Chapter 1: [Super State by SonnieCelanna]
Chapter Text
Izuku gulped as he entered the room.
He, along with the class of 1-A, and a few other UA students, had been summoned by Nezu to the school’s ‘viewing room’, a dark room that was basically an in-built movie theatre.
Izuku looked around the room and spotted the rest of his classmates talking with each other, a few of the teachers: Aizawa, Midnight, Present Mic and Power Loader discussing something, and the Big 3 was playing with Eri.
Mei Hatsume was tinkering in the corner with some sort of glove while All Might talking with his mum in his deflated form… wait, why was his mum here?!
“Mum? What are you doing here? I thought Nezu said he had something to show us?” All Might was spooked by Izuku’s arrival, the hand that was placed on Inko’s darting back to his own lap.
Inko smiled at him, giving him a quick hug.“Oh, Izuku sweety! It’s so lovely to see you! I feel like it's been forever! Mr. Nezu was nice enough to invite me to watch whatever it is that we are going to watch! He said that he needed my permission for something really cool and I gave it, so All Might was kind enough to drive me here!”
All Might smiled at the boy, and Izuku smiled back, glad to know that his mum was here. It had been too long since he had seen her last. He was about to continue talking when the door Izuku had walked through opened once again, showing Nezu riding on a stranger’s shoulder.
“Greetings everyone! Am I a rat? A dog? A bear? Who knows! All you need to know is I’m principal Nezu!” The stranger that he was perched on walked to the front of the room and placed Nezu on the floor.
“I’m sure you’re all wondering why I have summoned you here, so please, everyone take a seat! I will explain everything shortly!” Everyone followed his orders, sitting down in their assigned groups.
Izuku blushed as he bumped elbows with the girl to his right. “Hey, Uraraka! I wonder what Nezu is going to show us! Do you think it’s this guy’s Quirk? I don’t see any visible mutations mutter mutter mutter mutter mutter ”
“Mr Midoriya, please calm yourself, we will be explaining why you are here now,” Nezu said, standing in front of a podium. The man beside him joined him on the podium and bowed to the group.
“You may refer to me as Logar, my codename. My Quirk is called [Timelines] . It allows me to bring out a visual representation of the various ways a person’s life could have differed. Before you ask Yaoyarozu, yes I can see the look on your face, my Quirk indeed does prove the Multiverse Theory correct.”
He waved his hands over the crowd. “Now! Normally I don’t leave the government facility I live in, but I owe Nezu a favour, so here I am! I will be working with one student, who has been selected already, to view alternate timelines of yourselves, to see if we can get some insight into our own world.”
Izuku’s face brightened. “Because some things might be the same, we could get crucial information about our own enemies! That's so cool! I have so many questions about your Quirk!”
Logar laughed. “In time Mr Midoriya, but for now, could you please come up onto the stage, you are the student that my Quirk will be focusing on.”
There was a bit of a ruckus as people started murmuring, all of it interrupted when there was an explosion from behind Izuku. “WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TAKING THE NERD UP? MY ALTERNATE LIVES ARE BOUND TO BE FUCKING COOLER THAN HIS!”
Before anyone could respond, Bakugou was pulled back into his chair by some invisible force and felt the killing intent behind him, silencing the boy.
Inko had dragged him back with her Quirk and was glaring at him. “Katsuki Bakugou, is this how you treat your elders? I wonder how Mitsuki would react seeing her son behave this way.”
Bakugou gulped. Neither of them really had to wonder what Mitsuki would do. It would be a copious amount of smacking Katsuki over the head, and even more yelling than her son normally did.
Nezu clapped his paws together and smiled. “I assure you that Mr. Midoriya was chosen for a good reason, one that should be apparent to anyone who knows the truth. The rest of you have been cleared for this secret because you would most likely not be able to participate in this viewing if you weren’t.
Izuku paled and looked quickly to All Might, who nodded, and Bakugou, who scowled and shrugged his shoulders. He sighed and stood next to Logar.
Logar smiled. “If that's all well and done, I would like to begin this session! Please be warned, while I can apply some directions to the general tone of the universe we view, I am unable to choose specifics. This means that there might be things that do not sit well with some of you. You are free to leave at any point, although you must return soon afterwards. Is this agreeable?”
There was some deliberating, but eventually, everyone agreed. “Excellent! Now, Mr Midoriya, are you ready?” Logar asked, and Izuku nodded. “Wonderful, let us begin…”
He placed his hand on Izuku's forehead, and the boy seemed to fall asleep, slouching over. The screen behind him lit up pure white before colours started to fade in.
The rest of the room’s lights dimmed, giving them a clearer view of the alternate universe they were about to watch...
To say Inko Midoriya was worried about her son would be the very definition of an understatement. The plump mother had always been a worrywart her entire life of course but this was different.
Inko gasped as she appeared on the screen. She hadn’t expected to be the first person to appear, and she was embarrassed to be described as a ‘worrywart’ near immediately.
Ever since Izuku was just a small child who had heard the tragic news that he had no powers to speak of in a world filled to the brim with super-powered individuals, life had been hard for them both.
It wasn’t long after the news broke that the boy’s father had a sudden job opportunity in America that would pay better, that he ‘absolutely had to take’ for their sake. The pay didn’t change; he just didn’t want to be associated with Izuku.
Inko’s eyes began to fill up with tears as she thought about her own version of Hisashi. Was that why he left? Or was it just this reality's reasoning? She hoped for the latter. All Might put his hand on hers and squeezed it, smiling at the woman.
Todoroki’s eyes narrowed watching the scene.
Not even a year later and the stress of the situation was catching up to the mother fast, as her figure began its spiral from slim and desirable to rotund from all the comfort food. On the bright side at the least, it made her a much better cook for her son, even if it was a minor thing to take solace in.
As for Izuku himself… She didn’t fail to notice the light in his eyes dimming every day. The way his bouncy excited movements became more reserved and tame as though he was trying to keep himself quiet and hidden away.
Even the usually disinterested people (read: Bakugou) were entranced by the screen. Bakugou had seen the same thing in Izuku’s eyes as they had grown up, but it had always rekindled whenever Izuku said he was gonna be a hero.
So why wasn’t it coming back in this timeline?
And the worst part was whenever she washed his clothes, she almost always found small bloodstains and tears. the first few times resulted in crying fits and now she just… expected it.
Kirishima jumped up in his seat. “Bloodstains?! What the hell! That’s majorly fucked up! Who would be hurting him like that?!”
He missed how Katsuki flinched.
It was horrible and she hated it but because of Hisashi’s departure, and the fact that the only extra money she had was from government payments to help with property replacement during a quirk manifestation that had been taken away, she had no feasible way to move out of their apartment and put the greenette into a better system.
It was hardly the last thing she noticed about her son’s rapidly worsening life either. The worst part either had to be the burn marks or his “failing” grades.
She didn’t need to be a genius to figure out the origins of both problems either. The first was without a doubt the work of his supposed ‘best friend’ Katsuki Bakugou.
Bakugou huffed as he faced the killing intent of almost everyone in the room. Nezu and Aizawa filed the information away for later and motioned for everyone to look back at the screen.
“We will be dealing with the similarities after we have finished. Everyone should just focus on the screen for now.”
The thought brought many emotions to the front of her mind when she thought about it but chief among them all was just a lack of surprise. The greenette had been friends with the boy’s mother and on her own as a person she was a bit of a handful, but enjoyable and understandable if a bit feisty.
However, while Inko didn’t want to be rude, she knew for a fact the woman never should have been a mother. Her actions and attitude were the exact kind of thing that would bring about a complex in a younger child and it was apparent that it had happened in Katsuki.
Bakugou huffed again as Inko grimaced. She loved Mitsuki like a sister, but she found herself having to agree with her alternate self. Her attitude to life and her temper made her… less than an ideal role model.
And now Izuku was paying the price.
The other problem in a messed up way brought far more anger to her. At the very least, Katsuki was barely older than a toddler and simply just didn’t know better. It was horrible and she hated it but she understood it.
The ‘failing’ grades were something much worse. The mother had made a habit of checking over her son’s work all the time just before it was due in, making sure to confirm answers for herself even if she didn’t give help to him before letting him go so she knew when he was being screwed over and being screwed over he was.
Both his maths and his Japanese lesson’s would often come back with abysmal scores for perfect answers and when she’d finally had enough and stormed into the school one day, she’d found out just how far some horrible adults were willing to go with their discrimination against a child who just wanted to be loved because they had been replacing his work with lesser ones and outright erasing some of his answers.
Everyone gulped as they swore they could see an evil glint in Nezu’s eye as they heard that bit. Nezu turned to Inko slowly. “Excuse me, Mrs Midoriya, could you please tell me the name of your son’s middle school? I have some people’s careers to ruin.”
He heard a laugh from Bakugou. “Oi, Principal. It’s called Aldera. It’s a fucking shithole, you’re better off just razing the whole fucking place to the ground and building a new school.”
Nezu nodded and wrote down the name of the school, and many of the teachers at Aldera suddenly had a chill run down their spines.
She was beyond disgusted and her displeasure had been known to the school, along with the evidence they were faking. Nothing had ever brought her as much anger as the principal's response.
He’d said he’d make sure it doesn’t happen again, simply waving it away like it didn’t matter. What was much worse though often repeated in her mind every now again ready to ruin whatever enjoyable moments she had.
“I see no reason to change past scores. It won’t make a difference to a Quirkless child’s career prospects either way.”
Nezu growled. Literally growled. He walked outside of the room for a second while people murmured quietly. Most people were confused. Yaoyaorzu was the one who spoke up first. “He is Quirkless in this other timeline? That is quite unfortunate for him. I know that Quirkless people are not treated as well as they should be.”
Inko smiled at the girl, internally wishing that Izuku had had people like this around him for his childhood instead of the people at his previous schools.
It never failed to make her blood boil. And on top of every last bit of this, she was stuck forever feeling guilt with the fact that of all the people hurt her son with his Quirkless nature she had been the first.
He had to want to be a hero. The one career path in the world that actually needed a quirk to be attainable. He had to ask her if it was possible…
She could have told him he could be one, and preserve his dream but slowly and surely help him adjust to the truth over time so it wouldn’t hurt as much. She could have dealt with all the heartbreak at once and shut him down but kept him safe and hopefully made amends through his life.
Instead, she had to choose the worst possible action at that moment.
“I’m sorry, Izuku!”
Aizawa’s eyebrows raised, he had been told nearly the same thing as a child. That his Quirk wasn’t hero worthy. And while he at least had one, he was curious about how this Quirkless Izuku would end up.
The class was still either shocked that Inko had said no to Izuku, or gushing over how cute baby Izuku was. Uraraka was blushing while Mina smirked at her.
All the heartbreak without a definitive answer, and it was a moment that stuck with them both she was sure. The lack of answer soon led to her son deciding to try anyways which she couldn’t bring herself to stop as she watched on in pain as he wrote away notes in his notebooks about every pro he saw, as If they’d somehow help him bypass the lack of his own quirk.
There was a general murmur of approval from the teachers when they saw his notes, agreeing that they were better than expected for a boy his age. Aizawa wrote himself a reminder to ask Midoriya about his notebooks, just as Nezu returned, grinning evilly.
For her, the moment stuck because of how much she’d hurt her own child without meaning to. It was a moment that had popped up more than once in her nightmares on the worst nights and usually it far surpassed any other scenario because it had already come to pass.
So of course, she began to do the only thing she could think of to make up for it. At every single opportunity, she made sure to do her best to always be a shining beacon of safety for her child. Of course, that was her job as a mother anyways but she went out of her way to do practically everything for him whether he asked or not to help.
Inko was fully crying now, this universe’s version of her was nearly identical to how she had handled the situation. And while she was trying to be supportive of Izuku as he went to UA, she still regretted her past actions.
It wasn’t for naught at least as the effort meant that every day, for the ten years since he’d been diagnosed when he returned from school at the least he would give her a small if potentially fake smile.
She knew when they were fake, and it was common but even a fake smile took some energy to maintain that meant he at least cared enough to try, and sometimes that was all she could really ask for.
Uraraka frowned as she saw Izuku's forced smile. She agreed with this version of Inko. They were very clearly fake, but it was a marginally good thing that he was still trying to be happy.
So when for what was more or less the first time in an entire decade of effort, her son had walked into the house and she’d hurried from the kitchen as she always did to greet him and let him know what hero news he missed at school.
This time however there had been two very noticeable differences. The first was that parts of him were covered in slime, like someone had used a quirk she’d never seen before and much more importantly….
He was pretty much completely unresponsive. He’d let out little more than a grunt to her greetings before he collapsed on the couch with a forlorn look.
And at that moment, she just knew that whatever was coming next would be hell for at least one of them.
Bakugou had tensed up at the mention of slime, and All Might’s eyes were wide, wondering if it was going to show one of the moments he regretted most in life.
“Sweetie?” She’d asked, raising a brow in concern as she took a seat beside him, placing a hand on his leg. “Is something the matter?”
“…”
“Did someone use another quirk on you?” she asked, knowing the bullies had a track record for going far beyond normal shoves and blows at times. The response she got practically stopped her heart in her chest.
Mirio spoke up. “I know I’m not very familiar with Midoriya or his mum, but the fact that that was her first guess is really messed up. Like, I was bullied a bit because of my gimmicky Quirk, but no-one ever hurt me for it...”
Eri squirmed out of her seat and walked up to the front of the room, sitting in Izuku’s lap as the boy had been propped up on a chair. She grabbed onto one of his hands, nuzzling into the boy’s chest. ‘Deku might have been hurt too… I have to help him like he helped me!’
“Villain attack.”
“WHAT?!” Multiple yells were heard.
“WHAT?!” Her arms quickly wrapped around the child in worry as she pulled him in, eyes going wide. “Are you ok?! What happened?!”
“….Robbery. Villain wanted to use my body to escape.” He explained vaguely, gripping tightly at the threads he was concentrating on. He pulled off his bag slowly, like it took all the energy he had and he pulled out his book, handing it to her. She gasped as she realized he’d opened it to a page with a specific signature. “All Might saved me. He was in the area chasing the villain and I got to talk with him for a couple of moments.”
All Might flinched and removed his hand from Inko’s, readying himself for the fallout of the words he knew were coming soon. Nezu looked at him pointedly and frowned slightly.
“Sweetie that’s amazing! I know he’s one of your favourite heroes!” Inko said, happy for him and smiling before she saw the look of utter anguish on his face and her heart dropped.
“….I asked him If I could be a hero without a quirk.”
“Oh, honey…” He didn’t need to elaborate for her to immediately understand what had happened. She moved to pull him into a tight hug. “I’m so sorry…”
Inko had devolved further into crying, and people were glaring at All Might, already being able to guess what he had said from the alternate Izuku’s mood. Uraraka was especially angry, a deadly look in her eyes as she stared at All Might.
Before her arms could get around him however, he suddenly stood straight up and bolted to his room, a slam coming from the door and her heart ached. It ached for his shattered dreams, but it also ached because that was the first time in the boy’s entire life that he’d rejected his mother’s comfort and affections.
In fact, it was the first time he’d ever shown his hurt so clearly in a long time, and Inko….
Inko had no idea what to do.
“Hey, look at Midoriya!” Someone called as the green-haired child stared at his desk dejectedly waiting for class to begin. Like always, there were harsh messages scribbled across the top just small enough that you’d only notice as long as you were near to it. “He looks like a zombie!”
“You mean ugly as a zombie?” Another voice asked as absent-mindedly traced the U in a comment with the word ‘Useless’. He was used to blocking out the taunts and jeers. One of the girls let out a cruel laugh before talking to themselves.
As people started to arc up about these kids' treatment of Izuku, Nezu raised his paw. “Calm yourselves children. An investigation has already begun into our own version of Aldera, and I can assure you that if anything like this happened in our reality, it will not go unpunished.
“He’s always been that. He looks more pathetic than normal though.”
“Alright, what the fuck, you shitty nerd?” The familiar angry voice of Bakugou asked, barely managing to get the greenette to look in the blonde’s direction with a small explosion. “Finally realized how much of a worthless shit stain you are?”
There was a smack as Uraraka punched the boy in the face. “How dare-”
“Yeah.”
“-you… Deku?”
“You’ll never be a-“ Suddenly, the blonde stopped and blinked. “Wait, what did you just say?”
“…”
There was a moment of silence as it sank in, and then Katsuki lost it.
“DEKU WHAT THE FUCK?!” The angry teen growled, punching the boy’s desk and setting off an explosion. “ALL THESE FUCKING YEARS AND YOU JUST FUCKING STOP?! WHAT THE SHIT YOU ASSHOLE?!”
Jirou made an ‘ugh’ noise. “Is he seriously getting angry about Midoriya doing exactly what he wanted him to do?” They looked over at Bakugou. “Guess you’re an ass in every universe.”
“…”
“ARE YOU REALLY THAT FUCKING PATHETIC?! AT THE LEAST I THOUGHT YOU HAD MORE PERSEVERANCE THAN THESE OTHER MORONS YOU BASTARD!”
Jirou made another angry noise. “Is this some convoluted form of encouragement? Or do you just become irrationally stupid when angry?” Bakugou growled.
“Shut up before I rip your earphones off and plug them into your ass.”
Wow, Bakugou complimented Midoriya, even if in an insulting kind of way. That was something that never happened and it caught many of their classmates by surprise that no one said anything in response to that jab.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?!”
“Thanks for your advice yesterday, Kacchan. I’ll keep it in mind for the future.” The greenette said, without a trace of sarcasm or really anything but defeat in his voice. Most were just confused about what he was referencing but the three boys who had been there shared looks of disbelief.
Most people were confused. ‘What advice would thisBakugou give him?’
Considering he’d essentially been told to kill himself that didn’t bode well.
Bakugou was narrowly saved from another knuckle sandwich, courtesy of Uraraka again, by Aizawa’s capture weapon. “ Sit. Down. If this happened in our own reality, we will deal with it. You have to remember that this is an alternate dimension. If you cannot separate that in your mind, You will be asked to leave.”
Uraraka grumbled, but nodded, and was placed down in her chair by Aizawa’s capture weapon.
“….Tch. Fuck you Deku.” Was all the blonde seemed to think to say as he went back to his seat, his entire rant amazingly forgotten as their teacher finally walked in.
There wasn’t another comment made about the Quirkless boy that day, mainly out of confusion of what was even going on with him.
Even after a few days had passed, Izuku was still no better than when he had walked into his house and explained what had happened to his mother.
Once he’d done that, he’d ended up running to his room to cry and once that was out of the system it was like his emotions just… switched off. Questions directed his way rarely got more than hums and one-word answers just to assure whoever was talking to him he heard them
Inko was crying again, and All Might was staring at the screen in despair. What if this had happened in their own timeline? If Izuku hadn't run in to save Bakugou, All Might was sure that he would have missed out on the perfect successor for One for All forever.
He couldn’t bring himself to care about even something as small and important as eating. He was just drifting by at the moment, surviving in a horrible limbo state where he could only replay the day over and over in his mind when he wasn’t distracting himself with menial tasks.
It had been a more or less ordinary day, if a little more exciting with the debut of Mount Lady but it quickly devolved with Kacccan’s verbal abuse reaching a new height and his physical abuse being more focused on his property.
He just had to do that, just had to make Izuku take the long way around to grab his book and get stuck in happier memories. Make him show up and just the right moment for the slime and All Might to show up.
Of course, once the greenette had seen his chance, he had taken it, clinging onto the man for dear life as they soared through the air. For the briefest of moments the villain he managed to capture had slid away in the chaos but the man had grabbed It just in time as he landed before berating the boy.
There was a yell from multiple people as they saw All Might take off with Izuku in tow. Had their own Izuku done that? All might have realised that this universe was probably different because the sludge villain had been kept secure, making it so he never got to see Izuku’s heroic spirit.
Then he had to go and ask that stupid, stupid question….
All Might flinched as he was wracked with guilt.
“Izuku? Did I get you a flavour you don’t like?” His mother’s voice suddenly brought him back into the current moment and he sighed. In both their hands were chocolate ice cream cones they had gotten while taking a walk through the park.
“It’s a good flavour.” He commented lamely, giving a half-hearted attempt and eating it before stopping and continuing on, ignoring his mother’s worried gaze.
Inko sniffled as she watched. She was beside herself with guilt and anger and… a million other emotions. Regret was a major player in her mind, showing her images of her own treatment of Izuku.
She had been at it non-stop this week, doing every last thing she seemed to be able to think of to find a way to improve his mood. Old tapes of them together were dug out, an outing to a new movie that most certainly wasn’t cheap, a more fancy dinner at a restaurant and now even just a simple walk in the park together to try to clear his head.
It seemed she was pulling out every stop she had to try to help him. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate it but he still just couldn’t find it in him to care anymore.
Yaoyarozu, who had studied psychology before, sighed and placed her hand on her chest. “These are all signs of incredibly potent clinical depression. To think that our own classmate could have gone through something similar to this..”
Uraraka balled up her fists and tried to not cry for Izuku. She failed.
“…Hang on one moment, sweetie.” Inko suddenly requested as she hurried off somewhere. He just nodded and continues to try to work his way through his ice cream at a pace that would make a snail look like it was the fastest creature in the universe. “-don’t mind?”
“Of course not! Always got to be willing to lend a hand, even if it’s not the usual kind.” A gruff voice said, making the greenette look up to see all the people his mom found, Death Arms and Mount Lady. “So, you’re the kid huh?”
“You’re a cute one.” The female pro commented with a small smirk, before humming. “Hey, I could have sworn I saw you at my debut!”
“…I was there.”
“Oh yeah, you were at the back taking notes.” Death Arms chuckled in realization, while the elder Midoriya just looked confused though not necessarily surprised. “So, here you’re quirkless and a little down about it right now.”
“Not gonna lie kid, being quirkless sounds like it sucks.” The gigantification pro admitted, before getting a light hit in the shoulder and a warning glare from the super-strength pro. “But! You can still do awesome things if you put your mind to them, right? Maybe pick up an instrument and learn, or start helping sell hero merch!”
“Wow, way to be subtle. Do they not teach you how to talk to civilians properly in the Hero course?” Most people were surprised that Mei Hatsume was watching, as well as the fact that she seemed to realise what bad social cues were.
