Chapter 1: The Split

Chapter Text

                                                                                                    Chapter 1

Bakugou huffed against the bitter cold. He was hiding, and he was ready. There was a villain that needed to be eliminated. No, captured. Not killed. Control yourself Bakugou.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps alerted Bakugou. He grinned and felt the sparks in his hands tingle. As soon as the villain rounded the corner, Bakugou was ready. He quickly slammed his palms into the villain’s chest and sent a small explosion that sent the villain flying backwards. The goal was to capture the people who were supposed to be villains. This was a test set up by Aizawa.

Before the test began, Aizawa had told the class that there was another ‘special’ part of the test. This part of the test was supposed to determine more than half of the student’s score. Whatever the other ‘special’ part of the test was, Bakugou was determined to figure out how to succeed it.

Bakugou grinned as he inched closer to the ‘villain’ he sent flying back. He quickly pulled out the handcuffs that were supposed to be used to ‘lock up’ the villain.

“Please don’t lock me up,” the fake villain pleaded.

“Shut up!” Bakugou spat. He quickly cuffed the fake villain and walked him back to the fake jail. This is so childish, he thought.

Just as Bakugou was about to leave the fake jail, he heard a weak squeaky voice calling out his name. DEKU.

        “Bakugou watch out!”

Suddenly, the green nerd shoved Bakugou aside and punched a nearby villain that Bakugou didn’t even notice. Bakugou growled in frustration. “You damn nerd! I don’t need your help!”

Bakugou jumped in the air and blasted off using his explosions. He needed to find another villain and gain points. He scoped the area below him as he flew and jumped. The scene that was used was an old burned out city that looked as if it was attacked. In this case, it was. Finally, Bakugou spotted someone. He grinned and landed on a building.

The villain was a person he did not recognize. This was odd since the other fake villains were either people that were hired to act that he had seen before, or the teachers themselves. The fake villain was also looking around as if they were REALLY trying to hide. Bakugou continued stalking the villain until they went into an alley. Bakugou knew he had to go into the alley now. He couldn’t lose sight of this suspicious figure. However, Bakugou wasn’t stupid. He knew that this could be part of the villain’s plan and that he should enter the alley prepared and dangerous. Bakugou grinned and ran his tongue across his teeth at the challenge.

As soon as Bakugou entered the alley, he immediately made sparks fly out of his hands. He had been running around and sweating the majority of the time. This meant that his gauntlets were ready to do a full charge blast or AP shots if he needed them. Bakugou entered the alley slowly and cautiously. As soon as he moved a few steps deeper, a shadowy figure darted to Bakugou’s side. Bakugou quickly spun around and shot but missed the figure. Suddenly, Bakugou was struck. It wasn’t a strong powerful strike like one of a regular quirk. This strike felt different. Abruptly, his head started hurting. It was worse than a migraine he got whenever Deku was around. This was a SPLITTING headache. Bakugou then felt anger boiling up. However, that anger quickly vanished. Then, he felt sadness. That quickly vanished as well. His emotions were quickly vanishing before he could comprehend them. No, they weren’t vanishing. They were leaving him! Bakugou then looked around in horror as he was suddenly being split into multiple copies of him. There were Bakugou’s everywhere!
