Chapter Text
being a successful model at the ripe age of twenty-one was not something park sunghoon had even thought of when he was younger. he hadn't planned out his future, unlike most of his classmates who already had a full-fledged plan. it was by pure luck that he got scouted while he was in a cafe.
the scout had been really persistent and honestly sunghoon was scared of him but he accepted the card and within a year, he had debuted and today he was one of the most famous young male model. every fashion related magazine had his face on it.
becoming a world-famous model at twenty-one was definitely because he lucked out but being a parent figure at twenty-one was only due to a tragedy.
a year ago his sister and her husband had got into a car crash and were announced dead at the site. little jungwon was so young but so, so mature for his age. he had cried a lot in sunghoon's arms but when he had finally calmed down, he had said in a wobbly tone,
"mummy and daddy are in heaven, aren't they? i'll grow up well so that they'll be proud of me."
yang jungwon or park jungwon was much more articulated and versed in vocabulary than other kids his age, something which sunghoon soon learnt after officially adopting his nephew. he wanted to spend more time with his nephew, and he tried his best to but being a model, his schedule some times didn't allow him to do what he wanted.
at first he had decided to hire a nanny but the thought of jungwon interacting and playing with kids his age was more appealing. just to be sure, he asked jungwon about his opinion and the four year old was simply delighted to go to kindergarten and meet new people.
"i'll have so much fun, hoonie! i'll make new friends!" jungwon giggled, bouncing up and down. sunghoon couldn't help but smile at the endearing sight, hugging the little boy. "of course, wonie."
it had been a month since jungwon started going to kindergarten and to say he loved it was an understatement. sunghoon was just happy that the boy wouldn't be lonely while he's busy with his work.
"hoonie!" jungwon squealed, continuing once sunghoon looked at him, "we went to the library today, heedungie read us a story!" the boy exclaimed, eyes sparkling. sunghoon reached out and grabbed the boy, hoisting him on his hip, "really? how nice of heedungie."
and that was the beginning of it. jungwon gushing about 'heedungie' became a daily occurrence at home and sunghoon was growing more curious about the person who had completely charmed jungwon. he didn't have to be curious for too long because currently he was on his way to jungwon's kindergarten to pick him up. it was his first time picking him up, having been too busy before. previously, he had tasked one of his managers with pick up duty. today, his workload had been lesser.
the mental image of jungwon's surprised yet happy face made a smile appear on sunghoon's face as he parked the car and got out. it was winter and the cold crisp air greeted him as soon he was outside. he headed in the building. a lady took him to the class where his son was.
all the classes had see though classes, covered midway with different colours; purple being the one jungwon's class had. from the glass, he could see that there were only a few students in the class. there were two pick up timings and jungwon had told him that he wanted to be picked up at the latest timing which explained why there were only three students in the classroom.
Chapter Text
the person who sunghoon assumed must be the teacher was crouching beside jungwon, who was smiling at the elder. sunghoon approached the door and was about to open it when the other two students got up from their seats and said something to the teacher before running out the class, side-stepping him as he was standing just outside the class. sunghoon heard the teacher reprimand the kids softly for running. he still hadn't seen the teacher but his voice was mellifluous.
"hoonie!"
jungwon yelled, a big smile on his face causing the teacher to straighten up and turn around to look for the person whom jungwon had called for happily.
sunghoon had come across many people who were beautiful, which was a given while working in the model industry. he had come across many people, but none had made him stop and blatantly stare at them.
none except jungwon's kindergarten teacher.
he was ethereal. a fierce yet soft kind of beauty who had completely captivated him with just one look. those big brown doe eyes were just mesmerising, seeming to contain entire galaxies in them. sunghoon could drown in those eyes.
"hoonie?" it was jungwon's confused voice that snapped sunghoon out of his staring session, quickly averting his gaze upon realising that he had been staring at the gorgeous human being for who knows how long. not to mention that he was also jungwon's teacher and was probably thinking that he was a total weirdo.