Nezu shook his head. “We do, but Death Arms did not go to UA. I cannot say if other schools have that sort of curriculum.”
Mei huffed and turned back to the screen, looking more focused than anyone had ever seen her.
“If you’re in the habit of taking notes about pro’s.” Death Arms cut in while rolling his eyes, reaching into his pocket and taking out a picture of which he seemed to have many. “Then maybe even consider looking into becoming a professional analyst for new heroes. There’s plenty you can still do, and one of those things is getting an autograph!”
Nezu stroked his chin. “He’s an analyst? I may have to have a bit of a chat about his notes with Mr Midoriya after this…”
With that, he gave the greenette the photo of his which was pre-signed and the pro gave thumbs up. Mount Lady hummed, reaching into what appeared to be the only pocket in her outfit and pulled out a pen, quickly scribbling on the back of the picture. “And mine as well! Shame you gotta see this mug before my beautiful penmanship.”
“Oi! I’m way better looking than those scribbles.”
There were a few chuckles. ‘Way to stay focused, Mt Lady.’
“Thank you,” Izuku said simply before the two could argue, giving a deep bow. His facial expression hadn’t changed at all. The two shared a glance with his mother who just looked saddened.
“Well uh, just keep it in mind kid.”
He nodded. It didn’t matter. All he wanted to do was to be a hero, he already knew he could do anything else but none of that would help now.
Aizawa sighed inwardly, rubbing his eyes. ‘Seems like he’s as determined to be a Hero as our own Midoriya. I’m going to bet this is a theme.’
He was thankful to have met the two heroes, but perhaps really any other time would have been better.
Soon enough, he was on his way with his mother and his mood hadn’t changed at all. What did he even have to feel out of this emptiness?
Regret, self-pity, anger and sadness. Maybe it was for the best he’d shut down like this.
“Deku! Don’t give up! I’m sure if anyone could become a Quirkless hero, it would be you!” Uraraka’s sudden yell spooked a few people, and Inko just smiled at the girl.
Logar chuckled. “Unfortunately the other Izuku will not be able to hear your encouragement, Miss Uraraka. But you are correct. From what I saw earlier, there are quite a few Quirkless Hero Izuku‘s out there in the multiverse.
All Might smiled at that. It was good to know that his
son
successor would be successful, even without One for All.
It had been an entire week since the incident with All Might had happened and Izuku was still not really there, as he carried a heavy basket filled with groceries for his mother around on her newest venture to cheer him up.
They were at a special shopping district, ‘the Mile Market’, named for the fact that it was a street lined with shops for exactly a mile. It was a public street where vendors could set up for free, so it could be different every time someone meant making it perfect for multiple outings while often being able to serve a practical use at the same time by selling stuff.
Without a doubt the most popular attraction of the city, and also really the only one. Much like everything else though, Izuku found he lacked the ability to care as they made their way through the street while purchasing things they needed from the vendors, the younger greenette quiet all the while.
“Look at how broken he is…” Amajiki’s whisper wasn’t loud enough for most to hear, but Mirio put his arm around his friend’s shoulder and squeezed.
He was even more distracted than usual really, unable to get the decision he’d made in his class that day out of his head. It had been time to finally submit forms for where everyone wanted to go for their high school and the greenette had his last opportunity to put anything besides U.A. down just to be safe.
To know he had a future, even if not the one he wanted.
And instead left it and submitted fully with the knowledge it would more than likely end in nothing but misery for him.
Izuku stirred slightly, arms wrapping around Eri as he made a sad face for a second before he went limp again. Apparently their Izuku disagreed with that statement.
“Izuku?”
“…hm.”
Inko sighed, stopping and turning to him with sad eyes. “Son, we really need to talk about this state of yours.”
“….”
“It’s not healthy, and I’m really starting to worry about you.” She sighed, clenching her fist. “I want to help you feel better but nothing I’m doing is working. Please, if there is anything just tell me. I can’t stand seeing you like this.”
“….I-“
“AGGHHHH!” A sudden scream grabbed both their attention and they turned to see a villain storming through the street all of a sudden, jets of water streaming from his hand and ruining the stalls around him into wreckages and throwing people down.
“A villain! Can’t this Izuku catch a break?! What is he an anime character?!” Everyone elected to ignore Kaminari, although now that Nezu thought about it, Izuku’s life was similar to many shonen tropes.
“ALRIGHT FUCKERS GET DOWN NOW!” He demanded, and the two greenette’s complied immediately. Admittedly, even if it wasn’t a positive emotion, Izuku was definitely feeling something now. Worry and fear. “THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE GONNA DO. YOUR GONNA GIVE ME EVERY LAST VALUABLE YOU HAVE, EVERY SINGLE BIT OF MONEY ON YOU AND IF YOU DON’T IT WON’T BE PRETTY!”
“I’m glad that the heroes arrived swiftly! It is both their and our duty to be there to help protect the innocent at all times!”
A few people chuckled in reaction to Iida’s impromptu speech, but most were focused on the villain.
“No one is going to be handing anything to you, villain!” A gruff voice called and relief flooded the two Midoriya’s momentarily as they saw Death Arms and Mount Lady approaching. The latter may not have been massively useful in a place like this but any pro to help was welcome at the moment. “This was a terrible decision on your part! A public place such as this is where you chose to attack?!”
“They shouldn’t have been here.” The quirkless boy barely heard the water villain hiss, then he turned to the two and time froze as their eyes locked. The villain suddenly blasted towards him and his mom and before he could register what was happening a spray hit him hard enough to blast him back into a nearby wall and collapse into the ground. “DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING NEAR ME YOU TWO, OR I’LL TURN THE FATTY’S INSIDES TO MUSH WITH A PRESSURE WASH!”
“Inko!/Mama Midoriya!/Mrs Midoirya!”
Bakugou growled at the villain on screen, his hands unconsciously popping off with sparks. As rude and abrasive as he was, no-one messed with Inko Midoriya and lived as long as he had anything to say about it.
The younger Midoriya weakly raised his head as It ached and his eyes widened with horror as he saw the villain stepping on his mother with a hand to her head, her face betraying her sheer terror.
His body shook as the world slowed and he really realized what he was seeing.
His mother, the only person in his life to remain constantly with him, never leaving his side and always doing everything she could even into this past week trying to keep him happy.
The only family he had, and really only friend for that matter. His own flesh and blood was about to be murdered in front of him…
(Clouds, dark and grey began to fill the sky.)
“What was that?! Was that a Hero's Quirk?” Kirishima yelled over to Nezu, who shook his head.
“No, Mr Kirishima, there are no registered heroes in the Mustafu area that have the ability to control the weather to such effect. I believe that this might be the Mr Midoriya of this universe’s doing.
And he was as powerless as ever. Unable to do anything.
He was so pathetic he couldn’t even save his own damn mother! He was just some weak, worthless nerd with nothing to him who was just a punching bag.
(His fingers dug through the solid concrete, pulling it away as his nails began to break and his entire form continued to shudder.)
Kaminari cheered. “Look at him! He’s ripping through concrete with his fingers! Is this his Quirk manifesting? He’s super strong in our universe too!”
She was going to die because of exactly what he’d always been told, the fact he was a powerless loser.
(Lightning struck right at his side, destroying the cart beside him. Another struck the wall behind, caving it in.)
SHE WAS GOING TO DIE AND HE WAS GOING TO DO NOTHING BUT SIT THERE AND WATCH?!
Inko gasped, hating seeing her baby in so much pain. All she wanted to do was reach through the screen and give the boy a hug.
“No! NO! NOOO AGAHHHHHHHHHHHH”
All eyes were fixated on him in shock as the ground beneath him cracked and crumbled. His once non-existent muscles swelled up and most of his hair spiked into the air in a new style as it’s green and black colour faded into a vibrant glowing gold that left everyone stunned.
“Ok, that is definitely not his Quirk. That's literally just him going Super Saiyan! Is his Quirk in this world being a Saiyan? Cause that would be incredibly powerful, given Goku and Vegeta’s track records…”
Everyone stared at Momo as he went on her tangent. Mina squealed. “Miss Yaoyarozu enjoys watching shonen Anime! That's adorable!”
His head jerked up and his eyes were revealed to them all. They were a glowing turquoise colour that struck a chord into all their hearts.
And all he could see was red.
Kaminari squeaked. “Remind me never to piss off Midoriya please Jirou, I don’t think I could take a beat down from a Saiyan.”
“Izu….ku?!” Inko coughed out, in such a massive combination of emotions that it was near impossible to pin down a specific one. The pros were stunned beyond belief, having recognized the kid from the park and remembered how he was supposed to be some powerless and quiet kid.
Aizawa huffed, “Powerless my ass, if that kid is an actual Saiyan, then he’s gonna be stronger than fucking All Might at some point”. He ignored the stares given to him for knowing what a Saiyan was.
Now, he practically looked like another person. In fact, there was almost a case to be made that he looked like a miniature All Might with much spikier hair and a far more intimidating aura around him.
“What the hell!? STAY BACK, KID!” The villain shouted, raising his hands for a moment and firing at him in a shocked panic. That was when he moved or more accurately, that was when he finished moving.
Once the spray stopped and the villain looked again the child was gone and so was his hostage. All eyes looked around for them, and they settled far down the other end of the street, barely visible at the distance were the two Midoriya’s.
“Holy shit he’s fast! I wonder if all the other Midoriya’s we're gonna see are this Manly!” Take a wild guess who said that.
Inko laid on the ground still in pain and absolutely flabbergasted. Since when could her son do THIS?!
“Don’t worry Mama Midoriya! I would be flabberghosted or whatever that word was as well if I saw that!” Mina smiled at Inko, and the woman just nodded, looking worried for her alternate son.
Midoriya, stood tall. Where he was in the right state of mind, the sensible thing to do would be to get away, but he most certainly was not in the right state of mind.
All he could feel at this moment was a torrent of fury, and a target in the water villain. In less than a second, he was back behind the villain and his fist came down.
SMACK!
“AHHH!” The villain let out a painful cry as he collapsed in a heap. The teen wanted to do so much more but very barely he finally managed to get a loose grip on himself, just enough to focus on what was really important.
Kaminari cheered “Holy shit he knocked him out in one hit! And look how far he went! This Midoirya is a fucking badass!”
Getting his mom away.
He was beside her at a speed that seemed more like teleporting than actual movement to anyone but him. His own eyes made it easy to see every single moment of it, like they had gotten faster with him.
No-one said anything as Izuku flashed out of sight for a moment, too shocked to speak. That was even faster than their own Izuku was!
He picked up his mother with one hand, keeping her over his shoulder which was no small feat of strength, and then he was off again.
It took them an hour and forty-five minutes when they had walked to the market originally. It only took thirty seconds for them to get back with this sudden newfound speed.
The now golden-haired teen bolted up the stairs to their apartment, stopping and gently setting his mother on the couch before standing back. Without a focus now, the pro’s already likely having handled the villain, his rage began to subside and very suddenly his new form disappeared.
His hair dropped down, returning to normal along with his eyes. His muscles shrunk back into the thin twigs they were before finally, it all caught up with him.
Momo gasped. “Oh my Goodness!, he’s an actual Super Saiyan!. Even base-level Goku can destroy planets, what would Super Saiyan Midoriya be able to do? He could be stronger than All Might!”
As dark spots began to appear around the edge of his vision and he fell back into his seat, his mother still thoroughly confused as to what just happened, he uttered out the only explanation he could currently think of before he lost his grip on the waking world.
“I have.. a power?”
The screen went dark.
And then chaos erupted.
“And that was actually Midoriya from another timeline?!”
“Dude, he manifested his Quirk to defend his mum! How freaking Manly is that!”
“He was quite impressive! I wonder if he will ever reach the level that Goku and Vegeta have attained!”
“Can we go to the next universe? This is super cool!”
Bakugou just lowered himself into his chair. He pitied the alternate him. He would never admit it, but he had watched Dragon Ball and all of its sequels. If that version of Izuku was an actual Saiyan, then the alternate Bakugou was fucked.
‘But who knows, maybe it's just a Quirk that looked like a Super Saiyan transformation.’ Bakugou thought, definitely not pulling at strings to comfort himself and soothe his pride.
Logar clapped his hands. “Alright, everyone! While that wasn’t very helpful for your future endeavours, I do admit that it was entertaining, even if a few parts were a bit angsty.”
The screen started showing randomly coloured orbs as Logar waved his hands around a bit. “I have selected another universe for our viewing. Again, I am unsure of the specifics of the universe, so be warned.”
He clapped his hands, and the screen lit up a forest green colour. He sat down, and the next universe played.

“Shit!”
All Might spat out a little blood in surprise while Kaminari jumped up from his seat “What!? Did Midoriya just swear?! Midoriya just swore! I thought that was illegal!”
Inko was looking at the screen with a motherly glare, and everyone was cowed by its intensity. She continued watching the screen, worry leaking into her stern gaze.
Why was this happening to him? All he wanted to do was to go on lots of adventures, maybe save a princess, and become a famous adventurer like All Might was! Sure, he never really thought that there was a chance it would happen, and he was aware of the dangers, but he really didn’t think that he’d die on his first quest!
“Adventurer? Like in an RPG? Now that I get a look at him, what's up with his clothes?! And is that a sword? Who gave the green bean a sword?!”
Everyone elected to ignore Kaminari’s ramblings, most of them too focused on the scene to care.
“Oh crap oh crap oh crap!”
First quests were supposed to be easy! Not giant wolfspiders!
“GIANT WHAT NOW?!” Midnight yelled out, although with the volume it was at, you could have guessed it had been Present Mic. While Midnight might exude an aura of aloofness and confidence in her hero persona, she was actually quite the Arachnophobe.
Izuku slid under a random log that had fallen and down into a ditch that was home to a small creek, just in time for that log to be shattered into splinters by a pair of slobbering wolf jaws that could easily swallow a horse! A giant spider leg slammed into the side of the ditch sending dirt flying and making Izuku ever so slightly grateful that he had brown pants.
Wolfspiders weren’t supposed to get this big! Not in the slightest! They were just supposed to be the size of a cat with an abnormally large dog head! They were great housepets! Not a pet the size of a house!
“Ok. I don’t know what this world is, or what exactly happened to make it THIS different from our world, but that Giant Wolfspider is scary as hell guys. Is this Midoriya gonna die?” Sero was then smacked by Mina while Inko’s worried expression deepened.
“Seriously!” Izuku scrambled to his feet - mostly - and continued to run trying his hardest to avoid what was more than likely certain death. “Why is this happening to me?”
He was born under the stars of the Deku sign, that meant he was supposed to have good luck! It was a really great sign for a hero, in theory at any rate. It was good for casters, rangers, and rogues, which Izuku wasn’t. He was a swordmage, which was nowhere near considered the best class in the world, as anything it could do, a fighter or caster could do better, and those were two of the most common classes in the world. Then there was his Quirk, a special ability that almost everyone had; if he had something like spell strike, or still spell, then it would have been a lot better, instead, Izuku’s Quirk was probably the most boring it could have possibly been.
Tsuyu put her finger to her chin. “Seems to me like this is more of a fantasy setting, in contrast to our real life, which is, to them, more like science fiction. Classes, magic, all of these points to a fantasy world.”
Logar chuckled. “You are indeed correct Miss Asui. Seems to me that this Izuku lives in a magical and medieval version of our world!”
Ambidextrous: In short, anything he could do with one hand he could do the other, it made things like dual-wielding or lock picking much easier. On its own it was fine, rogues liked it but it didn’t do anything that other quirks couldn’t do better.
Kirishima sighed. “Compared to the last Quirk, this is one positively boring! He’s not even a rogue! Could you imagine Midoriya being all edgy and stuff? Just doesn’t fit him.”
A few people had to stifle chuckles at the idea of Izuku trying to be super angsty. The mental image they all got was similar to a corgi trying to intimidate someone.
The problem with all of this was that luck didn’t help with swordmages, and a swordmage required one hand to be free for casting spells, so he couldn’t dual wield. In short, none of his stuff worked together and he should have given up and been a merchant or a farmer like his mother wanted!
All Might shook his head at the screen. Even in this universe, where he had a Quirk, and magic existed, it seemed like the multiverse intended to screw his successor over.
Well, at least if the giant wolfspider had its way, his misery would be gone real quick.
Even if he wanted to fight back, he couldn’t! He had dropped his sword and his spellbook back when the creature had first appeared and started chasing him around the forest!
He did not want to be eaten by an oversized house pet! Izuku ducked under another fallen tree and leapt over some rocks, narrowly avoiding the creatures snapping maw or it’s large hairy legs that slammed down with the force of thunder. Why the hell was this thing so persistent? What did he do to earn its wrath?
“Hey dumbass! Look, there’s a giant elk over in that direction!” He pointed towards the large six-legged deer with white fur and green symbols etched into its fur. Fuck, did he really just try to get the wolfspider to go attack a forest spirit? Shit shit shit!
“This version of Midoriya seems to have quite the unlucky streak, as well as a potty mouth! I thought he said he was born under a star of good luck?!” Iida yelled, waving his arms around so fast they were blurring slightly.
Logar nodded. “Under the Deku star, yes. I do not think it is a lucky sign per se, more of a... this child has a higher than average chance of becoming a hero. Or maybe this string of bad luck is to counteract the coming good luck?.”
If either the forest spirit or the wolfspider gave two shits about each other, it was in the mutual understanding that the wolfspider was going to eat the loud obnoxious little shit running through the forest. As evident by the way the forest spirit calmly ate some grass and the wolfspider promptly tried to bite Izuku one more time for good measure.
It missed. Barely.
But even then, Izuku could feel its hot, moist breath snarling behind him as he continued to run along the ditch, hoping that the low angle would give him just enough space to avoid the creature’s snapping jaws. This had to be revenge for that one time he squashed a spider, wasn’t it?
Everyone in the room had a small montage of every spider they had killed and started sweating in fear of giant wolfspiders coming to retaliate. Hopefully, they would be safe in an alternate reality.
Hopefully.
Come to think of it. “You shouldn’t even exist in the first place!”
If the creature was aware of its unusual existence, it didn’t even care. Rather all it wanted to think about was having Izuku for its next meal. And lunchtime was soon.
Izuku felt his heart sink when he looked up ahead. He was running towards a cliff. Of course, there was a cliff, why wouldn’t he randomly pick the direction that led straight towards a cliff where he could instead have the lovely choice of falling to his death instead of getting eaten alive. He’d probably still get eaten though. The wolfspider could easily climb down a cliff. If not, then something else would likely show up and eat him.
In short, he was probably going to get eaten today.
But he wasn’t going to let this jackass be the one to eat him!
“Yea! If you're gonna get eaten, at least let it be by a dragon or something! That's so much cooler than a spider!” Kirishima yelled out.
“Or a succubus! Then we’ll get to see him get a blo-” SMACK. Mineta’s comment was stopped halfway by Tsuyu’s tongue knocking him out.
Izuku ran faster, his legs screaming at him, and his feet were making a very persuasive argument to buy some better shoes. The edge of the forest was coming up, the cliff face opened up into a valley that looked to be surrounded by a cliff, almost like the entire area had been carved out and pushed down into the ground. The area even looked to have fewer trees than the forest he was currently running through, and the ones it did have looked smaller and younger.
It didn’t feel natural.
Tokoyami perked up, something told him that he was about to see real magic for the first time, and he was excited. It was no secret that he was a major Chuunibyou, everyone had seen his room.
What did feel natural was the fear of death that was currently punching his apparent fear of heights into the ground and telling him to jump. With a very loud and very high pitched scream, Izuku jumped, narrowly avoiding the jaws of death once more. The cloak his mother had made him was not so lucky.
Nearly one hundred feet separated him from the ground. The cliff was higher than he thought it was. A lot higher. So now he had plenty of time to come to terms with his death. Well not really, he was now falling really really fast towards his death. If he got reincarnated, he wanted to come back as something more awesome than some kid that died on their first quest!
“This is his first quest? Why is he alone? Surely they do not just allow people to go into a magical forest by themselves! That's so irresponsible!” Momo exclaimed, and Iida nodded. So did Kaminari, who had played enough RPG’s to know that you never go into magic forests alone.
Reality had a much different idea.
Instead of pain followed by death, he was greeted by cold water swallowing him whole and giving him just enough cushion to hit the bottom. He still got a lot of pain. And now he was wet. And drowning. Thank fuck he actually learned how to swim! Surprisingly few adventures did.
Izuku looked around the clear murky waters he found himself in and couldn’t see shit. So if there was a giant lake monster ready to eat him, he wouldn’t see it coming.
“Really? Learning to swim is rare? You would think it would be an important skill for an adventurer!” Mina said, and Tsuyu nodded, placing a finger on her chin.
“I guess it would be like Quirks though, there might be magic that makes breathing underwater possible, or even walking on it. With the right spells, you wouldn’t need to know how to swim.”
Aizawa grumbled ‘so irrational’ under his breath. Midnight nodded in agreement before looking back at the screen.
He swam up, desperate for a breath of air and nearly swallowed more than one breath of water on his way up. When he got to the surface, the reality that he had no time to rest was presented to him when he saw the head of that giant wolfspider glaring down at him. It started to climb down the dry brown cliff wall with a great amount of ease.
“Fuck me.” Could today just be over already? It felt like he had been running for hours. With a deep breath of air, Izuku headed for the shore. Every part of his body felt like it was ready to fall off and was just begging for death. He really didn’t want to die here, in the middle of nowhere, to be eaten by a giant asshole and turned into silk and/or shit.
“Wow, this one swears a bunch! To think, changing Quirks to magic makes Midoriya a pottymouth! Who would have thunk it!” Kirishima yelled, getting a laugh from some, but most were too worried about the boy to listen.
They didn’t feel like watching Izuku get eaten, especially Inko, All Might, and Eri, the latter of which was noise-cancelling headphones Mei had made on to stop her hearing the boys swearing.
Izuku stumbled up onto the shore, and a glance backwards showed that the wolfspider was halfway down the cliff by now. He did have to admire the creature’s desire to eat him; that was some next level tenacity at work. Almost made Izuku wish he had that kind of drive about not dying. Technically he did but he did lack important features like the whole ‘being a giant killing machine’ that made it possible for the wolfspider.
