn’t going to lie though. Getting used to constantly being on his feet to keep an eye on Jaehyuk was a bit tricky. There were times when he just wanted to shut them and sleep away the entire day. But one cry here, and two bottles later Jimin would be wide awake watching as his son slept.
He didn’t regret it for a second. Having Jaehyuk was truly a blessing. The happiness he brought to both him and Yoongi, to Taehyung, Seokjin, and the others. He was their little ball of sunshine as Hoseok would call him. Someone they all appreciated in their lives.
With a yawn, and a push of the blankets Jimin makes his way out of his bed a small whine falling off his lips from being pulled from his sleep. He glances back at Yoongi who’s still sitting up staring at him, a small smile on his face as he says, “He gets his whining from you.”
Scoffing, Jimin only rolls his eyes and flips the switch so the lights turn on much to Yoongi’s disapproval when he lets out his own whine pulling the blankets over his head to shield away from it. Jimin barks out a laugh at his boyfriend before leaving the room and heading down a door to get to Jaehyuk’s room.
Since Jimin hadn’t allowed Taehyung to join him when he was baby shopping he insisted that he was able to paint, decorate and furnish Jaehyuk’s room the way that he pleased. Unfortunately with the final exams they had coming up through Taehyung barely had any extra time to do so. So for the time being the room was just painted a light purple colour and a few dinosaur stickers were decorating the walls.
But now, with everything over...Jimin wonders if Taehyung will be over soon.
Though, even with its unfinished state Jimin still loved the room, still loved what Taehyung was doing and was eager to see what the ending result would look like.
Walking up to the crib Jaehyuk is laying in, Jimin tries to calm him down with whispers of “Daddy’s here”, “Don’t cry baby Jae”, and “I got you, don’t worry”. Picking him up, Jimin cradles him to his chest for a few moments before realizing the cause of his crying and carrying him over to the table to change his diaper.
He can hear someone walking down the hallway, instantly recognizing it as Yoongi and glances at the doorway as he appears. His hair is all over the place, sticking up in multiple directions, eyes squinted as if he’s still waking up and arms crossed over his chest. There’s a fond smile on his face as he enters the room and walks up behind Jimin.
“Changing his diaper?” Yoongi asks as he wraps his arms around Jimin’s waist, resting his head on the Omega’s shoulder. Jimin leans into the touch as he grabs another diaper having pulled the other one-off already.
“Yup. All in a day’s work.” Jimin replies, reaching for a wipe to clean Jae before he fixes the new diaper on him. “He slept a lot longer than I expected him to. It’s what...nearly four? I thought we would be awake around two honestly.”
“Well, it’s a good thing we didn’t. You need all the sleep you can get today.” Yoongi murmurs, pressing a delicate kiss to Jimin’s neck.
“What’s today?” Jimin questions, as he straps the diaper together before lifting Jae into his arms. He doesn’t have a clue what today is. If he was being honest he assumed it was just another day with them bringing Jae over to Seokjin before he went to class and Yoongi went to go teach.
“You’re kidding, right?” Yoongi asks shocked. He pulls away from where he’s holding Jimin, instead placing his arms on his shoulders and turning him around. “You graduate today, silly.”
Oh. Oh, that! Right. He is graduating today.
After four years all that hard work finally paid off and today was the day he finally got his degree. “Oh.” Jimin lets out a laugh, holding Jae out for Yoongi to take to put back in his crib. “It completely slipped my mind. What are we doing with Jae today then? I can’t keep him and neither can you.”
“Seokjin and the others are going to be there. So I asked them to watch over little Jae for us.” Yoongi replies, taking Jaehyuk into his arms and walking over to the crib. Jimin watches as Yoongi rocks his arms back and forth to soothe Jae, whispering a soft lullaby they learned from Taehyung that he sang to his younger siblings before laying him down in the crib once again.
Yoongi turns back around and reaches out for Jimin’s hand. Sparing one more glance at Jaehyuk in case he begins crying once again, Jimin takes Yoongi’s hand and allows himself to be dragged out of the room towards their own bedroom. “Let's go back to sleep. We have about four hours before we have to get up to get ready. If Jae wakes up again I’ll take care of him, okay?”
Jimin nods his head taking his hand from Yoongi’s grasp as he plops on their bed and lays down. He waits until Yoongi lays down as well, inching closer to be held in his arms and it doesn’t take long before sleep takes him once again.
——
Graduating was definitely scary. Sure, Jimin had gone through it once before when he finished high school but he didn’t go to a big high school. He didn’t have many people that were there to see him. But now, this college was huge.
The only thing that managed to calm him slightly was the fact Taehyung was graduating with him. Having his best friend be by his side the entire time was something he was grateful for.
It wasn’t an over the top ceremony. Considering how many people were graduating it would have taken forever if they did anything more than just a few speeches and then calling everyone up for their diploma. And really, Jimin was glad that was it.
Sure, he thought he looked cute as hell in their school colours. But it was hot and he wanted to be out of their outfits and in some air conditioning. Plus, he wanted to see Yoongi and little Jae again. It’s only been a few hours and yet he misses the little one like crazy.
From where he and Taehyung are seated he can see Seokjin and the others on the sidelines. Can see Jaehyuk resting in Jeongguk’s arms probably asleep but that’s it. He doesn’t know where Yoongi is despite the fact he should be with the other professors, and they’re progressing through the line of people getting their diplomas. Jimin would hate if Yoongi missed when he got his.
Beside him he can see Taehyung fidget, hands coming up together twirling his thumbs as he awaits the moment his name is called. With a smile on his face, Jimin reaches out and places his hand on top of Taehyung’s squeezing it lightly.
They got this. They came this far. It’s one little diploma that will shape their future and then they’re free.
