The cold rain fell, their soaking robes ,the fog started to cloud the area , as they entered the forest seeking for safety. They settled near a tree, the white robed cultivator leaned his companion on the tree, he carefully inspected the other one's stomach injury.

He started transferring spiritual energy in order for the wound to stop bleeding, he halted when he heard a wet laugh

"Why laugh?" the white robed man inquired.

"Great job everyone ! We'll stop at this scene and continue filming tomorrow. Someone please get some towels for Mr. Wei and Mr. Lan !" the director shouted.

The crew began to pack up, one of the staff approached the two actors with towels in hand.

"Ah, thank you for this", Mr. Wei thanked the staff, flashing a bright grin. Taking the towel and using it to dry himself.

The staff blushed when she saw his grin 'So handsome !'

"No problem Mr. Wei, Mr. Lan ! Please excuse me" She responded quickly and dashed out, leaving the two actors to their own business. 

Wei Wuxian turned to his co-star. Wriggling his eyebrows he asked, "So Lan-lăoshī, what do you think of my acting? Very convincing, wasn't it?"

Lan Wangji let out a huff, "Ridiculous." And walked out from his partner's line of sight.

"Aiyah Lan-laoshi! Stop avoiding me!", Wei Wuxian raised his voice to get Lan Wangji's attention. He pouted when Lan WangJi continued to ignore him.

He was startled when he felt someone nudged him at his back, making him let out a surprised yelp.

He turned around and was greeted by a familiar figure, "Wei Wuxian ! Stop bothering Lan Wangji. Go to the director, he's looking for you."

"Wen Qing ! Please stop scaring me, you're already scary enough..."Wei Wuxian trailed off realizing he just said something he wasn't supposed to.

Wen Qing is the manager of Wei WuXian. Who also happens to be Wei WuXian's bodyguard's elder sister, Wen Ning. Though they are both part of the Wen Family, they refused to work and be associated with The Wen Industry. And instead worked for the Yunmeng Jiang Entertainment as a gratitude to Wei WuXian's courageous yet dangerous act, which saved them from the dirty rumors encircling the Wen Industry.

Wen Qing quirked an eyebrow, "Hm ? What was that brat?" 

"Nothing! I'll go, I'll go" Feigning ignorance, he quickly ran away to the direction of the director.

Wei Wuxian, 24 years old. An actor, singer and model, and works under Yunmeng Jiang Entertainment, as a child he was trained by Yu Ziyuan . At the age of 14 he debuted with a minor role in the show 'The Nightless City'. And gained recognition for his role in the drama 'The Demonic Cultivator'. Now he's getting more attention as a lead actor in his new drama 'The Untamed' along with his co-actor Lan WangJi. 

Lan Wangji, 28 years old. An actor, composer and model. Is also know as the 'Second Jade of Lan', of the 'Twin Jades of Lan' alongside his brother Lan Xichen. He is signed under Gusu Lan Entertainment and started his acting career at the age of 10 with his role in the drama 'The 3000 rules in Life.' Which was directed by his uncle , Lan Qiren. Now he stars as the Male lead in the upcoming drama 'The Untamed with his co-actor and junior, Wei Wuxian.

The next day was of course another busy day for the two actors. One of their activities involved an interview they had to attend.

This interview was related to their upcoming drama 'The Untamed'. A Xianxia Chinese drama based on a novel that revolves around two cultivators who fight villains, solve a series of mysteries and uncover a dark.

Being the punctual person he was, Lan Wangji made sure that he would arrive on time for his activities today.

Following his strict and usual schedule. He woke up at five in the morning, ate early and did all the things he needed to do on time.

Getting ready he wore his usual colors, a white turtleneck sweater, a blue coat downed with buttons and pockets and a pair of black slacks. With that, he was ready to go.

Sometime in the afternoon, Lan Wangji arrives precisely on time for his interview. Entering the room he felt the cold air of the air conditioner touching his skin.

He greeted and bowed to the interviewer and in return, the interviewer did the same, "Welcome Mr. Lan, and thank you for accepting the interview"

Directing Lan Wangji to the couch he said, "Please have a seat. We're just waiting for Mr. Wei to come."

Sitting down Lan Wangji let out an annoyed sigh knowing that his partner hardly arrives on time,"Mn. Thank you."

Just as Lan Wangji expected his partner would arrive a few minutes later than him. And his predictions were correct, his partner indeed arrived a few minutes late.

Wei Wuxian wore a black turtleneck sweater accompanied by a red long-sleeve polo shirt and a pair of skinny jeans that tightly wrapped his legs.

Catching his breath, he bowed , "Hello I'm Wei Wuxian , I'm sorry for being late and thank you for inviting me." 

"It's fine Mr. Wei, you only arrived a few minutes late. Oh please take a seat"

As Wei Wuxian took the offer to take a seat next to his co-actor. Lan Wangji on the other hand noticed the slight limp his partner had while walking to his seat. Letting out a bemused sigh , he thought 'Clumsy as always'

A few minutes into the interview they were asked with all kinds of questions . It was either about their private life or business related. These types of questions were the ones that they were very used to handling.