He was spent. At this point, his best bet was to find a cave or somewhere to hide before that creature managed to find and eat him.
That and he was fairly certain he had a broken leg and or foot.
“Izuku sweety! Please be alright! Oh, some please help my boy!” Inko yelled out, too emotional to care that the Izuku on screen wasn’t her boy. He was Izuku, and that meant she cared about him.
Swallowing the pain, Izuku advanced forward intent on getting as far away from the creature as he could.
It was near the centre of the clearing that he found something.
Sitting upon a stone that was bathed in sunlight and surrounded by short grass, not even a sapling growing nearby, was a sword. A broken sword, shattered in two. It didn’t look like any kind of material that Izuku had ever seen before, it wasn’t iron, nor steel, not even the silver of mithril. Rather the material of this blade seemed to shift from blue at the base where the hilt was to red at the tip, blending in a lovely purplish colour where the two halves of the blade were snapped.
Tokoyami had stood up unconsciously as soon as the sword had appeared on the screen. He was drooling slightly, as Dark Shadow tried dragging him back into his seat. The people around him heard him mutter ‘A magical blade fit for a hero’ and groaned.
Hopefully, he wasn’t gonna be like this the whole time.
The blade’s beauty laid more in just the strange colour of the metal. Runes ran along the blade in a language that Izuku didn’t understand, blending together and forming a kind of art. Even the hilt was a thing of beauty. He grabbed the hilt of the sword and pulled it into his grasp. It was lighter than he expected it to be and the blade was still sharp, and the awkward point made from where the two halves had broken could be used to stab well enough. Still, for a hunk of metal sitting in the sun, he expected it would be much warmer.
He went down to grab the other half of the blade; if he made it out of here he might be able to get it reforged, then he would have a sword of his own. There was even a good chance that this sword was magical. The top of the blade was warm. Warm enough to almost sting when he touched it.
“That's a magnificent sword! I must see it reassembled! Look at that fade from blue to red! It’s beautiful!”
Everyone ignored Tokoyami’s outburst, Dark Shadow clapping his hand(?) over the boy’s mouth before he let anything else out.
A snarl from behind him startled him and he grabbed the bare broken blade and squeezed tight, he could feel the shallow cut as he spun to confront the beast, his warm blood sizzled on the hot blade’s surface. There was some real magic in this fractured sword; he knew that. Probably not enough to take on a giant wolfspider, but maybe enough to make it regret eating him.
The beast growled at Izuku, its tongue licking its lips before it unleashed a great bark that was at least part roar.
Naturally, Izuku roared right back at it, feeling the blood drip from his hand and spit fly from his mouth. He wasn’t going to run anymore! Mostly because he couldn’t, but that was beside the point. He poured his energy into the blades hoping that they would activate.
Kirishima cheered. “Magic Sword time! He’s gonna use both blades, even though one is hurting him. Definitely a Midoirya! Their pain tolerance must be a universal constant!”
“Bring it on, asshole!”
The great snarling maw of the wolfspider opened wide as it launched forward propelled by its eight large legs.
“Allow me to take care of this, Master Izuku.”
Kaminari gasped. “ MASTER Izuku? Lucky Bastard! Wait… should probably see if she’s hot or not…”
He was then jabbed by Jirou’s earphones, yelping in pain. None of the teachers stopped her.
Time seemed to slow as the right half of his body felt cold, like resting in the shade on a hot day.
Todoroki noticed that only Izuku’s right side went cold. Maybe the sword gave him powers similar to his own?
A flurry of snow appeared and a woman walked out from it. Her long pure white hair fluttered in the wind, her icy blue eyes were fixed onto the beast in front of her and she wore a white and blue robe that was both simple and ornate in its design. She held up a single hand, the snow gathering around her.
Todoroki wasn’t able to hold in his gasp at the sight of the woman. She looked near identical to his mother, just… his age?
“What?! No way I’m letting you have all the fun!”
Kaminari was on his knees now. “There’s another one?! Is Midoriya some sort of closet ladies man?!”
The ground to his left burned, heating up his body like standing next to the fire after coming in from the rain.
That just confirmed it for Shoto, the sword granted the wielder his Quirk. And if the looks he was getting from his classmates meant anything, he wasn’t the only one who had made the connection.
Another woman appeared, this one with short flaming red hair with charcoal eyes stepped out, she looked at him and smiled for a second before looking towards the beast, flame resting in the palm of both of her hands. Her clothing looked similar to the white-haired girl’s, only burnt at the edges and a red-orange colour that was much shorter, closer to a tunic than a robe.
Todoroki bristled. This woman looked like a palette swap of the other girl… with Endeavours colours. He felt his left side arcing up at him as he felt a hit of anger, but suppressed it. It wasn’t the time for that.
A wall of ice came from his right and a torrent of fire came from his left.
In that moment, caught between two conflicting magical forces Izuku almost felt pity for the creature that was attempting to eat him just moments ago. Almost. Both attacks blasted the beast with enough force to knock it away from Izuku and impale it onto the cliff wall, sticking it in place with the ice while it was burned by the fire. Honestly, he had no idea what the fuck just happened.
Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero nodded. Kirishima spoke up. “We’re with you, Midoriya my dude, no clue what happened either, but that was cool as fuck!”
Bakugou grumbled. His biggest rival with the power of his second biggest rival. ‘And if One for All exists in this stupid magic world, he’ll probably get it there too.’
“Ko, you really didn’t need to do that.” The white-haired beauty turned to the redhead, taking a careful step in front of Izuku. Izuku only had an inch or two on the maiden, but that didn’t feel like much. She carried herself with such poise and beauty that he had to suck in his breath just by looking at her. “My Ice was more than enough to handle it.”
The redhead - Ko - stomped in front of him as well her arms crossed in front of her chest and pouted. “You never let me have any fun, Sho! This was our first time out in a long time!
Mina squealed. “Sho and Ko? Is anyone else thinking what I’m thinking?” When everyone else shook their heads, she pouted.
“How is it not obvious!? In this universe, Shoto is a girl, and also a sword! There’s probs two of them cause the sword is split in half!” Shoto looked at the screen and had to admit, it made more sense than he wanted it too.
Momo seemed to agree. “That's quite a difference! Although, this is a magical world, anything could happen.”
Izuku looked between the two girls, Sho and Ko. They looked really similar to each other, closer to each other than even sisters would. But they did have a fair number of differences besides the obvious hair, eyes, and clothing, Ko was also a few inches shorter than Sho was and her chest was, uhh, much less pronounced than Sho’s was. They both had long pointed ears that pointed straight out from their heads. So they weren’t exactly human.
Kaminari groaned. “ Seriously? Midoriya is the one to get 2 super hot magic elf women? It’s always the quiet ones you gotta worry about…”
He quickly ducked out of the way of Jirou’s earphones and hid behind Sato, who huffed in annoyance.
“I know, and that’s why you should have let me handle it. Look at yourself, you’re already cutting into Izuku.” Sho gestured towards Izuku’s left hand where he was still very much bleeding and still very much holding onto the broken blade.
“Yeah? So? That’s why we were even able to come out! Because of that, the blood contract has been sealed!” Ko puffed up her tone less rigid than her sisters.
All Might coughed at that. ‘Blood contract?!’
Izuku blinked and looked at the sword he carried then at the two beautiful girls that had appeared out of nowhere. “Umm, excuse me, but how exactly do you know my name? And what are you two talking about?”
“Ahh! Where are my manners!” Sho took a step back and bowed at the waist towards him.
“Master Izuku, we are-”
“I’m Ko, she’s Sho, we’re that sword you found and because you put your blood on us, we’re now your sword,” Ko interrupted with both hands behind the back of her head, she kicked one of her long bare legs for no reason showing off her shoeless feat. Compared to Sho she looked drastically underdressed, more worse for wear, she even had a red scar that covered much of the skin around her left eye.
Mina cheered. “Look at that scar! That totally proves it! The sword is a female version of Todoroki that became a pair of twins when the sword that holds their soul in it broke in two! It makes perfect sense!”
Sho shot up and marched over. She looked a lot more put together than Ko did; she even had shoes on and her robe actually went all the way down to her ankles. “Ko, you ruined our chance to leave a good first impression!”
“What are you talking about? We just saved his life from that thing! We already made a good first impression! Your boring introduction would take too long anyway.” Ko waved off Sho like it was nothing.
“I mean, yea, they made a pretty good first impression. Saving his life and all that jazz.” Midnight commented, everyone else nodding in agreement.
“Maybe Izuku can figure out how to get the sword reforged!” Uraraka yelled out.
Mei’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “If I exist in this world, he is now legally obligated to take the weapon to me for the reforging.”
Power Loader shuddered in fear and nodded, not even bothering to argue with the girl. He knew it would end in an explosion, somehow, if he did.
“Alright,” Izuku nodded and looked at the broken sword in his hand. Well, it was his sword now apparently. “So-”
The world went black.
“Did he just faint?”
“Of fucking course, the nerd does one actually cool thing and fucking conks it right afterwards.”
“Hey! Casting magic is probably really tiring! And he said it was his first Quest! You can’t judge him for that!”
“The hell I can’t pinky! I’ll judge who I want!”
“Oh dear,” Sho’s calm tranquil voice drifted into his thoughts.
“See I told you yours would have taken too long.”
“Would you-”
Izuku dreamed about two sisters bickering over him while he finally fell asleep.
“Ok. There is quite a bit to unpack with that universe.”
Bakguou snorted. “You got that fucking right High Class! Yo, Logan or whatever the fuck you’re called, you got any extra info on that universe? Or do you just have what we have?”
Logar grumbled something under his breath, something that sounded suspiciously like ‘disrespectful brat’ , and nodded his head.
“I do actually, I get a longer view of the universe that you all do, as there is a time limit to what I can show you from a certain universe in one go, while I get to see it all at once in sort of a flash.”
He shook himself and rubbed his forehead. “Miss Hatsume, you will be happy to know that you are the one Mr Midoriya goes to to help reforge the blade, although you're not exactly human…”
Mei’s eyes sparkled. “Ooh ooh ooh! What am I Mr Government guy!”
Logar chuckled. “Well, it’s odd to be sure. In this magical universe, you are half succubus, half forge spirit, and you unintentionally force Mr Midoriya into a soul bonding contract while examining the sword, making him a warlock in the process.”
Power Loader sighed, his shoulders drooping. “Of course she did… Is there anything else of note in that universe that you know of Logar?”
Logar nodded. “It's quite the doozy, this universe! Shenanigans galore! Miss Kendo from 1-B is a healer with anger issues, Miss Hatsume, while she is a succubus, has no knowledge of anything sexual, and the two halves get separate handles, allowing him to use them without harm. Oh yea! And he falls in love with Sho and Ko, as well as Mei.”
Kaminari had long since fallen to his knees, but now he was in front of the unconscious Izuku, seemingly praying. “All Hail the Unintentional Harem King! All Hail!” Ok, so he was 100% praying.
Logar clapped his hands and the screen above them disappeared, Izuku coming too slowly. “I will give Mr Midoriya a chance to rest for a few minutes before we start again! Oh and by the way, you will not have to tell him about the different universes.”
“He got a first person perspective while he was ‘asleep’ . Probably should have mentioned that earlier, but, whatever! Enjoy your break!”
After a brief talk to his classmates, teachers, and a cuddle session with Eri, Izuku sat back down in his chair and allowed Eri to get comfortable on his lap while Logar placed his hand over his forehead again.
The screen above them appeared again, this time a light blue, and the next universe began to play.

Chapter Text
Logar blinked as the next universe started to come into focus.
He turned to the group and chuckled. “Well, this one is certainly interesting! Lots of fun differences that distinguish this world from your own! And before you ask, no spoilers! Just sit back and enjoy.”
There were a few grumbles in response to that, as well as Midnight making a remark about ‘teasing’ that everyone was glad Eri didn’t hear. The screen in front of them started to show more and more colours, audio starting to filter in.
Logar flicked the lights off as the other universe came into view completely, and sat down to watch the show...
The blue-haired villain standing on the last step of the fountain had yet to direct his glare from anything but the top of the giant staircase before him, ignoring the boisterous shouting of the crowd between them that had already begun to grate at his ears.
All of 1-A flinched at Shigiraki’s sudden appearance, none more so than Bakugou, Kirishima and Todoroki. They all knew exactly what was happening in this universe.
The USJ attack.
Instead, he watched the two distant figures preparing themselves without any hesitation visible in their poise as they returned the gaze back at him and the twisting pillar of black shaping itself beside him.
“Thirteen, Eraser Head and Deku. Just as the schedule we stole said.” The pair of familiar yellow eyes manifested themselves to look up at the same pair above as the dark miasma settled and a man’s deep voice left the void without any interference. “And yet All Might is nowhere to be seen, despite how the same schedule says that he’s supposed to be here too.”
“Wait, they mentioned Midoriya’s hero name alongside our teachers… is this Midoriya a staff member at UA? That would make him at least 4-5 years older than us in this universe.” Logar glanced over at Momo and nodded.
“Correct, Miss Yaoyorozu, excellent deduction. Mr Midoriya is approximately 8 years older in this universe than he is in ours.” The small, proud smile she gave after that almost made everyone’s hearts melt.
“And after I wasted so much time bringing together all of these nobodies just for him. It’s not like the Symbol of Peace to be away for something like this…” The man let out a silent exasperated sigh as he lethargically gestured to his own amassed army, unorganised in their placement with confident grins and smirks shared across most of the masses.
His gesture wilted without any attempted resistance from the villain who instead focused his gaze solely on the open space above the steps and past the archway. He tilted his head by an inch, attempting to catch a better glimpse of the small crowd group of students behind the two steadfast heroes as they rapidly escaped his view.
“…maybe he’ll show up if we kill some kids.”
All Might wrapped his arm around Inko’s shoulders as she let out a small whimper at that line. She wasn’t a hero, she wasn’t even a hero-in-training. But she would stick it out and be brave for her son.
The screen cut to black briefly for a scene change.
The top of the staircase exploded with a wave of air as Izuku fired off his quirk’s charge by his feet, followed immediately after by Shota’s near silent pounce from the step. The sound of the force being released directed the army’s attention from the now-empty platform onto the heroes that suddenly plummeted towards the ground floor. The green glow around the counsellor’s legs had disappeared as he soared feet first, but still persisted around his forearms as the tinted space continued to build up.
“Look alive shooting squad, here they come!”
“Did you see that jump? This Izuku’s super strong too!”
“Look at the muscles on him! He’s so manly!”
“Kick their asses Deku!”
“You got this Deku!”
The wide grin belonged to the man in the front row as he took a self-assured step forward, pointing the metallic nozzles on his fingertips at the rapidly approaching pair. He was soon followed by the women on his left with her long grey hair fashioned into several grey dreadlocks, along with the much larger and overweight man with horns and a metal mask resembling pig’s snout on his fully shrouded face.
“That’s Deku alright, but who’s that guy next to him? And where’s All Might?!” The woman’s smirk barely lessened as her hair began to raise itself high over her own head and loosely point its ends at their falling targets at her command. Her posture had barely changed with the exception of leaning herself forwards slightly as her strands continued to float through the air.
“Who cares?! They’re both dead men anyway if they keep charging at us!” The pig-faced man was the last to reach the front and barely made a change to his slouched posture. Instead only rearing his head upwards as the two open holes in his mask began to flare red, pointing them directly at the pair who were already soared more than halfway down the steps.
As they got to see the villains preparing to attack, everyone started to tense up. This was it. The USJ had started, and combat was beginning.
Eri snuggled a little further into Izuku’s lap and hugged his arm like a teddy bear while watching him fly towards the bad guys. ‘I believe in you Deku!’
Izuku’s eyes shifted slightly to his right until Shota’s prepared figure appeared in the corner of his vision. He watched during their freefall as the teacher’s hair suddenly sprang up from behind his head as an almost minuscule red light appeared behind his goggles. The sudden reaction confused him for a second, having only the rare bit of footage of Eraser Head in action previously before he figured that there was one logical reason behind it.
Kaminari tried to break the tension.. “Guess this Midoriya is into all that Quirk research stuff as well. Is that another thing that doesn’t change?”
Unfortunately, everyone else was too focused on the screen to reply to him.
The two of them were only a few steps away from the ground before the collective smile of their three adversaries deepened. The man in front straightened out his fingers and activated his ability to riddle the heroes full of holes, only for his eyes widened in shock when his barrelled fingertips simply clicked instead, as if they were malfunctioning.
The sudden dread was shared by the other two villains as the woman’s hair flopped down again over her face and blocked her view without warning, while the bright red glow on the heavier built man’s mask began to fizzle away. The three of them were completely staggered by the series of failures as they all shifted their view away from the staircase to indulge in their panic. “H-huh?! Why the hell isn’t my quirk firing off?!”
Aizawa nodded and glanced over to the other pro heroes in the room, noticing how they were analysing the situation. He smiled behind his scarf. He was glad that he had colleagues as skilled as they were.
In their moment of alarm, their focus was completely taken off the still imminent danger of the heroes, leaving their interrupted poise unprepared for the two ends of Shota’s grey scarf that lashed around the smaller villains and trapped their arms against their sides. The masked intruder could only watch as their already disarmed bodies were snatched into the air with great speed and flung into the air before his own attention was stolen by the green blur that appeared in front of him.
His eyes snapped down below him after his ears were filled with the sounds of a thunderous crash, immediately locking onto the crouched form and green hair belonging to Izuku. Just as quickly as he landed, the hero brought his head up to stare back at the larger man as his body raised from its position close to the ground. His glowing arm and fist that had been tucked towards his chest continued to rocket upwards as well, eventually overtaking it once he was properly standing and launching it up into the man’s face.
The impact of the fist combined with the immediate release of his quirk caused the greenette’s punch to send the man’s head shooting upward to look at the building’s ceiling, leaving a heavy dent in the villain’s necessary metal cover. He was already beginning to fall backwards from the shock as Izuku pulled back his other charged fist to follow up, darting forwards and delivering his second strike directly into the man’s abdomen.
All Might was smiling at the speed and efficiency that Izuku performed the takedown with. He knew that the boy would be an amazing hero, and apparently giving him a different Quirk didn’t change that.
Aizawa was also happy to see that Izuku wasn’t messing around, focusing on flashiness instead of the fight. He could feel a sense of capability from the Izuku on the screen, something that only a hero could recognise in another.
He just hoped this USJ attack ended better than their one.
The force behind the blow lingered for an extra second as the hero’s quirk began to pull him in along with the pent-up air circling around his forearm. With the new added force stockpiling on his fist, he straightened out his arm and fired off the attack all at once, releasing another burst of force that sent the man flying backwards as he was repelled away with his quirk at the same time.
Shota landed quickly after, effortlessly guiding the strands of alloy-infused cloth in his hands before harshly pulling them downwards. The sudden jerk shortened the gap between the airborne villains just above him until they crashed into each other, flying backwards from the impact as their unconscious bodies hit the ground and their fabric bindings loosened themselves.
The still wide spanning crowd gasped as their assured expressions faded away at the sight of the two men who were already leaping into action. The Erasure Hero used the pause created by their show of force to retract the ends of his weaponised scarf, feeding them across his palms as they wound themselves around his neck once again.
Sero let out a whistle. “Anyone else feel like you're watching an action movie based on the USJ Attack? Cause this fight is seriously badass.”
Kirishima clenched his fist and turned to the boy, showing that he was crying while watching. “It’s so freaking manly! Look at them go!”
Shota reared his head back up to point his eyes forward to skim through the many surprised faces staring back at him, unable to see his eyes as the yellow goggles completely hid them in the shade. He didn’t shift his head out of his scanning pattern even when he called out to the other hero that had positioned himself beside him in front of the staircase. “Deku, you see those three standing by the fountain?”
“You mean the ones who look and are currently acting like the ringleaders?” Izuku’s combat stance returned as he raised his clenched fists level to his chest and planted his feet firmly against the concrete floor. The stalemate between the villains and himself gave him plenty of time to regain the green shade on his limbs as he tilted his vision over to include the other hero’s form again.
Todoroki hummed as he voiced something he had noticed.“It seems that this version of Midoriya needs to charge up before he can use his giant bursts of air pressure. Perhaps It is similar to his mother’s, and can drag things towards him? He could be pulling the air around him towards himself and then letting it go to achieve such attacks.”
Logar nodded, finger on his chin. “I think there’s a little bit more to it, I will have to double check later, but that is the gist of his Quirk. Well done Young Shoto.”
His attention quickly caught onto his long hair still lingering in the air, despite his supposed target now lying unconscious before them. He raised an eyebrow at the thought as Shota tilted his own head over by an inch to acknowledge him, giving him a chance to see the tiny sliver of red glowing in the shade. “We’ll take care of the foot soldiers first but until then, let me handle them.”
The oddly worded line was what put the pieces together for the greenette after a moment of processing, causing him to give a solid nod back as the upper half of his face above his respirator hardened into its previous firm stare. Shota could feel the burst of air brush against his side as Izuku released one of his legs’ charge to propel himself forward, quickly taking it as a sign for him to leap into the fray himself.
From the obscurity of his goggles, his eyes locked onto another villain just ahead of him, a shorter woman with a set of pigtails directed upwards as the ends spiralled into drills. He had already targeted her with his quirk, but chose to wait until she pulled her eyes away to notice her wilting hair before he lunged towards her. The sole of his boot crashed into the side of her face the moment her guard lowered, forcing her head to hit the ground soon after from the angle of the kick.
Shota took the opportunity he had from his airborne position to toss out one end of his scarf towards a nearby villain still in shock. The material immediately wrapped itself around his stretched-out neck and forced him into smashing face-first into the concrete once the hero landed back on his feet. The man could only weakly pull his head away from the cracked floor as the fabric grip on his throat disappeared and his attacker dashed away to continue his onslaught, speaking up with a disoriented voice before he lost the last of his consciousness. “Who…is this guy?”
Kaminari gaped as he watched the quick and efficient beatdowns his teacher was dishing out.“Mr Eraserhead sir, how did you get so badass at martial arts? You’re kicking ass and taking names and they don’t even seem to stand a chance!”
Eraserhead flinched as he remembered his training, his chest lighting up with phantom pain for a moment before he shook himself. “Lots and lots of training, Kaminari. If you want, you can join the weekly class I hold in the gym on tuesdays.”