"hello, i'm-" sunghoon began, trying to save the last bit of his dignity but was cut off. "hoonie! hoonie, this is heedungie!" jungwon said, motioning to the gorgeous human being or 'heedungie' as jungwon liked to call him. 'heedungie' chuckled softly, patting jungwon's head who beamed at him.
"jungwon, why don't you continue coloring? i'll be speaking with your dad about boring adult stuff, you don't want to join us, do you?" heeseung asked, voice so calm and gentle and childlike. jungwon shook his head, grabbing a colour pencil.
heeseung smiled at him before looking at sunghoon who wanted nothing more than to vanish from the face of earth, having made a fool out of himself in front of the most beautiful person on the planet. he began approaching him. sunghoon was mentally screaming at him to back off because he wouldn't be able to handle his beauty at such a close distance.
he flashed a disarming smile, pearly teeth on display. it's a miracle that sunghoon didn't faint on the spot. "i'm heeseung, lee heeseung." he outstretched his hand and sunghoon shook it. his skin was so soft and warm.
lee heeseung. it suited him.
"i'm park sunghoon." heeseung smiled at him, and sunghoon looked down only to see that he was still holding his hand. he abruptly let go, missing the warmth while his face was turning a furious shade of red.
"it's nice to finally meet you, jungwon has talked a lot about you." heeseung said,
"only good things don't worry." he added and sunghoon mentally sighed a breath of relief. he couldn't have jungwon ruining his chances with heeseung, even though he had already ruined them. sort of,
"i could say the same about you." sunghoon replied. "and only good thinds, don't worry." he used heeseung's dialogue on him which made the teacher smile. "i suppose you want to talk about jungwon. he's a really good student. he's made many friends and is attentive during classes. he also possesses a higher intellect than other kids."
"he gets it from his mother." sunghoon replied. his sister was an intellectual and he wasn't surprised when jungwon showed similar traits. he had also made sure to tell jungwon all he could about his real parents and how wonderful they were.
"of course, jungwon has mentioned her." heeseung replied and unlike before his breathtaking smile seemed to possess a sadness which meant that he knew sunghoon had adopted jungwon. how much does jungwon adore his teacher to tell him about basically everything?
it must be those big doe eyes and pretty smile. heeseung radiated a kind of innocence and warmth which made you feel comfortable in his presence; comfortable enough to spill all your secrets and fears. it must also be what made him such a great teacher.
"it's commendable really, how you've raised jungwon." his voice had so much sincerity.
sunghoon had to blink back tears. it hadn't been easy adopting jungwon. many had said and taunted him that a kid would ruin his career and whatnot. all he wanted to do was provide a home for the boy who had lost it. he wanted to take care of jungwon and hearing someone praise him for doing a good job at it felt nice. he felt relieved and happy.
"thank you. really, it means a lot." sunghoon replied. "i have to give credit when its due." heeseung replied, a smile on his face which was doing wonders to sunghoon's heart. was it possible to grow fond of a person within the first ten minutes of your first meeting?
it must be the heeseung effect which had affected jungwon and now him.

Chapter Text
"hoonie, do you like heedungie?" jungwon asked, piercing the silence that had settled in while sunghoon was working on some emails. it had been three hours since they came back from the kindergarten and the gorgeous doe-eyed teacher was all sunghoon could think of and had decided to do some work in order to distract himself.
like him?
of course he liked him. he really didn't want to admit it because he knew how badly he would be teased but he was positively crushing on jungwon's kindergarten teacher, lee heeseung. it was nice to finally know his name and not call him heedungie (not that this name wasn't cute) or jungwon's kindergarten teacher.
