Chapter Text

Marinette was just about to fall asleep when she saw a white glow from below her bed. Worried that it was a possible akumatised victim, she discreetly poked Tikki awake. “Hello?” she called out, hoping that someone would alert her of their presence.

It was Bunnyx who popped her head up, giving Marinette an awkward smile. “Hey minibug! Need your help, ASAP.”

“What? What for Alix?”

“Let’s just say future you has got a problem,” she responded resolutely before pulling Marinette out of bed and shoving her into her burrow.

Marinette had to squint for a while before her eyes adjusted from her dark bedroom to the fluorescent light of the burrow. “When are we going?” she joked.

“2031. You and chat are having a bit of an argument and I need you to be the mediator.”

“What?? Bunnyx you can’t possibly be serious?”

“Deadly. This could offset your entire partnership.”

“Fine then.”

Bunnyx led her to the right entryway that would take the two of them when they needed to go.

Marinette cautiously entered what looked to a normal apartment. “Why are we here Bunnyx?”

“Hello!” A voice sounded from the kitchen. A woman walked out and Marinette could not contain her gasp. A 25 year-old heavily pregnant Marinette Dupain-Cheng stood in front of them.

“Yes, yes. I’m pregnant but we’ve got more important things to get to work on. Mini-me, I need you to go talk to Cat Noir. “

“Why would I need to talk to Cat Noir? Why not you?”

“Because my hus-“ Older Marinette caught her self, “because he’s being foolish, and maybe you can talk some sense into him.”

“What’s the problem?”

“He took away my Miraculous.”

“WHAT? Why??”

“Because miraculous’ work magic but they don’t conceal 20 pounds worth of baby weight.”

Mini-Marinette had to try really hard to keep herself from laughing. Why would she try and transform into ladybug while pregnant? Odd. “Where can i find him?”

“Probably by the Seine? or maybe on M’ont Parnasse Tower.”

“Tikki, spots on!” Mini-Marinette called, “I’ll go and convince him.” Marinette was about to swing out the window before she looked at her older self.

“Who’s the father? Are you married?”

Older-Marinette was about to answer before Bunnyx shook her head no.

“Guess I won’t find out today.”

Chapter Text

It took Marinette a little while to locate him, but she finally found him sitting on the roof of M’ont Parnasse.

“Little kitty on a roof, all alone without his lady.” she heard him quietly hum, though she did notice that his voice was quite deeper than the Cat Noir she knew.

“Y’know, maybe you wouldn’t be all alone if you’d give me back the miraculous.” Marinette said.

Cat Noir turned around quickly, but couldn’t move the moment he saw the Ladybug he’d first met 10 years ago.

“Ladybug?” He finally mustered out. Marinette was finally able to get a good look at him. He looked good. His suit had changed in ten years passing, it looked more shapely now, and accentuated the muscles on his body. It now sported a green outline which only further brought out his green eyes. His hair looked relatively the same though. Cute and fluffy, a nice juxtaposition to his relatively hard looking figure.

After staring for a while, she finally spoke.“Ladybug but 15. Close enough though.”

“Explains the old look. Did Bunnyx send you here?”

“The ladybug of your present wants her miraculous back.”

“No. It’s too dangerous. I love her and I’m not gonna allow her to parade around the city putting her self and her baby in danger.”

“Oh my god Cat Noir. Ten years later and you’re still obsessing over me? I’d have thought you’d move on by now.”

“What? Why wouldn’t i be in love with my wife?” Cat slipped out before he could stop himself.

Marinette just stood there, absolutely slack jawed. “We get... married?”

“Let me guess, you’re the ladybug from before we tell eachother. Right?”

Marinette nodded.

“Whoops.”

Chapter Text

Bunnyx and Future-Marinette were sitting on the couch, waiting for Mini-bug to bring Cat noir and her earrings back.

“And you’re absolutely sure this is when the you from ten years ago found out Cat’s identity?”

“One hundred percent sure.” Marinette responded back. “I find out we get married, go into shock, Adrien reveals who he is, like an idiot, and I come back here with him and my earrings.”

“Whoops?” Marinette asked, “Whoops? That’s all you have to say? You can’t be telling me things like that, oh my god!”

“Okay, listen, Marinette. It’s not a big deal, I mean, you’d been crushing on me for ages anyway.”

“What! No? I’ve never crushed on Cat Noir! Only… Adrien Agreste.”

Cat Noir smiled meekly. “Sorry LB, but you had to find out sooner or later. Plagg, claws in.”

“No!” Marinette shouted, but it was too late. A 25-year-old Adrien Agreste was standing right in front of her.

“Adrien?” Marinette whispered.

“In the flesh.”

“You’re Cat Noir? You mean to tell me I’ve been rejecting my crush for the past five months.”

“Unfortunately, Mini-bug.”

“Oh my god! Oh my god, oh my god!”

“Okay, cool it Marinette. If you chill out I’ll come with you and give the earrings back.”

By the time they’d gotten back, Marinette had already gone into labour. Alix was trying her best to cool her down when she heard a combination of sounds including “Spots off!” and “Claws in” heralding the arrival of Mini-bug and Cat.

“Finally!” Alix shouted at them when they came through the window. “Marinette has been in labour for the past 10 minutes, and let me tell you, it is NOT a pretty sight.”