Before Kaminari could respond, he got shushed by Mei, who was angrily looking back at them, the popcorn in her mouth making her look like a chipmunk. A very angry chipmunk that could probably kill them with their own gear if she wanted.
Kaminari closed his mouth and went back to watching the screen.
“You idiots! That’s Eraser Head! He can erase your quirk just by looking at you!” An angry voice cut in from behind the front row, watching with serious yet still stress eyes as the Erasure Hero rushed onto his next targets with bandages already shooting ahead of him, ensnaring the next pair before the rest of his figure caught up and swiftly pacified them after he delivered a quick and brutal strike to each of them.
“Is that right? Then that means you can’t do a thing to mutant-type quirks like mine!” Shota’s ears immediately picked up on the sounds of heavier footsteps coupled with a brash voice rapidly growing in volume. His head snapped to his side to see a new villain sprinting towards him with two of his four rock-covered arms raised up with tightened fists.
“You’re right about that…” His face showed no sign of recoil as the barrage descended upon him, instead effortlessly moving backwards to dodge the first punch before immediately sidestepping the second attack that attempted to catch him during his evade. With one set of arms now extending past him, Shota took a sudden step forward as his body jolted closer to the villain, his form suddenly turning rigid as he dug his feet into the ground and reeled back his own fist. “…But what makes you think that I didn’t at least consider a measure for fighting against people like you?”
The larger man couldn’t pull himself back fast enough to dodge the fist that hurdled towards him before it caved into his masked face. He let out a choked groan as he was sent backwards through from the force of the punch with his feet completely taken off the ground. Shota’s stance quickly returned to his fluid motion as he gripped the end of his scarf and cast it out after the man, which zipped over to him and latched itself around his ankle, forcing his course through the air to halt once both of the hero’s hands gripped onto his end of the cloth and heaved back.
Kaminari glanced over at Aizawa again, truly noticing his scarf for the first time. It seemed like a super useful tool. Maybe he should ask to learn how to use it? He could probably get Mei or some other support student to make it conductive if he could use one properly.
Kaminari blinked at that. ‘That was actually a really good idea! Maybe I’m starting to get smarter!’
The villain turned fully conscious again when he felt his body jerk in mid-air and begin to swing. He snapped his head down to his bandaged foot to see the hero he had attempted to attack now slinging him around from his position on the floor, directing him onto the opposite side of him before the iron-tight grip anchoring him suddenly loosened and sent him careening over the crowd. His eyes widened in panic as he attempted to orient himself during his freefall, only to freeze once he noticed his path was heading towards the second source of commotion in the crowd.
“Besides, that’s what he’s here for.”
Izuku had yet to slow down since he had charged in, utilising the charge he had saved on his other leg and entering the fight with a heavy dropkick into the chest to immediately knock down another villain. His steel soles found their grip the moment they touched the ground, fortifying his posture as the next intruder hurtled towards him.
Kirishima made an odd noise that was a mix of crying and laughter. “What a freaking manly dropkick! Keep up the awesome work Teacherdoriya!”
Some of the others joined in on his cheering, and a chant of ‘Teacherdoriya’ began quietly.
He didn’t have the chance to look anywhere other than the direction the pair of attackers rushed at him from until he stopped their advance by latching a hand onto the opposite sides of their face and colliding them together, releasing the stockpiled air around his forearms to add onto the already crippling force of the impact as they fell to the ground away from him. With the current threat removed, the hero immediately clued in on the presence that was speedily approaching him from behind, quickly shifting his head over to see a four-armed man falling from the sky towards where he was standing.
The bellowing war cry of another villain coming from his left side knocked Izuku out of his short-lived surprise as he quickly swivelled his head to greet the attacker. He leaned back to dodge the muscular arm and fist that had shot out to strike before his right hand darted out to latch onto their wrist, which began to glow an emerald green where they made contact.
The greenette quickly followed up his counter as his foot skidded across the concrete before it gripped again just in front of the villain’s feet, tripping them up after they were forced to continue moving forwards as their trapped hand was jerked forwards. With their torso lined up almost flat before him, Izuku raised up his free arm as another green light overtook it before he smashed his elbow directly into their back.
He turned his attention back onto the panicking man who was now much closer than before, shifting his torso away from the struck villain beside him and aimed his arm at its new target. He released his gathered force downwards and off his elbow, sending his fist rocketing off the makeshift launchpad and almost immediately intercepting the falling villain as it crashed into his abdomen.
Todoroki clutched his stomach in semi-sympathetic pain at that. He had been on the receiving end of a 5% punch to the gut from Izuku during their fight in the sports festival, and it had hurt quite a bit.
And if this Izuku could dent metal with his Quirk’s power, he was sure that guy was feeling pretty terrible at the moment as well.
The sheer power behind the blow reversed the man’s momentum and caused him to fly backwards for a few inches before he lost the last of his energy and fell to the ground in an overwhelming daze.
Todoroki winced. He was right. That guy would definitely be feeling that in the morning.
Izuku let out a short breath as he pulled his fist back to recuperate himself after the sudden burst in activity, which had led to the moment, his side was littered with unconscious bodies. The moment was short-lived as his ears immediately picked up on another set of rapid footsteps coming from behind him. His first motion was to twist his head to lock into his view onto the looming adversary, only to immediately flinch his head to the side in order to dodge the lunging fist that shot past his head.
The counsellor reacted to the opportunity without delay, grabbing onto the villain’s forearm with a glowing palm while his other shining hand latched itself to their collar. He took a heavy step forward and proceeded to pull the challenger across his shoulder as he continued to move most of his weight onto his front foot, startling them as their feet were suddenly pulled off the ground.
He waited until his opponent reached the apex of their height during his technique before he released his quirk’s power that he had been storing on his shoulder, delivering a strong explosion into their stomach and sending them higher above the ground. The additional altitude only made the second half of his shoulder throw all the more fierce once he began to flip the villain’s weight over him and, using both his full strength and the repelling force of his quirk, fired them from his hands to slam them flat on their back with an audible sound of the ground cracking underneath.
Inko let out a gasp as All Might watched on in surprise. Aizawa was looking impressed by the near-perfectly executed throw, and Kirishima was whispering ‘manly’ to himself almost once every 5 seconds.
Izuku waited for an extra second in case he was interrupted again before he attempted to indulge in the calm period again. He took another breath as he brought his head up from looking down at the painfully writing body in front of him to instead search for the only person nearby who wasn’t planning to take his head. A tiny sign of relief crawled onto the visible portion of his face as his eyes found Shota continuing his own assault with no end in sight, which quickly shifted into alarm as he noticed the villain dashing up towards the other hero’s back.
He kept his wide eyes locked onto the woman as she raised her bladed metal claws up, aiming them to eventually slash clean through Shota’s neck while a wicked grin took root on her face. The rest of the counsellor’s body moved into action as one of his gloved hands swiftly dived into one of the square red pouches hanging off his belt, immediately leaving the pocked again after with a metal ball between his fingers.
The spherical object, much like the several others that he had stashed in his other pockets, was no more than a steel ball about an inch in diameter and was never without a polished steel shine on its body. Izuku shifted his grip on the ball to sit comfortably on the side of his index finger as he firmly slotted it in with his thumb, which had both started to glow a bright green. He pointed his arm straight ahead and gripped onto his wrist to stabilize his aim, locking both his eyes and his limb directly at the villain.
The force behind his quirk began to increase over the second, adding on even more pressure as his grip continued to tighten. The force was suddenly released all at once when the hero fired the projectile with a small explosion of air in his hand as his thumb finally made contact with his finger. The bullet whizzed through the air with no other sound but the faint whistling it gave off as the ball blurred with its speed, easily reaching the intended target almost immediately after being fired.
Mei was watching with interest, this Izuku’s Quirk letting her get some ideas for some more gear that Izuku could use. Maybe she could make him small little orbs like this Izuku had for his own ‘Air force’ gloves?
Power loader shivered at the gleam in Mei’s eyes, knowing that it was only a matter of time before she went on another spree with her new ideas.
Shota had already recognised the threat behind him even before he had finished his takedown on the villain in front of him, immediately swivelling himself around with a fist clenched already prepared as the bladed hand was suddenly brought down. The momentum that his body carried immediately stopped as his eyes widened at the sight of a metal ball colliding with the woman’s cheek without any warning, easily removing the grin on her face as the shock rippled across her face and caused her now loose form to collapse on the ground.
The Erasure Hero’s looked down at the suddenly unconscious villain on the floor, his hair that had begun wilting the moment he turned his head was now resting in its casual look again as he eventually brought his head back up and over to where the ball had originated. His eyes quickly focused on Izuku who had just begun to lower his firing stance who looked back at him with a relaxed expression.
With the metal respirator in the way he couldn’t make out the rest of his face, but he could at least make an educated guess that he was flashing a proud smile at him from underneath. The two of them cut the moment short as they both brought their gaze over to the barely reduced army that still filled the rest of the open plaza.
Mirio was staring at the screen with wide eyes at this point. “They’ve been working so hard and they have barely made a dent in the enemies numbers… that's freaking crazy…”
Nejire and Tamaki nodded in agreement. They were UA’s big three and even then hadn’t been in an attack of this scale before. The only thing that came close for them was the Yakuza raid to save Eri.
The cocky expressions and casual postures that had previously made up most of their individual figures had completely disappeared, now replaced with hardened stared and proper fighting stances, which only became even more reinforced as the two heroes prepared to charge forwards once again.
“I hate this. Even when it’s just two heroes the normal masses don’t even stand a chance.” The blue-haired villain who was still the furthest from the action continued to watch with exasperation in his low voice as the hero’s advance continued. His two fingers had yet to leave the side of his neck as they continued to lethargically scratch just beneath his head ever since the heroes immediately began turning the tide.
His hidden eyes focused on Shota as he firmly planted his feet on the ground once again after leaping, followed by two more neutralized villains in tow that instead were slammed harshly into the floor. “With those goggles in the way, no one has any idea whose quirks are being erased. Easy to know when he singles one out, but with a group of targets, it gets much harder for them to work together.”
The group had to admit, Shigiraki was a lot smarter than they took him for. And while they were loath to admit it, the way he dissected the fight reminded them a bit of the way Izuku could dissect a Quirk.
The sight of seeing his fodder being so easily decimated by the hero became too infuriating to watch and instead quickly shifted his view onto the other source of his frustration in between the waves of villains. His sight turned just in time to see Izuku forcing back a larger villain, delivering an explosion of air from his forearm as his punch connected with their abdomen followed by another fiercely striking their chest. “And then there’s that guy I haven’t seen before. Who is he?”
“That would be Deku, the schedule did mention that he would be here too, however, he has only recently made an appearance in the media. A rookie perhaps?” The same deep voice emanated from behind the purple fog once again as its yellow eyes focused in on the same sight as the person beside him.
Iida bolted upright at that. “Wait, this Izuku is a rookie? Why would UA be hiring a rookie hero to be a teacher? They would have little to no field experience to pass along to the students!”
Aizawa glared at him and the boy sat down. “I’m sure there are reasons for his anonymity. He might be an underground hero like me, or any other explanation. Nezu always does things for a reason.
Bakugou huffed. ‘Damn nerd probably found out about One for All in this world too, so the rat’s trying to keep tabs on him. Or maybe All Might wanted him to be the next bearer in this world as well? Fuck, this multiverse bullshit is annoying.’
The two watched with unflinching stares as the green hero, who wasted no time after his opponent’s feet were taken off the ground to latch his glowing hands onto his shirt. He quickly shifted his posture and used his new grip on the villain to swing them around himself before firmly rooting himself and hurled them into another rapidly with both his quirk’s power and the momentum he had gathered, watching as they collided together and promptly collapsed on the floor.
“However, even if we had known more about him before, it might not have added any more information on him. From what he demonstrates in his fighting style, it seems like his quirk simply repels things away from him.” The expression stuck onto the living mist refused to shift, even as it continued to follow Izuku’s charge through the army one villain at a time. The same could not be said for the man next to him whose fingers slightly sped up as they continued scraping the side of his neck.
Momo hummed. “Not an exactly correct guess about his Quirk, but close enough for it to matter in this fight. It seems that this will be a problem for our own careers as well.”
Surprisingly, Shoji spoke up at that. “I concur. It seems that heroes will always have the disadvantage information-wise. Such an unfortunate side-effect of the current heroics system.”
“Whatever, why are you even still here talking? You have a job to do right now so get going.” The villain clicked his tongue as he pulled his fingers only an inch away from the visibly sore portion of his neck and turned his hidden face towards the tower of purple smoke. The irritated urgency was clear in his hoarse voice, yet it did nothing to deter the ally he was attempting to grab the attention of as his eyes scanned over the scene once again.
“If I was able to, I would already be making it so.” The yellow eyes slowly shifted themselves across the upper half of the haze until they met with the other hero, currently stringing along another unfortunate pair of villains with the grey cloth looped atop his shoulder as he slammed them into the ground, his long black hair having already returned to float unnaturally above his head. “But the moment that Eraser Head touched the ground, he erased my quirk. I can’t move onto the next step of the plan yet.”
The blue-haired villain’s gaze lingered on the haze in deafening silence before he shifted his gaze onto the sight ahead of him, not locking onto either one of the rampaging heroes and instead staring at the plaza space ahead of him. His stagnant fingers twitched as they had yet to move from their position only an inch away from his neck, eventually giving in as they were followed by the rest of his digits apart from his thumb. They continued to scratch at his reddened neck as his hoarse voice returned, now deepened with his new layer of rage shrouded its usual raspy tone.
“I don’t care. You were told to do something that needs to be done, and if it doesn’t happen, it’s game over. So do it.”
Mirio’s eyes narrowed. “He’s acting like a spoilt child. Throwing a tantrum when something isn’t going his way. Look at the way he’s scratching his neck, it seems like it's a nervous habit.”
All Might nodded. “All for One has been mentoring him for most of his life, he is probably used to getting whatever he wants. Unfortunately for us, with All for One in prison, Shigiraki has seemed to mature recently.”
Nezu hummed. “Remember, while it is a bad thing that he is maturing, it would also be detrimental to all of us if he stayed in his overtly childish state of mind. I would rather face a mature, predictable villain than a childish and chaotic one.”
The attitude did nothing to dissuade the taller villain from pulling his attention away from the fight, having heard the same darkened shift in tone numerous times in the past. Instead his vision remained locked onto Shota’s form reeling back up from it’s bent over form, unfurling the ends of his scarf from around his unconscious targets and back to its resting spot flowing around his neck. He let out a short sigh to quickly regain his level breathing quickly, missing how the piercing yellow eyes staring him down tightened as his hair relaxed almost exactly like before for the third time.
“As you wish.” The hand-clad villain’s masked face shifted slightly back to look at his side once the deep voice emanated after a moment of silence, giving him a clear view of his hardened expression before his eyes widened as the body of purple smoke beside him rapidly collapsed into itself without hesitation.
“Eraser! The smoke villain!” The sudden disappearance didn’t go other Izuku’s head as his head snapped over to catch what little he could before the misty pillar completely disappeared. His focus was stolen immediately after as the pair of bulky hands clashing with his own forced his posture back an inch before he regained his stance and pushed back with equal strength as his palms and fingers continued to glow.
“Dammit. I blinked for a second and he got away.” Shota grit his teeth as his head locked onto the now empty space from before, refusing to let even the tiny feeling of dread seep onto his face. That same hidden feeling was what also caused him to quickly turn his head to look over his shoulder, scanning the empty staircase behind him along with the empty archway above where the class used to be visible from. “There’s only one place he would be trying to get to in this situation.”
1-A shuddered as they could guess where that was. Each of them had their own memories of the USJ incident, and none were pleasant.
Izuku’s eyes widened as he processed the other hero’s words from across the open space, followed quickly after by a set of rapid footsteps hitting his ears. The greenette’s head snapped to his other side as the sight of the Erasure Hero sprinting across the plaza without any regard for the villains that watched him run back towards the towering staircase.
From his view, the counsellor could only watch as the gathering of villains that surrounded him began to move. He could see the confidence on their faces begin to sprout again as they converged on Shota’s running form. The sight was more than enough to get Izuku’s eyes to harden one again as he brought his view back solely onto the opponent he was still clashing with, meeting his cocky grin with his determined glare.
With their hands locked together by their own grips coupled with the attraction quirk adding onto the force, the villain was forced to follow the hero’s movements as he quickly twisted his hands and yanked them towards the ground. The smile on the man’s face transformed into surprise as the upper half of his body followed suit and caused his face to jerk downwards, only to be stopped in its tracks when Izuku’s knee rocketed upwards with a burst of compressed air and crashed into the underside of his jaw.
Everyone was surprised when Mei yelled out at that attack. “Yea! You got this ten million! Kick their asses! That dudes gonna be out till next week!”
It was honestly a little scary for them all to witness her glee over violence. If they were able to, they would see another bit of Power Loaders soul exit his body and ascend to the astral plane.
The man’s expression turned blank from the shockwave that travelled across his face, his grip rapidly loosening as his body was sent reeling backwards. The greenette gladly removed his own hands from his limp fingers and pulled his arm backwards, already clenching his fist as the trapped air moved to envelop it. Izuku’s clenched fist shot forwards into the side of his staggered opponent’s face, barely even lingering for a second before the air wrapped around his arm was released and sent hurtling into the villain’s cheek.
He didn’t watch the rest of the impact unfold as the man was forced backwards before falling to the ground in a lifeless daze, instead choosing to already begin chasing after the other hero. He broke out into a sprint as he chased after the back of the other hero as his discharged leg regained the green tint from before his attack, eventually matching the same hue as the charge on his other limb before they both released their compressed air all at once and sent the hero vaulting through the air.
Even if he had kept his focus completely on the stairs that he was hurrying to reach, Shota couldn’t miss the villains in the corner of his gaze as they quickly moved to take up even more space in his vision, some of which already becoming emboldened enough to charge back at him again. It would have slowed him down too much for him to return their attempts to attack him, so instead he put all his focus into moving ahead and simply dodging and leaping out of the way of the attacks meant to stop him completely.
The tactic had worked for the number of swings and punches that came from his side, allowing him to get even closer to the stairway without ever breaking his sprint. But when his view was suddenly filled by a lone villain standing just ahead of the first steps, he let out a hiss as a hand moved up to grasp at the cloth closely wrapped around his neck, preparing to slow himself down almost completely to effectively respond to the fist that was being prepared for him.
He didn’t have the change to shift his running speed before a green blur unexpectedly passed by his side and flew straight towards the villain ahead of him. The unidentified object quickly became clearer once a steel sole spun from behind the figure and looped around until it met the side of the man’s head, knocking him unconscious from the sudden blitzing shockwave and driving him towards the ground out of the still sprinting hero’s path.
“Now we have the escape scene of the movie… is someone filming this? This could be a big hit if we posted it.” Almost immediately, Sero was shut down by the angry glares of around 30 people.
“There will be no recording devices out or active while my Quirk is on, Mr Sero, do you understand?” For the first time since they met him, Logar actually seemed threatening enough to be a top-secret government agent.
Sero just nodded his head and hunched down in his chair.
The immediate momentum that Izuku had carried as he had soared through the air had almost completely disappeared after he delivered his spinning kick, but left just enough for him to orient himself as he travelled past the villain he had struck and faced the hero still rapidly approaching the scene. His boots skidded against the concrete for a second before he stopped with both feet firmly planted as he stood before the steps.
Shota raised a confused eyebrow as the greenette had yet to follow up his finished attack by at least shifting to the side instead of blocking his path. His eyes locked onto his answer as he noticed his open palms lowering themselves and meeting each other in the middle, forming a small cup with his gloved hands. The realisation almost immediately set in as the homeroom teacher continued to sprint at an even greater pace, only giving a curt nod back to Izuku’s resolute gaze before he quickly hopped forwards to close the gap between them.
“Are they doing what I think they're doing?” Kirishima’s voice was full of hope as the Eraserhead on-screen approached Izuku.
Both of the Erasure Hero’s boots landed firmly together in the foothold his ally had created, which buckled beneath his sudden weight before it ignited in a green light as they raised themselves back up. A short grunt left Izuku’s mask as he leaned himself backwards and hoisted his arms further upwards, bringing the man’s prepared form and bent legs up and past his head until his palms were aimed at the staircase behind him.
“C’mon… do it! It would be so cool! Do it!” Kirishima was vibrating with excitement at this point, a smile on his face.
The quirk charge that he had built up against the soles of Shota’s boots expanded as his hands reached their apex height, the sudden force signalling for him to release the tension he had created in his own poise as he pounced from the hero’s platform. He was sent rocketing up beside the flight of stairs and towards the landing underneath the archway, considerably faster than if he had just sprinted up them.
When it happened, Kirishima wasn’t the only one cheering. The other students cheered along with him, and Kaminari yelled out. “YYYEEAAH! Yeet that teacher! That's so freaking cool!”
Kirishima smiled at the screen. “The trust that those two had for each other to perform such a tricky move is so manly! Knowing that your bro has your back and trusting them is so cool!”
Izuku didn’t stand by and watch as the figure quickly grew distant from him again, instead turned his head back to his front side once his focus moved back onto the plaza teeming with villains. He took notice of the position being eerily similar to the start of the fight when he first landed, only now with the army’s size cut down after his first charge through.
It was much easier to put his worries over the student’s safety to the side now that he had watched the other teacher fly out of the fight and out of sight, leaving him with no hesitation when his limbs regained their glowing shroud and he charged forwards into the downsized crowd once again.
The audio cut out, and the screen went to black.
There was silence for a moment as everyone let what had just happened sink in. Slowly, some murmuring started, before growing into full blown discussions.
“He was so cool!”
“I didn’t get to see it while we were there, but Mr Aizawa is really freaking awesome!”
“Midoriya was a badass in this world too! Did you see those moves?”
All Might let go of Inko’s shoulders as she loosened up now that the alternate version of her son was gone. She glanced at the man and gave him a small, shaky smile. “Thank you All Might. It’s odd seeing alternate versions of my son. Makes my heart hurt that I can’t help them.”
All Might gave Inko the widest smile he could, and found that he didn’t even have to fake it (He had gotten so used to faking it). “Now I see where Young Midoriya gets his heroic heart! Don’t worry about his alternates. I’m sure that as long as they have you, they will be ok.”