"yes, wonie." sunghoon answered
truthfully, ignoring the loud beating of his heart. jungwon grinned and clapped his hands before picking up the paper that he was drawing on and handed it to sunghoon.
it was a drawing of three stick figures. two adult and one kid. it was no rocket science that the two adults were sunghoon and heeseung and the kid was jungwon. the stick figures were holding hands and there were happy smiles on their faces.
a feeling of warmth surged in sunghoon. "this is wonderful, wonie." he said, eyes not leaving the picture. "shall we frame this and hang it up in your room?" the question was met with loud, affirmative giggles and squeals. sunghoon held the smaller's hand and together they walked to his room.
after hanging it up, jungwon had asked him to take a picture of the framed drawing with him posing, and maybe sunghoon had taken one too many pictures but if someone else was in his place they would be obliged do the same. jungwon posing while poking his cheek, dimples on full display was too cute to resist.
"send it to heedungie!" jungwon said, puppy eyes on display. he knew exactly what he was doing. "wonie, i don't have his number." sunghoon replied. he could see the pout forming which was a tell-tale sign of jungwon sulking. he rarely threw a fit which is why it was harder to pacify him, since the two-three fits he threw per year were at full force.
"how about this? i'll ask heedungie his number tomorrow and send the picture to him, okay?" upon hearing him, jungwon's face brightened up, cheering. sunghoon smiled in spite of the turmoil brewing inside of him. what had he gotten himself into? he had to ask jungwon's (gorgeous) teacher his number.
freaking fantastic.
not to mention that he had spent a good five or ten minutes just staring (admiring, if you may) at his beauty, which he was sure heeseung had noticed and thought of him as a creep. in sunghoon's defence, it wasn't his fault but heeseung's. why did he have to be so utterly gorgeous?
sunghoon swore that the man possessed the most beautiful features he had ever seen, proportions that were out of this world and he had something; something that was so pure and kind and warm, like sunlight on melting snow.
he had this aura and charm that attracted everyone towards him.
💗
"shut up jake." sunghoon grumbled, while his best friend's laughter filled the car. he was seconds away from hanging up the call, he had called his best friend for advice but all jake had done was laugh. truly helpful, please note the sarcasm. jake recovered from his laughing fit, "so you're telling me you changed your schedule only so that you could go see jungwon's attractive teacher?"
sunghoon's cheeks instantly turned to a dark red. when he had changed his schedule, he had reasoned with himself that he was doing so in order to spend more time with jungwon and relieve his manger of the task to drop and pick jungwon from the kindergarten. and while these reasons were completely true, he had also hoped that he could get to know heeseung better.
hearing jake say it just made it him realise that yes, he wanted to. he wanted to know heeseung better or perhaps just see him because he had no clue if heeseung was single or not. no, sunghoon. now is not the time to think about this, you don't want to look like a ripe tomato in front of heeseung, do you?
"are you daydreaming about jungwon's teacher?" jake teased and sunghoon promptly ended the call. he didn't need jake's teasing, especially not when he was minutes away from seeing the gorgeous teacher. he had already ruined his first impression, and he certainly didn't want to ruin the second one too.
he had even thought of getting flowers or something but that would've been weird, wouldn't it?
he entered the building, heading towards jungwon's classroom, having memorized the way yesterday. he came to a stop upon reaching the purple room. like yesterday, there weren't many kids in the class. jungwon was speaking with one of the kids who strongly resembled a desert fox. his eye-smile was simply adorable.
sunghoon didn't know how long he was standing outside the class, a smile on his face as he watched his son, until a familiar voice broke the silence.
"they're cute, aren't they?" heeseung asked, seeming to appear from thin air or sunghoon had been too busy watching his son to notice his surroundings. probably the latter.
"truly." sunghoon replied, warning signs flashing in his mind when heeseung smiled in response. how in the world did he look so soft and gorgeous at the same time, or actually all the time? sunghoon swore that heeseung was the kind of person who would never have a bad picture. never.
it was quiet for a few seconds, with sunghoon staring at heeseung yet again averting his gaze at the last moment. great, there went his failed attempt at a better second impression. he just had to ruin it by staring at heeseung again.