“What?” Adrien said, wide eyed. He left into the room before Alix could shout at him anymore.

“Can I go see Marin- I mean, myself?” Marinette asked.

“Sorry Minibug, but I’ve gotta take you back to your time.” She grabbed her pocket watch from her jacket and called out the transformation words, “Fluff! Clockwise! Burrow!” Once her burrow had formed, she pulled Marinette into it.

“What? Already? Bunnyx, Cat Noir, well future-Cat Noir just dropped a giant bomb on me. How am I supposed to patrol with him in the morning after I’ve found out!?”

“You have to Marinette. If you wanna keep the time stream stable, you have to tell your Cat Noir. Today.”  

Chapter Text

Bunnyx dropped Marinette off back into her bedroom, bid her a ‘good-bye’, then left back to her present, leaving Marinette all alone in the dark room with nothing but her thoughts.

Marinette climbed up the ladder to her bed, and decided it would be best if she’d just go to sleep now.

“Marinette,” Tikki whispered, “are you okay?”

She turned on her side to face the small kwami, “Honestly Tikki, no. I don’t know what to do! If I tell him I’ve found out his identity, he might have to give his miraculous up. Then what would I do without him? Plus, the fact that he’s Adrien too? I’ve been quite possibly the snarkiest person ever with him. ALL. THE. TIME. He’ll hate me as Marinette, and Ladybug.”

“Give him a chance to react Marinette! It’s not the end of the world. Maybe he’ll like you back once he finds out you’re Ladybug?”

“I don’t know about that Tikki. He likes Ladybug. Not Marinette. And I’m the exact opposite of myself when I’m Ladybug.”

“Not true Mari!” Tikki squeaked back, “You’re just yourself, unfiltered. You’re Marinette, without the shyness and clumsiness!”  

Marinette laughed, but she still didn’t feel any better. Tikki noticed and continued talking, “Anyway, we saw what happens after you tell him. You and Adrien get married! And you have a kid! You’re meant to be with him Marinette!”

“Okay. I guess that makes sense. I’ll have to tell him tommorow anyway. Good night Tikki.”

“Good night Marinette.”

Marinette tossed and turned the entire night, but by the time the sun began to rise, she realised it was Saturday morning, and she hadn’t received any sleep, whatsoever. Once sleep finally washed over her, it was such a deep slumber that not even Tikki’s incessant noise making (a well-intentioned attempt to wake her up) could pull Marinette out of it.

Marinette finally woke up at a time that she guessed to be late afternoon. “Oh my gosh!” She said, jolting out of bed, “It’s noon! Oh no! Tikki? Why didn’t you wake me up?”

Tikki, who was usually patient to a fault, sighed and discreetly rolled her eyes.

She ran down for her breakfast to see her mother, baking a cake for some occasion Marinette both couldn’t remember, and didn’t care to remember. Her mother look at Marinette, who was wolfing down her cereal, clearly concerned.

“Marinette, Cherie? Are you alright? You look like you’ve developed a fever?”

Marinette hadn’t even noticed that she was sweating bullets, the combined stress of talking to Adrien Cat Noir, and being late to their morning patrol, had made for one overly stressed Marinette Dupain-Cheng. “I feel fine Maman! Don’t even worry about me! I’ve just got a lot to do today!” She said, as she finished her cereal, and put her bowl into the sink.

She was already up the stairs when her Mother responded, “Alright, Honey.”

“You know,” Tikki said, as Marinette opened the hatch back into her room, “that you don’t have to worry about Adrien over-reacting? I’m sure you’ll be alright.”

“Yeah, I hope you’re right. Now lets go! Tikki, Spots On!”

Cat Noir had been sitting on a building overlooking the Eiffel Tower, when he finally spotted Ladybug jumping over buildings. “I wonder what took her so long,” he said to himself.

“Hey Cat Noir.” Ladybug said when she sat down next to him.

“Hey bugaboo! Late start today?” He responded.

“You have no idea.”

“You’re looking a bit nervous,” he said, observing the way she fidgeted with her hands, “everything alright Milady?”

“W-we beed- sorry, need to talk.”

“Uh-oh. What is it?”

“Iknowwhoyouare.” She said, quickly.

Cat Noir stood up, “No.”

“I’m gory- Ugh! I’m sorry! I didn’t want to pie- I mean, lie to you.”

“So you know who I am?”

She nodded.

“Prove it then. Who am I?”

“Adrien Agreste. Listen, I am so sorry! I swear, I swear on my miraculous that I wasn’t trying to find out!”

“It’s okay LB. I knew it was bound to happen eventually.” He sighed. “So… You gonna tell me who you are know?”

“I don’t know. Isn’t it risky?”

“C’mon, Milady! It’s kinda unfair that you know me and I don’t know you!”

“Fine, fine, fine! I’m… Marinette! Marinette, Dupain-Cheng. God, this is so awkward, I never should’ve told you, Mon Dieu, stupid, stupid, stupid!”

Adrien grabbed her hands, “Calm down Marinette! This is kind of awesome isn’t it! We know each other in real life! Just like I thought we did!”

“You don’t… Think it’s awkward?”

“I think it’s pretty darn cool.”

And then they rode off into the sunset together. Jk. But they did get soulmates ice cream from Andre Glacier.