In response to that, Inko, obviously, burst out into tears and crushed the skeleton in a brutal hug, murmuring thanks to the man.
The others smiled at such a sweet sight, while Mina got a dangerous glint in her eyes. Such a sweet moment was excellent shipping fuel, and they seemed to get along splendidly.
She saw something out of the corner of her eyes and saw Midnight nod over towards the pair and give Mina a wink. Mina winked back, smirking, before the screen made a beep noise.
The screen started to fade into white, and everyone quieted down in preparation for the next universe...

Chapter Text
“I’m a normal kid without any powers, could I ever hope to be someone like you?!”
Momo sighed, putting a hand to her “Is he Quirkless in this world as well? That's quite an unfortunate coincidence.”
The rest of the class gave various signs of agreement. All Might, however, flinched at the line, remembering this exact moment as one of his biggest regrets.
Izuku’s words hung in the air for a moment as All Might stood staring out to the distance. After a moment though, a wide grin was on the man’s face as he took in the middle schooler.
This left All Might confused. Why was he grinning? A small flush of hope flared in his chest. Was this version of himself going to give Izuku a better answer?
“YOUNG MAN!”
Izuku jumped in surprise at the loud jolly tone of his hero's voice.
“THERE’S NO NEED TO FEEL DOWN!”
Present Mic let out a cough, and was about to speak, when Logar shook his head at him, winking at the man with a smirk. Present Mic smiled back, returning the wink.
“E-Eh? Wait then I can be a hero?!” The greenette asked hopefully, gripping his bag to him tighter.
“I SAID YOUNG MAN! PICK YOURSELF UP OFF THE GROUND!”
Kaminari put his hand to his chin, wondering why he was getting a sense of familiarity from All Might’s speech. If you were watching from the outside, you could probably literally see the gears turning in the boys head.
“H-huh? But I’m not-“
“I SAID, YOUNG MAN! CAUSE YOU’RE IN A NEW TOWN!”
“I’ve lived here all my life All Might! Is that a metaphor?!”
“THERE’S NO NEED TO BE UNHAPPY!”
“OH FUCK NO!” Bakugou let out a yell, surprising everyone as he stood up quickly, pointing a finger at Logar. “This better not be what I fucking think it is!”
Logar just chuckled, smiling widely. “I’m afraid it is, Young Bakugou. The multiverse is a strange place, is it not?”
Momo just looked in between the two, as well as Present Mic, who was trying his hardest to stifle his laughter. He was failing. “I feel like I’m missing something here.”
Inko nodded. “Me too. I’m not entirely sure what is happening either. Also; Katsuki, language. There is a child with us.”
Bakugou growled, but sat down, facing the screen again. It was honestly like seeing a miracle in person.
All Might suddenly appeared at his side, wrapping an arm around the teen’s shoulder, pointing to the horizon where U.A. high was barely visible, the sun shining through it like a beacon of hope.
“YOUNG MAN! THERE’S A PLACE YOU CAN GO!”,
“Wait, I can really go to U.A.?! You believe in me?!” The greenette asked excited, eyes sparkling. He got a thumbs up from the blonde, who just continued on.
All Might was openly crying with laughter now, both from the happiness that this version of himself was encouraging his successor right off the bat, and the fact that he had realized what was happening, due to his extensive knowledge of American culture.
“I SAID YOUNG MAN! WHEN YOU’RE SHORT ON YOUR DOUGH!”
“Uh, is that another metaphor for quirks or something?”
“Don't worry Deku! I‘m confused as well! If that's a metaphor it’s a weird one!”
“HOW DO YOU EXTRAS SERIOUSLY NOT REALISE WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!”
“YOU CAN STAY THERE AND I’M SURE YOU WILL FIND, MANY WAYS TO HAVE A GOOD TIME!”
“Uh, All Might?”
“IT’S FUN TO STTTAAAAYYS7wyd79y-“ Suddenly sparks flew out from the number one pro, making Izuku jump in surprise before suddenly the muscular man’s neck snapped straight forward with an even wider grin.
“What is that?”
“All Might’s a robot?!”
“I’m not a robot!”
Todoroki watched as people panicked, narrowing his eyes. While All Might being a robot would debunk his ‘secret love child’ theory, it might prove his ‘All Might is an alien robot sent to keep up alive for harvesting’ theory.
“Uh, All Might-“
“I AM BIG GAY!”
Todoroki huffed. Another obstacle to his ‘secret love child’ theory, if it was true in their own universe as well. No one noticed his disappointment over Mina and Tooru’s squeals though.
All Might chuckled, shaking his head to Inko, who had given him a curious glance. Inko laughed alongside him.
“O-oh?! Well, I support your choices! What does that have to do with quirklessness though?”
“I AM BIG GAY!”
“Well you are big-“ Suddenly Izuku’s face went red. “AH I DIDN’T MEAN LIKE THATEVENTHOUGHYOUPROBABLYAREANDOHMYGODWHYI’MGOINGTOSHUTUPNOW-“
Momo gave a little laugh, covering her mouth with her hand. “That was not Midoriya’s finest moment, I must admit.”
Kirishima nodded. “Very true, but are we just gonna overlook that All Might is just like, repeating his sexuality multiple times? He’s still sparking too!”
“IT’S FUN TO STAY AT HIGH SCHOOL: U.A.! IT’S FUN TO STAY AT HIGH SCHOOL: U.A.!”
Kaminari yelled out, slamming his fist on the chair in front of him, sparks releasing from his fists on contact, in time with All Might’s singing. “ITS FUN TO STAY AT THE Y… M-C-A!”
Suddenly All Might picked the boy up over his head, and they rocketed off towards Dagobah beach.
Inko shook her head. “At least he didn’t just grab onto you again…”
All Might started laughing even harder at that.
Six months later
Izuku was coated in sweat, trudging through the sands of Dagobah while lugging around a massive pile of trash, breathing heavily when suddenly the world went black, and he fell forward onto the floor.
Sero yelled out “Yo is he alright?”
“Mon Dieu! Is he cleaning the beach all by his lonesome?”
“Hey! That means he was probably the one that cleaned our Dagobah as well!”
“Ugh….. why….. why are we doing this?!”
“YOUNG MAN! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!”
“Yes sir…” He groaned, knowing what was coming. All Might always said the same stuff, sometimes almost robotically.
“I SAID YOUNG MAN! WHAT DO YOU WANNA BE?!”
“A hero, as we’ve established-“
“I SAID YOUNG MAN! YOU CAN MAKE REAL YOUR DREAMS!
Jirou laughed. “Now that we know he’s singing the YMCA song, he makes a lot more sense. Before it was just gibberish.”
Bakugou huffed. “Would have thought you would figure it out first, Jack's. Kinda disappointed in you.
Jirou flipped him off, hiding it from Eri. “yea, well not all of us are here for your pleasure, ‘king explosion murder.’
Before Bakugou could do much more than growl at the girl, Logar shushed them both.
And so, they got to work again, as Midoriya watched the man seemingly glow.
‘Remember why you’re doing this Izuku. He may not have said it but he wrote something about a quirk inheritance…’
That created a fuss. Logar had already known it was coming, so he had been sure to cover Eri’s ears, who was sitting on Izuku’s lap next to him.
“Inherited Quirks?! Is that even possible?”
Todoroki stood up, whipped around so fast he became a blur, and pointed at All Might, taking a pose akin to Pheonix Wright, right before he was about to clap some poor lawyer. “The only way to inherit a Quirk is by your parents! I was right! Midoriya IS All Might’s secret love child!”
All Might sweatdropped, glancing at Inko, who was performing a wombo combo of blushing, and looking furious. Standing up, she glared at Todoroki. “I was married when I had Izuku! What exactly are you suggesting young man?”
That cowed Todoroki instantly, the boy literally flinching from the fury emanating off of Inko at that moment. He bowed his head and sat back down, sweating. “I was suggesting nothing ma’am. My humble apologies.”
The rest of the class was silent for a moment, looking at Todoroki in surprise. It was after this moment of silence that Momo raised her hand, as if she was in class, looking at All Might.
All Might huffed, looking around the room, mentally preparing himself for this. Momo took his huff as an acknowledgment and spoke. “All Might, could you explain what your alternate meant by ‘Quirk Inheritance?’
All Might shook his head. “I cannot. No.-” he continued before Momo could voice her disappointment. “- Logar, please wake Izuku up. It’s not my place to speak about this subject anymore.”
As Logar nodded, pausing the projection and waking Izuku up, Momo’s and Todoroki’s eyes opened with realization. But before they could voice their theory, Izuku ‘s eyes fluttered open, looking confused that everyone was staring at him with such intensity.
“Hey guys, what did I miss?”
As it was, Izuku trusted his classmates and teachers with the secret of One for All. The only person not aware was Eri, who had been given the noise-canceling headphones for the duration of his speech.
It wasn’t a topic for kids her age, no matter what she had already been through.
And while everyone was still shocked from the revelation of Izuku’s Quirk (because it was his now, All Might made sure everyone was aware of that), Nezu had promised them time to decompress after a few more universes.
So even though they had a lot of questions, they would save them for after.
Logar waited until he got the go-ahead from Nezu, and put Izuku back under his Quirk, the projector starting up again.
The day of the entrance exam
“Ugh…. That was gross.” Izuku complained, face scrunched up as he could still taste his mentor’s hair in his mouth. With a sad sigh after, he looked over himself. “I don’t feel any different…. Are you sure I’m worthy, All Might? I mean…. I feel like I just got lucky.”
Kaminari just turned slowly to All Might at that. “He… you made him eat your hair? Was there no other way? That's just rank, man.”
All Might flushed, sputtering. “I did, but it was the best way! One for All needs the user to ingest some DNA! And this was one of the only ways that didn’t land me in prison!”
Everyone in the room made a disgusted face at that, groaning and shaking their heads to remove that mental image. Inko gave All Might a light slap on the arm for that.
The number one pro laughed, clapping his hand onto his student’s shoulders.
“YOUNG MAN! I WAS ONCE IN YOUR SHOES!”
Izuku’s eyes went wide.
“E-eh?! You were quirkless?!”
“HE WAS FUCKING WHAT?!”
“I SAID, I WAS DOWN AND OUT WITH THE BLUES!”
“Ah… depression sucks. Though I never expected the man screaming ‘I am big gay’ in my face would be the one who was depressed.”
Mina nodded, agreeing with the Izuku on screen. “Mood my dude, but peeps can always surprise you! Even with sad stuff like that.”
“I FELT NO MAN CARED IF I WERE ALIVE! I FELT THE WHOLE WORLD WAS SO TIGHT!”
“Ah! Well, I care now, All Might! I promise! I’m going to ace that entrance exam, for you!” The greenette said, determined, turning and bolting away while getting a thumbs up from his mentor.
Inko smiled at that, and All Might watched the Izuku on-screen proudly, grinning ear to ear.
Who then promptly turned around with jerky movements as sparks began to flit off of him. He launched towards the nearest convenience store combined with a gas station, barrelling into where there was a young teen girl who leaned back in surprise.
“All Might!?”
“I SAID YOUNG MAN!”
“I-I’m a girl, sir!”
He grabbed a nearby oil drum, slamming down a few billion yen.
“Ah! All Might’s paying me for oil?! And this much?!
“YOU CAN GET YOURSELF CLEAN!”
“How did you know I was a smoker?!”
“YOU CAN HAVE A GOOD MEAL!”
“And that I come from a family in poverty?!”
“YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU FEEL!”
With that, All Might took the oil drum, lifted it up… and poured every last drop down his throat. His smile grew wider once he finally set it down as his movements became fluid again.
“ I SAID YOUNG MAN-“
Mirio laughed. “So even when he’s a YMCA-quoting, chaotic Robo-hero, All Might still helps out those in need no matter what!” turning to All Might, Mirio flexed, smiling. “You’re the best sir! Quirk or no Quirk!”
All Might looked embarrassed for a moment before reaching into his breast pocket and pulling out a small playing card. Kaminari and Mina yelled out, the rest of the class backing down in fear.
It was the dreaded Uno reverse card.
“No u, my boy.”
Bakguou let out angry huffs as he stomped through the gates of U.A. high, just wanting to get home for once.
Stupid fucking Deku having a sudden stupid fucking quirk that was fucking more powerful than his.
Fuck.
“If you extras even say a syllable I will murder everyone in this room, and then kill myself.”
The potential benefit of teasing him did not outweigh the threat of violence, so no-one spoke, just giggling to themselves.
A sudden rush of wind caused the teens normally rigid hair to billow and he looked up, before scowling upon seeing All Might before him. “Fuck off, I don’t want your encouragement.”
“YOUNG MAN! YOUNG MAN!”
“Save your speeches, All Mi-“
“ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME-“
“I SAID NO-“
“YOUNG MAN! YOUNG MAN! WHAT DO YOU WANNA BE?”
“A HERO YOU FUCKING MORON WHY ELSE WOULD I BE AT-“
Kaminari leaned over to Jirou and whispered. “Is it even legal to call All Might a moron? Did Bakugou just break the law or something?!”
Jirou snorted, earning a smirk from Kaminari. “You’re dumbass, you know that right?”
Kaminari just winked, shooting her finger guns.
“HIGH SCHOOL: U.A.”
Suddenly the man pulled out a sheet of paper, showing it to the blonde. It was an expulsion paper, and beside it was a picture of Midoriya in his current beaten upstate.
Bakugou’s name was on the expulsion form.
“IT’S FUN TO STAY AT HIGH SCHOOL: U.A.!”
He tapped the picture, making the teen blonde growl.
“…..Ok fuck, I get your point asshole.”
Tsu hummed, tapping her chin. “Well, they actually threatened to expel Bakugou in this universe of the battle trials! I always thought that he had gone a bit overboard during that. Kero”
All Might smiled wider, before throwing an arm around his student.
“BUT YOU GOT TO KNOW THIS ONE THING!”
“What, some stupid fucking secret hero knowledge?”
“NO MAN DOES IT ALL BY HIMSELF!”
“THAT’S LITERALLY WHAT YOU’RE FUCKING AWARDED FOR YOU IDIOT! ALSO FUCK YOU WATCH ME!”
“I SAID YOUNG MAN! PUT YOUR PRIDE ON THE SHELF!”
“WHY?!”
“JUST GO THERE! TO HIGH SCHOOL: U.A. AND THEY CAN HELP YOU TODAY!”
“WHO SAID I WANT HELP!?”
“I AM BIG GAY!”
“WHY THE FUCK DO YOU KEEP SAYING THAT?!”
“I AM BIG GAY!”
“I DON’T NEED TO KNOW-“ Suddenly All Might directed the student towards the school, where the red-headed Kirishima was looking out with a longing gaze.
“THEY HAVE EVERYTHING FOR YOU MEN TO ENJOY! YOU CAN HANG OUT WITH ALL THE BOYS!”
“Oh…. OH…. Oh shit, I’m gay….” The blonde just looked down, before walking back to the school. “I’m going to see that shitty haired idiot!”
Bakugou growled, glaring at Mina, who had started squealing. His eyes locked with Kirishima’s who just laughed and gave him a wink, before laughing again.
“IT’S FUN TO STAY AT HIGH SCHOOL: U.A!”
“And so, that’s how we’ll kill you, Symbol of Peace!” Shigaraki cried with a high laugh. “NOMU WILL-“
It was a shock for the USJ to show up so suddenly, especially after such a comedic scene. Mei let out a small yelp and covered Eri’s eyes and ears again, having to practically sit on Izuku’s lap to reach the girl comfortably.
“ I AM BIG GAY! ” All Might cried as he delivered a powerful strike to the creature’s stomach, sending it launching off into space.
“Oh…. Shit. KUROGIRI GET ME TO NARNIA!” The crusty villain covered in hands cried, jumping onto his partners’ back, who quickly had them disappearing
Tsu let out a small croak, smiling. “That was… much better than the last USJ we saw. Much better than our one, as well.”
Aizawa rubbed his elbow unconsciously, Present Mic patting him on his shoulder. “Yea… much better. Lucky them.”
The students looked around, before cheering, Midoriya the loudest.
“ALL MIGHT BEAT THE MUSCULAR MAN/BIRD CREATURE WITH HIS BIG GAY ENERGY!”
“YAY!”
Mina and Tooru jumped up, cheering. “Way to go! Big Gay energy all the way!”
Jirou nodded subtly in agreement, glancing at Momo.
What no one noticed where the extra sparks flying off All Might from the one hit the creature managed to land.
“Well, that can’t be good.”
Class 1-A walked through the halls of the U.A. with their heads held proud following the sports festival, even the ones who didn’t get into the final rounds as they all performed admirably.
Aizawa led them forward and they arrived at the stairs when they heard a sudden yell before a series of crashes ended with All Might crashing on the floor in front of them as his head shot off and hit a wall, exposing wires in his neck and head.
“AAHHHH!” most of the students screamed, while others just took steps back in shock. Once they had a moment to observe though, Izuku shot forward to his mentor’s side before inspecting the wires confused and looking up to his equally befuddled classmates.
He gently reached inside the body and pried it open, revealing a record player and a note which the greenette took out. He quickly checked the record and hummed.
“The YMCA?” He pondered, before reading the note. “ ‘To whoever reads this, you have found out the secret of All Might. He’s no more than an all-powerful jukebox, who has been imbued with the big gay energy the YMCA produces. It kept him going for so long, but even the big gay must run out eventually.’ ”
Todoroki was about to speak up, to start a rant on how his theory had been correct, but remembered what happened last time. He sat down, not wanting Inko’s wrath again.
“So All Might was just a big gay robot all along?” Aizawa asked, before taking out a pouch of ‘juice’ that was probably alcoholic and downing it all in one. “I FUCKING KNEW IT!”
“Wait…. So I’m powered by the big gay energy now?” Izuku asked, before his eyes widened. “Todoroki no!”
“TODOROKI YES!” And the heterochromatic jumped the greenette, trying to make out with him.
Todoroki very pointedly avoids looking at the Midoriya in the chair, or Mina for that matter, who had a shit-eating grin on her face as she stared at him.
“HELP!”
Suddenly, a blue spark launched out of All Might’s robotic corpse and hit Izuku, making Todoroki jump away while the greenette glowed green before turning back to normal.
“Uh.. Midoriya?” Ojiro began to ask as he walked to help his friend up, only for Izuku to grab his arm and pull him to the ground before beating him into a pulp for seemingly no reason.
“Deku! What are you doing!”
“Is… is he going to be OK?”
“You know how strong Midoriya is. Hopefully Recovery Girl can fix him.”
“I don’t think his tail is meant to bend that far.”
“Yea.”
“EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING!”
The other students could only watch in horror and guilty amusement.
While everyone was trying to hide their amusement, Bakugou was smiling, chuckling as he saw Ojirou get thrashed so thoroughly. Even his feelings towards Deku didn’t diminish his enjoyment of the beatdown.
Hidden in the Shadows, principal Nezu let out a frustrated sigh. His most powerful gay cyborg jukebox machines were fucking faulty morons.
Nezu just burst out laughing at this, gaining the attention of everyone in the room.
As well as the fear of everyone in the room. Nezu’s laughter was a lot like the stereotypical evil villain laugh. But what came next scared them even more.
“I had forgotten about that project! I guess that me decided it was worth a shot after all!”
Even after Logar started the next universe, they were wary of Nezu, who had just cemented himself in all of their minds as a chaotic, eldritch being.

Chapter Text
Before the next universe could start, Logar burst out laughing.
“Oh my fucking god, this is glorious. I’ll give no spoilers, but prepare yourselves, everyone. This universe is truly a gem…”
His cackling unsettled them all, and they mentally prepared themselves for whatever was coming. Hopefully, it would be enough.
Although they had a sneaking suspicion it wouldn’t be.
“Hey! Hey, you!” The crying Quirkless boy looked up at the computer monitor that was playing an ad before the iconic video of All Might’s debut.
“Yes, you! Are you an All Might fan?”
Kaminari chuckled “Dude, this is being asked to the literal biggest All Might fan in the multiverse.”
Momo nodded. “Yes, it is quite humorous. It is also something to note that Midoriya is Quirkless in this universe as well. Maybe he is just fated to be Quirkless?”
Inko teared up slightly at that. Why did the multiverse have it in so badly for her son?
Of course, he was! Everyone was All Might’s fan! What kind of dumb question was that?
“Silly question! Of course you are! You’re watching his videos! You’re buying his merch! But are you swole like him?”
Izuku looked down at his stick-thin arms and didn’t want to answer.
Kirishima laughed, flexing his biceps and smiling. “Oh, that's a mood. I think it was every kid’s dream to be as manly and swole as All Might.”
Sato nodded. “Hell yea! Why do you think I got into bodybuilding?”
“Of course not! Nobody can be as swole as All Might! However, you can attempt to try! Using this specially customized just for you All American Dream Plan, you too can try to be All Might!”
Izuku’s eyes sparkled, tears forgotten. He could never be like All Might, the Quirk test results he just got back had made it clear. However, maybe, just maybe, he could at least look like him.
His bedroom door opened, revealing his mother’s downtrodden visage.
“Mom, can I, can I try this plan?” he asked hesitantly. Their house was full of merchandise already, one more couldn’t hurt, right?
Inko was obviously conflicted. It was having a sale, but that was still a large amount of money. Additionally, working out from so young, was it truly safe?
In the end, the overwhelming guilt of not being able to give him a Quirk won out, and she agreed.
This should be safer than being a Pro Hero, right?
Mina let out an ‘ooo’ at that. “I mean, yea, bodybuilding would definitely be safer than being a hero, but like, big F for Baby Midoriya.”
“F.”
“F.”
“F.”
“What the fuck are you doing here, Deku? I thought you were too much of a bitch to be a Hero and ran to General Education.”
Iida gasped and put his hands on his chest, incredibly offended at his blond classmate’s crass language and absolutely atrocious behavior to this green-haired student.
“Bakugou! You cannot talk to Midoriya like that! Or anyone for that matter!”
“Bakugo! You cannot talk to somebody you don’t even know like that!”
Jirou huffed. “Jesus, could Iida be more predictable?”
Momo hummed, placing her hand on her chest. “He is incredibly earnest, that's for sure.”