"let's go in, i'm sure jungwon will be happy seeing you here." heeseung spoke, the smile still present on his face and a glint of amusement in his eyes. he must be thinking that sunghoon was such a weirdo.
thankfully, heeseung didn't look offended or anything of that sort.
they both entered the classroom, loud squeals welcoming them, "mr. lee! " a giggle escaped heeseung's mouth at the sight. sunghoon waited for jungwon to notice him, having purposefully hid behind a pillar, flushing when he saw heeseung wink at him.
"hoonie!"

Chapter Text
"hoonie!"
sunghoon yelped, jumping in his spot. the annoyance at being found quickly melting into fondness when he heard jungwon giggling.
"nice, heedeungie!" jungwon squealed, high fiving the teacher who sunghoon hadn't even noticed coming closer. "did you betray me?" sunghoon asked, looking at the taller incredulously.
he knew he was being a tad bit dramatic but he couldn't help it. he thought that he and heeseung were in on this together. he wanted to remain sulky but the smiles on heeseung and jungwon were too adorable to be mad at.
"i didn't help him. he happened to see you while you were lost inside your head." heeseung reassured, chuckling at the end of sentence because sunghoon had turned a rosy shade of pink at his words.
he was daydreaming or staring at heeseung again and this time heeseung actually noticed it. why was he such an embarrassing mess?
"are you ok?" sunghoon looked up from the floor, letting out a gasp and stepping back when he noticed their proximity. heeseung's face was inches away from his. if he even leaned a bit closer, their lips would touch.
he had every right to be extremely flustered right now but he had to play it cool.
"i-i'm alright." there goes his plan to play it cool, he cursed mentally. heeseung nodded and then hastily walked away to pack up jungwon's books but there was something weird about his face, sunghoon noticed. is that- was heeseung reddening?
it wasn't as much as his but heeseung was definitely flushing. and goddammit he looked so adorable. he didn't get it. heeseung was so tall and gorgeous but always managed to look so freaking cute. god clearly had favorites.
"here you go." heeseung handed him jungwon's bag, before bending down to bid goodbye to the smaller who buried his face in sunghoon's coat, tugging at it.
"number." jungwon mumbled, voice muffled by the coat but it was clearly audible though sunghoon wished it wasn't because heeseung had also heard it and was now looking at him, puzzled.
when sunghoon remained silent, brainstorming on how to get out of this problem, jungwon tugged at his coat again and he knew he couldn't do anything about it now.
what jungwon wants, jungwon gets.
"um, do you mind giving your number?" sunghoon asked shyly, handing heeseung his phone. "of course, i'm sorry i must have forgotten to do the day we met."
oh bless his soul, sunghoon thought. he was an angel really, saving sunghoon from the embarrassment. any other teacher would definitely be curious why his son was the one asking for the number.
lee heeseung was an angel. end of the discussion.
and he had the angel's number, thanks to his little munchkin.
and if heeseung did wave goodbye while blessing him with his gorgeous smile while sunghoon looked like an utter fool staring blatantly, then that was on him.
and he was totally fine with it.
he was the one with heeseung's number so he was the real winner.
"hoonie, we did it!"
jungwon laughed, doing his happy dance, delighted at the thought of showing the picture to heeseung.
"no, you did it bub. i was ready to run away the moment he saw me staring." sunghoon said, muttering the last part to himself. his son was proving to be the best matchmaker.
now, all he had to do was muster up the courage to text the handsome teacher.

Chapter Text
he stared at it until his eyes burned. he was tearing up yet he hadn't worked out his next move. and he would have sat there, in the same position for the rest of the day if the sudden call hadn't caught him off guard, shaking him out of his stupor.
"what do you want?" he grumbled as he answered the call.