The next question however was something they rarely encountered," Regarding your upcoming drama , 'The Untamed' , it's the first time that the two of you will be in the same drama, how do you feel about this? "

Wei Wuxian went first and honestly answered," Lan lăoshī is very talented, patient and kind. He always pardons me whenever I make a mistake, oh he also gives me advice to improve my acting. And I'm very happy and pleased to work with him." He blushed and gave a shy smile to Lan Wangji.

"Mn. I'm also happy to work with him. Wei laoshi's cheerfulness and brightness has captivated all of us in the cast and crew. Though this is our first drama together, we work very well and efficient together. As his senior I do my best to be a good role model for him" Lan Wangji answered back.

Though everything he said was true, he also used this chance to tease his partner, since he knew how easily flustered Wei WuXian can be when he showered him with a lot of praises. Feeling smug, he turned to Wei WuXian and gave him a small smirk.

Wei WuXian on the other hand, felt the heat growing to his cheeks and neck when he heard his senior's opinion. Seeing this only made Lan WangJi's smirk grow bigger.

When their eyes met, Wei WuXian immediately turned his head away, avoiding Lan WangJi's line of sight. He thought to himself 'Teasing me like this , hmpf...just wait and see Lan Wangji.'

Anticipating the next question they forgot their little teasing and stopped their train of thoughts to listen attentively.

"Hm...how about the 4 year age gap the two of you have , are you bothered by it ? Would you say that the two of you are close ?" the interviewer questioned . 

'Oh wow...that's a new one. Ehehe it's my turn for revenge Lan Wangji '

Wei Wuxian kept his inner thoughts to himself and grinned widely. " Oh the age gap? We aren't bothered by it at all. In fact we are VERY comfortable with each other. Lan lăoshī is very generous to me, he even bought me lunch and things I never knew I needed. Like they said Lan lăoshī is indeed a good influence and role model. He's very sweet and concerned, always asking me how I feel, and helping me out whenever needed. Oh, and he's also very tolerant to my teasing. Lan lăoshī may seem cold to others but that's not true at all, he's just slow to warm up with others"

He turned to Lan Wangji and saw his ears going red, this time it was his turn to feel smug , 'Ehehe Lan Zhan now what?'

"Is that true Mr.Lan?" The interviewer wondered .

Feeling slightly embarrassed Lan Wangji let out a sigh and only answered , "Mn"

After what seems to be hours of countless questions their interview finally came to an end.

"Thank you very much for attending this interview." The interview bowed and left.

Wei Wuxian slumped back to his seat and let out a heavy sigh, just in time Wen Qing's voice came in , snapping him out of his tired state "Wei Wuxian get up, you still have a photo shoot." 

"Ugh, Wen Qing can't we reschedule that ? I'm so tired, can't we rest ?" Wei Wuxian pouted and pleaded for Wen Qing to give him some time off.

"You can rest on the way. Now hurry up." Wen Qing urged him.

"Mr. Lan please excuse us ." She bowed and went ahead.

"Fine...bye Lan Zhan " He got up from his seat and waved goodbye to him.

Limping a bit while catching up to his manager. "After sitting for about 2 hours you're still limping, did you fall or something earlier? "Wen Qing eyed him suspiciously.

Wei Wuxian's face flushed and his only answer to Wen Qing's question was a nod which was neither a yes or no.

From a far Lan Wangji could hear their conversation, he suppressed the urge laugh and instead chuckled, always finding it amusing how easily Wei Wuxian can blush and be embarrassed. 

"Ha...what a tiring day " Wei Wuxian muttered to himself, reaching for his lower back and begun massaging it ," Ugh my back still hurts"

While going down the hall to reach his unit. Using his keys he unlocked the door, turned on the lights and took off his shoes.

Before reaching the living he shouted, "I'm home !"

Hearing no response, he went straight to the kitchen to fetch a drink. After downing his drink, he gasped when he felt strong arms encircling his waist and soft lips scattering small kisses on his neck.

A deep, familiar, and soothing voice that never failed to send chills down to his spine, greeted him, "Welcome home, Xīn'ài."

When Wei Wuxian turned around his lips were seized by a pair of hungry lips which took him by surprise. The man seized this opportunity to slip his tongue in, kissing Wei Wuxian senseless. Wei Wuxian stopped tracing circles on his chest and hummed, "Hm ?"

Instead of getting an answer, they're positions were changed as Lan Wangji pinned him on the bed and tied a strip of cloth over his eyes.

Deprived of his sense of sight, the only thing he noticed was the rustle of a drawer and felt something being placed on the bed. A few moments later, Lan Wangji bought them into a seating position and slowly untied the cloth covering his eyes.

Blinking, he saw Lan Wangji looking at him seriously, " Lan Zhan?", he whispered in a small voice.

