What would you do if you despised your tribute? What if your tribute was a terrible person? Would you still do everything you could to get him home alive?
Bran Grist of District 9 has been mentoring every year since he won the 127th Hunger Games over twenty years ago. And every year, it’s the same thing: he leaves his backwards district to come to the Capitol where he inevitably fails his tribute and watches them get brutally murdered. But this year, new Training Center rules have hit the victors hard, and Bran is cut off from his good friend. And now Bran finds himself mentoring a tribute the likes of which he’s never seen. What do you do when you’re faced with a tribute you don’t believe should win the Hunger Games? How can you accept that you actually want your tribute to die?