"is that the way to talk to your one and only best friend? judging by the way you sound like wonie when he doesn't get his way, you haven't called him, have you?"
damn shim jaeyoon. his best friend knew him too well.
"ugh, i hate you. ho- will you stop laughing at my misery?!" sunghoon all but yelled into the phone. he didn't know if jake was doing this on purpose, most probably he was, but jake's giggles were doing an excellent job at aggravating him.
unlike heeseung's.
heeseung's giggles were beyond adorable. they were melodic, like music to his ears.
gosh, he was so whipped, he was already waxing poetry about the doe eyed beauty.
"it's so strange, i never expected you of all people to be like this. now, i really want to meet your heeseung." jake said, sounding more serious and sane after he was done laughing for a good ten minutes.
sunghoon bit back a smile upon hearing jake refer to heeseung as 'your heeseung'. he didn't even know heeseung that well, he didn't know his favorite color or number or ice cream flavor but he would be lying if he said that his heart didn't flutter.
they talked for a while before sunghoon hung up when jake started teasing him. again.
as much as jake enjoyed pulling his leg, sunghoon knew that his best friend was the happiest person on earth when he told him that he might have a crush on someone. jake was with him during his entire journey, from the highs and lows and not once did he see sunghoon talk about another person romantically.
with a thudding heart, sunghoon began to type. calling required a greater courage which he couldn't muster, not when the only connection between them was of a teacher and parent. thus, for now calling was put on hold.
he triple checked what he had typed for any errors before sending it. and as soon as he did it, he flung his phone on the couch and let out a loud shriek. thankfully, jungwon was fast asleep for the poor boy would've gotten quite a scare upon seeing the adult lose his mind. a self which the young boy wasn't familiar with.
sunghoon knew it wasn't something to pride himself on, but he did a pretty good job at controlling his outbursts when the feels got too much. at least when jungwon was around. he made sure the boy was engaged with a book or toy or sleeping when he decided to let out his feelings by a method that he liked to call; shout it from the rooftop. yes, it was because he first did it at a rooftop. not really creative but it is what it is.
anyways, he eventually calmed down after letting out a single, loud and satisfying shriek. he slowly picked up his phone, only to let it plop back on the couch when he saw that the message was still on unread. it was quite late, maybe heeseung was already asleep.
of course, heeseung had to wake up early tomorrow for school so it would make complete sense that he was already asleep. not that sunghoon was disappointed or something. no, really. this way, he could at least sleep peacefully without overthinking or analyzing heeseung's reply. he knew that if the teacher had replied, he would spend another hour scrutinizing it.
he peeled himself off the couch and flicked off the lights. he stopped on the way to his room to check on jungwon. he opened the door slowly, a smile immediately appearing on his face when he saw jungwon in a deep sleep, clutching a puppy plushie that jake had gifted him. he placed a kiss on the boy's forehead, made sure he was covered by the blanket and then left.
his manager had notified him of his schedule for tomorrow. apparently the pictorial shoot had been postponed to a later date and he was unofficially on a short break until the pictorial. and boy was he glad for a break. especially at a time like this. he really, really liked heeseung and he knew that jungwon too absolutely adored the doe eyed beauty.
sunghoon, being a famous model and a father, had made a list of requirements that a potential lover of his had to meet and heeseung already met his first requirement which was; treats jungwon well.
and whether heeseung did or didn't meet the rest of his requirements could only be verified if he took the teacher on a date(s). that single text had taken such a great deal of courage that he was starting to doubt himself. a trait of himself which he loathed. he had a shockingly low self-esteem and whenever it appeared the opposite, he was faking it, be it the interviews or the random people complimenting him. he knew that majority of them only saw him as a pretty face.
he didn't want to sound ungrateful. he was grateful that many people appreciated his visuals and liked him.