Lan Wangji inhaled and breathed out, "Wei Ying, let's make it real. Let's get married."

Wei WuXian gasped. He knew that his boyfriend rarely made jokes but this time he looked too serious for that.

Not knowing how to respond he just kept silent and let Lan Wangji continue, " Wei Ying, I have loved you ever since you approached me and teased me. You make me smile, feel warm and satisfied when you're with me. I love you so much that I want to spend the rest of my life with you ."

Hearing his sudden declaration, tears flowed down Wei Wuxian's cheek.

"It has to be you, it cannot be anyone but you. " Lan Wangji said with full determination while caressing Wei Wuxian's cheek, and wiping his tears.

He drew back his hand, reached for something behind him. He opened the small box revealing a stunning gold lotus ring with an opal gem embedded inside. "Wei Ying, will you take me as your husband?"

Wei Wuxian kept sobbing, he was speechless, feeling overwhelmed. He just kept nodding his head while saying 'yes', in the next moment he threw himself in Lan Wangji's arms.

Lan Wangji then led them into a sweet long kiss. Lan Wangji pulled away from the kiss and in the sweetest voice he could muster he said, "Happy Anniversary A-Ying" 

Wei Wuxian looked at the clock and realized what day it was, he also realized that his boyfriend—now fiancé—proposed to him on the day they got together 6 years ago.

More tears spilled from his eyes, he melted into Lan Wangji's touch and gave him the sweetest and brightest smile, "Happy Anniversary A-Zhan"

"Ah, Lan Zhan you truly surprised me. I didn't expect this to happen so fast," Wei Wuxian smiled warmly, pressing a kiss on the side of Lan Wangji's lips.

Returning the smile Lan Wangji just hummed,"Mn."

"Rest now Wei Ying, we still need to pick up A-Yuan tomorrow." Lan Wangji kissed Wei Wuxian on the lips one last time.

"Hmm okay Husband-to-be. Good Night, love you."

Lulling his beloved with their song, he brought him tighter to his chest and whispered. "Goodnight Wei Ying , I love you"

Reaching their destination , they went out of the car and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later an elderly person came to open the door, " Wuxian ! Wangji !" the elderly woman hugged them. And welcomed them into her house.

"Hello Granny! Did you miss us?", Wei Wuxian returned the hug.

While Lan Wangji greeted respectful and bowed, "Good afternoon Granny"

"Aiyah Wangji no need to bow, we're family it's fine. And of course I missed you two. Now come inside and take a sit"

"Granny are the others not here?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"Ah they just went buy something. They'll be back soon. Oh A-Qing and A-Ning will be visiting soon as well. Wait here for a while, I'll got get A-Yuan"

A moment later they could hear the little steps of a child slowly running to them.

"Baba ! A-die !"

"A-Yuan!", Wei WuXian excitedly picked up their child and placed him in his arms, pressing kisses on the child's nose and forehead.

"Mn!", A-Yuan replied, imitating what his A-Die would say.

"A-Yuan," Lan WangJi came into the scene holding two stuffed rabbits as a gift for A-Yuan.

"A-Yuan, here your A-die and I bought this for you cause we've heard that you've been such a good boy to your granny." 

"Waaah !!! Thank you A-Die " , A-Yuan happily said as he reached towards the gift.

"A-Yuan why don't you say thank you to me as well, huh?"

"Ehh, but A-Die was the one who bought this because Baba is poor" The child explained innocently.

"Lan Zhaaan how can your son do this to me, huh ? After I carried him in my womb for 9 months, he's betraying me like this '' Wei Wuxian dramatically said , letting out a fake cry, reaching to wipe his 'tears'.

Lan Wangji sighed and teased, "A-Yuan be good to your mother "

"Yes, that's right A-Yuan be good to your-" He cut off his sentence when he realized what his fiancé just said. "Lan Zhan ! Don't tease me like that!" 

"I'm sorry mama. "A-Yuan answered. Not handling the teasing he received from his son and fiancé. Wei Wuxian kept silent and buried his red face on A-Yuan's neck.

"Thank you for letting A-Yuan visit us and next time you can spend more time here, whenever you two want to." She offered.

"Wuxian, Wangji here take these." Uncle Four gestured, giving them a basket of fruits.

"Thank you Uncle Four, Granny. Please take care." 

"Take care as well" Granny Wen and Uncle Four exchanged , smiling while waving goodbye to them.

"A-Yuan we have a surprise for you! " Wei Wuxian declared, getting inside the car and settling A-Yuan on his lap as he strapped his seatbelt.

A-Yuan's eyes rounded, wondering what the surprise will be. 

"Your A-Die is going to marry your Baba!"

A-Yuan looked confused and innocently asked, "But aren't A-Die and Baba married already?" 

"Oh baby not yet, but we will be soon !" Wei Wuxian giggled, feeling amused how innocent their child was. 

"Mn, we will marry soon and be a real family." Lan Wangji kissed their son's head and sat on the driver's seat.

Wei Wuxian turned to Lan Wangji, "Lan Zhan, let's go home ?"

