Work Text:
Growing up with your father, there had always been certain rules about boys. Being a goddess meant that people often found themselves in awe of your beauty and being. You'd think, with your father being the God of Mischief and all, that you could basically do anything you wanted.
This, however, was not the case. You had been surrounded by chaos from a young age and taught pranks from the moment you could stand on your own two feet. Your father even trusted you to join him on certain dangerous missions. But, dating? There was a zero-tolerance policy that your father had set in place as soon as he began to notice your interest in boys.
Because you cared for your father, you had always followed this rule. He pretty much let you do anything you wanted to, anyways.
However, you were your father's daughter. It was only inevitable that you would someday get a boyfriend.
You and Peter had been going out secretly for the past two months, and did a very good job of keeping the relationship a secret from your father, with only a couple of people actually knowing; those people being May and Natasha.
One day while you were at the compound, your father dealing with whatever on Asgard, Natasha had stumbled upon Peter and you in a compromising position. You figured you might as well just tell her that you and Peter were in a relationship and not just hooking up.
Since then, you've told no one about it, in fear that word might somehow get to Loki.
Currently, you were laying on Peter's bed as he lay on top of you, making out. His hands were on your sides and yours were wrapped around his neck as you moaned into each other's mouths. The situation was about to go a step further when you were interrupted.
"y/n, I've been told to inform you of your father's arrival."
"Thank you F.R.I.D.A.Y." you sighed into Peter's neck. "We gotta get up."
"Mmm, why?" Peter said as he peppered kisses into your neck.
"Cuz if I don't greet him, he's gonna come looking for me and eventually find us, well..."
It was Peter's turn to sigh, "okay, okay." He planted one last kiss onto your lips before getting off of you. You both stood up and attempted to fix your appearance. Peter peaked his head out the door, checking to make sure no one was around, and you both made your way down to the main room.
You entered and saw not only your father surrounded by the others but Uncle Thor as well, who was the first to notice you.
"y/n/n!" He said with the same excitement that a child might have upon seeing Santa Claus. He ran up to you and engulfed you in a huge bear hug, lifting your feet off the floor.
"I didn't know you were here," you said as you hugged him back tightly. "I missed you."
He put you down. "And I missed my favorite niece."
Loki took in y/n's appearance. Her hair was messed up and her clothes were wrinkled. Her chapstick was smudged, as well. Y/n turned to him and also gave him a big hug. Loki also noticed the state of the younger boy with who you emerged. His hair was also messy, as well as his clothes.
"Hello, Father," you said happily.
"Hi, erm, can I talk to you for a moment?" Asked Loki.
"Sure," you said as you let him lead you to the kitchen, away from everyone else.
Loki rubbed his forehead and looked as if the worst thing imaginable had just transpired. "What were you doing with that, with that boy?" He was angry.
You were taken aback by his question. Why was asking about Peter? What could he possibly know? It's not like you and Peter had done anything more than making out. He could get that mad, could he? "N-nothing, father. We were just hanging out; we're f-friends."
"Uh-huh," he nodded pacing around the kitchen. "Do you want to tell me, y/n, why you are lying to me?"
Shit. You were in for it now. "I'm not lying. Why would you accuse me of such a thing--"
"I know you're lying to me, y/n," he continued. "Do you remember who I am? I am the God of Lies!"
Shit. His voice was rising in volume and your mind was going a mile a minute. Shit. Shit. Shit. You didn't know what to say, so you chose not to; just staring at your feet and the tile beneath you.
"Y/n," your father warned, taking a step closer to you. "Tell me who that boy is and what you were doing that caused your appearance to look less than presentable."
Shit. "Okay, father, I know your rule--the rule-- but hear me out okay?" You looked up to study his features. When he didn't say anything, you took that as your cue to go on. I've pretty much been alone my entire life; I mean I had you and Thor, but I've never really had friends. Most of them too scared of you to even say hi or smile at me. That's not your fault, I know, but it's affected me.
"Peter is the only person my age to be nice and treat me like I'm more than just the daughter of, well, you. He actually befriended me and, well, we started dating about two months ago and it has really helped me so much to have someone there for me while you were away," you bit your lip and avoided Loki's gaze as tears started to cloud your vision.
"He just...makes me happy, Father. That has to count for something," you let out a dry chuckle as you expected your father to yell at you; maybe forbid you from seeing Peter ever again, or even lock you up so that there is absolutely no chance of this happening again. However, his answer surprised you.
Loki looked at you for a moment before saying, "That's great, y/n. I love that you found someone who will care for you even when I can't. That's all I've ever wanted you to have. I--"
You engulfed him in the biggest bear hug. "I love you. So much," you mumble into his chest as he held you tightly against him. Loki rested his head on yours, just happy that she has found someone to make her happy, but sad that he has to let the thing he loves most in this universe go.
"I love you, more. But I swear to the gods, y/n if he hurts you or so much as--"
"Father!"
"I'm serious y/n, I will make him wish he was never born. Do you understand me?"
You smiled and nodded before exiting the kitchen and jumping into the arms of your, newly approved, boyfriend. Peter easily caught you as you wrapped your legs around his waist, both of you not caring about the others in the room.
"What's this for?" Peter asked, leaning back to look you in the eyes.
"You're in!" You squealed and kissed him.
"Ahem!" You heard from behind you and you quickly jumped out of Peter's arms and wiped the corners of your mouth with your sleeve, also hiding your smile.