this was a path that he chose and had brought everything on himself. but sometimes, sometimes he wanted them to see him as a real person beyond his beauty. he wanted them to know that he was much more than that. but he couldn't, not until he was out of the contract, according to which all he had to do was 'sit still and look pretty'. he had to maintain the 'ice prince persona', appear cold and confident. simply, he had to not be himself.
one day, he would fight his demons. that day, he would break out of the fetters bounding him and soar. he would be himself. the version of himself that his friends and family knew and not one crafted by a company.
he knew that day would come soon. and heeseung was giving him the power he needed. the words heeseung had sincerely told him at their first meeting hadn't left his mind ever since and gave him a newfound strength.
he saw a ray of of hope when heeseung smiled at him.
the gorgeous doe eyed teacher was taking over his life and he wouldn't have it any other way.

🌹
sunlight filtered in through the huge glass windows, arousing the sleeping male. sunghoon groaned when the rays hit his face, wanting nothing more than to wrap himself tighter in the duvet and go back to sleep but the alarm blaring was his cue sign to get out of the bed and get ready for the day.
he stretched his hand to retrieve his phone from the nightstand and sleepily unlocked it or tried to. it took a few trials but eventually he succeeded. he was going through his notifications which usually consisted of likes and comments when his finger hovered over a particular one. a text.
he was so glad that he was still half- awake because had he been sober he was certain that he would have dropped the phone on his face and that was a very unpleasant way to start the day. that single notification had already woken him up and made his day a hundred times better, much more than the comments and likes and others. that was the power of lee heeseung.
hello, this is sunghoon
i hope i'm not disturbing you but wonie really wanted to show you this.
(attached picture)
bambi
hello sunghoon-ssi!
oh my, that's adorable. i'll have to give him an extra sticker later.
and don't worry you can never disturb me. :)
the last message (and the smiley face) had positively made him grin like an idiot for five minutes before he decided that it was high time that he should wake jungwon up amd get him ready. contrary to expectations, waking jungwon up wasn't as hard as people assumed it would be. the boy usually woke up as soon as sunghoon called his name. he was a very light sleeper sometimes, especially in the morning and slept like a log at night.
"wonie," he began continuing when the big innocent eyes focused on him, "i sent the picture to heedeungie." he saw the exact moment his words registered, jungwon's features morphing into surprise and then happiness. "really? heedeungie saw it? what did he say?" he asked, almost climbing over the table in his haste. sunghoon laughed, reaching out to to make him sit properly. he kneeled on the ground so that they were on eye level.
"he loved it and said he'd give you an extra sticker because you did so well." sunghoon said, heart bursting with how cute jungwon looked. he was sporting the most adorable smile, effectively igniting the protective urge in sunghoon. the one where he felt like he would remove anyone who upset jungwon from the face of earth. dead serious.
sunghoon's day had been going really well, he hadn't slept in, he had gotten a reply from the gorgeous doe eyed male, jungwon was being his usual adorable self which never failed to brighten up his day, all in all, he was pretty sure that the day couldn't get better. a date with the doe eyed male would make his entire month but he was too much of a chicken to ask him out, so he would have to take a raincheck on it for now.
oh boy, if he only knew what he had in store.
🌹
heeseung was frowning.
sunghoon had dropped jungwon off at his class and was about to return to his car when he spotted him. the teacher looked worried, pink lips pulled in a pout and eyebrows furrowed as he walked to and fro. as soon as he saw him, the first thought he had was that he wanted to wipe away the frown from his face and so, he made his way to the teacher.
"hello." he said one word and froze. he was so preoccupied with the thought of making heeseung smile that he forgot that he was a complete introvert. this is why he hated interacting with strangers, not wanting to make it more awkward than it already was. jake had nagged him many times to go out and socialize but he expected too much of sunghoon. though he really wished that he had listened to his best friend. in his defense, seeing heeseung this close was a hundred times disarming.
a smile appeared on heeseung's face when he saw sunghoon, a beautiful gentle smile, "hi." a moment of silence followed it and sunghoon was debating on whether or not to shoot his shot when heeseung broke the silence.