"Mn, let's go home.", Lan Wangji started the car and kissed Wei Wuxian's knuckles.

They already had a destination in mind and it was their home.

"Wei Ying hurry up!"

"Coming!" The youth answered back. After downing his drink, he slipped his bag over his shoulder, grabbed his phone and headed straight to the gate.

Before going out, he waved goodbye and shouted, "Bye shijie!" 

"Goodbye A-Ying, A-Cheng take care and good luck!" Jiang Yanli waved back.

As soon as they arrived at their destination the two young boys got out of the car and entered the campus gates.

The Cloud Recesses Acting Academy, ran by the famous Qingheng-Jun, who is also the president of Gusu Lan Entertainment. The academy is for those who aspire to be great actors just like their seniors, it is also opened to professional actors who want to have more training and experience in the field of acting.

Though Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng haven't finished their academic years . They were sent here so that they'll have more knowledge and experience on acting even if they've already gone through Madam Yu's training since they were kids.

"If you wake up late again next time, I definitely won't wait for you" Jiang Cheng scowled.

"A-Cheng you wouldn't really do that will you?" Wei Ying pouted with big 'teary' eyes.

"Shut up just make sure to be on your best behavior or else I'll tell Uncle Wei and Aunt Cangse.” Jiang Cheng reminded him, though he usually used a sharp tone, he deeply cared for Wei Ying even though he won't admit it.

Since their parents were close friends, the three of them practically grew up together. Their closeness was also the result of the often stay Wei Ying with Jiangs due to the busy schedule his parents had.

"Of course I'll be on my best behavior Jiang Cheng, do you doubt me that much? plus you can't bother my parents they're very busy" Wei Ying teased, nudging his best friend's shoulder.

Jiang Cheng just rolled his eyes and shook his head, as he walked faster than Wei Ying, leaving him behind.

Since they still had some spare time. They decided to explore and stroll around the campus a bit more. While Enjoying the beautiful and peaceful surroundings The Cloud Recesses had. It's not that Lotus Pier isn't as beautiful and peaceful Cloud Recesses is, it's just that it had a different aura. Lotus Pier was just a bit more bustling and lively. In contrast Cloud Recesses was more quiet and tranquil.

Just in time a young boyish voice called out to them, "Wei-Xiong, Jiang-Xiong"

Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng turned to the direction where the voice was calling them and saw someone familiar approach them. When the said young man in brown clothes was before them.

Wei Ying was the first to ask" Huaisang? What are you doing here? I thought you weren't going to attend anymore. What happened to your plans on becoming a director?" 

"Aiyah Wei-Xiong of course I still want to be a director, da-ge just forced me to go because he said that by experiencing this, it would help me in becoming a director and that he'll break my legs if I don't attend " Nie Huisang fanned himself, slumping his shoulders.

Yes, at first he didn't really want to be here but now that he found out that two of his friends were attending maybe it wasn't so bad as he imagined it would be.

"Oh right, Wei-Xiong here's a piece of advice, they said that this place isn't tolerant. Now that we're here at Cloud Recesses you have to make sure not to mess with this man" Nie Huaisang informed them , while they kept walking around the building finding the right room where they'll be attending their classes.

Halting his steps Wei Ying asked him, "Who? Lan Qiren?"

"Before yes, but this time since his nephews will be guiding us, you have to be aware of Lan Wangji one of the Lan brothers" Nie Huaisang reminded him.

"Lan Wangji ? Lan Zhan ?" Wei Ying quirked an eyebrow. 

"Is there any Lan Wangji here other than him? And show some respect he's older than you " Jiang Cheng grumbled.

"Of course I know Jiang Cheng! I just didn't think Lan Qianbei would be the strict type." Wei Ying shrugged. 

After wandering around they finally found the correct room where they'll have their classes.

Wei Ying read the name of the room out loud and slid the door open, "The Orchid Room... nice name."

Stepping inside they could feel the breezy air of the room, they were amused how this room had the same calm and peaceful aura just like the whole building had.

Nie Huaisang and Jiang Cheng went to one of the seats to put their bags down.

Wei Ying, on the other hand wanted to explore the different equipment and things the room had, however just as he was about to take a step forward he collided with something tall and warm. The impact would've made him fall on his back if it wasn't for the strong arms holding his waist. Sandalwood filled his sense of smell.

And he heard a low and mature voice speaking to him, "Apologies, are you alright?" 

Wei Ying looked up to see his saviour's face. And when he did, he saw a very handsome and serene face staring at him. Realizing who was in front of him, Wei Ying's brain short circuits and he screams internally , Wo de tian! This person is Lan Wangji . THE LAN WANGJI! His senior! His teacher! And the person he looked up to!

"Ye-yes! I'm alright! Thank you Lan-Qianbei!" 

"Mn. No problem" Lan Wangji answered back.

Feeling a bit awkward and embarrassed, Wei Ying bowed and turned away to excuse himself. Just in time Lan Wangji's hand caught hold of wrist, preventing him from leaving, "Wait...you..."