“Hey, Kacchan!” Contrary to everyone’s expectations, the kid standing on the podium simply smiled brightly and waved at the insult sent his way. “I’m making an after school club and Nezu allowed me to promote it!”
Inko looked surprised. “I wasn’t aware that UA had after school clubs? I thought that the students would be too busy training to have time for that.”
Nezu smiled at her, nodding. “While it is true that hero students are encouraged to focus on their training, both in Quirk and body, we have many clubs, mainly populated by the other courses’ students. My favorite club happens to be the Debate club.”
If anyone heard Aizawa mumble ‘shocker’ under his breath, no-one called him out for it.
To everyone’s surprise and nervousness, Bakugo’s normally scowling face immediately twisted into a grimace of fear upon the declaration, while his skin paled so rapidly some were concerned about his blood levels.
“Wait what? Even Baku-bro is afraid!”
“Shut the fuck up, Spiky Hair! And don’t you turn me into a fucking JoJo reference!”
Eri turned to Ochako, who was sitting the closest to Izuku’s unconscious form. “Miss Chako, what's a JoJo reference?”
Ochako hummed, patting the girl on the head. “I’ll explain later, alright?”
Getting a nod from the girl, she let out a sigh of relief. That would have been a long conversation.
“C-c-c-club? You don’t mean...?” The class' trepidation turned to outright fear as the brashest and most fearless member of their class started stuttering, his normally loud and abrasive voice grew weak and squeaky as he addressed his apparent friend.
“He got Midoriya-ified, kero”
“Jesus, Tsu! It may be true, but don’t dog our boy Midoriya like that!”
“Yep! I finally did it! A club dedicated to fitness and perfecting our bodies to the best it can be. I called it” —at this the boy turned to unveil the stand behind him, revealing a brightly decorated cardboard piece with the club’s name, along with his name as the club leader— “the Body Improvement Club!”
Kaminari immediately perked up at this, staring at the screen in anticipation. Mina did so too, both of them have heard of this club before.
“Pardon my interruption,” a girl with black hair done up in a huge ponytail interrupted, “but I do believe we, as Hero Course students, are already receiving enough physical training. Additionally, with our schedule, I doubt we would have time for club activities.”
“And that is totally fine!” Far from being deterred, Midoriya’s smile only grew wider and brighter with genuine encouragement. “We’re not aiming for, like, Koshien or anything. The goal of this club is to provide assistance, encouragement, and company to those who wish to improve their bodies and health.
“If you need help, we’re here. If you can’t make it, that’s fine. If you just want someone to exercise together with, come hang out! We’re here to help and you’re welcomed to help us as well!”
Present Mic put a hand over his eyes dramatically and leaned back in his chair. “God…please save me…he’s too bright…too pure!”
Aizawa just huffed, not wanting to admit that he agreed with Mic. He had noticed a long time ago that outside of combat, Midoriya was akin to a personified puppy dog. He wondered if that was just how he was, or the result of an overlooked Quirk.
Probably the former, if the trend of his being truly Quirkless in all these universes help up in their own.
Most of the class clapped politely in response to the small speech, flustering Izuku who proceeded to scratch his head in embarrassment. The only exceptions were Bakugo, who was putting forth his best efforts to hide behind the person in front of him (made significantly harder by the fact that said person was Hagakure Toru, who was invisible), Aizawa, who was dead to the world in his sleeping bag, and Mineta, who raised a skeptical eyebrow.
“No offense, dude, but you don’t look like someone that can help anyone exercise.”
“Jeez. Think those thoughts, but don't say them, dude!”
“Mineta!” Kirishima yelled, “That is not manly!”
“Yeah man, that was unnecessarily rude,” Kaminari chimed in, “Just because the guy looks like a twig doesn’t mean— Ah nuts! I mean there’s nothing wrong with being scrawny— Ah double nuts! I mean—”
Jirou huffed, chuckling softly under her breath. “Just digging the hole even deeper dumbass.”
Kaminari shot her a hurt look. “Hey! That's not me! That's the other me! Why do you have to be so mean?”
Jirou laughed. “Well, you just make it so easy!”
Midoriya’s good-natured laugh cut through Kaminari’s panicked ramblings, filling the blond with relief. “Relax! I’m not mad! I know I still have a long way to go!”
Ochako smiled, pumping her fists. “Of course he’d forgive you just like that! That’s Deku for you!”
“But still—”
“Tell you what?” Midoriya cut off the electrifying boy before he could get started again, still with the same pleasant smile on his face. “Why don’t you come check us out and we’ll call it even, hm?”
Mina laughed, poking Kaminari in the shoulder. “Oh, he got you good dude! Now you can’t not go without seeming rude!”
The blond’s awkward smile turned into a grimace while Tokoyami mumbled something about his smile being too bright for Dark Shadow to appear.
“Well, um, I don’t know. I’m not much for exercising and I might hold you guys back.”
“Nonsense!” His smile was approaching blinding now. In fact, some would swear that a random streak of sunlight had glinted off his teeth and actually blinded someone. “It’s never too late to start and no one is a burden if they try their best! You too can become—”
Mineta was seated behind Bakugou, and thus he was the only one to notice the unusually terrified looking blond scrambling to dive beneath his desk as Midoriya turned sideways and used his left hand to grab his right wrist.
Iida chopped the air, a small smile on his face seeing Bakugou act like this.“Ready yourself everyone! If it’s got Bakugou like this, we gotta be ready!”
“Like THIS!”
And flexed.
“SMASH!”
Class 1-A witnessed, dumbfounded, as the guy went from five feet and scrawny to seven and Herculean in a single shout. His uniform did not survive, exploding off his shredded body in a confetti of fabric and buttons, hitting the students sitting in front and snapping them out of their dazes.
Momo was the first to snap out of her shock, babbling quietly at the sight. “Wha… what? What just happened?”
Jirou just shrugged next to her, he hands over her face, her fingers coincidentally spread just enough for her to peek through. “No clue, Yaomomo. No fucking clue.”
The first to react was Jiro, the girl being especially sensitive to lewd stuff, who screeched in a perfect mezzo-soprano and covered her burning hot face with her hands (leaving space between her fingers to see through). The second to do so was Iida, (his hand chops almost gave Tsuyu a concussion had she not instinctively ducked) who was in the process of standing up to berate this delinquent for desecrating the school uniform.
Until Sato abruptly stood up, ripped off his top in one move, and entered a quarter turn pose, showing off his impressive physique even without his Quirk in use.
“SWEET!”
“Hell yea! Flex-off! Let’s go!” Sato jumped to his feet, reaching for the top of his shirt, before his arms were grabbed by Aizawa’s scarf.
“Take that shirt off and you have detention for a week. I can only take so much chaos.”
Nezu chuckled at that, mumbling ‘Lightweight’ to himself.
Midoriya switched to a front lat spread in response, demonstrating that Yaoyorozu was the only one with a chest close enough in size to his pecs. Said girl was burying her desk in the matryoshka dolls popping out from all over her body.
“SMASH!”
Uraraka had accidentally activated her Quirk on herself and was floating on the ceiling.
Hagakure was starting to resemble a disco ball with how much she was sparkling.
Jiro had a fleeting moment of relief when Shoji, the one sitting in front of her, stood up and blocked the view for a split second.
Jirou groaned, shaking her head. “Oh no. Not you too, Shoji.”
The boy in question just bowed slightly in her direction, all 6 of his hands together. “My apologies, Jirou. I am not in control of what my alternate self does.”
Before the two pairs of arms below his main one bulked up and tore apart his top, making her screaming reach soprano.
“OCTO!”
The six-armed teen curled each of his arms into a different position, perfectly resembling a three-faced and six-armed Asura statue, both in the pose and in the awesomeness of his musculature.
Tsuyu remained stone-faced, though with a dusting of redness on her cheeks.
“I think I’m pregnant, ribbit.”
“TSU!”
“Damn, Tsu, tell us what you really think.”
“I stand by what the other me said, kero.”
Ashido, who was in the process of burning through her desk and chair with acid, replied faintly.
“That’s not how it works, Tsu.”
“It is now, ribbit.”
At this point, Aizawa had given up, and wrapped his eyes and ears with his own scarf and tightened it as much as he could, trying his hardest to block out this universe.
Midnight and Present Mic just laughed their ass off at both the universe on the screen and the plight of their friend.
The boys, meanwhile, were in various states of shock and awe.
Kirishima, being the person next closest to being able to speak Musclian, was crying about how “MANLY” the whole thing was and vowed to reach that level.
Mineta, noticing the effects the gun show was having on the girls, vowed to learn Midoriya’s secret so he could be popular.
Ojiro was in awe that he was bearing witness to the legendary Muscle Arts in action and resolved to join so he could learn this elusive art.
Aoyama was twinkling like a madman and praising his “beautifique” classmates, his voice sounding more and more like a stereotypical sports commentator the more he talked.
Iida was screaming about destroying school property and yelling in class. He did not seem to notice the hypocrisy.
Tokoyami was wrestling Dark Shadow to prevent it from joining the chaos.
Sero had fainted due to Jiro’s high pitched screams overloading his ears as well as being accidentally whacked on the head by Dark Shadow.
Kaminari was wondering if destroying clothing was a requirement. His clothes were brand name.
Bakugo was going into a PTSD-induced panic attack under his table.
Todoroki was wondering what Lunch Rush’s special for lunch today was.
Aizawa was still sleeping through the whole thing.
The Aizawa of their own universe groaned at this, looking at the screen with jealousy. “Please, God, strike me down right here so that I don’t have to think about this universe anymore.”
Next thing he heard, Nezu was laughing. “No, I don’t think I will, Shouta.”
He then continued to laugh to himself ignoring the looks from the other people in the room.
Shigaraki Tomura was having a bad day. After months of planning, ever since the public got wind of the news of All Might teaching at UA, he had finally assembled enough PK players for the Boss Rush.
With everyone’s surprise at Shigiraki’s sudden appearance, not many people noticed the growl that escaped Izuku’s throat, his face curling up into an angry frown for a moment.
Mei zoomed in on the boy’s face, checking it thoroughly to make sure that the boy was okay. She didn’t want her best customer and first friend(?) to get hurt.
Ochako glanced over as she saw his frown, frowning herself as she heard the growl. She had never really seen Deku truly angry before, except for when he fought Overhaul, and she still had dreams about that day.
Logar was also checking on the boy, studying the boys movements as the universes progressed. He hadn’t really used it on one person this much consecutively before, so he didn’t really know what was happening to Midoriya.
Was the boy growing a resistance to his Quirk as a whole? Or was he just waking up?
Sure, the vast majority of them were faceless mobs, gnats to be crushed during the clash between All Might and the Nomu at most, but that was a sacrifice Tomura was willing to make.
He had the whole strategy planned out well in advance. By destroying the UA gates, he had created the perfect opportunity so that the press could sneak in and create a distraction. When the Pro Heroes arrived, they couldn’t even use force to subdue them because they were, technically, not villains.
Nezu hummed. “Not a bad plan, I must admit, especially for someone of his maturity at the time to have come up with.”
All Might coughed. “How do we know it was Shigiraki who thought of it? It could have been All for One.”
Nezu shook his head. “No, at this point, I believe that All for One was merely supporting Shigaraki, and allowing the boy to make his own decisions. It’s ironic. All for One seems like he would make an excellent teacher.”
All of the students in the room shuddered at the thought.
Thanks to that, Tomura had enough time to sneak in, grab the curriculum plans, steal some cookies and coffee off the break rooms, take a selfie, force Kurogiri to take a picture of him T-posing at Eraser’s desk, and leave via Kurogiri’s portal.
What? He had been feeling petty.
Kaminari had to hold in his laughter at that, seeing the imposing form of Shigaraki T-posing of all things was hilarious. Mina nudged him, trying to stop smiling herself, failing badly.
Anyway, using the curriculum, he was able to find out that the next day, All Might was scheduled to be one of the three teachers to babysit a bunch of nooby NPCs at a remote facility far from the main campus, far enough that they would have to take a bus there.
Using Giran, he was able to find a Rogue specialized in sabotaging communications, ensuring that his entire party would have plenty of time to bring down the boss.
Master was even generous enough to give him a cheat code. The Nomu was still in its experimental stage, but it was also buffed up with Regeneration, Shock Absorption, and who knew how many Super Strengths.
Inko let out a yelp at that. “ What?! The rumour that those things had multiple Quirks was true?! And Izuku fought one of them?!”
All Might put his hand on hers, placing the other one on her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. “Yes, they have multiple Quirks, and yes, Young Midoriya fought one. But remember, this is in the past, he is okay, safe here with us.”
The others left the two of them alone as they refocused back on the screen, not wanting to intrude on the moment.
Coupled that with the massive permanent debuff that Master inflicted on the Hero, and the cannon fodders tasked to kill as many of the brats as possible to pull his aggro away from solely focusing on it, he was confident they would be successful in bringing down the World Boss.
It was perfect.
Until it wasn’t.
The first sign things were going wrong was some of the idiots not willing to wait a measly few hours for the raid and had instead gone out for their own PVP battles.
They were swiftly defeated by the other Pros and a commuting All Might, thinning their force. That was fine, Tomura had said, less to work with but quality versus quantity.
The second sign that the plan wasn’t as flawless as he had thought was when they showed up and there were no signs of All Might. Tomura had been disappointed. All that planning, down the drain, just like that.
That was still fine, Tomura had said, remembering Master’s lesson on improvising. If the raid failed then at the very least, he could get rid of some future troublesome NPCs.
The third sign that, perhaps, things might not be totally kosher was when, in the middle of disposing of Eraserhead, Kurogiri teleported back to his side to report that he had failed to kill Thirteen and let a brat escape.
Sero cheered. “Go Iida! Run and get help! Shigiraki’s plans are all going to crap!”
The others cheered for Iida as well, including Eri, who didn’t really know who Iida was, but everyone else was cheering, and it looked like fun.
If Tomura was angry before, then he was positively livid now. In fact, if Kurogiri had not been their ticket out of there then he would have been disintegrated right then and there. Sadly, he needed the fast travel option, so Kurogiri lived to see another day.
He should have just left right then and there.
Instead, he had seen a couple brats hiding in the bush and decided to kill them to piss off the Symbol of Peace.
He had been feeling petty.
Momo hummed. “He feels petty a lot, doesn’t he? Maybe he just is petty.”
Tooru giggled at that. “Yaomomo throwing shade!”
The girl just looked at her (clothes) in confusion. “I...uh…what?”
He only got as far as disintegrating the green-haired brat’s uniform top (Why was he even wearing a regular uniform? Weren’t Heroes supposed to have, like, costumes and shit?) before an incredible impact hit him in the face.
“Midoriya!”
“Deku!”
“Great, the fucking nerd got himself dusted, really helpful.”
And now he was lying on the ground, staring up at the ceiling of the USJ and wondering what the fuck just happened.
“It appears you’ve been hit by his pecs, Master Shigaraki.”
...His pecs?
Whatever. Fuck this.
“NOMU! KILL HIM!”
“Wait he’s not dead?”
“Isn’t he Quirkless? How did he survive Shigiraki’s Quirk?”
When no roars of rage or cries of pain came, Tomura was just a bit nettled. The Nomu was supposed to be the ultimate cheat code, specifically designed to follow every single one of Tomura’s order to bring down the Symbol of Peace, mowing down anything in its path to do so. Faulty coding was not an acceptable excuse.
Sitting up, Tomura opened his mouth to yell at the Nomu, only to come to a truly disturbing sight. He had thought the kid he tried to kill just now looked like a middle schooler, what with the babyface and the short thin body.
Only now, that same babyface was photoshopped into a mostly naked body of an Adonis, chiseled muscles stack upon each other like boulders on a mountain. This type of body was one that Tomura had only ever seen attached to All Might and the Nomu.
Mina laughed, tears in her eyes. “Oh my god he totally does look like a shitty photoshop job! That's fantastic!”
Speaking of the Nomu, instead of eviscerating the trash like it should be doing, it was instead just standing there, seemingly also staring dumbfounded like the rest of them. Well, time to fix that.
“NOMU—”
“SMASH!”
The sheer force of the kid’s, no not kid, not with that body, the freak’s muscle enlarging even further when he flexed into a pose pushed Tomura back, interrupting his yell.
“KREK!” The Nomu finally screeched back, making Tomura grinned in triumph. Weird flexing power or not, the kid is dea—
Why the hell was the Nomu posing as well? What the fuck is going on?
Kaminari gave the screen a weird look. “Okay, why do I feel like everyone in this universe is on crack?”
Logar nodded. “It is very crack-like, Mr. Kaminari, I agree. I, for one, enjoy it immensely.”
Nezu laughed. “I concur!”
“SMASH!” The freak of nature bellowed cheerfully and switched to a front abdominal and thigh pose, showing off taut muscles wrapped around his limbs akin to coils of steel wrapped around marble columns.
“KREK!” The Nomu in response switched to a javelin-thrower pose, showing off its massive arms, artificially enhanced to look even bigger to handle the Super Strength Quirks necessary to go-toe to-toe with All Might.
“Are they…conversing with each other?” Tomura asked, disturbed. It wasn’t supposed to do that. It wasn’t supposed to be capable of enough intelligence to do that.
Amajiki looked at the screen in confusion, before glancing over at Mirio, who was smiling.“Is the power of swoleness making it possible for the Nomu to talk to Midoriya through flexing? Is…is that what I’m seeing here?”
Mirio nodded, flashing Amajiki a bright smile. “Yea! Midoirya asked if the Nomu wanted to join the body improvement club. The Nomu is a bit rusty though, so I can’t tell if he replied with a yes or no just yet.”
Everyone turned to him in surprise, and Mirio just smiled, flexing his arms. “What, did you think I was this buff just for show?”
“...It appears—”
BANG!
A massive explosion rocked the facility, revealing the scowling visage of the Symbol of Peace at the door. Thank fuck he was here now. All Might was the Number One Hero, right? He would straighten out this madness, right?
Tsu put her finger to her chin. “You know your villainous plan has broken down when you're hoping All Might will make things right, you know, kero?”
Iida nodded. “Yes, it definitely seems quite counter-intuitive for a villain to be wishing for All Might’s help in this situation!”
“I AM HERE! TO HE— Young Midoriya? What are you doing here?”
‘Apparently not,’ Tomura thought numbly.
“SMASH!” The freak switched to a rear lat spread, showing off his massive back, the muscles forming a visage of a grinning demon.
“A new member to the Body Improvement Club you say? He does have pretty good physique…”
“KREK!” The Nomu screeched pleadingly, now switching to the most muscular pose, displaying all of its muscles specifically designed to kill the man he was now trying to impress.
Kaminari just laughed. “I gotta say, even for all this craziness, I’d be ok if this was how our USJ had gone. If the Nomu wanted to impress All Might, we could probably just sic it on our enemies! It’d be like our little All Might lite!”
Nezu put a paw to his chin, seriously considering the idea. Maybe he should do some investigating into the Nomu from the USJ...
“Say no more. For I AM HERE!”
As the freaks started bellowing and posing at each other. Tomura decided he was too sober for this and walked through Kurogiri’s portal back to the bar.
The USJ invasion ended without further incident.
“He just LEFT?!”
Logar chuckled as the class started shouting at that, holding his hands up to try and calm them down. “Yes, he did just leave. And that's where my Quirk cuts off, so I don’t know what happens next!”
At this, Momo stuck her hand into the air. Logar looked over to her and nodded. “What's the issue, Miss Yaoyorozu?”
She nodded to him and stood up. “What does it mean if your Quirk cuts off? Are you locked out of that universe forever? Or if it turns up again will you suddenly gain the new information?”
Logar thought for a moment, before shrugging. “I’m not entirely sure, to be honest. I’ve never seen the same universe again after I’ve seen it once before, but with Midoriya’s actions during this viewing, my understanding of my own Quirk is being tested.”
“Who knows, maybe each universe is just a story someone is writing, and I can only see what they’re written? Unlikely, I know, but with the multiverse, you can never be sure!”
Momo nodded, accepting that answer. “I see. Hopefully we can help you understand it better! This is UA, after all!”
Nezu clapped his hands, smiling. “Well said, Miss Yaoyorozu! Logar, could you please wake Mr. Midoriya up? I think we are done for today. We will continue this tomorrow, but for now, we should let the boy rest.”
Logar gave Nezu a half-hearted salute, before turning his Quirk off, watching Midoriya start to wake up even quicker than he had been before. It seemed that he really was building up some sort of resistance to his Quirk.
Would it make his Quirk stop working altogether if he became resistant? Or would Midoriya just be able to stay awake while it was active? He had never seen someone view their own alternate lives directly before, it might be an interesting experience.
Oh well, in any case it was a theory for tomorrow. For now, he would allow the boy to return to his dorms and rest his mind and body.
He wondered what the next Universe would have in store for them.

Chapter Text
Izuku woke up, still feeling incredibly groggy.
His shoulders ached, probably from it hanging while he was unconscious all of yesterday. He rolled them and did a few stretches as he got dressed, heading down to the dorms kitchen to grab breakfast.
He reached the bottom of the stairs and saw most of his class already up, something that surprised him. “Guys? Why is everyone up? I’m usually one of the first.”
Iida walked up to him, chopping his arm. “We are up because we are all excited to view more of your alternate lives! They are quite enjoyable, even if some have been tragic.”
Izuku looked down as he felt someone tug on his pants leg. He smiled when he saw that it was Eri, who made grabby hands at him until he picked her up.
“They are really cool! But sometime Miribro will cover my eyes and ears! He says that it's because it shows grown-up things, but it’s still not fun.”
He laughed as he lifted her up onto his shoulders, smiling. “I’m sure it’s for your own good, Eri! Now, have you had breakfast yet?”
Eri shook her head, and Izuku hummed. “Alright then! Seeing as you're already up, how about I make pancakes!”
Eri let out a gasp, grabbing his hair and beaming. “Pancakes!”
He would take that as a yes.
After breakfast, Aizawa came downstairs, meaning that they could head to the viewing room.
Logar was already there, sitting and waiting patiently for them to arrive. He moved quickly to get Izuku all set up again, as the crowd of students and teachers all found their seats.
“Alright, everyone! He’s all good to go. I’ll be starting the first one for the day now!”
And with a flourish, the next universe appeared on the screen.