"am i right in assuming that the third person in the drawing is me?" he questioned, a glimmer of hope in his doe eyes.
sunghoon nodded his head, "the drawing doesn't do much justice to your beauty but it's surely you according to jungwon." did he just give a compliment without stuttering or freezing? and that too to none other than lee heeseung? jungwon's teacher that he was harboring a tiny (huge) crush on? there must have been something in the pancakes that he had for breakfast. it must have given him the courage to do stuff he normally wouldn't even dare think of.
he stole a glance at heeseung who had become silent upon hearing sunghoon, only to end up staring.
heeseung was blushing.
he was flushing a pretty rosy shade of pink, looking even more like the angel that he was. the sight was so enchanting that sunghoon wanted nothing more than to capture it but since he couldn't do it, he made sure to look closely and store it in his mind. or else, alternatively, he could always compliment heeseung more and get to witness the beautiful sight again.
"you're good with words, sunghoon." heeseung finally replied and he felt his heart skip a beat. it was the first time he heard heeseung call him by his name and it sounded heavenly. his voice was just so beautiful and melodic. sunghoon could listen to him talking about anything and everything.
he suddenly remembered the reason he had approached the teacher, "is there something wrong? you seemed to be distressed." the pout appeared again on heeseung's face and it was a whole different experience seeing it this close. heeseung and his adorable habits would be the death of him. "we have planned a trip to the aquarium today for the kids."
"but?" sunghoon prompted, only now realizing that they had making eye contact ever since they spoke and he hadn't felt the need to look away. it was comfortable. heeseung's big doe eyes were calming and beautiful and he could drown himself in those eyes. heeseung exuded comfort.
"a parent who had offered to chaperone called to say that he couldn't make it."
"i'm free, i could help you look after them if you want." he had blurted out the words without a second thought. it just tumbled out of his mouth. his brain saw it as an opportunity to get closer to the doe eyed male and he took it.
heeseung's sparkling doe eyes widened, "tha-that would be amazing but are you really fine with it? you don't have to do it if you feel obligated. i'll manage."
sunghoon smiled, putting a hand in his pocket, "don't worry, i want to do it and,-"
do it, his brain commanded.
"-i'd also like to get to know you better."
and he did.
"was that supposed to make my heart flutter?" the doe eyed male questioned, a coy smile on his face, not one to give in so quickly.
sunghoon ran a hand through his hair, an action that had caused many to swoon over him. "maybe, did it work?"
he was gifted with a melodious giggle, "keep that up and it might." saying so, heeseung winked at him and began walking away, leaving sunghoon standing in his spot, still as a statue.
too many things had happened and he was still in the process of registering them. he had complimented heeseung without making a fool out of himself, he had made him blush and witnessed his beauty from a close distance. he had offered to tag along to the aquarium trip. he was going on a trip with heeseung. he had attempted to flirt and heeseung flirted back. and. . . heeseung winked at him.
he had been so wrong when he thought this day couldn't get better. so freaking wrong.
he had scored a date with the lee heeseung, the gorgeous doe eyed male that he had fallen for at first sight.
Chapter Text
heeseung's day had been a rollercoaster of emotions and it was only 11 am. wild, he knows. the day had started on a good note, they were going to take the kids to an aquarium. he had overheard jungwon saying he wanted to see fishes and he immediately put in a request to the dean. favorite privileges, though he would never admit that he had a favorite student.
he couldn't help it, something shifted in him the day the small boy with wide boba eyes entered his class. he hadn't the faintest idea that he would end up crushing on the boy's father. in his defense, it was thee park sunghoon. no one could look at him and not expereince their heart beat faster.
it was also so flattering to see such a deadly handsome person staring at him. it was also unbearingly cute the way sunghoon's cheeks pinkened and the averting of his gaze when he noticed heeseung had caught him. the father and son were overwhelmingly adorable.