"Uh yes?" 

"What's your name?"

"O-oh! Where are my manners? I'm Wei Ying ! It's actually my first time here and I'm here to have more experience in acting. So... Lan Qianbei please take care of me!" Wei Ying said with a wide grin on his face.

"Mn... then Wei Ying please meet me after class at the Library Pavilion." With that Lan Wangji left, leaving Wei Ying in a confused state.

His two friends who witnessed the whole situation on the side, came running to him and began to ask a lot of questions. 

" Wo de tian! Was that Lan Wangji? " Nie Huaisang gasped.

"Uh yeah " Wei Ying nodded and answered unconsciously, still staring at the direction where Lan Wangji left.

"So what did he say to you?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"He told me to he was sorry and that —"

"–And that he wanted me to come to the Library Pavilion to copy the rules ! " At this point Wei Ying was so enraged that he puffed and kept pacing back and forth of his steps with his hands on his hips.

After a tiring day Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng invited Nie Huaisang to their house to play some games. Right now they were inside Wei Ying's room, munching on some snacks while they listened to Wei Ying's rambling.

"I thought he wanted to give me some private lessons but no he wanted me to copy those stupid rules!" 

"Hmpf why would he give you private lessons in the first place huh ?" Jiang Cheng questioned him.

"Well... maybe he saw the potential in me !" Wei Ying defended with a hand on his chest.

"Wei-Xiong so you did break a rule?" 

"Huh? Yeah... but that's not important! What's important is that he fooled me!" 

Nie Huaisang sighed and closed his fan, "Wei-Xiong he never fooled you in the first place, he didn't even tell you beforehand why he wanted you to go there. Plus I did tell you he's very strict when it comes to rules."

"Hmpf...fine he didn't fool me...but still who needs to copy all those rules huh?!" Wei Ying crossed his arms over his chest and admitted defeat yet still protested loudly.

Jiang Cheng gave him a curious look and questioned, "How did he know you broke some rules? You were with me the whole day" 

"Apparently he was the guy who caught me sneaking inside the campus after school hours."

"Huh? When did that happen Wei-Xiong and how come you haven't told us?"

Wei Ying sat down on the floor and did what Nie Huaisang requested, "Fine fine I'll tell you the whole story Anyway it happened on the first day of orientation..."

It was already late —but not that late, it was a little past 6pm—when Wei Ying came back to the academy to fetch one of his things which he left. He had no trouble coming (sneaking) inside the academy, in fact he was about to leave when he was caught by someone.

A young handsome man in white clothes appeared. The moonlight accentuated his sharp, elegant and handsome features. He spoke in a cold and flat tone,"You are not allowed in until 7 am tomorrow. Get out" 

"Aww gege don't be that harsh, I just forgot something and came to retrieve, anyway I'm on my way out already. So how about I'll give you some Emperor's smile, if you put on a smile" Wei Ying offered his plastic bag which he was holding in his hand and grinned widely.

"Coming inside after school hours is prohibited. You will come with me and receive punishment tomorrow."

"That is if you catch me. Oh look my ride's here, goodbye gege and don't frown too much it'll ruin your pretty face."

With that Wei Ying sprinted off and climbed over the gates. Before leaving he looked at the man one last time, he threw him a wink and waved goodbye one last time.

"And that's it. The end" Wei Ying ended his story, took a sip from his soda and began fiddling with his phone, checking his social media.

Jiang Cheng gave him a judging look and asked, "How on earth did you not know it was Lan Wangji? Are you that stupid?"

"A-Cheng I'm so hurt ! Why would you call your poor gege stupid ?!"

"Just answer the question idiot!"

"Fine, I didn't know it was him because it was dark and I was in a hurry. I didn't have time knowing who he was. "

"You didn't have time knowing who he was, yet you had time to flirt with him ? " 

Wei Ying turned bright red and objected, "I did not!"

"You're so lucky Wei-Xiong, you got to interact with Lan-Qianbei multiple times !"

Wei Ying's gaze returned to his phone and frowned slightly, "What's so lucky about that? Aside from his good acting, he's just a strict and boring person"

"Aiya Wei-Xiong I'm sure Lan-Qianbei isn't that boring and cold, he's probably like that because you two aren't close yet. And when you are, I'm sure you'll regret saying that."

"Yeah, yeah whatever."

"Wei-Xiong be careful, I can sense you two will meet a lot."

"Yeah sure, now can we play?"

True to Nie Huaisang's words they did in fact meet a lot during his stay in Cloud Recesses and even in the succeeding years to come.

True to Nie Huaisang's words the two did in fact meet a lot.

After Wei Ying's punishment for entering the academy after school hours. (read: trespassing) He unexpectedly caused quite a lot of trouble at Cloud Recesses. Which led him to at least 3 months of copying the rules and staying at the Library Pavilion with Lan Wangji, who made sure he did and finished his task.

