"Every time Nanika granted a wish, there was an equivalent exchange. Her powers didn’t spawn things into existence, rather, they either brought them to the wisher, or they converted one energy into another. When one of the butlers asked for money, an airship went off course and then dropped it onto her. When Nanika healed a bird, Alluka had to sleep for almost an entire day afterwards; Nanika converted some of Alluka’s health to that of the bird’s. If he asked her to bring Gon back to life, well…."