Izuku managed to catch the tail end of Iida and Kirishima’s fight, the Engine quirked boy covered in bruises and scrapes as he tried to force the redhead out of the arena.
“I see this one is taking place during the sports festival! But I never fought Kirishima, so it’s obvious that there will be different outcomes!”
He was immediately shushed by Jirou. “Captain Obvious much?”
Instead of having the intended effect, it just made him louder momentarily. “My apologies! I will be quiet!”
Kirishima had dug his hardened fingers into the concrete and was hardening his body each time the other teen got close, which was probably the cause of the blue-haired boy’s numerous wounds, particularly on his shins.
“Hey guys,” Izuku called as he sat beside Kaminari, fist-bumping the yellow blond, “I got caught up checking on Neito, what happened in Raka’s fight?”
Mina leaned forward and whispered into Ochako’s ear. “Raka, eh? Seems like they’re close”
The girl threw an elbow back jokily, blushing up a storm. “Shut up! I’m sure they’re just friends, like me and Deku”
Mina gave her a look that made it abundantly clear that she didn’t believe her. Ochako just turned her head back to the screen and kept watching, trying to calm down her blush.
“Oh,” the class looked kind of down for a moment, before Jiro explained, “Baka-go won, but Uraraka gave him a real run for his money. She floated a ton of debris above him and tried to drop it on him, but he managed to blast it all away.”
“Damn, sounds like it was pretty close,” Izuku hummed.
“Yeah, though Aizawa-sensei scolded a bunch of the audience for calling Uraraka-chan weak and saying that Bakugo was bullying her, kero,” Tsuyu added, “But I don’t know about that.”
“Nah, Kacchan wouldn’t bully a serious opponent,” Izuku muttered, pulling out his notebook as he watched the match below, “He’s got too much pride to do that. How long has this match been going on?”
“It seems that Uraraka and Bakugou’s fight is largely the same. Bad luck Uraraka! I’m sure you’ll get him next year!”
Bakugou roared. “THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY SPARK-PLUG?!”
“Sssshhh!!!”
“About five minutes,” Kaminari yawned as he stretched, “It’s getting kind of boring. Iida just keeps trying to kick Kirishima, but Kirishima hardens and blocks it.”
“Damn,” Izuku replied, “So it’s a war of attrition. Wonder who’ll give first.”
“Shouldn’t you know?” Mina asked, “Can’t you like, feel their quirks?”
“Hint #1! This Midoriya can feel Quirks! Maybe he has something like Mr Aizawa’s Quirk?”
“Yeah, but not like that,” Izuku sighed, sitting back in his chair, “I know where they are and can sort of tell how they work and when they’re being used. But not how much stamina they have left.”
“Oh,” the pink-skinned girl replied, before the crowd suddenly gave a cheer, more out of relief than celebration, as Iida fell to the ground, his shins dripping blood, and conceded, “Aw, poor Iida. At least we get to move on to the next match now.”
“Yeah,” Izuku hummed, watching as Iida was helped off the stage by Kirishima, the taller boy staggering on his injured legs.
Kirishima spoke up at that. “Damn! Bad luck Iida my dude! Sorry about that!”
Iida shook his head. “Nonsense! Do not apologise for beating me fair and square! Also, it was not you, but your dimensional doppelganger! You have nothing to be sorry for!”
Kirishima beamed. “So manly!”
“Nice try!” the crowd chanted as Todoroki thawed Sero out of the ice, the tape-wielding boy giving a dejected smile.
There was a hiss of sympathy from Sero’s friends. Mina clapped the boy on the shoulder. “Yikes.”
Sero frowned, his knees up to his chest. “Just when I thought everyone would have forgotten that bit…”
In the background, Bakugou was pissing himself laughing, not caring who saw him. People tried to get him to stop, but when Eri started giggling at it as well, they knew they had lost.
Bakugo scowled as he peppered Kirishima with large explosions, knocking the Hardening quirk user back. His previous fight with Iida had obviously taken its toll on Kirishima because he went down surprisingly quickly, his hardened skin cracking under Bakugo’s onslaught.
“Bakugo wins!” Midnight yelled, the blond glaring up into the stands as he locked eyes with Izuku and Todoroki, sneering at them before stalking off the stage.
“Great job bakubro!”
“Don’t patronise me! Of course, I won! You’d need to be way stronger to even compete!”
Kirishima smirked. “Then look out next year! I’m gonna be way stronger!”
Izuku hummed as he walked through the hallway, frowning slightly as he felt the powerful quirk approaching.
“Huh,” he muttered as he strolled past the irate looking Endeavor, “Pretty basic.”
Everyone turned to Todoroki when they heard him let out a surprised “Oh shit.”
“What was that brat?” the No. 2 growled, glaring at Izuku as the teen stopped.
Kaminari gulped. “Endeavour wouldn’t kill a student, right? Right?”
Todoroki shook his head. “Definitely not there. Too many cameras.”
Ignoring Kaminari’s shout of “that’s the issue for him?!” , Todoroki went back to watching. The teachers looked at the boy with worry, Nezu noting that down for further investigation.
Izuku gave a hidden sigh, rolling his eyes as he turned to face the Pro. Knowing what he knew, it was probably best to get away from the man as quickly as possible. Didn’t mean he couldn’t have some fun with him first though.
“O-oh! Sorry, I have a habit of muttering about quirks when I feel them,” Izuku stammered, smiling sheepishly as he started to back away, “I just meant that you’ve managed to make a really strong quirk for how basic it is.”
“Basic?” the towering man growled, “What do you mean “basic”?”
“Oh, well you can barely control your flames at all, just direct them, really,” Izuku mumbled, looking down at the ground as he felt the heat surge, fighting to keep the slight smile off his face, “So it’s really impressive how far you’ve gotten with only the most basic of fire Production Control quirks.”
Mina spoke up. “Wow. This version of Midoriya literally has balls of steel. Who just goes up to the #2 hero at the time and says ‘your Quirk is basic’? That’s honestly impressive.”
Uraraka looked over to Todoroki. “Exactly how certain are you that Endeavour wouldn’t kill a student?”
Todorokie shrugged. “After that little speech, much less so.”
Uraraka squeaked. “Not helping!”
Todoroki cocked his head to the side. “But you asked, so I told the truth?”
“You little brat,” the man growled, stepping towards Izuku, “I recognize you now. You’re the one who can copy quirks. You used my Shoto’s quirk in the race. You used my move in the race.”
Momo’s eyes sparkled as she stood up. “A Copy Quirk! Like Monoma’s from 1-B! Possibly a ranged variant, if he can sense the Quirks around him!”
Logar chuckled. “I guessed that you might get it first, Yaoyorozu. You are correct. This Midoriya can copy Quirks from short range, but only one at a time. At the moment at least. I am unsure about his limits in the far future.”
“Your…Oh! Right, that!” Izuku hummed, almost slipping from his act, “Actually, Todoroki-san’s quirk is much stronger than yours, so I wouldn’t really call it your move. It’s a lot more powerful. Pity about his trauma.”
“Shoto’s quirk is…” Endeavour stopped for a moment, a hint of a grin on his face, before he blinked, “Wait, “trauma”?”
Once again, the teachers gave Todoroki some concerned looks. Nezu leaned over and patted Aizawa on the head. “Bring Todoroki to my office once we are done here today. We need to talk about all this. You should be present as well.”
Aizawa nodded, seemingly thinking the same thing. “Yes sir. We’ll be there.”
“Oh, I wasn’t supposed to say that,” Izuku bit his lip as he bowed, still playing the nervous and overwhelmed teen, “Sorry sir, but I have to get to my match.”
He quickly spun on his heel and walked stiffly away, returning to his usual relaxed gait after rounding a corner.
“Wow,” Izuku muttered to himself, mimicking the Pro, “ My Shoto , my move, the asshole has a bigger ego than Kacchan. I wonder if it’s as fragile.”
“Fuck you Deku! I’ll kick your ass!”
The people in the front row turned to Bakugou and put a finger to their lips, Eri included. “Boomy! Stop saying bad words! They’re bad!”
Izuku shook himself out as he walked onto the field, waving to the crowd as he stepped onto the stage. He looked over at his opponent, the stoic teen simply scowling at him.
“So,” Izuku said as he and Shoto stood opposite each other, “You going to use your whole quirk?”
Jirou hummed. “Oh yea, I kinda forgot how focused on his ice Todoroki was early on in the year. Guess Midoriya is willing to make him use it in any universe.”
Todoroki nodded. “I was… misguided. Midoriya helped me see clearly for the first time in many years.”
“If I defeat you…” Shoto muttered, staring at the ground for a moment before looking up, his eyes burning with determination, “When I defeat you, then I’ll have proved my point. I don’t need his power to be strong!”
“And who says it’s his power?” Izuku asked, “Cause your quirk and his feel completely different.”
“Shut up!” Shoto growled.
“No,” Izuku retorted, eyes darting to the side as Midnight raised her riding crop, “You need to hear this, Todoroki.”
“SHUT UP!” the teen yelled as Midnight dropped her arm, announcing the start of the match, his arm swinging the instant the word ended, unleashing a massive iceberg at the other teen.
Sero shivered, getting slight PTSD at the size of the glacier. Mina patted him on the shoulder, smiling widely, trying not to laugh at his reaction.
A high-pitched whistling filled the air as the iceberg slammed into Izuku, steam cascading out of the hole he bored into the side of the wall of ice. A moment later, the front of the iceberg erupted in a spray of shattered ice, steam, and concentrated flame. Izuku stepped out of the hole as though he’d only been mildly inconvenienced, swinging his own right arm at Todoroki.
“He just shrugged it off! How manly is that?!”
Tsuyu put her finger to her chin. “With Izuku using both sides of Todoroki’s own Quirk, it's kinda obvious who is going to win this, kero. Not to mention that Izuku seems to actually be better with it than Todoroki is.”
She turned to the boy after that, frowning. “No offence, Kero.”
He shook his head. “None taken”
The boy blinked as he heard the telltale tinkling of ice forming, looking down just in time to dodge.
The dark blue spikes of ice shot from the frost-covered ground, Izuku walking calmly towards the other teen as he continued to swing his arm lazily back and forth. Like a conductor of an orchestra, he directed the dark blue spikes to erupt from the ground, not giving Shoto enough time to wind up his attacks, the red- and white-haired teen barely having the time to erect small walls to block the icicles.
Todoroki’s eyes sparkled as he watched Midoriya use his Quirk, much better than he had ever used it, even his ice.T
“SHOTO!”
The shout echoed over the stadium, making both teens pause, Izuku to sigh and Todoroki to flinch, “STOP PLAYING AROUND AND DEFEAT THAT FRAUD!”
“Ignore him,” Izuku called out as Todoroki dodged another blast of dark blue ice, “He’s not worth it. Trust me on that.”
A whistle sounded from the viewers. Mirio just smirked as people turned and looked at him. ‘This Midoriya really is going at Endeavour pretty hard. He must have pissed him right off!”
Nezu nodded, but his notice was more out of concern for Todoroki than it was being impressed with Midoirya. “Yes, it seems that Midoriya has his sights set on the #2 hero. I wonder why that is…”
“How do you know?”
“Because you can control your flames way better than he could ever hope to,” Izuku hummed, holding up his left arm as the ball of flame swirled in his palm, tightening as it began to glow white-hot, “Enough to do stuff like this, which is way more than that flaming dumpster can do.”
“What?” Todoroki blinked, “But I…how?”
“How do you control your ice?” Izuku shrugged, “It works the same way, but opposite if that makes any sense.”
“I can…control my ice?”
Everyone just looked at Todoroki at that, and he just shrugged. “I wasn’t taught how to. I assumed that was because my father knew what I could and couldn’t do. After a while, I stopped caring about anything he wasn’t trying to teach me, for various reasons.”
“Jebus Christmas!” Izuku shouted as he turned away, shaking his head in disbelief, “What has that idiot been teaching you? “Big attack makes bad guys go bye-bye”? Is that it? Cause that’s some caveman logic right there!”
Todoroki actually snorted. “That is actually the extent of what he taught me. It is only at UA that I have begun to grow past what he forced me to be.”
The teachers frowned at the wording, glancing at each other. The big 3 seemed concerned as well but quickly hid it, instead deciding to cheer Todoroki on.
Mirio jumped from his seat. “Hell yea! I honestly can’t wait to see what you’ll be able to do once you’ve mastered your Quirk, Todoroki! You’re gonna be a great hero!”
“Caveman…what are you talking about?” Todoroki asked, staring at the other teen in shock.
“I am using your quirk, Todoroki,” Izuku gave a frustrated sigh as he turned back to the other teen, “Your quirk, not his. He can just barely control his flames; do you understand what that means?”
“I…no?”
“The greater control had to come from somewhere,” Izuku said softly, his tone suddenly becoming more measured and kinder, “It’s too strong to just be a natural evolution, so you must have gotten it from someone. If it wasn’t your father, then it could only be from your…”
“Mother,” the other teen finished, staring at Izuku as memories rushed through his head. A moment later, the flames erupted from his left side, sublimating the ice that had gathered on his right as he gave Izuku a wide, slightly mad, grin, “Thank you, Midoriya. You reminded me of something important that I had forgotten.”
Kaminari cheered. “Woah! This Midoriya got him to use his fire and he didn’t even have to break himself! Talk-no-Jutsu reigns supreme!”
Jirou just shook her head, a smile on her face. “You’re a dumbass.”
Kaminari just shot her some finger guns. “Don’t I know it!”
“Good to hear,” Izuku laughed, “Though I have to ask, have you learned about sublimation yet?”
“Sublimat-?” Shoto was cut off as Izuku swung his hands forwards, white-hot flames around his left hand as dark ice built up on his right.
There was a burst of steam as the two met, spraying straight into Shoto’s face as he staggered back, gasping as the kick landed squarely on his chest. He staggered back some more, preparing to counterattack when Midnight yelled.
“Shoto Todoroki has stepped out of bounds! Izuku Midoriya wins!”
The viewers cheered, Eri included. She didn’t really understand what was going on, or why friends were fighting each other, but it was so much fun to watch! They were all so cool! And Dadku , Deku had won!
All Might puffed up for a moment, just long enough to yell in his much louder voice. “Excellent work my boy!”
For this, he was smacked in the leg by Nezu, who frowned at him. “I get that you are excited, yagi, but that is no excuse to jeopardise your health. What would Recovery Girl say if she saw you growing so flippantly? Maybe I should inform her…”
Yagi’s face paled. “No sir! I’ll stop! Please don’t tell her!”
“What?” the red- and white-haired teen muttered as he looked down at his foot, staring at his heel that was over the red line that circled the arena.
“Good fight,” Izuku laughed as he shook the last of the ice off his right hand, holding it out to Todoroki, “I look forward to our next match. Especially now that you’re going to start using your fire.”
“I…why?” Todoroki asked, staring at the other teen.
“Because,” Izuku shrugged, “You looked like you needed saving.”
Ochako smiled at that. Deku really had a one-track mind when it came to being a hero didn’t he? Save everyone, no matter the cost. It was one of the things she admired so much about him.
Not that that meant anything! Stupid Mina, making her think about feelings she had long pushed down!
Shoto stood, stunned by the words as the other teen waved to the crowd some more, before walking off his side of the arena. Shoto started as Midnight asked him to leave the field so they could prepare it for the next fight, the teen nodding as he stumbled away, still in shock at what had just happened.
Bakugo kicked the door to the waiting room open, muttering to himself as he stalked inside.
Kaminari laughed. “Bakugou seems angrier than usual. This should be good.”
Bakugou just huffed, crossing his arms. “Go fry yourself, sparky.”
“That fucking Deku,” the blond muttered, “Thinks he’s fucking better than me, does he? I’ll fucking show him!”
Eri jumped up onto her seat. “Bad words! Boomy’s saying more bad words!”
Bakugou growled at all of the glares sent his way because of that. “Shove off! I am not in control of what that other me says! It’s not my fu-freaking fault!”
“I’m right here, you know,” Izuku hummed from the table in the centre of the room, making Bakugo jump.
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY WAITING ROOM, YOU SHITNERD?!” Bakugo yelled.
Eri was about to jump up again when Ochako pulled her down and covered her ears. “Sorry Eri, but this will probably have lots of bad words. You know the drill.”
Eri pouted, but accepted, choosing to just watch in silence.
“Actually, you’re in mine,” Izuku replied, pointing to the still-open door.
Katsuki checked the number, his eyes going slightly wide as he saw that Izuku was right, “FUCK YOU!”
“That joke is old now, Kacchan,” Izuku sighed, “You need new material.”
“GO TO HELL!”
“That’s better,” the other teen said as he smiled, “Then I’ll say, “Been there, done that, couldn’t find the T-shirt stand.” It’ll be perfect.”
Momo hummed. “It’s odd to see Midoriya actively antagonising Bakugou. Our Midoriya seems like he would rather fight a Nomu then anger him.”
Logar chuckled. “Actually, this Midoriya has already fought a Nomu, so he’s well past fearing Bakugou.”
“I’LL KILL YOU BOTH!”
Logar shook his head. “No, you won’t. Now sit down and be quiet, you're giving me a headache.”
“FU-…GO-…” Bakugo cut himself off as he glared at the other teen, “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU PLANNING? TRYING TO FUCKING THROW ME OFF OR SOMETHING?”
“Nope, just messing with you,” Izuku said as he got up from his seat, “Now if you’d be so kind as to leave, I’d prefer my rest time to actually be restful.”
“FUCK THAT!” the blond snarled, “I know you! You’re planning something! You better not use my quirk!”
“Fine, I won’t,” Izuku shrugged, startling Bakugo with his attitude.
“Or the Dominatrix bitch’s quirk!” he growled, “You used it on High-class and the purple fuck, but you won’t on me!”
“Okay,” Izuku replied, smiling calmly at Bakugo, “In fact, you know what? I won’t use any quirks. I’ll fight you quirkless.”
Mina gasped. “Like I said before, balls of steel! He wants to go up against Bakugou Quirkless?”
Bakugou growled. “He knows that I’ll fight him Quirkless as well. Little shit’s manipulating the other me, and I’m to fucking angry to see it.”
Nezu spoke up. “An excellent self analysis, Bakugou! Maybe this is an issue that you yourself should strive to fix!”
Bakugou was smart enough to read between the lines. “yea, yea, whatever.”
“YOU’LL FUCKING WHAT?!”
“Fight you quirkless,” Izuku repeated, “I was already planning on letting you win, so I might as well fight you quirkless as well. It’ll be good practice if nothing else.”
“Quirkless? Practice?” Bakugo hissed, drawing his arm back to punch, “Letting me win? YOU’RE FUCKING LOOKING DOWN ON ME, DEKU!”
“Yeah, I am,” the words caught Bakugo off guard, stopping him mid-swing as he stepped towards the other teen, “I’m looking down on you, because I think…no, because I know that deep down, below all that bravado and shouting, you’re just a coward.”
Kaminari chuckled at that, hiding behind Shoji when Bakugou snarled at him, continuing to laugh.
Tsuyu croaked. “The Midoriya of that world is very good at antagonising people, kero.”
Ochako nodded, smiling. “Yea, but he’s also amazing at fighting! I hope we get to see him beat Bakugou!”
“SCREW YOU ROUND FACE! OTHER ME IS GONNA KICK DEKU’S ASS!”
Eri just glared at him, and he bristled. “Ass is not a bad word! It’s part of the human body! Stupid kid.”
“I AM NOT A FUCKING COWARD!”
“Then prove it,” Izuku said shoving the blond off him, “You know how.”
“Deku’s so freaking smug! He’s definitely got some trick up his stupid sleeve!”
“You’re just annoyed because you know that he’ll beat you!”
“SHUT UP!”
“FUCK YOU!” the blond growled, spinning on his heel, storming out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
“WHAT HE SAID!”
Izuku just gave a short sigh, before smiling to himself.
In the hall, Bakugo stared at the wall, panting heavily as he clenched and unclenched his fists.
“I’ll fucking show you, Deku,” the blond hissed, “You want to fight quirkless? I’ll show you fighting fucking quirkless!”
The screen shut off after that.
Ochako cried out at this. “Noooooo! I wanted to see them fight! Logar! Can we see them fight?!”
Logar shook his head. “Sadly, we cannot, at least not right now. I have reached my limit for that particular timeline for the moment. We will have to move on. Hopefully, we’ll find this one again at some point.”
Todoroki nodded. “A shame to be sure, I was rather invested in seeing the other Midoriya’s fighting style. It seems I have a lot to work on. Once again, Midoriya has opened my eyes to new possibilities.”
Nezu clapped his hands. “Alright! While that was quite an interesting timeline, I believe we should move onto the next one! What do you think, Logar?”
Logar nodded, waving his hands, creating a new colour on the screen. “I concur with you. Let us move onto the next timeline.”
The group cheered as the screen started to clear up again, the next universe starting to play.

Chapter Text
“Hey there Detective! How’s your night going?”
Tsukauchi smiled as he looked up towards the door to his office. Spotting the green-haired boy, he waved him inside and watched as the nine-year-old waddled to the chair.
The girls all smiled, as did some of the boys such as Kirishima, who spoke up. “He’s such a cute kid.”
“It’s good to see you again Midoriya! I’m assuming you’re here to help with the Ryosie kidnapping case?” He smiled again when the boy nodded.
The smiles faded as they all blinked at that, Inko blanched. “My son’s helping with a kidnapping case!? Why!?”
Aizawa paused. He knew that name. “Rysoie… Ryosie- Oh. Oh. ”
“Is something wrong sir?” Mirio asked and Aizawa shook his head, looking away with a subtle frown.
“It’s nothing.”
“Yes, sir! I also heard from the front desk that you hadn’t made any progress on the Romi or Ginko cases, is that true? Cause you know I would help you with that in a heartbeat sir!”
“Not that he should be. Why would the police department be using a nine-year-old?” Tooru frowned, even if no one could see it. “That’s super-duper irresponsible, isn’t it?”
“I must assume my friend has a reason.” All Might spoke up, getting some surprised glances in his direction. “Yes, I know detective Tsukauchi. He is a good friend of mine and if this version is anything like ours, he would not be using Midoriya unless he had a very good reason to.”