Wei Ying found his entire 3 months boring, which is why he decided to bother the second jade of Lan quite often. He tried all kinds of antics to get Lan Wangji's attention, from calling his name several times, in different tones and manners to trying out different tricks on him. Lan Wangji may have thought of him as an annoying person at first but in the end they managed to build a stable friendship between them.

Time came when Wei Ying was about to graduate from his stay at Cloud Recesses. He didn't know if he'd ever have the chance to meet Lan Wangji this casual again. So he sneaked inside the Library Pavilion, anticipating that his senior would be there. And he was correct, Lan Wangji was there as usual reading a book by the window. Wei Ying approached him with a bright smile and greeted "Lan Qianbei!"

"Mn, Wei Ying", Lan Wangji closed his book and replied with a slight hint of fondness in his tone.

"Wei Ying, what are you doing here? You're already done copying the rules", Lan Wangji asked. He didn't expect for Wei Ying to come here again, though he really wanted to see the latter and spend more time with him.

"Lan Qianbeeeiii how cruel, you're saying I can't come here whenever I want to?", Wei Ying pouted while leaning on the table

"Wei Ying that's not what I-" He was cut off with Wei Ying's playful laughter. His ears burned red, thinking this was another one of the younger's tricks.

"Ahahaha Lan Er-gege look at your face right now, you look so funny. I was just teasing you, anyway I came here to give you this." He smirked and placed a white box that had multiple holes on it.

"This is?" Lan Wangji eyed the white box curiously

"Go ahead and take a look for yourself," Wei Ying gestured.

Lan Wangji opened the box and gasped when he saw two fluffy small animals looking back at him. They were a pair, one was a black rabbit with specks of white on his tail, paws and end of his ear and red eyes. The other was a white rabbit with fur as pure as snow and dark brown eyes.

Wei Ying picked the white rabbit up, petted his head and nuzzled him on the nose. He smiled at the rabbit then to Lan Wangji, "Quite cute aren't they? I found them a few days ago at a playground and since I'll be going soon I'd figured I'll give you them as a parting gift!"

In a small voice Lan Wangji muttered "Animals are forbidden in Cloud Recesses..." thinking that Wei Ying wouldn't hear him. Well he was wrong because Wei Ying did hear him.

Wei Ying looked at him and made a sad pouting face, "Are you saying you won't accept them? If not I can always give them to someone else"

"Wait who are you giving it to?", Lan Wangji hastily asked

"I don't know...I have a lot of friends who might want them. Maybe Wen Ning?"

Lan Wangji spoke one word at a time, "Give.them.to.me" He felt something growing in him when he heard that the younger one would give the rabbits away to someone else than him.

"Ehehehe I knew you wouldn't resist them~"

"Here, they're yours anyway", Wei Ying gestured as he brought the bunnies closer to Lan Wangji.

Lan Wangji sighed in relief and made a small smile, "Mn, thank you Wei Ying"

"Lan Er-gege! Is that a smile I see?", Wei Ying asks, finding it amusing to see his senior smile for the first time.

Lan Wangji's ears burned a bright red color, he turned his head away, "Ridiculous"

Wei Ying laughed loudly. He got up from his seat and waved goodbye to his senior, "Anyway Lan Qianbei I'm glad you like. I'll be going now, see you next time!"

Watching Wei Ying leaving, Lan Wangji placed the black rabbit on his lap, caressing the rabbit's fur, he murmured, "See you next time Wei Ying"

The next time two met, they were attending Jin's family banquet. Lan Wangji spotted Wei Ying who was wearing a black and red tux, a contrast to what he was wearing. He went outside and approached Wei Ying, who was leaning on the railings of the balcony. 

"Wei Ying", Lan Wangji says with a deep voice, his posture straight, emitting a very mature and elegant aura.

Hearing the voice coming behind him, he turned around, "Lan Qianbei?"

"Mn. Why are you here staying here instead of staying inside?", Lan Wangji asks while approaching the younger one and stopping by his side.

"It's too noise in there"

"Wei Ying dislikes the noise?", Lan Wangji asks, making a weird face and finding it hard to believe that the youth dislikes the noise inside the venue.

"It's not that—Lan Qianbei! How could you! I know I may be noisy but sometimes I enjoy the silence too!"

Satisfied with his teasing, Lan Wangji smirked and just hummed, "Mn"

Wei Ying looked down and sighed, "Ugh it's also full of Jins in there. And well..."

He kept looking at the view below the balcony and continued, "You see there's a new drama that will be airing soon and they decided to cast me as one of the side characters" 

"That's great news, Congratulations Wei Ying" 

"Thanks Lan Qianbei", Wei Ying thanks him with a strained smile.

Wei Ying's strained smile caught Lan Wangji's attention, feeling that something was wrong he decided to ask, "Are you not happy about it?"

"No no, I am happy... it's just that... I don't know if I'll do well" Wei Ying confessed shyly.