they had made a place for themselves in heeseung's heart and it was so nice to know that it was requited.
sunoo had been pestering him to confess to the model and make a move and he had been mustering the courage to do so but sunghoon had bet him to it. fraternizing with his crush had not been on today's planner but it seemed like the universe was helping him out for once. now he was actually grateful to that one parent for not showing up. perhaps he wasn't as unlucky as he thought.
okay, he was being dramatic, he tended to be lucky.
jungwon had been pleasantly surpised when he spotted his father. there was a proud smile on the little one's face seeing the other students in awe of his father. heeseung could totally relate, he was in a very similar position.
they assisted the kids on climbing up the bus and made sure no one was left behind. there were around eight kids on the bus and all of them were excited for the field trip. he also entered the bus, followed by sunghoon. and if he slightly stumbled and a strong arm held him, none of them spoke about it.
"everyone, are you buckled up?" heeseung called out to the students receiving a chorus of 'yes'. a smile made it's way to his face upon hearing their enthusiastic response. he was so glad that a certain someone helped him out so he didn't have to cancel the field trip. and the certain someone was sitting right next to him.
how nerve-wracking.
the sheer excitement on the young ones' faces gave him a sense of accomplishment. as the bus started moving, he decided to check on the students. sunghoon was about to stand up and help him but heeseung told him to remain seated and get some rest. it was probably his day off yet he had offered to be a chaperone. the doe eyed male's heart was teetering dangerously.
shaking off those thoughts, he stopped by each and every student to make sure they had everything they needed. he had done two rounds just in case and was about to go and take his seat.
"heedeungie."
someone whispered but there was no need to search for the owner of the voice. there was no way he wouldn't recognize that voice and also there was only one student in his entire class who called him that. and it melted his heart every single time. "yes, wonie?" he crouched down beside the smaller, voice soft as he addressed the younger.
jungwon glanced at his friend who was sitting beside him before he beckoned him to come closer and cupped his mouth, as if he was telling him the biggest secret on earth. heeseung leaned in closer.
"this is a secret but hoonie really really likes you."
they say that kids never lie. they always speak the truth. and it didnt help that he could feel the model stealing glances.
"really?" he whispered back.
junngwon nodded before he motioned him to come closer a second time.
"does heedeungie like hoonie?"
does he? does he like the ridiculously handsome father of his student who he had caught staring at him multiple occasions with the most adorable look on his face whenever he realized that he had been caught? who had noticed his upset face and immediately offered to help him?
"yes, i really do."
a big fat yes.
jungwon let out an excited squeal, undoubtedly attracting the attention of sunghoon who was patiently waiting for the doe eyed male to return to his seat. he fondly shook his head at the sight of heeseung and jungwon before looking away. his son liked heeseung a lot. and, it was a beautiful sight, two important people of his life with smiles on their faces as they looked at each other. truly beautiful.
"hey there."
sunghoon's heart fluttered, which was now an automatic and unconscious reaction to anything heeseung related. "hey yourself." he replied. he could proudly admit that he had reached the state of not stuttering while conversing with his crush. postive character development, we love to see that.
"i happened to hear a secret from a little cat." the doe eyed male said, a teasing lilt to his voice and a glint in his beautiful eyes. he was truly a sight for sore eyes.
wait a minute.
a secret? from a cat? wonie
sunghoon groaned, "the little cat knows all my darkest secrets."
"this is an adorable one, trust me." saying so, he extended his pinky finger waiting for sunghoon to interlock their fingers.
sunghoon was well-known in the entertainment industry, but no one knew the real him, owing to the cold facade he put on and one of the lesser known facts about him was that he was impulsive with a capital i. jake had suffered a lot because of his imoulsive decisions. however, this impulsive decision could bag him a date.
what a coincidence that the day after was the weekly holiday of the kindergarten.
"only if you spend tomorrow with me."