Tsukauchi sighed. “You know I don’t want you to overwork yourself Midoriya, you’re only nine years old, we shouldn’t have to rely on your Quirk to find the victims. Plus, I know the backlash you get from using it can be painful.”
“Whoo! Another point for quirked Midori.” Mina grins.
“One they need to use… A quirk they need to use, I must assume it’s an information quirk of some kind. That is about the only thing I can think of that they could not pass up despite his age.” Momo hummed, before frowning. “And just like our Izuku, it hurts him.”
“Dude can almost never catch a break, even when he does get a better hand in life.” Sero sighed. “Is it like a rule he needs to suffer a bit in the multiverse?”
“I really hope not…” Inko looked horrified at the thought.
Izuku scoffed. “You’re being a bit hypocritical, Mr. ‘I slept three hours in as many days’ . And don’t worry about the backlash, it doesn’t hurt as much as you think it does, I promise!”
<Lie>
Several people winced at that. Midnight frowned deeply. “He shouldn’t have to feel like he needs to lie to an authority figure about something like that.”
‘I’d normally call it reckless but the more lives we see of him…’ Aizawa’s eyes darted to Izuku and his frown deepened. Izuku Midoriya was more of an enigma then he’d ever realized and even as he was given answers he could have never expected to have, still there came just as many questions.
Tsukauchi sighed, knowing that he had already lost this argument and that even if he said no Izuku would just give them the info as an anonymous tip. Which would make it less credible, meaning there would be more paperwork involved. So he nodded.
“That does sound like Deku.” Ochaco smiled a small smile, resting a comforting hand on her best friend’s shoulder as the ‘vision’ went on. “Never able to rest when he knows there is someone he can help.”
“Just… can you make sure I don’t fall off the chair when I do this, please?” Tsukauchi nodded moving to sit next to the boy who in Tsukauchi’s mind, was already a hero to almost a hundred people.
That prompted more smiles. There Izuku was a hero to them for sure, so to see any other version succeed just reaffirmed to them they were lucky to have him as a friend, student or schoolmate. Or Inko’s case, son.
Bakugou was the only one who was annoyed with it, a part of him wondering how the nerd could keep succeeding. It flew in the face of everything Bakugou had once expected. Although he supposed he’d rather see the damn nerd succeed at being a hero then actually die. For all he may dislike Deku, actually seeing his death was way out of the zone of things Bakugou was okay with.
Izuku closed his eyes, and relaxed his body, falling back into Tsukauchi’s arms. When his eyes opened a second later, they had small blue lines running sideways, scrolling as if he was reading something.
“Woah! That looks so cool!”
Izuku seemed to snap back into reality, nodding at the detective. Tsukauchi went over to his computer as Izuku started listing facts.
“Obazu Ryosie is currently being held in a warehouse on the corner of fourth and seventh street, Mei prefecture, in a locked room. The code for the door is 24547. There are three people inside the warehouse.
Several eyes went wide.
“First is a man named Hatsu Jakuchu, Quirk: Naptime. It allows him to put anyone he comes into skin contact with to sleep for 30 seconds.”
They continued to widen at the quantity of information being given. Nezu put a paw to his chin in thought.
Tsukauchi nodded as he frantically typed this into his computer, he knew that after Izuku obtained this much information at once, he would probably be out of it for a while, so he had one shot at recording everything.
“So it isn’t a one shot either? He could theoretically do it over and over if it didn’t hurt?” All Might leaned back in his chair. “Well, that is….”
“Exceptionally overpowered in the right hands.” Aizawa finished, and this time he didn’t bother to hide his glance or even his small grin as he looked over Izuku.
“The second is a woman named Okino Jakuchu, Hatsu’s wife, Quirk: Fortification. Allows Okino to reinforce materials to have higher durability, flexibility, melting point, etc. Currently in use on the door to Obazu’s room, as well as the chain and handcuffs connecting Obazu to the cell wall.”
Tsukauchi continued typing, knowing what a fucking gift Izuku’s quirk was. He had never been wrong in the three years he had spent helping the police with cases such as these, so Tsukauchi had no reason to not trust the information.
“Three years? Does that mean… he’s been doing it almost since his quirk first manifested?!” Nejire looked slightly stunned as she asked that. “That can’t be good for the little cutie!”
Despite her concern for her alternate son, Inko couldn’t help the small smile at that description of him, especially coming from a girl. Sero chuckled suddenly. “Fortification sounds like if someone inverted Kirishima’s quirk. I wonder if there’s a universe where Midoriya can do that?”
“Invert people’s quirks?” Logar asked, and when Sero nodded, the man just smiled coyly and looked back to the vision.
“The third is Hatsu’s brother; Kado Jakuchu. Quirk: Lights Out. Allows him to put anyone in a five-meter radius to him to sleep for seven seconds. Currently armed with a knife and an M1911 handgun, loaded with seven .45 ACP rounds.”
“God I wish we had that for pro hero missions. It would have made so many so much easier.” Aizawa sighed wistfully.
“If you could get someone older obviously, for the job specifically, it could be an amazing defensive strategy. No better way to defend something then know exactly everything about who may be trying to cause problems. If his quirk can work that way that is…” Powerloader trailed off.
Tsukauchi typed in the last of the information, looking over at the boy, concerned, as Izuku slumped over in the chair, leaning on the armrest. He could see the boy’s arm twitch as the inevitable headache sprang into the boy’s mind.
Unconsciously Ochaco’s hand moved to their Izuku’s head, gently and kindly massaging it. No one noticed Izuku react quietly to the movement, as the vision wasn’t affected at all.
“You alright there Izuku? I can get Sansa to bring in some medicine if the headache is too bad.” Izuku just shook his head. “Please, don’t. I wouldn’t want to be a hassle for you Detective.”
“I’d never count helping Izuku as a hassle.” Kyoka hummed quietly. When she noticed a few people staring at her she shrugged. “What? Considering the amount of stuff he does for us, apparently in more than one universe, it’s like the least we can do.”
there was a general muttering of agreement from everyone else.
He sighed, helping the boy to his feet. “Fine. Just get home now alright? And don't use your Quirk for the rest of the night OK? I don't want you turning that headache into a migraine.”
Izuku just shook his head slowly “I won’t!” Tsukauchi’s Quirk didn’t register a lie, so he nodded to the boy.
“Well, at least this one has a tad more sense then ours.” Aizawa commented to lighten the mood, ignoring the small glare he got from Mrs. Midoriya as a result.
“And have fun at school tomorrow!”
“I will!”
<Lie>
“…Mon dieu. That boy needs a hug.” Aoyama shook his head quietly. He would not let a soul almost as dazzling as his be dulled, not if he could help it.
“Hey Deku, you got the answers for today’s test for me? These fucking chumps are willing to pay top dollar for this shit, so you better cough ‘em up! You know what happens if you don’t.”
“I will only say this once, Bakugou.” Aizawa started, throwing a side eye at the student. “If I found out you did anything similar at all on any of the tests you’ve had since coming here, I will personally rewrite and make you go through every test you’ve had in your life.”
No one dared call his bluff with the tone he had, nor did they dare call him out for his 180 on his stance of separating alternate universes from there’s.
Izuku was shoved up against the school wall, heat radiating from the hand next to his head. He briefly considered fighting back but knew he wasn’t ready yet.
“Yet? Like he could ever beat me.” Bakugou scoffed, completely unaware of the glares he was receiving, which only got more intense with his comment.
Bakugou Katsuki, Izuku’s main tormentor. He had seen enough information about psychology using his Quirk to know that trying to keep a friendly relationship with the boy would lead to nothing but pain.
More than one member of the Bakusquad began to shift uncomfortably. Mina especially found herself shifting further away from the boy. Even if he had changed… She really hoped this wasn’t one of those universal constant thingies, that would be present in there’s.
The thought of being friends with a bully, even a former one, made her stomach flip. Especially a bully to someone as sweet as Izuku.
He nodded his head sadly. “Yes Bakugou, I have them right here, just please put me down.” He held out the small stack of paper containing both the questions and answers for today’s pop quiz.
Bakugou scoffed as he slammed the boy back into the wall again. “And who said you could make any requests, Deku? You fucking stalker creep.”
“Person who uses quirk occasionally, probably out of self-defence, or boy who goes out his way to cheat, make threats and likely blows people up which could cause serious permanent damage. I wonder who the creep is there.” Tooru said in mock thoughtfulness.
“FUCK YOU!”
“KATSUKI BAKUGOU! THERE IS A CHILD PRESENT!” Inko scolded, looking torn between anger and tears, as said child glared with surprising fierceness at the blonde.
Izuku held in his groans of pain as best he could, utilising a technique he had learned from Shaolin monks memories to fight through the pain as he kept a grimace from his face.
“He trained with Shaolin monks?” Kaminari asked dumbfounded, making Kyoka roll her eyes.
“With his quirk, not literally, sparks for brains.”
“Oh!”
He couldn’t help but think that all of his problems at school stemmed from his Quirk. |Human Archive| was an extremely powerful mental Quirk, allowing Izuku to access any thoughts, memories or information ever held in a human’s brain.
“…..”
Their collective jaws dropped. Nezu’s eyes glinted, imagining the possibilities.
“That… That is insane…” Mina gaped, succinctly summarizing almost all their thoughts.
“I’d never have to ask another question again to learn about people!” Nejire’s eyes sparkled. Mei’s sparkled similarly.
“No more small-time creations, I could make Plus Ultra level babies with the combined knowledge of every brilliant engineer and scientist who ever lived!” The pink-haired girl cackled a tad madly at the thought.
He could see the daily thoughts of Adolf Hitler as he passed through the concentration camps of World War Two, he could see the thoughts of Albert Einstein as he figured out how to split the atom. And he could see all the memories of this one fanfic writer named Logar3.
All eyes turned to Logar who let out a small “Huh” before noticing their stares. “No relation, before you ask.”
Everyone decided it would be best to not dwell on the Adolf Hitler thing and the many, many disturbing implications raised by that.
He didn’t visit that guy’s memories very often.
Despite what he just said, Logar looked both relieved and insulted.
He would have thought that such an ability would have been something that the other kids at school would be excited about, but when it came time to reveal it, he got a very different reaction to what he expected...
“Any sensible person would see it is an outstanding and incredibly practical quirk, even if it’s not flashy. Perhaps you may not be the most flashy hero but you could certainly be one of the most effective.” Iida said while chopping his hand up and down violently. Present Mic frowned.
“Unfortunately little listen, Kids, aren’t usually sensible.”
“And you are?” Aizawa snorted. Present Mic looked betrayed.
“I heard Deku got his Quirk!”
“Yea he totally read my mind this morning! Guessed what number I was thinking and everything!”
“Isn’t it kind of creepy though? He can know what you’re thinking, if you're lying, or even your secrets!”
“I really doubt kids that age have any secrets actually worth hiding. Ribbit.” Tsuyu shook her head. “Maybe to them but still.”
“Alright, but could you imagine If you used it on someone and found out they knew about a murder or something?” Satou spoke up, shaking his head. “’Cause that would be scary.”
Upon seeing the dubious looks he got, he shrugged. “Weirder things have happened than a kid being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“Yea, that’s freaky! I bet he uses it to spy on people!”
“Yo Deku! Get your ass over here! You’re gonna read my mind and tell everyone what secret I’m thinking of!”
“You literally granted permission.” Momo deadpanned, even the calm and orderly girl beginning to feel frustration bubbling up at how unfairly biased they were to the boy.
“Are you sure Kachaan? I thought you didn’t want anyone knowing that!
“Ha, so the creepy fuck can read minds! That's a villain’s Quirk for sure! What good will that do you as a hero Deku? Now fuck off and stay away from me you stalker!”
“He shouldn’t know how to swear like that at that age,” Tamaki said quietly and others hummed and nodded in agreement, ignoring Bakugou’s scoff.
Inko frowned deeply at that and though she felt a bit guilty for thinking ill of the woman, she was quietly very relieved Izuku hadn’t been influenced by the few exposures he’d had to Mitsuki.
“What good can knowing literally everything someone could possibly ever know’ is like the dumbest question I’ve ever heard.” Nejire pouted with her arms crossed.
He sighed as he walked into class, spying Bakugou selling the answers to a kid for around seven hundred yen.
Aizawa actually facepalmed, groaning loudly.
He sat down at his desk and placed his chin on it, waiting for the teacher to arrive. It took him five minutes to get there and started the lesson.
Ten minutes later, he sprung the pop quiz on them, and Izuku could see both Bakugou and the boy who bought the answers off of him smirking.
Kaminari and Mina felt personally insulted. For all their faults, they had never legitimately cheated on their work. They put in the effort just as everyone else did even if they were either lazy or… uniquely bad at the work, and it meant a lot to them when they passed their theoretical tests.
So to see a ‘smart’ member of their class, Bakugou, so blatantly cheat and fail to try, made them feel like screaming and battering their heads against a wall. If Bakugou noticed the glares against him getting more intense yet again, he didn’t comment on it.
Izuku went through the quiz, putting the answers to the questions, just enough wrong to make the teacher unaware of his limited Quirk use. He had already memorised all of this information anyway, so he didn’t need to use |Human Archive| very much.
“I’m willing to bet he wouldn’t have to hide the quirk usage at all because it wouldn’t be there if someone didn’t force him to give up the answers.” Ochaco sent a sneaky side glare at the blonde.
He finished up his quiz and handed it to the teacher, before heading back to his desk. The rest of the class was fairly boring, allowing Izuku to analyse a new hero that had debuted today.
As he put the information down in his notebook, he made sure to at least make it look like he was listening to the teacher.
Whether it was for the sake of adding some levity or just the man being himself, no one was sure, but Aizawa glanced over at Mina and Kaminari and snorted. “You two don’t have that particular skill. And no, you can’t ask Midoriya to teach you.”
Everyone giggled as the two blushed at the sudden crack. Kyoka chuckled. “Would that not defeat the point, sir?”
“So does plugging one of your ear jacks into your phone and listening to music when you’re supposed to be listening to a lesson, Jirou.”
The purple-haired girl also went red and wisely kept quiet.
When class ended, he did a quick check to see if Bakugou was going to come after him but could see he was more focused about heading home, as he had a rare All Might figurine coming in the mail today.
Quickly running home, he grabbed the bottle of headache medicine that had become a near-daily part of his diet and made himself a sandwich to go with it.
Ochaco rubbed his head again as Momo sighed. “It is truly a shame that quirks can reach the point of needing genuine medicinal aid just to be used. And others forcing the usage of it… Someone might be held accountable if this Izuku was to ever develop some kind of mental trauma.”
They all frowned at the idea.
Swallowing the pill and eating the sandwich, he laid down on his bed and thought about the Ryosie case. He had given the police all the information they needed to rescue the woman, so he had his fingers crossed that everything went smoothly.
Pulling up his covers, he tried to ignore the oncoming migraine. He knew his doctor said that the pain would lessen during his teen years when his brain would start to mature enough to handle the influx of information when he used his Quirk, but he wished it would start earlier.
‘At least it will get easier on him.’ Momo thought with a bit of relief.
He whimpered slightly as a larger wave of pain hit him, before closing his eyes and drifting to sleep.
Ochaco frowned as she noticed Izuku wince in real life as well. She wasn’t sure if it was coincidence or not but either way she made a mental note to hug him when he eventually woke up. She wasn’t sure how much he physically experienced but she really hoped he hadn’t seen all the same things the other Izuku had.
“Tsukauchi? How did you get this much info on the kidnappers? The level of detail is insane.”
Tsukauchi looked up to the squad of heroes he was briefing, looking over towards the support for the raid, Eraserhead. He smiled at the man.
“So this is the case I was thinking of.” Eraserhead sighed. “At least it went well in one timeline…”
“Sir?” Mirio frowned.
“Don’t ask. You’re too young.”
“But-“
“Don’t,” Aizawa said firmly, with an air of finality. “It was not pretty and that is all I ever intend to say.”
“From a trusted consultant, their Quirk allows them to gain any info we might need for this mission.” He explained, shuffling the paper in his hands around.
A voice from his right, Death Arms, spoke up. “Are you sure this ‘consultant’ isn’t in on all this? Even with most Quirks I’ve heard of, this sort of thing is usually all guesswork.”
Kaminari suddenly started snickering. “Sorry, sorry… just the thought of a kid Izuku trying to be a supervillain is kinda hilarious, cause I’m just imagining him rubbing his tiny hands together and doing like the worst supervillain laugh ever.”
That got even more giggles and coo's, replacing the frowns that initially came from Death Arms assumption.
Tsukauchi just sighed. He knew that it was hard to believe, hell, when a six-year-old Izuku walked into the police station for the first time asking for him, he had a hard time believing it too, even with his Quirk.
All Might grinned. “Oh, how I’d have paid to see Tsukauchi’s face when that happened. I can just picture his reaction!”
“I can assure you that this consultant is 100% trustworthy, as I have been using the information given to me by this consultant for around three years now, and he has never once led the police force or the heroes astray.”
Eraserhead just shrugged. “Whatever. So you want me to cancel out the brother's Quirk’s while Kamui Woods secures them, and Death Arms secures the wife and retrieves the victim?”
Tsukauchi nodded. “Exactly. A small force of police officers will be joining you for this mission, so once the criminals have been neutralised, hand them over to them and they will take them away for you.”
‘Shame we can’t have those on hand all the time.’ Eraserhead thought. ‘Would make arrests so much faster.’
The heroes gathered nodded, knowing that this was going to be a quick strike. They hopped into the car with Tsukauchi and arrived at the warehouse a few minutes later.
One quick, flawless raid later, and all three of the kidnappers were unconscious in the back of a police van, with Quirk suppressant cuffs on them. Mrs Ryosie had been rescued and was currently being taken to a hospital for treatment.
“If only every mission could be so simple…” Midnight hummed, imagining how much easier her job would be. Present Mic rolled his eyes.
“Says the woman who already has one of the best quirks for making this job easy.”
Tsukauchi was thanking the Sergeant that had just led the police squad into the building for his work when Eraserhead appeared next to him. He dismissed the Sergeant and turned to the tired-looking man.
“What do you need Eraserhead? I’ve made sure that your name is kept out of the media brief, so you don’t need to worry about that.” Eraserhead just shook his head.
“Have you ever had to deal with your name getting out before, sir?” Ojiro wondered and the man nodded.
“Unfortunately, the media seem incapable of realizing the purpose of a pro hero is their identity not being public.” Aizawa sighed. “It has happened twice. Neither journalist will ever make the same mistake.”
No one was keen to ask him why he sounded so confident, especially with the creepy grin on his face.
“Thank you, but that's not what I wanted to say. The information we got was spot on, more accurate than any I’ve ever seen before about how their Quirks worked, where they were, etc.”
Tsukauchi quickly prepared another mental speech about how Izuku, or ‘the consultant’, could be trusted, but Eraserhead continued. “Have you thought about introducing the consultant to Nezu? I’m sure the rat is aware of your consultant’s existence already, and with the analytical abilities he shows, he could be a great asset to heroes all over the place.”
“Rat, Aizawa?” Nezu asked sweetly, but with a dangerous glint in his eyes. “I’ll have to talk to you about that.”
Aizawa audibly gulped.
Tsukauchi shook his head. “His quirk gives him some really bad headaches when used currently, as his brain hasn’t fully developed. I don’t want him to overdo things.”
Eraserhead’s eyebrows shot up. “Brain hasn’t fully developed… don't tell me that this consultant of yours is a child detective?”
“At least someone questioned it.” Momo hummed quietly.
Tsukauchi mentally smacked himself. That was confidential information, and even though he would trust Eraserhead with his life, he wasn’t really allowed to share Izuku’s age. But Eraserhead already knew now…
With a sigh, Tsukauchi nodded. “Yea, he’s been dropping by the precinct with the information he’s gotten using his quirk for about three years now. He’s currently nine-years-old.”
All Might blinked. He supposed this Tsukauchi was a tad more loose-lipped about secrets. Surely it wouldn’t be that way with One For All though, right?
…Maybe he should call the man after just to be safe.
Eraserhead’s eyes bulged for a second in surprise, before he turned around, pulling his phone out. “Excuse me for a moment detective.”
Tsukauchi nodded but listened in on Eraserhead’s conversation. “Yes, sir. You’re going to want to meet this kid. Yep, the consultant’s a kid. Yes sir, nine-years-old. You found him already? Of course you did sir. Yes, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“That was fast.” Ochaco blinked. Nezu chuckled.
“I doubt Midoriya was trying to hide. If he were, even I would not have found him all that quickly.”
Eraserhead sighed. “C’mon out detective. That was Nezu. He wants to meet your mystery consultant.”
Tsukauchi dragged his hand down his face. “I guess that's not the worst-case scenario. If anyone can figure out how to make him take care of himself properly it’s probably Nezu.”
“Ah, now, making mister Midoriya better with self-care… that is a mystery beyond my mind.” Nezu frowned and several people sighed. All the members of 1-A were frankly far too familiar with the sounds of Izuku breaking himself.
He nodded to Eraserhead. “Fine. I’ll bring up Nezu the next time I see him-”
“-Just be warned, even Nezu doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into with this kid.”
“Well that’s taking its place in my nightmares as the most terrifying sentence I’ve ever heard.” Aizawa groaned. Midnight grinned and leaned over to Powerloader.
“Imagine he was talking about Hatsume.”
“……Nope nope nopity nope nope nope!” Powerloader put his head in his hands. “Whatever gods there are please spare me.”
Everyone else giggled and smiled at the teacher’s antics, while others all chatted excitedly amongst themselves.
“I don’t know what those other kids were thinking, that’s one of the coolest quirks I’ve ever heard of!”
“I’d totally use it to find out the lottery numbers.”
“I wonder how it applies to combat?”
“Perhaps prediction, preparation and exploiting weaknesses? I mean he knows how to beat you as soon as he meets you if he uses his quirk.”
Nezu found himself quite disappointed he could not meet someone in this universe with such a quirk. Perhaps if he looked far enough….
Logar clapped his hands suddenly, bringing an end to the discussions. “Alright everyone, time for another universe.”
“Alright, I can’t wait to see another Izuku!” Nejire cheered, only for Logar to chuckle.
“I’m glad that the novelty of my Quirk hasn’t worn off on all of you yet! Although by its very nature I doubt that will ever happen...”
He fell silent and smiled at the screen as the next universe faded in.