"You will do well, I believe in you"

"But what if I-" He didn't get to finish his sentence due to the finger shushing him

"Shh Wei Ying, it isn't like you to be like this"

"If you are comfortable, I can mentor you again"

"Really? You'll do that Lan Qianbei?" His eyes sparkled in excitement.

"Mn, anything for you", Lan Wangji assured him.

"Waah thank you Lan Qianbei!" He exclaimed, hugging his senior

Realizing his mistake Wei Ying immediately let go of him and apologized, "O-oh right you don't like it when others touch you. Sorry" 

Lan Wangji shook his head, "It is alright if it's Wei Ying" His ears turned red again, but thankfully the darkness of the night was able to conceal it. He then awkwardly pulled Wei Ying back into a hug.

Wei Ying was shocked when he was suddenly embraced. He felt so small in Lan Wangji's arms and yet the sandalwood scent made him feel warm and safe. Not knowing how to respond he just wrapped his arms around Lan Wangji's back and buried his blushing face on the broad chest in front of him.

That night neither of them pulled away, until they felt like it.

Time passed and unexpectedly their relationship progressed gradually. They exchanged numbers, using it to contact each other often. If they weren't having another acting session, they would be seen spending the day with each other.

It happened when Wei Ying was 18, it was his graduation day today and his original plan was to spend the whole day with his family but yesterday Lan Wangji asked him if he wanted to celebrate his graduation with him and of course he said yes. 

So he split his day into 2, in the morning after graduation till the afternoon he would celebrate with his family. While for the rest of the day he would spend it with Lan Wangji.

Jiang Cheng even teased him, saying that he'd rather go on a date with Lan Wangji than stay with his family. He just shrugged, saying that Lan Wangji only wanted to celebrate with him. 

Around 4pm Wei Ying waited patiently for Lan Wangji to pick him up from his house. He dressed in his usual casual clothes and colors. 

Seeing him like this Jiang Cheng couldn't help but make fun of him, "Look at him, waiting patiently for his boyfriend to pick him up"

"Jiang Cheng!"

"What it’s true, isn’t it?"

"Shijie Jiang Cheng is making fun of me!"

"A-Cheng, stop teasing A-Ying. He's just nervous for his date" Jiang Yanli covered her face and laughed.

"Not you too," Wei Ying grumbuled.

The doorbell rang and he ran hurriedly to the front door. Before opening the door he checked if he looked alright, fixing his hair he took a deep breath and released. He put on a big smile and opened the door, "Lan Qianbei!"

"Wei Ying", Lan Wangji greeted. Like Wei Ying, he too wore his usual get up and colors. 

"Lan Qianbei—" He felt the presence of two people standing behind him and was interrupted by a playful female voice.

"Oh Wangji, it's nice to see you", Cangse Sanren smiled pleasantly.

"Likewise Aunt, Uncle", Lan Wangji bowed politely.

Cangse Sanren waved her hand and teased, "Wangji no need to call us that. Call us Mama and Papa"

"A-Niang!" Wei Ying protested with a flustered face. He, himself, is shameless but his mother is more shameless than him.

"A-Ren" Wei Changze reprimanded her.

"Hahahaha darling, why the serious face?"

Wei Changze sighed and turned to Lan Wangji, "Forgive her Wangji"

"But seriously you can call us that Wangji," Cangse Sanren said again and added a wink.

Lan Wangji, on the other hand, felt embarrassed and just nodded.

"Well go along now enjoy your day."  Cangse Sanren chuckled.

"Wangji, please take care of A-Ying", Wei Changze stated protectively.

Lan Wangji nodded, as they bid goodbye to them. He guided Wei Ying to the car and was about to follow when he was halted by Jiang Cheng's voice.

"Break his heart, I'll break your legs", Jiang Cheng threatened him.

"No need, I'll harm myself first before I'll hurt him" He assured and bid goodbye.

Satisfied with his answer, Jiang Cheng let him go. Lan Wangji entered the driver's seat and gave a bouquet of peony flowers, "For you, congratulations on graduating" he offered to Wei Ying.

"O-oh thank you Lan Qianbei" He placed the peonies on his lap and smiled shyly to Lan Wangji.

"Where are we going today?"

Lan Wangji started the car and smirked, "You'll see"

Turns out Lan Wangji planned to bring him to all his favorite places, he even bought him his favorite food. Letting Wei Ying to drag him all throughout the day. Their last destination for the day was the Cloud Recesses Academy.

It was nearing sunset when they arrived. Parking the car out of the campus, Lan Wangji got out of the car first and opened the door for Wei Ying.

Stepping out of the car Wei Ying excitedly said, "Wow...I haven't been here for a while"

He looked at Lan Wangji and inquired, "What are we doing here Lan Qianbei?" 

Lan Wangji didn't respond, he reached for his pocket and used the keys that were there to unlock the gates. He then motioned for Wei Ying to go inside the campus.

They spent their time, walking in the corridors, talking and reminiscing the memories they created within the campus. The last place Lan Wangji wished to visit was the Library Pavilion.

