    Katniss and Peeta survived the 74th Hunger Games together, a miracle in and of itself. But that short peace is threatened by President Snow as he pressures Katniss to stop the rebellion throughout the Districts that she unintentionally began.

    When the 75th Hunger Games, the Third Quarter Quell, is announced to reap the Victors from the previous Games, Katniss is forced into the Arena again with even more deadly adversaries, whom some have put a hit on her. They are faster, stronger, smarter, and have known each other for far longer than they have herself and Peeta. Among these tributes are the three most dangerous, most powerful, and most mysterious: Castiel from District 5, Sam from District 8, and Dean from District 10.

    Trust amongst killers is difficult but it may be the only weapon Katniss has that can save her and Peeta from the Hunger Games for the second time.