No more exams. No more assignments. No more studying cramming. Jimin can’t say no more sleepless nights because of Jaehyuk but the thought is nice at least. But now he won’t have to worry about being apart from Jaehyuk as much until he finds a job.
And that’s okay with him.
“Kim Taehyung.” The school advisor announces into the microphone causing Jimin to burst out in applause. He can hear the others clapping as well.
“That’s my fucking boyfriend! You go Tae Tae!” He hears Seokjin yelling at the top of his lungs. He doesn’t blame him. Had it been he who was watching Taehyung graduate from the sideline he would have screamed something similar.
He doesn’t miss the bright smile on Taehyung’s face as he takes his diploma. He doesn’t miss the way he smiles for the camera that captures their photo. And doesn’t miss the way Taehyung stares right back at him and gives the biggest boxy smile he’s ever seen.
Then it’s his turn.
“Park Jimin.”
Again, their friends erupt in an outburst of cheers and as Taehyung passes by Jimin as he walks to get his own diploma he gives him a huge pat on the back.
“That’s my fucking best friend!” Seokjin screams once again, this time earning a choir of shushes. Jimin has to hide his laugh as he takes his diploma.
He scans the crowd, looks for Yoongi to see if he’s returned because he’s still not with the teachers. And a look towards his friends shows he’s hidden himself amongst them with Jaehyuk in his arms and the proudest smile he’s ever seen.
Jimin really does love that man.
He offers a bright smile back towards Yoongi before he spares a glance at the camera and poses with the plaque.
They finally did it.
Jimin bounces down the stairs towards Taehyung, a giggle ripping through both of them as he plops down and waits for the rest of the ceremony to finish. Just a few more rows of people and then they’re free to go.
——
“You did it! I’m so proud of you!” Yoongi says approaching Jimin as soon as the ceremony is over. Jimin doesn’t waste a moment taking Jaehyuk in his arms, already reaching out to take him after giving his diploma over to Namjoon to hold. “It all paid off, didn’t it?”
Jimin nods his head, “It did. No more tests, or assignments or essays. I’m so glad I don’t have to do any more essays for your class.”
“Hey.” Yoongi pouts, “My essays weren’t that bad.”
“Babe, you should have seen how much you gave us to do. And those essays were dreadful. I think Tae and I plotted your murder a few times.”
“I am hurt.” Yoongi scoffs, crossing his arms over his chest. “After everything, I do for you.”
“I love you.” Jimin smiles leaning forward to press a kiss to Yoongi’s lips.
“I love you too,” Yoongi replies, moving to wrap an arm around Jimin’s waist.
“Hey, Yoongi. Jimin.” Hoseok says catching their attention. “Namjoon invited us to his place. He said we were gonna celebrate for a bit.”
“I don’t know…” Jimin begins glancing down towards Jaehyuk. “We have-“
“I have a crib for Jae.” Namjoon interrupts before Jimin can finish. “You didn’t expect me not to, did you? If I’m gonna babysit the kid sometimes I’m gonna need the right things. A crib is mandatory and I have the space for it. So, don’t worry. He’ll be safe in the bedroom.”
Jimin glances towards Yoongi who in response nods his head as if urging Jimin to say yes. He sighs, it can’t be too bad, after all if Namjoon says he has one then he doesn’t see why he can’t go. “Fine fine. But I’m not drinking any alcohol.”
“That’s fine. Hoseok said he was gonna get some Apple Juice.” Namjoon laughs. “He’s addicted or something.”
“I don’t blame him. Apple juice is amazing.”
Namjoon smiles, “Well, I’m gonna go with them to the store so we’ll meet you over at my place?”
“Sure Joon.” Yoongi answers, “We’ll be there soon. I just need to talk to Jimin first. Uh...Seokjin. Could you take Jae with you to Namjoon’s house?”
“Yeah sure.” Jin says nodding and holding out his arms to take Jaehyuk from Jimin. But before he gets the chance Jimin leans down and presses a kiss to his forehead before he’s passing him over.
Jimin watches as Jin takes Jaehyuk into his arms and walks with Taehyung, the two chattering amongst themselves. Jimin swears he hears Seokjin say something along the lines about a reward later that night and instantly regrets hearing it.
He turns towards Yoongi when it’s just the two of them left. Head tilted to the side he finds himself curious as to what Yoongi wanted to discuss. “What’s up, babe?”
“It’s not much really,” Yoongi says bringing a hand up to rub his neck as his other hand goes into his pants pocket. “Just that I have a little gift of sorts I wanted to give you while it was just us two.”
“Oh?” Jimin turns his body to face Yoongi, an amused look covering his face. “What is it?”
“It’s...well I’ll show you.” Yoongi hums, pulling whatever is in his pocket out to reveal a grey box. “Before you think whatever you’re thinking...I’m not proposing. It’s not the right time, not here and not yet. One day I will, but for now…” Yoongi opens up the box to reveal a silver ring with an Opal stud in the middle.
His birthstone.
“O-Oh wow. Yoongi.” Jimin says in pure shock, eyes staring at the ring. He can’t bring himself to look away. “It’s gorgeous.”
“It’s a promise ring.” Yoongi explains, “I’m promising myself to you, Jimin. That I’ll always be here for you through everything. The big things, the little things, the good things, and the bad things. I’ll be here every step of the way.”
“Y-Yoongi I-I don’t know what to say.” Jimin stutters face flushed and hands covered his mouth.
“You don’t have to say anything,” Yoongi replies pulling the ring out of the box and holding his hand out for Jimin’s so he could slide the ring on.
It’s all a bundle of emotions he feels piled upon himself and as he lets Yoongi have his hand the rings get puts on there are tears falling. Happy tears.
Jimin hugs Yoongi tightly, “I love you so much Yoongi. So so so much. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“I love you too Min. Always have and always will.”