They climbed the stairs leading to the Library Pavilion. Arriving there, Lan Wangji opened the door for Wei Ying. When the door opened Wei Ying felt his memories rushing to him, It still had the same plain white corridors, the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful view by the window. He was reminded of the time when he started to copy the rules to when he gave Lan Wangji the pair of rabbits as a farewell gift.

He thought about it and realized this was the place where their friendship began. This must be why Lan Wangji brought him here but the question was what would Lan Wangji achieve by bring him here.

He was brought back to reality when Lan Wangji called to him, "Wei Ying come here"

He followed him obediently. Walking to where he was gestured to.

Lan Wangji then gave him a long thin black and red box, "Here, my second to the last graduation gift for you"

He took the box, unwrapped the ribbon and removed the lid. He was stunned when he saw what was inside it. Taking the gift outside of the case, it revealed to be a jet black dizi with a red tassel hanging on the end.

With big and unbelieving eyes he gazed up to his senior, silently asking if this was for real.

Lan Wangji, "Since Wei Ying always wanted a dizi, I bought it for him. And now we can play many duets together"

He placed the dizi down, sighed happily and threw himself in Lan Wangji's arms. He tiptoed wrapping his long slender arms around the other man's neck and whispered, "Oh Lan Qianbei...Thank you! Thank you!"

Lan Wangji gladly welcomed the hug, reciprocating it by pulling Wei Ying tighter by the waist

A minute or so passed and they eventually pulled backed from the hug, but not so far. They were still in each other's arms when both of them decided to break the silence.

"Wei Ying I have something to tell you—"

"Lan Qianbei I want to tell you something—"

Lan Wangji, "You may go first—"

Wei Ying, "Lan Qianbei you go first—"

Wei Ying continued, "Lan Qianbei you're older than me, you may go first"

Lan Wangji took a deep breath and sighed. He's been practicing this moment for a long time, he's also been practicing what to feel after he hears the answer. He gathered all the confidence he has inside, looked seriously yet softly at Wei Ying and blurted the words he's been meaning to say for years.

"Wei Ying I like you, I love you, will you go out with me?"

Time stopped for Wei Ying, he didn't know if what he heard was real or a hoax. He might be(really is) oblivious but he knows what these words mean. He didn't even let Lan Wangji continue and snuggled tighter into the pair of arms around him.

He caressed Lan Wangji's cheeks looking fondly at him and responded, "You're really great I like you, want you, fancy you, whatever you, I love you"

Hearing this, Lan Wangji brought him closer and repeated his words.

Lan Wangji, "Like you..."

Wei Ying, "Yes!"

Lan Wangji, "Fancy you...want you...whatever you..."

Wei Ying kept nodding his head, "Yes! Yes!"

"Wei Ying..."

"Lan Qianbei..."

Lan Wangji shook his head, "Call me Lan Zhan"

"La- Lan Zhan"

"Mn, again"

"Lan Zhan Lan Zhan Lan Zhan" He kept saying his name in a mantra.

Lan Wangji, "Wei Ying Wei Ying Wei Ying"

Wei Ying, "Lan Zhan?"

Lan Wangji hummed in response, stroking the latter's fluffy hair

"Lan Zhan what's your last gift?" Wei Ying wondered 

Lan Wangji blinked then smiled, "This"

He bent down and surged forward, catching Wei Ying's plump pink lips with his own.

Wei Ying gasped upon this and thus Lan Wangji used this chance to deepen the kiss, slipping his tongue inside the hot cavern of his beloved and eliciting a low moan from Wei Ying.

Lan Wangji carried Wei Ying and placed him on top of the table without breaking the kiss. They continued kissing, basking in the warmth of the setting sun. In this moment nothing else mattered other than one another.

After their little make out session, the two laid down on the floor, staying in each other's arms, feeling content and safe, till the sky was painted in pink and orange hues and the hour of night slowly approached. 

"Lan Zhan?"

"Mn?"

"Lan Zhan thank you"

"No need for thank yous and sorry's between us"

Wei Ying can't help but purr at his boyfriend's sweet words and instead he replied, "I love you"

"I love you too"

"—Ying? A-Ying?"

He woke up to someone nudging him softly, he blinked the darkness away and was greeted by the sight of his fiancé's handsome morning face. "Hmm?"

"Wei Ying it's time to wake up"

"Nooooo...it's too early" He objected like a child, burying his head in the older one's broad and naked chest

"We still have to pick up A-Yuan"

"I know but let's stay like this for a while" Wei Ying stared at him dazedly, still recovering form his long sweet dream.

Lan Wangji couldn't resist his fiancé's cute act and exhaled defeatedly. Noticing his love's dazed gaze, he couldn't but voice his concern, "Wei Ying? What's wrong?"

"Nothing" Wei Ying shaked his head, "Just a long long nice dream"

Wei Ying breathed out and beamed , "Happy Anniversary A-Zhan, I love you"

"Happy Anniversary A-Ying, I love you too"
